As far as I'm aware, the alleged seers claim that the secrets of Medjugorje will end with the coming of the era of peace. For reasons too complex to detail here, I believe that the collapse of Cumbre Vieja will occur after the era of peace, and change the geo-political landscape, allowing the Antichrist to come to power. Although there will be some warning, as judging by the biblical evidence, it seems that this will be timed very near to the eschatological earthquake - an extremely large seismic event centred on Jerusalem, connected to the Second Coming of Christ.
So if you hear of any extremely large earthquake at or near Jerusalem, accompanied by reports of a major apparition, the collapse of Cumbre Vieja would not be very far behind.
But the good news is this event still seems some way off, since the Second Pentecost must occur first - which helps to give us some hope. Certainly there is much here, and it will take some time to catch up! Regarding Medjugorje, I know that the seers have said that they will reveal each secret (which concern world events) 3 days before it happens. Each seer has a chosen spiritual director who they will tell 10 days before the secret is to take place, then that seer and the director will spend 7 days in prayer and fasting, and will then announce the secret. So, assuming that Medjugorje is authentic (which I believe it to be), I hope to have a 3-day warning prior to a mega-tsunami destroying the Eastern seabord of the USA (which is where I live, in Baltimore, Maryland, right by the water). I would not expect the general public to take such an announcement too seriously. At any rate, I do hope we are all wrong about any mega tsunamis, etc. and that we all grow to a ripe old age and die safe and warm in our beds, surrounded by our loved ones and after receiving the Sacraments!
Padraig, why are you angered? When I am angry, I really try to discern what is the source of my anger, why I am having a strong, emotional reaction to something. It is usually very telling. At any rate, you are free to read here or not, and we all know that if there are future disastrous events, the "good" will die with the "bad" as often as not. And yes, we also know that the loss of even one sould to hell for all eternity is a much bigger calamity then even the destruction of the whole eastern coast of the USA or any other country.
BTW, I did not vote for Obama, did not watch the inauguration yesterday, do not believe one word he says. This is a man who consistently chooses the wrong, morally speaking, for our country.
God bless,
JenniferAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6767475475753279918.post-91238166293478987112013-01-18T19:05:04.357+00:002013-01-18T19:05:04.357+00:00It is always interesting to read of the interpreta...It is always interesting to read of the interpretations of man as to the 'final days' as recorded in the Bk. of Revelation and elsewhere. Not until one 'rightly divides the word of truth (the bible)to be an approved workman unto God' (2 Tim. 2:15) that we can truly understand this. We must know what belongs to the Body of Christ and what to Israel. We are very near to Jesus' returning so now, especially, is the time to understand 'truth'.
Follow me on F/B for some logical bible teachings. Blessings to all. Is there any reason why? I don't see the connection. That passage concerns a prophetic vision of the defeat of Satan at the end time, when the serpent's head is crushed, as is further attested by the following verse in Luke 10:19:

And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you."
(Luke 10:18-19)

But although Satan is defeated, and is cast down to the earth (Rev 12:9-12), he tranfers his power and authority to the Antichrist, who bears the wound of Satan's crushed head which appears to be healed:

And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast.
(Rev 13:1-3)Emmett O'Reganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01043723932377194248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6767475475753279918.post-35138056302348594112012-12-09T06:57:14.393+00:002012-12-09T06:57:14.393+00:00Emmett,

I argue in the book and various blog posts that the first six seals have already been opened, which means we are still in the period of the sixth seal. Also that some of the events described at the sounding of the trumpets have already taken place. The trumpets appear to be mostly achronological though, and arranged in accordance to thematic content rather than the actual sequence in which they take place. They also seem to take place during the same time period as the seals, and recapitulate them to a certain extent.

So the events that have taken place already would be the first six seals (although part of the prophecy of the sixth seal still has to unfold), the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th trumpets. Also the events described in Rev 12 and 13 have already mostly taken place, as well as the "millennium" or era of the Church, followed by the "little while" given to Satan (as per the vision of Pope Leo XIII) and the resulting Great Apostasy.
So the events that have yet to happen is the coming of the Two Witnesses/Second Pentecost/era of peace. The Second Coming of Christ. The fall of "Babylon". The appearance of the Antichrist and the battle of Armageddon.Emmett O'Reganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01043723932377194248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6767475475753279918.post-88713835953189726862012-11-28T03:23:05.824+00:002012-11-28T03:23:05.824+00:00Hey Emmet, I recently found your blog and although...Hey Emmet, I recently found your blog and although I haven't read through everything, I've found a lot of your interpretations to be very interesting, especially linking Hitler and the Holocaust to Daniel/Revelation, the False Prophet, the persecution of the Saints, etc.

I was wondering how far through Revelation you think we are?Keithnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6767475475753279918.post-43925746205322547982012-11-27T23:05:56.724+00:002012-11-27T23:05:56.724+00:00Hi Ron,

Thanks for pointing it out!
I am familar with Fr. Birch's book though. It has its faults (not all the prophecies cited can be considered to be 100% genuine, and it doesn't list the original sources), but it is the most complete collection of Catholic prophecies to date. I would like to see an edition which cites all of the original sources, to make it easier for proper academic research. As it stands it is a very good book, but I would like to see more references to the original source material.
