A commentator has recently drawn my attention to
the prophecies of Sr. Jeanne le Royer (who took the religious name of
"Sister of the Nativity"), a French nun who received a series of
apocalyptic visions in the 18th century. Sr. le Royer's visions were recorded
in the 1817 book Vie et Révélations de Sœur de la Nativité (The Life and
Revelations of the Sister of the Nativity), by Charles Genet. Her
prophecies correspond quite closely with many of the hypotheses I forward in my
book Unveiling the Apocalypse - which is quite remarkable,
given the fact that my theories on this subject were not in any way influenced
by this particular source.
Sr. le Royer's prophecies mention mountains
"cracking and splitting" after a series of great earthquakes, which
she states will take place just before the coming of the Antichrist. As anyone
who has read the book will know, in Unveiling
the Apocalypse I argued that the
rise of the Antichrist will take place following the total economic collapse of
America, which I believe will happen as a result of the greatest natural
disaster in human history. If the East Coast of the Americas is devastated by
the mega-tsunami event generated by the
lateral collapse of the volcano Cumbre Vieja in the Canary Islands (an event
which will fulfill the "great mountain, burning with fire" being
thrown into the sea in Rev 8:8), this unprecedented disaster would ensure the total
economic collapse of the entire United States. This event would then leave a
political vacuum that will provide the perfect opportunity for the rise of the
Son of Perdition to world dominance. In turn, I argue that
the repercussions of this catastrophe will inevitably lead to the
battle of Armageddon, when the world will be destroyed by fire "falling
from the sky" (as was warned by Our Lady of Akita).
If we study the prophecies below, we can see
that series of events depicted in the Sister of the Nativity's visions
corresponds exactly with the hypothesis I forward in the book:
“…I see in God that a long time before the rise
of Antichrist the world will be afflicted with many bloody wars. Peoples will
rise up against peoples and nations will rise against nations sometimes allied,
sometimes enemies in their fight against the same party. Armies will
come into frightful collisions and will fill the earth with murder and
carnage….”
“…These infernal and foreign wars will cause
enormous sacrifices, profanations, scandals and infinite evils, because of the
incursions that will have been made into the Church…”
“…As well as that I can see that the earth will
be shaken in different places by frightful earthquakes. I see whole mountains
cracking and splitting with a terrible din. Only too happy will one be if one
can escape with no more than a fight but no I see come out of these gaping
mountains whirlwinds of smoke, fire, sulphur and tar which reduce to sinders
entire towns. All this and a thousand other disasters must come before the man
of Sin (antichrist)…”
According to Sr. Jeanne le Royer, some time before the coming of the
Antichrist, the world will experience the "nations rising against
nations" foretold by Christ in His eschatological discourse on Mt. Olivet
(which I argue relates to world wars of the 20th century). After this, she sees
the earth being shaken by a series of earthquakes which cause "whole
mountains" to crack and split. In the book, I theorize that the eruption
of Cumbre Vieja in the Canary Islands is directly related to the eschatological
earthquake which devastates Jerusalem during the Second Coming of Christ. This
earthquake is described in the Book of Revelation as the greatest earthquake in
human history - which takes place just before God punishes "Babylon
the Great":
"And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath."
(Rev 16:18-19)
The Book of Jeremiah tells us that this punishment will be brought about by the casting down of a "burning mountain", after which, "Babylon" is engulfed by huge tidal waves:
“Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain, declares the LORD, which destroys the whole earth; I will stretch out my hand against you, and roll you down from the crags, and make you a burnt mountain"....
"How Babylon is taken, the praise of the whole earth seized! How Babylon has become a horror among the nations! The sea has come up on Babylon; she is covered with its tumultuous waves. Her cities have become a horror, a land of drought and a desert, a land in which no one dwells, and through which no son of man passes"...
"A voice! A cry from Babylon! The noise of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans! For the LORD is laying Babylon waste and stilling her mighty voice. Their waves roar like many waters; the noise of their voice is raised, for a destroyer has come upon her, upon Babylon"...
"When you finish reading this book, tie a stone to it and cast it into the midst of the Euphrates, and say, ‘Thus shall Babylon sink, to rise no more, because of the disaster that I am bringing upon her, and they shall become exhausted."
(Jer 51:25, 41-43, 54-56, 63-64)
"Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence, and will be found no more"...
(Rev 18:21)
"The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood".
(Rev 8:8)
In the book, I theorize that if the world's greatest earthquake took place in Jerusalem, as is predicted in the Apocalypse, this would almost certainly lead to an increase of volcanic activity across the North African tectonic plate, which in turn, could ultimately lead to a devastating eruption of Cumbre Vieja. This would then explain how "Babylon" is to be punished after the greatest earthquake in human history, as is described in Rev 16:18-19. So the sequence of events given in the prophecies of Sr. le Royer fits in perfectly with timeline of events I attempt to detail in Unveiling the Apocalypse.
Rather interestingly, the Sister of the Nativity's prophecies appear to
be related to the first decades of the 21st century:
“…One day I found myself in a vast plain alone with God. Jesus appeared to me and from the top of a small hill showing me a beautiful sun in the horizon. He said dolefully: “the world is passing away and the time of my coming draws near. When the sun is about to set one knows that the day is nearly over and that night will soon fall. Centuries are like days for me. Look at this sun; see how much it still has to travel and estimate the time that is left in the world.“ I looked intently and it seemed to me that the sun would set in about 2 hours. Jesus said “Do not forget that those are not millenaries but only centuries and they are few in number” But I understood that Jesus reserved to Himself the knowledge of the exact number and I did not wish to ask him more. It sufficed me to know the peace of the church and the restoration of the discipline were to last a reasonably long time…”
Writing towards the end of the 18th century, Sr. le Royer was told that the "sun would set in about 2 hours", and that these hours represented centuries - placing the significance of her prophecies as relating to sometime around the turn of the millennium. Yet before this "setting of the sun", when the world will pass away, Sr. le Royer was shown that the Church would be restored during an age of peace which would last "a reasonably long time". Given that her prophecies are centred around the turn of the millennium, it seems that the age of peace given to the world before the coming of the Antichrist is related to this exact time period.
The above prophecies of Sr. Jeanne le Royer are fairly well known,
having been cited in the books Catholic Prophecy by Yves
Dupont, The Prophets and Our Times, by Rev. Gerard Fulton and Desmond Birch's Trial, Tribulation & Triumph. But
there is another lesser known prophecy of the Sister of the Nativity which
dates the significance of her prophesied events even more specifically to the
second decade of the 21st century:
"Woe ! Woe ! Woe to the last century !
Here is what God wanted to show me in his Light. I began looking in the
light of God, the century which must begin in 1800; I saw by this light
that judgement wasn't there, and that it wouldn't be the last century. I
considered, thanks to the same light, the century of 1900, until the end,
to see positively if it would be the last. Our Lord made me know, and at the
same time made me doubt, if it would be at the end of the century of 1900,
or in that of 2000. But what I saw, it is that if the judgment arrived in
the century of 1900, it would come only towards the end, and that if the
world exceeds this century, the one of 2000 will
not pass without the judgment intervening, as I saw it in the light of God."
(Vie et Révélations de Sœur de la Nativité, Charles Genet,
book IV, pp. 125-126)
Here, Sr. le Royer tells us that a judgment she was shown in "the light of God" would take place before the 21st century had passed. But what could this particular judgment refer to? The fact that the visionary was shown a judgment taking place in "the light of God" sounds remarkably similar to the words of the Third Secret of Fatima:
the
Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!'.
And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar
to how people
appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop
dressed in White
‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other
Bishops, Priests,
men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the
top of which there
was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree
with the bark"...
|
In the Third Secret of Fatima, the Shepherd Children were also shown a judgment taking place in "an immense light that is God" - in the form of the final Passover of the Church, which will take place during the persecution of the Antichrist. But the children were additionally shown that this light was "something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it". As we will discuss in some more detail in a future post, the great mirror-like "light" shown to the Shepherd Children of Fatima (which takes place just before the final Passover of the Church) is related to the appearance of the Great Sign foretold by St. Faustina and Our Lady of Akita, which many commentators believe is directly related to the prophecy of the Illumination of Consciences - when people will see the state of their souls reflected back at them as if shown in a mirror. It seems that the appearance of the Great Sign (which will possibly be something like a spectacular cross-shaped supernova) will cause people to deeply reflect and examine the state of their consciences, and will help to fully establish the Second Pentecost. In the Third Secret, the appearance of the mirror-like "immense light that is God" takes place in direct response to the Angel's threefold call for penance before the earth is struck by the flaming sword. This call for repentance will be met with the arrival of the Second Pentecost, when Our Lady will intervene to quench the flames that threaten to consume the planet through the triumph of her Immaculate Heart.
Is it possible then that the "judgment"
seen by Sr. le Royer taking place in the light of God is one and the same as
immense light seen by the Shepherd Children of Fatima? If so, then the arrival
of this event is dated by the Sister of the Nativity to occur before the close
of this very decade - which is yet
another remarkable convergence on this particular time period.
One last striking parallel of the prophecies of Sr.
Jeanne le Royer with the theories I present in Unveiling
the Apocalypse is the nature of
the relationship between the Two Witnesses and the martyr-pope seen by various
Catholic visionaries.
“…Antichrist will kill the Pope, probably by crucifixion. As a child of ten he will know more than anyone else in the world and when he is thirty he will begin his real work. Fifteen days after the ascension of Enoch and Eli as into Heaven, terrible catastrophes will come upon the earth: most severe earthquakes, tidal waves inundating much of the earth's surface, culminating in a thick darkness over the entire earth. “
Here, Sr. le Royer foretells the martyrdom of a pope under the auspices of the Antichrist - which appears to deliberately echo the deaths of the Two Witnesses by the Beast that rises from the bottomless pit:
And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that rises from the bottomless pit will make war on them and conquer them and kill them, and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city that symbolically is called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.
(Rev 11:7-8)
The mention of the pope being "crucified" is a symbolic link to the martyrdom of the first pope, St. Peter, and also further ties into the Third Secret, where the "bishop dressed in white" embarks on his own via dolorosa, before being martyred at the foot of the Cross in Jerusalem. Sr. le Royer then turns from mentioning the assassination of a pope under the Antichrist to describe the ascension of "Enoch" and "Eli" (Elijah), which further suggests that the identity of one of the Two Witnesses is a Roman Catholic Pontiff. After the martyrdom and ascension of the Two Witnesses in the vision of Sr. le Royer, she is shown "tidal waves inundating much of the earth's surface", which would again tie in with my mega-tsunami hypothesis. In this scenario, the "thick darkness" enveloping the earth would most likely be due to a massive volcanic eruption (i.e. at La Palma in the Canary Islands). This would then correspond with my theory that the "huge mountain, burning with fire" being thrown into the sea takes place in response to the martyrdom of the Two Witnesses. The water turning to blood after the burning mountain is thrown into the sea recalls the ministry of Moses and the plagues of Egypt - which may also have been caused by a volcanic eruption (see the earlier post The Santorini Eruption and the Apocalyptic Plagues of Egypt).
The Book of Zechariah tells us that a "great mountain" is
thrown down by Zerubbabel - who is used by the Book of Revelation to
represent one of the Two Witnesses:
Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain.
(Zech 4:7)
In addition to this, the Apocalypse describes a great earthquake taking place in Jerusalem after the ascension of the Two Witnesses into heaven:
But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them. And at that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
(Rev 11:11-13)
This earthquake, centred on the Holy City of Jerusalem (the place the
Lord was crucified), is the same as the eschatological earthquake which splits
the "great city" into three parts in Rev 16:18 - after which God
punishes Babylon the Great. The Book of Zechariah tells us that this great
earthquake, which splits apart the Holy City, will take place during the Second Coming of Christ:
Behold, a day is coming for the LORD, when the spoil taken from you will
be divided in your midst. For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem
to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women
raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people
shall not be cut off from the city. Then the LORD will go out and fight against
those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. On that day his feet shall
stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the
Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley,
so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half
southward. And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of
the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the
earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come,
and all the holy ones with him.
On that day there shall be no light, cold, or frost. And there shall be
a unique day, which is known to the LORD, neither day nor night, but at evening
time there shall be light.
(Zech 14:1-7)
In turn, the Book of Ezekiel states that after
this colossal earthquake in the land of Israel, mountains would be
thrown down and God will summon a sword against the end-time enemy referred to
as "Gog" during the battle of Armageddon. It is then that the realm
of Satan under his servant the Antichrist will be destroyed by fire falling
from the sky, as warned by Our Lady of Akita:
But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel,
declares the Lord GOD, my wrath will be roused in my anger. For in my jealousy
and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great
earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea and the birds of the
heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the
ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my
presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall,
and every wall shall tumble to the ground. I will summon a sword against Gog on
all my mountains, declares the Lord GOD. Every man's sword will be against his
brother. With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with him, and
I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples who are with him
torrential rains and hailstones, fire and sulfur. So I will show my greatness
and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they
will know that I am the LORD.
(Ezek 38:18-23)

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 533 Newer› Newest»And if Fulton Sheen's warnings from the past are not enough to make us pause how about St Francis of Assissi's?
Shortly before he died, St. Francis of Assisi called together his followers and warned them of the coming troubles, saying:
"1. The time is fast approaching in which there will be great trials and afflictions; perplexities and dissensions, both spiritual and temporal, will abound; the charity of many will grow cold, and the malice of the wicked will increase.
"2. The devils will have unusual power, the immaculate purity of our Order, and of others, will be so much obscured that there will be very few Christians who will obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with loyal hearts and perfect charity. At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavour to draw many into error and death.
"3. Then scandals will be multiplied, our Order will be divided, and many others will be entirely destroyed, because they will consent to error instead of opposing it.
"4. There will be such diversity of opinions and schisms among the people, the religious and the clergy, that, except those days were shortened, according to the words of the Gospel, even the elect would be led into error, were they not specially guided, amid such great confusion, by the immense mercy of God.
"5. Then our Rule and manner of life will be violently opposed by some, and terrible trials will come upon us. Those who are found faithful will receive the crown of life; but woe to those who, trusting solely in their Order, shall fall into tepidity, for they will not be able to support the temptations permitted for the proving of the elect.
"6. Those who preserve their fervour and adhere to virtue with love and zeal for the truth, will suffer injuries and, persecutions as rebels and schismatics; for their persecutors, urged on by the evil spirits, will say they are rendering a great service to God by destroying such pestilent men from the face of the earth. but the Lord will be the refuge of the afflicted, and will save all who trust in Him. And in order to be like their Head, [Christ] these, the elect, will act with confidence, and by their death will purchase for themselves eternal life; choosing to obey God rather than man, they will fear nothing, and they will prefer to perish rather than consent to falsehood and perfidy.
"7. Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer."

Jamey, Tom is right. You can't just accuse our Pope's of such horrid actions, and pat yourself on the back. You, sir are offending the throne. This is what's wrong with some of the so-called SSPX supporter's. And this is why your movement is stagnant. There is no life to it. In the words of St Margaret of Cortona, "I see more Pharisees among Christians than there were around Pilate." Jamey, you are confusing the 16 year old Hannah, who may just have a vocation. You are selling sensationalism. And that is the perfect example of "Satan's counter church which will be the ape of the (Catholic) Church...It will have the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content..." You are pitting our JP II, who embraced the whole world and all its concerns against your version of orthodoxy. This is a demonic distraction from the Real Kingdom. In the words of Pope Benedict XVI, "The Second Vatican Council has not been treated as part of the entire living Tradition of the Church, but as an end of Tradition. The truth is the Second Vatican Council defined no dogma at all, and deliberately chose to remain on a modest level, a merely pastoral council. And yet many treat it as though it had made itself into a sort of super dogma which takes away the importance of all the rest." Jamey, Vatican II was merely pastoral, outlining the desire for new methods and standards, but in no way defining new doctrine or exercising infallibility. You need to understand this! THE CHURCH DID NOT CHANGE WITH VATICAN II. The Second Vatican Council MUST be interpreted in the greater context of the Church's previous two Councils, which according to our Pope Paul VI, Pope Benedict, Pope John Paul II, and Pope Francis, hold a higher place in history. So, Jamey instead of contradicting the Council's intentions and blaming our Pope's, help our sick Church by understanding the Good news. Embrace the Good Samaritan Jamey, who was hated by the Jews, and stop your devisive hate towards those who sacrificed their lives to the Truth. God Bless.
"I see more Pharisees among Christians than there were among Pilate" said St Margaret of Cortona. Jamey, you are not embracing the Good Samaritan, who the Jews despised because (they got everything wrong about God and the Patriarch). This is what is typically wrong with SSPX supporters. And this is why that movement has no life, it's stagnant. You, Jamey use orthodoxy as a distraction from the Real Kingdom. You don't promote the Good news, you promote sensationalism. Which in fact is the perfect example of "Satan's counterchurch which will be the ape of the (Catholic) Church...It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divisive content.." Jamey, THE CHURCH DID NOT CHANGE WITH VATICAN II. The Second Vatican Council MUST be interpreted in the greater context of the Church's previous two Councils, which according Pope VI, Pope JP II, Pope Benedict, and Pope Francis hold a higher place in history. According to Pope Benedict, "Vatican II has not been treated as part of the entire living Tradition of the Church, but as an end of Tradition. The truth is the Second Vatican Council defined no dogma at all, and deliberately chose to remain on a modest level, as a merely pastoral council." You and the SSPX treat it as though "it had made itself into a sort of super dogma which takes away the importance of all the rest." "Vatican II was merely pastoral, outlining the desire for new methods and standards, but in no way defining new doctrine or exercising infallibility." And Pope Benedict is correct. Unfortunately, your movement does not get it. Your movement is guilty of unhealthy extremes in contradiction of the Councils intentions. This abandoning of the field is anti Catholic. What SSPX should have done was loyally join Pope Benedict in generously participating in the formation of new institutions, bringing to them the Christian spirit which is the basis principle of order wherever men work together in fraternal harmony. Because Jamey, those who make a practice of spreading dissension among Catholics assume a terrible responsibility before God and the Church. Be the instrument of grace towards the 16 year old Hannah, and end your stubborn uncharitable obsession against our Pope's. Mark is right, when he says to focus on a Catholic action by helping families in our society who are in need of assistance. Aid the priest by relieving spiritual and material suffering. Be that Good Samaritan, our Pope's are great examples of this. God bless.
"Jamey, you are confusing the 16 year old Hannah, who may just have a vocation. You are selling sensationalism."
Do not put me in this, please. This has nothing to do with my vocation and Jamey isn't doing anything wrong obviously. We're engaged in a conversation. There is nothing wrong with that.
I'm not about to despair and leave the Church, ok? I'm asking honest questions here.
Nobody is insulting the Vicar of Christ. Some of us question why he choose to pray with Pagans, and be blessed by pagans, etc. Nobody is judging the Pope. We're just asking why? Why did he choose to do all that? I love Bl. Pope John Paul II. I think he was a great Pope, but he did many questionable things. That's all I'm saying.
"Be the instrument of grace towards the 16 year old Hannah, and end your stubborn uncharitable obsession against our Pope's."
Actually, I learn some things from Jamey.
God bless!
~Hannah
Hannah, how do you think we can reach pagans, if we lack the charity of patience and kindness, which avoids all semblance of demeaning paternalism and ostentation? Charity is how JP II, and all the missionaries from the beginning of Christianity won to Christ the poorest of the poor, the slaves, and the pagans. We should be grateful for them. JP II's manner of acting towards pagans did much to make them feel inclusive. He didn't renounce their culture, there was no bloody revolution. Instead he regenerated a force of Christian charity that poured into their hearts an inner peace which their world needed so much of. He showed them how to love they neighbor, and he taught Christians not to be afraid of such love.
Humbly posting a request for a stop of personal attacks so we can return to respectful dialog and information sharing. I have been uncomfortable with the sudden multiple, nasty attacks directed toward Jamey.
Anonymous,
Good points on the SSPX.
I add a few more.
The two primary identifying marks of the SSPX and their sympathizers are Disobedience and Ignorance.
First, Disobedience: The SSPX and their sympathizers will spend all day whining and complaining about some of the failings of some of the Popes, whilst in the same breath paying loyal tribute to excommunicated bishops and defrocked priests in their own ranks. They will also spend all day trying to tear apart approved apparitions like Fatima and Our Lady of All Nations, while in the same breath supporting and promoting unapproved private revelation like Medjugorje, MDM and the like.
Second, Ignorance: the SSPX and their sympathizers do nothing but complain about the Ordinary Form of the Mass, and yet they seem to be clueless to the fact that the Ordinary Form of the Mass is closer to way Mass was first said by the early Christians than the Extraordinary Form. They are also sloppy when it comes to the facts concerning Fatima. They come up with all these wild conspiracy theories that basically allege that Sister Lucia and the Vatican have been either lying or forging documents, but when one questions them on the factual basis for their conspiracy theory they can't produce one lousy document in support of their theory. They want you to accept their conspiracy theory simply because they said so. They crave authority, that is why they try to tear down the Pope's authority. They are ignorant to the fact that the Holy Father could be the most evil man on the planet and yet this would not matter one iota when it comes to his authority on issues of Faith and Morals.
The SSPX are modern Pharisees: disobedient, ignorant and craving authority that does not belong to them.
The Church has been too lenient with them in my opinion.
"Folks - to declare JPII "possessed" is to declare Jesus a liar when He said the gates of Hell will not prevail against the rock of Pete"
Nobody "declared" JPII possessed, careful with language, the possibility was raised in connection to several items. If I erred doing this God, Pope John Paul II and all offended please forgive me.
To those who think I am selling sensationalism, what has happened in the Church the past 50 years has made any Hollywood story look tame. Anon I am not patting myself on the back, I have my faults. Also I bear no hate toward JPII but distress at the Churches situation, you have posted some utter crap to be honest. You have made the false dichotomy of talking about the perils of the Church to slandering and hate.
As much as I will get flamed here, Hannah just stick with what Michael Voris has on his website and videos they will keep you safe. Read the basic catechisms such as St Pius X's.
Love it, Milton at his very finest. Milton I asked this question earlier and you didn't answer it - if a priest is aware (and not through the sacrament of confession) that other priests are engaging in sodomy and interfering with children should he be obedient to superiors who say to be quiet or does he do the right thing by God even if it means excommunication? Please answer the question which you are prone not to do when they are difficult!
Carol, concurred if this isn't the last epoch the Church will learn a lot from the past 50 years going forward on how not to do things. Sr Lucia herself in the early 70's referred to the diabolical disorientation of those in positions of heavy responsibility. We have Pope Leo XIII envisioning the pillars of the Church in the future shaking so hard that he thought it was going to collapse and asked is there salvation for the Church. Back in St Francis' day the pope saw the pillars of the Church crumbling and saw a man named Francis holding the Church up, will another Francis, Pope Francis hold up the Church pillars which Pope Leo saw shaking especially through the Consecration.
As mentioned before and a couple of years ago on here parts of the Neues Europa article probably contain portions of the unreleased part of the Third Secret. Interesting Carol your earlier comment about the oceans turning to steam (fireballs from Heaven) and JPII's comments in Fulda about nations being flooded. Did he make the connection to fire falling from Heaven and these being like hail? Rev 16:21 "And great hail (fireballs?), like a talent, came down from heaven upon men: and men blasphemed God for the plague of the hail: because it was exceeding great." Looking at Rev 16:20 achronologically "And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found."
An interesting exercise would be to sort through Neues Europa and leave in all statements referred to in approved apparitions/or visionaries and put a line through the others.
Jamey,
"As much as I will get flamed here, Hannah just stick with what Michael Voris has on his website and videos they will keep you safe. Read the basic catechisms such as St Pius X's."
Amen to that! I thrive on his daily Vortex. Michael is a shining light in the Church today. He really is. If I wanted to do one thing right now I would go work with him in a heart beat! ;)
Glad you mentioned St. Pius X. I'm with him, totally against Modernism. I love his Catechisms as well as the Baltimore Catechism. Time it was brought back to the parishes so teens like me can learn true religion. Who's with me?
"We have Pope Leo XIII envisioning the pillars of the Church in the future shaking so hard that he thought it was going to collapse and asked is there salvation for the Church."
I don't know if this is on Emmett's blog anywhere (so much to keep up with here!), but I want to know more about that vision. Any articles?
"Back in St Francis' day the pope saw the pillars of the Church crumbling and saw a man named Francis holding the Church up, will another Francis, Pope Francis hold up the Church pillars."
Exactly my thoughts! I think the choosing of that name was prophetic in some way. There has never been a Pope Francis! Think about it!
God bless, Jamey! :)
My name above*
~Hannah
Jamey,
I think you have made excellent points and I really don't understand why so many people on this site are mischaracterizing your comments and judging your intentions. People need to relax and remember that this blog is going to lend itself to tough questions and speculation about the past and future. Sorting thru Neues Europa is a great idea. I think I saw it even done somewhere already on the web and if I find it again I'll let you know. I think that if we are indeed in the end times we need to pay real close attention to what is going on now and in the recent past so that we will not be deceived.
Carol
Wow! I just found this quote from Sister Jeanne where she mentions vapors...it is very strange bc the supposed third secret I posted also mentions vapors rising!
“My Father, God has manifested to me the malice of Satan, and the perverse and diabolical intentions of his emissaries against the Holy Church of Jesus Christ. At the command of their master these wicked men have traversed the earth like furies, with the intention of preparing the way and the place for Anti-Christ whose reign is approaching. Through the corrupted breath of this proud spirit they have poisoned the minds of men. Like persons infected with pestilence, they have reciprocally communicated the evil to each other, and the contagion has become general. What convulsions! what scandals! The thick vapours which I have seen rising from the earth, and obscuring the light of the sun, are the false maxims of irreligion and of license, which in part originated in France, and in part came to us from abroad. These have succeeded in confounding all sound principles, and in spreading everywhere such darkness as to obscure the light both of faith and of reason. The storm began in France and France shall be the first theatre of its ravages after having been its forge…” 23

Jamey - you bring up thoughtful points. No offense or attacking you is meant. Debate can be useful in looking at various viewpoints. Ultimately, God is in control of history, and His Will be done. Whether that means we are in the end times or not, remains to be seen. There have been many in previous generations, that swore they were in the end times. Guess what - life went on. We are commanded to live life as ordinarily as we can, assuming we will reach old age and die naturally. If the vapors should rise one day while we are alive, so be it - we won't know until that day, so no need to worry about it. God Bless everyone for loving Christ and the Church.
Hi Carol.
I thank you for your thoughtful response, and for signing your comments. I think there's a little too much anonymity on this blog. Folks can use the Name/URL function key and type in a name to keep it less confusing; or just sign off at the end like you and Hannah do.
I am not offended that the Holy Father kissed the Koran. He was simply extending an expression of Christ’s love for humanity, and respect for Islam. The worst that can be said about Pope John Paul II in this case is that his actions may have been misunderstood, as they clearly have by some.
The pope did not leave the Church in shambles. The Holy Catholic Church lead by Jesus Christ, who is always with us both physically and spiritually, has always been and always will be the place of refuge against the prince of this world. There has been no apostasy, no disorientation, and no pillars shaking. Jesus leads His church infallibly, and the Church will stand strong despite attacks from the evil one until He returns in glory. His Church is our sanctuary and we should always love and defend it. There can be no doubt that the popes served humanity at the calling of almighty God.
It’s not necessary to remind me that the popes are human, are disposed to making mistakes, and commit sins like all the rest of us. However, the Church commands us to never calumniate another person even if true.
Hi Jamey
Sorry to have attacked you. You know how much I esteem your scholarship and intelligence. I do think you are wrong in your criticisms of Pope Paul VI and John Paul II though.
To Everybody
I apologize for the strident tone. I love, honor and defend the Holy Church and the vicars of Christ. Just finished Stephen Walford’s excellent “Heralds of the Second Coming.” I recommend it to everyone who has an interest in the popes of the Marian era.
Tom
No worries anon 4.29 if that was you earlier I am sorry for my language.
Tom, we disagree on things but I think you are a good man and never took offense to your comments, you made them with no venom my friend. Thanks for your kind comments.
Interesting Carol, a lot of interesting little coincidences here. So the same Sr LeRoyer who says God's anger will manifest no later than 2 decades into the twentieth century. The alleged Third Secret from Fr Villa doesn't contain anything regarding Russia and nuclear war and I think that is a big exclusion because Cardinal Ottaviani said in the mid 60's they didn't want information to get in the wrong hands for certain moves enemies may take. To the chagrin of some I will bring up the enigma of Fr Martin again who said part of the Third Secret involved a new form of energy. EMP warfare was developed in the 60's.
From John Salza:
"My research has led me to a frightening though plausible conclusion: Beginning in 1960, Russia and the United States became formally aware of the biggest material threat to modern civilization.
That threat is referred to as an electromagnetic pulse attack (EMP). An EMP is created by the detonation of a nuclear bomb over a geographical area which damages or destroys all of the electronic systems within the targeted area. In 1960, both the Soviet Union and the United States formalized plans to test nuclear weapons that would be able to bring about a paralyzing EMP against their enemies.[1] These tests would reveal the potential damage of an EMP which far surpassed scientific expectations.
In 1961 and 1962, the Soviet Union launched a series of nuclear bombs over a large geographical area in Kazakhstan whose infrastructure was heavily electrified. The series of test launches was known as K-3 or Test 184.[2] Reports were later issued which revealed that the civilian infrastructure of Kazakhstan was severely damaged. Major underground power lines failed, diesel generators malfunctioned, radar was disabled and telephone lines were shut down. All overvoltage protectors fired, and all of the fuses on the power line were blown.[3] Even with the usage of relatively smaller nuclear bombs in these tests, debilitating damage was achieved..
On July 9, 1962, the United States also performed an EMP test known as “Starfish Prime” by launching a high-altitude nuclear bomb over Johnston Island in the mid-Pacific Ocean.[5] It was discovered that electromagnetic fields were adversely affected in Honolulu, Hawaii almost 900 miles away. Streetlights were extinguished, microwave communications were disrupted and burglar alarms were sounded off. A number of orbiting satellites were also destroyed.

This may also be why the Popes have chosen not to release the Third Secret. In their minds, revealing it would risk precipitating the prophesied events. For example, when John Paul II in Fulda, Germany (1981) was asked why the Secret was not released, he replied: “Given the seriousness of the contents, my predecessors in the Petrine office diplomatically preferred to postpone publication so as to not encourage the world power of Communism to make certain moves.”[21]
Cardinal Ottaviani had similarly stated in 1967 that the Secret was not revealed in order “To avoid that something so delicate, not destined for public consumption, come for whatever reason, even fortuitous, to fall into alien hands.”[22] When Messori in his 1984 interview with Ratzinger pressed him by concluding “I venture, it seems that here [in the Third Secret], also as in the two other ‘secrets,’ Russia is mentioned?” the Cardinal refused to go further and discuss any of the details.
These statements indicate the Third Secret may reveal a devastating attack by Russia against the West, which could most easily be achieved through EMP warfare. This information is indeed “delicate” and extremely dangerous in “alien hands,” because it would publicly reveal the outcome of Russia’s successful military strategy against the U.S., which it sought to confirm during its EMP testing in 1961-1962. Note well that it takes only a single scud missile, at a cost of only $100,000, with a single nuclear warhead, launched from an inexpensive base or shipboard in international waters, and detonated at 250 miles over the central U.S. to fatally cripple our nation. This is also why such an attack could easily come from the less sophisticated, rogue nations of the Middle East, who are under the direction and control of “the world power of Communism.”[23]
The Blessed Elena Aiello prophesied, in 1960 of all years, that “another terrible war will come from the East to the West. Russia with her secret armies will battle America; will overcome Europe.” She also said “Russia will march upon all the nations of Europe, particularly Italy, and will raise her flag over the Dome of St. Peter’s” [Is Rome the city in ruins revealed in the Third Secret?].
In the 1854 prophecy of Zachary, it is also revealed that Russia and China will go to war against the West and “North America will fall and be conquered and brought into bondage.”[24] For Russia or China to overrun the United States military and its armed citizens in such manner would seemingly presuppose we were previously rendered incapacitated to some extent to defend ourselves. This would indeed be the case after an EMP attack. "
The recent "Satan" nuke Russia have constructed: http://breakingdefense.com/2011/12/19/russia-accelerates-new-super-nuke-after-talks-breakdown-with-u-s/
Combined with this we can see events in the Middle East taking place which are most likely Fatima being fulfilled and particularly with Sr Aiello's visions.
God Bless Hannah you will be fine, there is a lot of confusion and mayhem at the moment but that will be sorted in God's time. For a kid your age you have been given special graces you are blessed! I was fortunate to see Michael Voris in Perth recently his speech inspired me greatly but he was very humble and took questions from many despite being severely jet lagged. Much stuff on his website is excellent for apologetics.
He had his reversion about 10 years ago. As a kid he was an altar boy for Fulton Sheen – he said one day someone came up presenting a book to Sheen in the sacristy about Catholicism’s similarity to eastern religions and Sheen went berserk screaming for them to get out! I wonder if his reversion had to do with the intercession of Bishop Sheen.
Jamey,

Thanks for being so kind. :)
BTW, If you all don't mind, here's my link to my personal chat room, if any of you ever want to talk to me: http://us11.chatzy.com/78257044091005 Just type in a name and your in. I'd love to talk to you, Jamey and anyone else!
I'm not trying to advertise or anything, though.
I am so jealous! You saw Michael? Now, your blessed! :)

He talked about this in a vortex. I can't believe he served the Mass of a Saint! I love Michael. He's a shining light in the Church today.

Tom,
Thanks for replying. I guess the main point on which we differ is that I am offended by a pope showing such reverence toward a religion and its book which advocate violence and lies. Such veneration has contributed to religious indifferentism and confusion. Also when the pope had a Buddha placed on an altar it is really hard to believe the devil did not do a happy dance! This is diabolical disorientation, and only God can judge the heart but when idols are brought into the church that is a cause for alrarm.
Jamey,
You could be correct about this third secret but what if the war spoken of and the vapors and the foam are the direct result of Russian nuke attacks? Just playing devil's advocate, no pun intended. Also I noticed that the Akita apparition also mentions the survivors will envy the dead which would definitely be possible for survivors of a nuclear attack.
Carol
Carol,
I have little knowledge of nuclear weapons but would have thought they wouldn't turn the oceans into vapor and foam, perhaps small select parts but not large areas. I think Mark W mentioned earlier that a CME would also result in the EMP phenomenon and that would wipe out all infrastructure connected to/reliant on electricity so the survivors would still envy the dead. I think there will be a war and then a supernatural chastisement although how much later am not sure. Many genuine prophecies indicate a war/ and also a supernatural chastisement.
Blessed Elena Aiello: "‘The world will be once more afflicted with great calamity; with bloody revolutions; with great earthquakes; with famines; with epidemics; with fearful hurricanes; and with floods from rivers and seas. But if men do not return to God, purifying fire will fall from the Heavens, like snowstorms, on all peoples, and a great part of humanity will be destroyed!"
It is also worthwhile adding in addition to the 1854 prophecy of Zachary, the growing Russia-China Axis.
http://frontpagemag.com/2013/ariel-cohen/the-russia-china-alliance-grows/
After the fall of the US to China/Russia, Zachary says “…and then the whole world fell under the dominion of the first born of hell.”
So if this prophecy is genuine the world will be under Communist rule however the purifying chastisement by fire (also mentioned at Quito and due to the lack of consecrated virginity) may come after.
It does seem this prophecy of Zachary (an Armenian Jew who converted to Catholicism) was published in 1854 and hence bona fide so quite alarming especially in consideration of what is developing on the world scene.
Hannah I did feel a bit for the guy who came to Sheen with that book but it was funny at the same time. Voris is a very gifted speaker. He spoke for about 2 hours without any aids and with great flow. Why he decided to come to Perth who knows.
chatzy? - I could imagine you enjoying a good chat. Then again so do I!
God Bless.
Officially, there are about 17,000 nuclear warheads left on the planet. (There are more, as China consistantly says they have only 250, but everyone assumes maybe 10 times that). Let's call it a realistic number of 20,000.
If every single warhead hit the Atlantic Ocean at the same time with a surface burst, they would not vaporize the Atlantic. They would create a great many radioactive holes in the water, but they would not turn the sea to vapor.
However, a large rock from outer space might do the trick. Another impact like Chicxulub could vaporize enough water to empty the Gulf of Mexico. But it would also come very close to wiping out all life on the planet...like it did 65 million years ago.
The point is this - to vaporize ALL the seas would certainly require enough energy to destroy all life on the planet (even cockroaches). It would, in fact, probably crack the planet open in the process.
Jamey,
I think Bl. Elena said that the fire would come directly from the angels? How do you interpret that? I'm just wondering.
"chatzy? - I could imagine you enjoying a good chat. Then again so do I!"
Drop by any time! I could talk to you forever! ;)

Chatzy? Oh brother does everybody just want to throw up? Nice going Mark, trying to keep the "chat" from totally making us sick. I get the feeling this neo-con bigot SSPX crowd of "Oh, I can talk to you forever!" are taking some of us for a ride. I've got an 18 year old who is member of Malta and is studying to become a nurse. She's graduated from Catholic schools, and is quite knowledgeable with her religion. As a matter of fact, she's even traveled to Lebanon with Malta. She would laugh at this Da Vinci cult obsession against JP II. I think we have a few straw men here.
"I get the feeling this neo-con bigot SSPX crowd of "Oh, I can talk to you forever!" are taking some of us for a ride."
Neo-con bigot SSPX? Why the flaming? I am not a member of the SSPX and I'm not a Modernist, either. I happen to despise Modernism in the Church today, as all good Catholic should, BTW. I'm a traditional Catholic, loyal to the Holy Father and the Magisterium.
I happen to enjoy a good conversation. I don't know why you have a problem with that.
"She would laugh at this Da Vinci cult obsession against JP II."
Who said they were against Bl. Pope John Paul II? What is this "Da Vinci cult obsession against JP II" you speak of? Please don't put words in our mouths.
God bless!

Haha! It's fun, but I won't. ;)

Jamey says:
"Love it, Milton at his very finest. Milton I asked this question earlier and you didn't answer it - if a priest is aware (and not through the sacrament of confession) that other priests are engaging in sodomy and interfering with children should he be obedient to superiors who say to be quiet or does he do the right thing by God even if it means excommunication? Please answer the question which you are prone not to do when they are difficult!"
Strange, I don't remember you asking me this question. Maybe it would have been better if I had forgot you asked this question and you had forgot to bring it up again, because it exposes the utter pettiness and sophistry behind your argument. For you to even pretend that I would be okay with a priest remaining silent in the situation you imagined, shows how shallow your diversionary tactics have become. But that is to be expected from someone who has alleged that Sister Lucia, Father Fox, Sister Mary Bethlehem, Cardinal Ratzinger, and Pope John Paul II are all either liars or forgers. It is to be expected from someone who sympathizes with the disobedient, excommunicated bishops from the SSPX.
Good Milt so you expect that someone should be following the spirit of the law than the letter at all times, likewise the SSPX when Rome was burning. I already answered your questions regarding Sr Lucia and yes others have lied about the 3rd Secret/Consecration.
By the way you are wrong again - the bishops aren't excommunicated, it was lifted in 2009 by B16. They weren't required to repent as is required by canon law when someone has done wrong and to be entered back in the church. Furthermore B16 alluded their 88 excommunication was unjust. Sling as much poo as you want at the SSPX they will be shown to be correct in time.
Thanks for answering the question, another one - do you and have you posted under several id's on this blog?
Really Jamey? You are WRONG! The SSPX has become quite comfortable in making their own rules and does not truly want reconciliation. SSPX places blame solely on Vat II and believes that even if all priests and bishops were orthodox that we'd be in the same mess now. That's what rejecting the Hermeneutic of Continuity means. So the Council erred and all Popes afterwards erred, and ultimately Vat I needs to be re-examined as does our acceptance of any Ecumenical Council. That is pathetic, and dangerous. And those who call themselves true Catholics should not be part of such a cult. You, Jamey, are a victim, just like those who followed Fr Maciel in Regnum Christi. And you could not find a more orthodox order than Regnum Christi. But it was demonic. And like Regnum Christi, SSPX is not the Church - the Church was found on the Rock of Peter. SSPX is nothing more than a rebel group. And they possess an incomplete understanding of Holy Tradition. SSPX does not share the same faith with the Roman pontiff, refuses obedience to him, and rejects the laws and discipline of the Church. They see themselves as the sole faithful remnant. They like being independent and answerable to no-one. A bunch of self righteous, Pope hating, Rome hating, neo-Donatist cult. Pope Benedict and JP II were way too kind. They should have smack down on these antichrist's a long time ago. And as for those who continue to harp on our Church and its actions, get a load of this. Since Pope John Paul II, 6 million African Muslims converted to Christianity, and the conversions continue in the multitudes everyday. This is what it's all about. Saving souls. Our Pope's have shown us well, that engaging in dialogue with other faiths and preaching respect for the rights of Muslims or Buddhists, etc.. brings conversion. So, dear Jamey, you in essence are a Protestant. Vatican I teaches the Pope is the principle of the faith and unity of the Church. It is necessary to be in union with him at ALL times and share the same faith with him. SSPX does the absolute opposite. How long will it take the SSPX to recognize the error of their way? It is wrong to gloss over their disobedience to Rome. Our Pope's did not wish to provoke a deeper schism, but they should ignore these heretics. SSPX can do more being inside than out. If they really want to see other heretics and scoundrels dealt with by Rome, returning to the field would help Rome do that. What you and your group Jamey seem to ignore is that abuses already existed in TLM! You are waiting for a situation to arise in the Church that has never existed in its entire history. The Church has never been without sin. There have always been abuses, sin and error among Catholics. You picked Luther over Peter, Jamey. What a shame.
Miltonic, you're point is lost in the vitriol. I don't even read past the first sentence. A touch of humility would go a very long way, indeed. It wold get you a lot further than a whip and chair.
Where's Emmett?
Hi Mark,
We're experiencing the rarest of things here in Ireland right now - a heatwave. I can't remember the last time we had a summer here. There's been almost continuous rain in the summer here for the past ten years, with the "trapped jet stream" system, or whatever. So I've been outside a lot more getting the most of the sunshine while it lasts. I'm also putting together an epic post, which is very time consuming, especially in between working. So I haven't really had time to weigh in the comments section.
I do read all comments however, and given some of the content of recent ones, I think I might have to start moderating them. I think it is very uncharitable to launch a personal attack on anyone, and we should respect everyone's beliefs, and be able to engage with people we disagree with in a respectful manner. This is how proper evangelisation is done - with proper respect and openness to dialogue. I understand that emotions can run high if someone is deeply passionate about a subject, but a certain tone can be interpreted very badly through the medium of text, often beyond that which the writer is trying to convey.
It's a shame if I have to start moderating, because I wanted to let everyone have a say...
Mark,
I've always thought that the world would ultimately be destroyed by a coronal mass ejection/supernova as well, and also that this would come after the battle of Armageddon. I think it would take some time for humanity to die out altogether after a nuclear holocaust, and perhaps a CME to make a full end before the new creation would be a great mercy, so that the survivors don't envy the dead for a prolonged amount of time.
"I'm also putting together an epic post, which is very time consuming, especially in between working."
Can't wait, Emmett! Thank you for taking so much time to write. We enjoy your posts! :)
We should all THINK before we post. Just sayin'...
God bless!
~Hannah
Welcome back Emmett we all missed you! And I agree with you that it will come after the Battle of Armageddon. I agree with Hannah, some of us should be careful on what is posted, here. Just read the SSPX just condemned Pope Francis on Tuesday for visiting immigrants and refugees on the island of Lampedusa. Oh boy, oh boy, here we go again! Thank you Emmett for your patience and for not censoring. Some of us mean well, and may make mistakes on dates or even doctrine. That doesn't mean we should call their well meaning dialogue, "utter crap." Again, I love this blog, and have learned plenty from you Emmett and many others. Let's continue our dialogue with truth and patience. Much love. God Bless You!!!!
Mark W says,
"Miltonic, you're point is lost in the vitriol. I don't even read past the first sentence. A touch of humility would go a very long way, indeed. It wold get you a lot further than a whip and chair."
Mark W,
Nothing about my post was vitriolic.
What is truly vitriolic is the innuendo that has been peddled here alleging that Sister Lucia, Father Fox, The Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone, the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith Cardinal Ratzinger, and Pope John Paul II were all either liars or forgers as it relates to the 1984 Consecration and the Third Secret.
What is truly vitriolic, Mark W, is for Jamey to have implied that my failure to reply to his sniping "question" concerning the Freemason sodomites that have infiltrated the Catholic Church for the purpose of smearing her and draining her financial resources with the Sex Abuse Scandal, was in some way an approval on my part of that criminal, scandalous behavior.
And no, Jamey, I do not post her under multiple accounts. Once again, you default to diversion and conspiracy when you are unable to counter with facts and the truth.
Milton every topic you have entered into this blog that doesn't agree with your belief system gets attacked and often not on a factual basis. Then there is a stream of users that swarm this board like a plague of locusts when there is a disagreement with your beliefs. In this case there has been a willful twisting of things people have said, constructing straw men etc. I am careful not to calumniate anyone - if you read the journalist Antonio Socci's The Fourth Secret you will see the account of a journalist who laughed at the "Fatimists" but did his own research regarding the 3rd Secret and found an irrefutable amount of contradictions from the Vatican and came to see they (the Fatimists) weren't just crazy conspiracy theorists.
To be honest I am not going to bother replying to your or your cronies posts anymore - I have better things to spend time on. You have a history of not really addressing someones arguments and simply parrot the same points over and over again and ultimately do what you accuse me of! - that is creating diversions. Often you will post days later saying the same thing to make it look like you are still in the game. In fact to highlight your tactics there was the occasion anon11 was owning you regarding the Millenium and you actually went and posted a response to him in a different thread because it was a massacre. All the best and ciao.
Emmett, good to see you back here.

"
That clearly wasn't the purpose of his post, it was to show there is a time to listen to the bishop and a time to not do so as he believes with the SSPX case.
Miltonic has every reason to be upset. It's the way Jamey phrased it unfortunately. Also, allegations of JP II "looking the other way" on abuse cases goes beyond decency. Why even mention such vitriol? All of you should be rather shocked as well. It's incredible how some of you are not defending our Popes. Instead you call those who are trying to defend the Church "a plague of locusts?" What is the matter with you? You know very well that the problem between the SSPX and the Catholic Church is not on the abuse scandals, or the Tridentine Mass, but rather a much more serious question, namely the validity of the Church doctrine of Vat II. Giving them the faculty to celebrate the Tridentine Mass is one thing. Recognizing them as "Catholic" in the authentic sense of this term is another. And this is the truth Jamey. I am terribly sorry you feel you need to defend your opinions by attacking those who disagree. Pius XII said, "An therefore if a man refuse to the Church let him be considered - so the Lord commands - as a heathen and a publican." Praying for you Jamey. Please understand those of us against SSPX are not liberal maniacs. We love the Church. And yes we love tradition. And miss the beautiful churches that were built before modernism destroyed them. We all wish those churches would come back. And some are. But we are first loyal to our Pope, to Rome, and to Our Lord. And if we want to really fix what's wrong with the Church, we need to unite as Catholics. God bless you!
Sorry sometimes I write too fast without checking. But I do feel the abuse scandals are very serious. I didn't mean to write it as if I thought they were trivial. We all know that's not the reason why the SSPX turned against our Popes. To say otherwise is not being sincere. It's all about Vatican II and the NO.
I generally don’t read anonymous comments. If you can’t post a name – and any old name will do – then I generally don’t see the point. Even “Miltonic Rhetoric” gives something to reference back to, and I don’t think an identity is compromised by such a name. It does give something to refer back to, so people aren’t left to think that Milt is writing under several names. Keep posting anonymously if you must, but your expectation of a reply could well leave you a mite frustrated.
And since I seem to be getting tossed into a basket that I don't want to be in, let me say...
The SSPX is simply wrong. They have all, to one degree or another, taken an oath of obedience. It really need go no further than that. Consider Chapter 5 of the Rule of St. Benedict on obedience.
http://www.osb.org/rb/text/rbejms3.html
Chapter 5: On Obedience
The first degree of humility is obedience without delay.
This is the virtue of those
who hold nothing dearer to them than Christ;
who, because of the holy service they have professed,
and the fear of hell,
and the glory of life everlasting,
as soon as anything has been ordered by the Superior,
receive it as a divine command
and cannot suffer any delay in executing it.
Of these the Lord says,
"As soon as he heard, he obeyed Me" (Ps. 17[18]:45).
And again to teachers He says,
"He who hears you, hears Me" (Luke 10:16).
Such as these, therefore,
immediately leaving their own affairs
and forsaking their own will,
dropping the work they were engaged on
and leaving it unfinished,
with the ready step of obedience
follow up with their deeds the voice of him who commands.
And so as it were at the same moment
the master's command is given
and the disciple's work is completed,
the two things being speedily accomplished together
in the swiftness of the fear of God
by those who are moved
with the desire of attaining life everlasting.
That desire is their motive for choosing the narrow way,
of which the Lord says,
"Narrow is the way that leads to life" (Matt. 7:14),
so that,
not living according to their own choice
nor obeying their own desires and pleasures
but walking by another's judgment and command,
they dwell in monasteries and desire to have an Abbot over them.
Assuredly such as these are living up to that maxim of the Lord
in which He says,
"I have come not to do My own will,
but the will of Him who sent Me" (John 6:38).
But this very obedience
will be acceptable to God and pleasing to all
only if what is commanded is done
without hesitation, delay, lukewarmness, grumbling, or objection.
For the obedience given to Superiors is given to God,
since He Himself has said,
"He who hears you, hears Me" (Luke 10:16).
And the disciples should offer their obedience with a good will,
for "God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Cor. 9:7).
For if the disciple obeys with an ill will
and murmurs,
not necessarily with his lips but simply in his heart,
then even though he fulfill the command
yet his work will not be acceptable to God,
who sees that his heart is murmuring.
And, far from gaining a reward for such work as this,
he will incur the punishment due to murmurers,
unless he amend and make satisfaction.

"The SSPX is simply wrong."
Mark, there are several factors involved and for the sake of time and brevity I will bring up just one - the difficulty is they were required in 88 negotiations to say a rite (the Novus Ordo Missae of Paul VI) that severely damages Catholic faith. The apostate Thomas Cranmer tried to destroy Catholic faith in England by creating an identical rite to the Novus Ordo several hundred years earlier. Among others the Novus Ordo was concocted by a likely Mason (Paul VI fired him on this grounds in 78) and he was assisted by Protestants who don't actually believe in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass - this is scandal beyond belief but we have lost our sense of scandal as Bishop Sheen once said.
There is great precision in the TLM (and all the ancient liturgies we have in the church) and the signs and symbols communicate something - remove these arbitrarily and there will be confusion as expressed by Cardinal Ottaviani by 1970 - one cannot simply start experimenting with the liturgy. In good conscience this was something they couldnt agree to saying the NO. How God could permit a destructive rite is another issue in itself. I have said it before the SSPX has nutty elements however the official statements of Lefebvre and Fellay I have to agree with from a purely intellectual decision. Given the debacle of the past 50 years who couldn't say they weren't justified in saying the church was in a state of emergency. Also keep in mind there have been saints unjustly excommunicated in the past when it came to theological issues such as St Athanasius and also certain previous church councils that have been declared null and void.

Cheers for the article. Given the comet would explode in the atmosphere it seems unlikely that fire would reach the earth and cause an Akita type catastrophe even though it would cause an electronic meltdown?
http://globalnews.ca/news/722806/coronal-mass-ejection-heading-toward-earth-may-spark-northern-lights/
First off, it is my conviction that Jp2 is in the flames though I can't be positive as I'm not the Cure of Ars or a man holy enough to make that call for sure. Assisi, the topless woman doing the reading at the mass, kissing the koran, it goes on and on. He also did a few good things which I attribute only to the Holy Spirit.
At the start of his pontificate what happened to John I? Well, it seems he was done away with under mysterious circumstances and then voila, here's the flamboyant "jp2" arriving like a global media icon. Anyone recall that picture from a few years ago at the one year anniversary of his passing in Poland where his shape outline was formed in the flames? That's no coincidence. Also, look at how the world "loved" JP2 after his passing, then compare that to Pio No No who was so despised by so many they tried to throw his coffin in the river. Ask yourself who is in the right place today? The man "loved" by the world which incidentally forgot him as if it were nothing until they had to dredge up these "miracles" for his canonization. The truth will come out in the years to follow especially after the current "pope" is gone.
Also, he never made the consecration of Russia and if anyone says that they need to show me exactly when every Bishop in the world simultaneously consecrated Russia with the same prayer. A: It never happened rather jp2 made his pathetic consecration of the world. This is NOT what our Lady specified at Fatima and that is a FACT.
Also, not sure what shenanigans were going on with "sr Lucia". There is a certain Catholic sect which pointed out that the sr Lucia who died a coulple of years ago was a completely different woman than the actual Sr Lucia. This is backed up by photographic evidence. The real Sr. lucia was a peasant girl and had fairly bucked teeth. Then, years later we see the JP2 "Sr. Lucia".. a completely different woman with perfectly aligned teeth. It's pure crap and I don't buy for a minute the weird stuff this imposter did including kissing the hand of JP2 after holy communion, how absurd, a saint would never do this.s
Peterman, you know our Church is universal. It's what Catholicism is all about. I don't want to insult your intelligence, but I think it would be a really good idea if you would study different cultures, and well, maybe travel the world. Papua, New Guinea, which is where the JP II mass was held with the topless native girl is not Ireland. It is a custom for them in Papua to to dress topless, they even host Royalty like this too. For pete's sakes, Peterman, you have no idea what you are talking about. Open your world, get educated, please. There is nothing more insulting than an uneducated Catholic. Pope John Paul II, played the game brilliantly. Don't you understand the Church has been surrounded by a COMMUNIST TAKEOVER!!!!!! John Paul I, made the mistake of announcing what he was going to do, and they may have killed him. Even President Reagan got a bullet in his heart. Well, so did John Paul II. Wake up Peterman, and stop criticizing our Pope's!!!! It's what the freakin Masons and Communist want. You are letting them WIN. The only way we can stamp the filth out of the Church is by uniting ALL CATHOLICS! Division is what Satan wants. You may not agree with the culture of New Guinea, so don't walk around topless. Geesh!
And another thing, who cares about whether Sr Lucia said this or that? Who cares? What difference does it make? Chastisement's are coming and are here already, WE ALL KNOW THAT! So, if the Vatican wanted to hide this from the public, IT AIN'T HIDDEN, IT DIDN'T WORK! WE ALL KNOW THE TRUTH! End the distractions!!!! What is important is we ALL should follow the Magisterium and our Pope! That is the LAW OF GOD. Enough with all this SSPX nonsense.
Miltonic said: ((The following are documented facts:1. Russia was properly Consecrated in 1984.2. Sister Lucia confirmed that Russia was properly Consecrated in 1984.))
Has any pope actually stated that Russia was consecrated? NO. Is that why JPII 2 years participated in Assisi in '86 and pray for peace with all the worlds pagan religions? Because the '84 ceremony didn't work. Yet another consecration of the world, but not
Russia, is performed in a Vatican ceremony. This ceremony is called an
“entrustment.” Although anti-Fatima propagandists say the Consecration
of Russia is impossible, some 1,400 bishops and 76 Cardinals are
gathered in the Vatican on this date and can easily mention Russia during
the “entrustment.” In fact, a number of bishops think this is exactly
what they are going to do. The text of the entrustment is not made
public until October 7, the day before the ceremony. The text makes
no mention of Russia, but does mention an “entrustment” of the world,
“the unemployed,” “youth in search of meaning” and other objects of
“entrustment”—anything and anybody but Russia.
Wouldn't that suggest the pope didn't know the consecration occurred?
Forgot: the entrustment ceremony took place in Oct. 2000.
Did we not witness the fall of the Berlin wall???? Do you know what the end of communism meant to those countries in Eastern Europe? Have any of you ever lived through communism? My parent's have. It is a living hell. Do any of you realize what Pope John Paul II, Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher did for freedom? How petty can you be? We shouldn't care about an imperfect consecration. Whatever Pope John Paul II did, IT WORKED!!!! So, instead of criticizing, we should be celebrating.
Hello Emmett,
I'm not really following the other discussions going on here, but this is a question that just occurred to me.
We're reading from Exodus now at daily Mass, and it just hit me that the ninth plague was three days of darkness! What significance, if any, do you think this might have in terms of Catholic prophecy concerning that event?
I know you're busy so if you can't answer now, that's fine.
Miltonic,
You keep drawing out the same arguments again and again and presenting them as infallible truths, when the reality is they are not.
"The following are documented facts:"
Calling something a fact does not make it a fact.
"Russia was properly Consecrated in 1984." Depends upon who you ask-- including Sister Lucia.
"Sister Lucia confirmed that Russia was properly Consecrated in 1984."
Sister Lucia said contradictory things AFTER 1984 about the validity of the consecration.
"A "period of peace" was promised at Fatima. The term "period of peace" is not a mistranslation nor does it refer to the Second Coming."
No one ever said it was a mistranslation. The argument was about interpreting Revelation in a wooden literal sense. Every instance in which God discusses eternity or the Kingdom of God in Scripture, He does so using temporal terms. Refer to Isaiah 11 and Isaiah 65:17-25, which specifically discusses the restoration of Heaven and Earth and Christ's Second Coming-- it uses a ton of temporal language. Christ ALWAYS used temporal language when discussing the Kingdom of God and Heaven. Numerous infallible documents, such as Vatican II's Dei Verbum, have stated that a literal interpretation of Public Revelation is not always accurate. This is even more true for Private Revelation.
Likewise, you never engaged my argument regarding the Vatican employing mental reservation on this issue, which JPII alluded to when he stated: "On the other hand, it should be sufficient for all Christians to know this: if there is a message in which it is written that the oceans will flood whole areas of the earth, and that from one moment to the next millions of people will perish, truly the publication of such a message is no longer something to be so much desired."
So to simply conclude that not accepting Fr Iannuzzi logically means that we must assume the Pope's are all lying simply isn't true. The Pope's could have been holding mental reservation, and JPII said as much himself.
"Our Lady of All Nations is an approved apparition. It was approved in 2002. Until the Vatican overrules the 2002 decision by the local bishop, the local bishop's decision will stand."
Wrong. I linked to the official Vatican site regarding Our Lady of All Nations, which clearly stated that it is not an approved apparition. Fr Iannuzzi doesn't trump
"Now, if you are going to contest any of the above facts (which I have thoroughly documented here on this thread) then you do so with your own documents and facts, not the conspiracy theories and slander of Bob Sungenis and Father Gruner."
I've used the Vatican's own official documents. You keep referring to Fr Iannuzzi and his "documented facts," as if his interpretation of "facts" is the ultimate trump card. It's not.
Hi - I believe that what Is approved about Our Lady of All Nations is only the painting of Our Lady, on the globe, with the Cross behind her. Not the writings.
Hi Sr. Lorraine,
The link of the Three Days of Darkness with the Book of Exodus is interesting, especially since the plague of darkness was most likely caused by the eruption of the volcano at Thera. I covered this topic at the below post:
http://unveilingtheapocalypse.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/santorini-eruption-and-apocalyptic.html
Consolata,
The CDF statement is quite broad. The local bishop in 1956 said that there was nothing supernatural about Our Lady of All Nations. This was repeated in 1957, and acknowledge by the CDF. The decision was appealed in 1972 and the CDF came to the same conclusion. The final word was given in Rome in 1974 and ends with:
"At the present time, following on further developments and after a fresh and deeper examination of the case, the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith confirms by the present notification the judgment already expressed by the competent ecclesiastical authority, and invites priests and laity to discontinue all forms of propaganda with regard to the alleged apparitions and revelations of 'Our Lady of All Nations'."
It's pretty much sealed shut.

Ja wiem. Moya zona jest Polka.
My in-laws are still in Poland. They know a thing or two about communism that you and I can never really understand. The simple fact is that soviet communism fell in 1989, but communism is still well in place over a great part of the world - including Russia. If you doubt that, consider that Russia is currently lead by a former KGB lieutenant colonel. And this doesn't even touch China. Soviet-style communism simply morphed into something slightly different in Russia, Ukrain and Byelorussia.
You claim that some here are being petty, yet your position is quite naive.
And yes, I do recall the fall of the Berlin Wall. I have an 18x6 inch piece of it in my den.
KGB defector Anatoliy Golitsyn has made the supposed “collapse” of the Soviet Union the subject of his 1986 book, The Perestroika Deception, which outlines the staged fall of the Soviet Union. Golitsyn writes that there is a devious secret intent behind the Leninist strategy which the "former" Communists are pursuing under cover of fake "reform" and "progress towards democracy." The immediate strategic objective is "convergence" with the West -— on their terms, not ours.
http://www.thenewamerican.com/world-news/europe/item/8703-former-soviet-boss-gorbachev-says-putin-is-more-communist-than-he-was
http://defeatcommunism.com/profiles/blogs/the-perestroika-deception
In his book, Perestroika: New Thinking for Our Country and the World, Gorbachev said outright, "Perestroika is closely connected with socialism as a system."[7] Answering those asking, "Are we giving up socialism?", Gorbachev replied, "Every part of our program of perestroika... is fully based on the principles of more socialism..."[8] Gorbachev has even been as blunt as calling perestroika a "continuation of the October Revolution."
Oh Mark, than you know. My grandfather was a tortured political prisoner for over 20 years in a communist nation. We know the pain. And as for Russia, well, you are right about Putin being in the KGB. It wasn't Reagan's vision to continue with the same rogue element of officials after the Berlin wall fell. But if you could remember it was CIA George H.W. Bush that put Yeltsin in charge, which in essence gave precedence to the same people, who were just shuffled into different positions. I hear ya. Even though the fall did not give us exactly what we wanted which was total justice, we have seen change for the better. The corruption in Russia is rampant and there is a power play of course, but Russia and Eastern Europe is not as isolated or as dismal as it was during the Cold war. And I truly have hope. I watched a video about 2 years ago of a Russian soccer game. And the entire stadium of people of both teams praised Jesus Christ. I was floored. Putin knows to strengthen Christianity in Russia is the only way the radical Muslims stay controlled. It is only when we lose our culture that the radicals, be it Islamists or secular communists take over. So, although, we may not agree totally with Putin, I think we have a bigger problem today with Obama. Unless, the west goes back to Christianity, we are doomed. Thank you Mark and God bless you and your family. Wow, you're Polish! Yes!!!
There's a simple solution to all of this.
Consecrate Russia.
If the Pope consecrated Russia, what have we got to lose? It would change the world.
Just sayin'.
God bless!
~Hannah
Hannah, you are right about consecrating Russia. Although, there have been plenty of world consecrations already by many popes. But imagine the situation we've been in for over 70 years. The Masonic/Communist infiltration has been rampant inside our own Church for quite some time, let alone the world. So how can we fight this and win? Fr Gobbi was right when he said, "the act of consecration to the Immaculate Heart must always be renewed." In other words, the Triumph will not come suddenly it is a concerted effort among all of us. There are 3 elements of a good consecration that has not been done, because of our own Church divisions, let alone the world division through sin. "The first element is the commitment to live our baptism. The second element is through prayer. And the third element is TO BE UNITED TO THE POPE AND TO THE BISHOPS AND PRIESTS WHO ARE UNITED TO THE POPE, IN ORDER TO REMAIN ALWAYS IN THE TRUE FAITH." Hannah, how many in our own Catholic Church form division against our Popes? During JP II's papacy, unfortunately, some Bishops were not in tune during the consecration. Like I have said before, unless ALL CATHOLICS unite with the Pope, we will never see a consecration to Russia work for the peace of this world. And that is where the truth lies. Concentrating on conspiracy theories about Sr Lucia is a distraction to where the true problem lies. The real problem is DISOBEDIENCE. Once our own Catholic Church unites, we will see all Christian Churches unite too. And that is what the Triumph is all about.
Mariana,
It's my wife that's Polish. I'm about as American as you can get (the first of my family members got here in 1640).
Bad news for you Emmett. The real scientists say that it would take 10,000 years for the canary island to slip into the sea. The problem is that you built your entire premise on this angle, that if it collapses (no pun intended), most of the rest of your theories can not stand either. It is just like Ronald Conte who has to keep changing his timeline when he is wrong (but still hopes people will continue to buy his book). Here is the link to the article. God Bless you anyway.
http://www.lapalma-tsunami.com/
Golitsyn is an odd figure. He really was never in a position to know all the things he claimed. Well, he might have been, but he'd give Edward Snowden a run for his money in looking at files he wasn't supposed to look at. Someone claims that 140 of his 165 predictions (don't recall the exact numbers) have come true. I don't know if that's actually true. His predictions are somewhat broad, but his comments are uncanny.
Well, that is interesting Mark, most of my family too has been here in the U.S. actually since the 1560's. Half a century before the settlement of Jamestown and just about a century before Plymouth Rock. And I totally agree with you on Golitsyn. I believe him when he said W. Averll Harriman was a soviet spy during WWII. Later, Harriman was appointed by Pres Johnson as ambassador of Southeast Asian affairs and we know how that turned out for the communists. It's a complicated issue. And it's still not clear who to trust. And yes, imploding the U.S. by endless wars, big government corruption, and injecting the race card may very well be a communist plot. Who knows? What we really know is that our beloved President Kennedy was assasinated. And I believe those who killed him are still trying to hold on to power. How do we fight them? By following our Constitution and setting up common sense rules against laws that harm our moral stability. We need to go back and study how our Founders tried to protect religion in America. Because ever since Everson vs Board of Education of 1947, our nations Christian values and wisdom are not welcomed. We are hurting and we are today a divided nation. If this is the plan, than we must unite against it through prayer and obedience to God.
Reagan had calculated correctly what was going to happen to the Soviet Union. Our CIA was not in accordance with Reagan, and they proved to be wrong. The CIA and Bush/Cheney/McCain/Obama are wrong again. Going back to a Cold war today against Russia in my opinion is a terrible mistake. And what the powers of be want is exactly that. World chaos. We are heading more towards authoritarian socialism and a complete collapse of our economy. We should have listened to Ron Paul and Pope John Paul II, when they went against the middle east wars. War just brings more poverty and more misery.
Marianna - Did your family come over in St. Augustine? That was 1565, I think, and I don't think there were any successful colonies before that. Maybe something in French Canada.
Yes, Mark they did. St. Augustine is a rich with history. It's a beautiful little town.
Wait a minute! St. Augustine was founded by the Polish!? : )
Ha! Tom they very well may have. Unfortunately, we are not really taught the truth in American history about the Spanish connections. This type of anomaly in perceptions of history is called the "Black Legend of Oblivion." The first Thanksgiving was actually held in St. Augustine. And the first Christian Church was opened there. The first parish, cathedral, Christmas, Christian family, and baptism in the U.S. was in fact not Polish (he,he,he,) but Spanish.
"Like I have said before, unless ALL CATHOLICS unite with the Pope, we will never see a consecration to Russia work for the peace of this world. And that is where the truth lies. Concentrating on conspiracy theories about Sr Lucia is a distraction to where the true problem lies. The real problem is DISOBEDIENCE."
Mariana, I agree in a sense that overly concentrating on the conspiracy theories of Sr Lucia is a distraction. Being aware and educated on issues surrounding major inconsistencies surrounding the Consecration/Third Secret is important and another matter, getting the right balance of being educated on the facts/engaging in prayer and sacrifice is the key. Sr Lucia herself believed that First Saturday devotions must reach a certain level before the consecration done. Maybe a difficult/dire world situation will see more people begin to perform First Saturday devotions triggering the consecration.
Anon,
I have read all the arguments against the possibility of the Western flank of Cumbre Vieja slipping into the sea during its next eruption. There are always competing theories. The website you mention is not one of the credible ones however - it is being circulated by someone affiliated with the La Palma tourist board, (meaning that he has vested interests) and admits himself that he is not a "real scientist" - in his own words:
"The author of this website is not a scientist. He studied sciences at school and geology at college. He worked for 4 years in hydro-geology.
He lives and works on the island of La Palma and has minor interests in the promotion of tourism on La Palma. He is sick and tired of people telling him that La Palma is a dangerous place to live."
http://www.lapalma-tsunami.com/about.html
The truth is, it depends on the explosivity of the eruption. If there is a major eruption, such as at Thera, Santorini (which this passage of Revelation is modeled after), then the results could be even more disasterous...
Mariana,
Which Lucy conspiracy theories are you referring to? I'm asking because I don't get the sense that is a big issue.
Emmett,
I remember being in a bible study where the deacon said that before the birth of Christ there was an expectancy with even the Pagans for a Savior to come on the scene. That's one of the reason why the Magi were watching the skies.I also remember hearing one of the Rwandian visionaries Ernest, one not officially accepted, reminding us that the anti-christ would be accepted by the Jews as the Messiah ,the Musluims as the Mahadi the Christians as Christ ect...
Have you read anything about wether the Jews or Muslims believe in the two witness? If the Jews believe their Messiah will be a suffering one and a militant one could this be their version of a two witness, but a false one to us? I also read but don't know if it's true that the Muslims believe that Mohammed will appear with Jesus thus their version of the 2 witnesses.
Also did you or anyone else know that approx. 10-13 years ago the Sanhedrian was reestablished? I think the man who currently heads the Sanhedrian was recently in talks with Turkey and it was stated there was some type of alliance being made, thus paving the way for both religions to accept a savior. Do you know if this is true?
Sorry if this is a major tangent but I thought it was interesting the similarities of the expectancy of the "two witnesses" if it's true.
God bless you,
J
Emmett,
Just curious, but could this actually be a chastisement akin to the Flood? We get so focused on the end of the world (or a coming era of peace, depending upon your point of view), that we seem to forget the third propsect, that of history continuing.
Is there any support for such as this? Anything to refute it?
Thanks,
Mark
That is something I regularly consider Mark, especially most approved apparitions or major visionaries seem to indicate that there will be renewal in the Church after chastisements, and an era of peace which may or may not preceed the Second Coming. I personally have several alternative scenarios as I simply don't have certitude in one particular overall outcome. I do have high level of certitude certain things will happen, ie continued high level of flooding, earthquakes and then the Great Chastisement. But what order will the Second Pentecost, or the Second Coming occur or when the Antichrist will come into the scene is more confusing and less certain. As documented in Stephen Walford's book the past 150 years of papal pronouncements have indicated the Second Coming isn't far away.
Ireland is to be consecrated by the Bishops to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!
http://www.irishcatholic.ie/20130725/news/bishops-to-lead-marian-consecration-of-ireland-S35720.html
Huge news. Interesting time...very interesting times...
God bless!

J,
Muslims believe that Jesus (Isa) will return to earth towards the end of the world to slay the Al-Masih ad-Dajjal (the "false messiah"). Islamic eschatology teaches that working together with the Mahdi, Jesus will return to restore justice before the end of the world. So in a way, this is the Islamic version of the "Two Witnesses" - since Muslims teach that Jesus was a mere prophet, lower in importance to Muhammad. Muslims also believe that Christians tampered with the New Testament, so they don't pay much attention to the Book of Revelation.
Mark,
Several biblical passages make it clear that humanity will come to a complete end before the General Resurrection of the dead and the creation of the new heaven and the new earth:
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
(2Pet 3:10-13)
“I will utterly sweep away everything from the face of the earth,” declares the LORD.
“I will sweep away man and beast; I will sweep away the birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea, and the rubble with the wicked. I will cut off mankind from the face of the earth,” declares the LORD.
(Zeph 1:2-3)
i looked on the earth, and behold, it was without form and void; and to the heavens, and they had no light. I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking, and all the hills moved to and fro. I looked, and behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the air had fled. I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a desert, and all its cities were laid in ruins before the Lord, before his fierce anger. (Jer 4:23-26)
This is the great eschatological harvest that will take place at the Second Coming of Christ:
"Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped.
Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia.
(Rev 14:14-20)
Humanity must come to a complete end before the general resurrection of the dead and the creation of the new heaven and the new earth. As the Catechism teaches, the Church must follow the Passion of the Lord in His crucifixion before the Resurrection can take place (CCC 677).
KP says:
"Sister Lucia said contradictory things AFTER 1984 about the validity of the consecration."
What are these contradictory things that you are alleging Sister Lucia said after 1984 about the validity of the Consecration? Not once have you documented these alleged sayings of Sister Lucia. In contrast, I have documented with signed documents from Sister Lucia (http://www.ewtn.com/expert/expertfaqframe.asp) and from the Secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith Archbishop Tarcisio Bertone (http://www.ewtn.com/expert/expertfaqframe.asp) that the 1984 Consecration was valid and complete. You counter my documented assertions with nothing but innuendo and the implication that Father Fox, Sister Lucia, Archbishop Bertone, Cardinal Ratzhinger and EWTN are all either lying, forging documents, or are involved in a massive conspiracy. But you have yet to produce one signed document from anyone backing up your slanderous conspiracy theory. Still waiting for you to document your assertions here, KP. Linky or Stinky.
Then KP says:
"No one ever said it was a mistranslation.
Likewise, you never engaged my argument regarding the Vatican employing mental reservation on this issue, which JPII alluded to when he stated: 'On the other hand, it should be sufficient for all Christians to know this: if there is a message in which it is written that the oceans will flood whole areas of the earth, and that from one moment to the next millions of people will perish, truly the publication of such a message is no longer something to be so much desired.'
So to simply conclude that not accepting Fr Iannuzzi logically means that we must assume the Pope's are all lying simply isn't true. The Pope's could have been holding mental reservation, and JPII said as much himself."
I am not sure what point you are trying to make here, KP. You obviously believe that the "period of peace" spoken of at Fatima is not really a "period" but rather the Second Coming, which initiates the End of History and the beginning of Eternity. You also believe that Amillenialism is THE final, definitive interpretation of the Millennium when the fact of the matter is that the Church has not yet defined the the final, definitive interpretation of the Millennium - a point that Father Iannuzzi documents in his book, citing an interview with Cardinal Ratzinger from the early 1990s.
We will just have to agree to disagree. Nowhere have I stated that my views or Father Iannuzzi's view are infallible. I am willing to be proven wrong, but please don't act like it is heresy to dare disagree with your interpretation of the Millennium or your conspiracy theories involving the 1984 Consecration and the Third Secret.
Regarding Our Lady of All Nations, KP says:
"Wrong. I linked to the official Vatican site regarding Our Lady of All Nations, which clearly stated that it is not an approved apparition. Fr Iannuzzi doesn't trump"
KP,
Father Iannuzzi has nothing to do with Our Lady of All Nations being approved or disapproved. Quit diverting.
The first authority responsible for ruling on the supernatural veracity of an alleged apparition is the local bishop. The 1974 document on the Vatican's website that you reference simply affirmed the previous negative decisions by "the competent ecclesiastical authority" (the local Bishop) in 1956 and 1957. The 1974 Vatican statement does not deal with Bishop Punt's 2002 ruling that determined Our Lady of All Nations to be of supernatural origin. The Vatican has said nothing regarding Bishop Punt's 2002 ruling. Since the Local Ordinary is the first authority on an alleged apparition, and since the Vatican has neither confirmed nor overturned Bishop Punt's ruling, the 2002 ruling must take precedence.
KP, here is the full text of Bishop Punt's 2002 decision on Our Lady of All Nations:
"In Response to Inquiries Concerning the Lady of All Nations Apparitions As Bishop of Haarlem/Amsterdam, I have been requested to make a statement regarding the authenticity of
the apparitions of Mary as the Lady of All Nations in Amsterdam during the years of 1945 -1959. Many
members of the faithful and bishops have emphasized the urgency for clarification. I also have been
personally aware that this development of devotion, which has spanned over 50 years, call for this.
As it is known, my predecessor, Msgr. H. Bomers and myself had previously given permission for publicveneration in 1996. As to the supernatural character of the apparitions and contents of the messages, wedid not give our judgment, but declared that "everyone is free to make a judgment for himself or herself
according to their conscience." Having had a generally positive attitude towards authenticity, we decided to await further development and to "discern the spirit" further (cf. 1 Thes 5:19-21).
Over the period of six subsequent years, I observed that the devotion had taken its place in the spiritual life of millions all over the world, and that it possesses the support of many bishops. Many experiences of conversion and reconciliation, as well as healings and special protection also have been reported to me. In full recognition of the responsibility of the Holy See, it is primarily the task of the local bishop to speak out in conscience regarding the authenticity of private revelations that take place or have taken place within his diocese.
Therefore I have asked once again for the advice of theologians and psychologists concerning outcomes of previous investigations, and the questions and objections deriving from them. Their recommendations state that no theological or psychological impediments for a declaration of supernatural authenticity can be found therein. I have also requested the judgment of a number of brother bishops concerning the fruits and
development of the devotion, who within their own dioceses have experienced a strong devotion of Mary as the Mother and Lady of All Nations. In light and virtue of all these recommendations, testimonies, and developments, and in pondering all this in prayer and theological reflection, I have come to the conclusion that the apparitions of the Lady of All Nations in Amsterdam consist of a supernatural origin.
Naturally, the influence of the human element still exists. Authentic images and visions are always transmitted to us, in the words of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation of the Doctrine of Faith, "through the filter of our senses, which carry out a work of translation..." and "...are influenced by the potentialities and limitations of the perceiving subject" (Cardinal Ratzinger, Theological Commentary
In Preparation for the Release of the Third Part of the Secret of Fatima, L 'Osservatore Romano, June 28,2000).
Unlike Holy Scripture, private revelations are never binding upon the conscience of the faithful. They are a help in understanding the signs of the times and to help live more fully the Gospel (cf. Lk 12:56, Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 67). And the signs of our times are dramatic. The devotion to the Lady of All Nations can help us, in my sincere conviction, in guiding us on the right path during the present serious drama of our times, the path to a new and special outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Who alone can heal the great wounds of our times. To follow the further development of this devotion and to come to an even deeper insight into its meaning, I have installed a commission whose task it will be to continue to document all initiatives, experiences, and
testimonies stemming from the devotion in order to help insure and preserve a correct ecclesial and theological progress of devotion.
I hope this has provided sufficient information and clarification.
Bishop Josef Marianus Punt"
Thank you Miltonic for your faith and your correct assessment on Our Lady of All Nations. I have an aunt who has been devoted to this Virgin, and lives in Amsterdam. Our Blessed Mother is appearing all over the world for reasons we all know. She is begging us to live a more Christ like life. I believe that as long as apparitions do not speak against the Church and its doctrines, we should keep an open mind. So many priests and nuns today have joined the Church through so many apparitions like those of Our Lady of All Nations. Is that not what we as Catholics want? I say embrace the messages of peace and love. We so need it today.
Emmett,
Thank you for answering my question. Who do the Muslims think is the false prophet? Will this be one of our two witnesses?
J
Emmett,
I saw some interesting news that you might be interested in. You're discussing that Pope Francis may be the Good Shepherd who is assassinated in Jerusalem?
Pope Francis is thinking of visiting the Holy Land next year.
"Pope Francis may visit the Holy Land in 2014". . .
(Then the Bishop of Jerusalem said) "I hope he will come, I feel sure he will come. Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople invited him to Jerusalem for January 2014 to celebrate the anniversary of the historic meeting of Patriarch Athenagoras with Paul VI in the Holy City in 1964. Francis said he would come to the Holy Land, but didn’t say when."
http://vaticaninsider.lastampa.it/en/inquiries-and-interviews/detail/articolo/gmg-26798/
Maybe he won't visit next year. But it's at least on his mind that he wants to visit sometime.
According to Locutions.org, Father Esseff as a spiritual director to someone who is receiving locutions interpreted one of the messages, and supposedly it is this Pope who will be martyred in Jerusalem. Who knows if this happens? But the messages are interesting and not at all against Church doctrine, so far.
Pope Francis said: "Times have changed and the Church faces many problems,.. I think the time for mercy has come as John Paul II predicted by introducing the Feast of Divine Mercy. Divorced people can take communion, it is those who have divorced and remarried that cannot. Here I must add that the orthodox follow the theology of economics and allow second marriages. When the commission of eight cardinals meets at the beginning of October we will discuss how to proceed. The Church is taking a very close look at pastoral initiatives for marriage. My predecessor in Buenos Aires, Cardinal Quarracino always used to say: “I consider half of today’s marriages to be invalid because people get married without realising it means forever. They do it out of social convenience, etc...” The issue of invalidity needs to be looked into as well.”
If they are genuinely looking at allowing people married a second time to receive communion then we should start to look at some of the antipope prophecies.
...................................
Re the consecration of Russia, some will find the following video by John Salza of interest:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXj-atEETUY
Salza puts an interesting context of the St Leo vision and the 75-100 years and also the attack on the Church during "numerous pontificates".
Another warning? Akita may not be far away ladies and gents.

Wait a minute, Jamey. Are you implying that Pope Francis could be an Antipope if this happens? I don't think he's going to allow drastic changes like that. That would be allowing adulterers to receive the Holy Eucharist. That can't happen...
Speaking of which, there is an interesting prophecy floating around the internet that is attributed to St. Francis of Assisi (of all people. Wow.)
Do you or Emmett know if this is legitimate? And if so, who is this destroyer Pope? How are we supposed to know we have an antipope anyway? I don't know much about antipopes other than what the Sedavacantists say. I've never really thought of looking into it. Anyway, can you elaborate? I love Pope Francis and trust that He is the Pope. Still, there is something very eerie and strange that we have two living Popes right now...
"Act bravely, my Brethren; take courage, and trust in the Lord. The time is fast approaching in which there will be great trials and afflictions; perplexities and dissensions, both spiritual and temporal, will abound; the charity of many will grow cold, and the malice of the wicked will increase.
Then scandals will be multiplied, our Order will be divided, and many others will be entirely destroyed, because they will consent to error instead of opposing it.
There will be such diversity of opinions and schisms among the people, the religious and the clergy, that, except those days were shortened, according to the words of the Gospel, even the elect would be led into error, were they not specially guided, amid such great confusion, by the immense mercy of God.
St Francis gave a prophecy concerning his Order shortly before his death
Those who preserve their fervour and adhere to virtue with love and zeal for the truth, will suffer injuries and, persecutions as rebels and schismatics; for their persecutors, urged on by the evil spirits, will say they are rendering a great service to God by destroying such pestilent men from the face of the earth. but the Lord will be the refuge of the afflicted, and will save all who trust in Him. And in order to be like their Head, [Christ] these, the elect, will act with confidence, and by their death will purchase for themselves eternal life; choosing to obey God rather than man, they will fear nothing, and they will prefer to perish rather than consent to falsehood and perfidy
Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer."
Thanks. God bless, Jamey.

"Wait a minute, Jamey. Are you implying that Pope Francis could be an Antipope if this happens?"
Hi Hannah, I would seriously look at it if enforced - perhaps this would see bishop against bishop, priest against priest in a more concrete example. In any case I can't see any rejuvenation in this pontificate after the past week - the nice persona has to be dropped.
"Bishop against Bishop and priest against priest," has been happening since the SSPX schism. The St Francis of Assisi prediction has happened and has continued. This is old news. And as for Pope Francis being an Anti-pope, Ha! You gotta be kidding.
anon coward, so if a "pope" legalises communion to adulterers it is a joke to consider if he is the antipope?
And see the above post, I said "if", and he has raised the issue in a very concerning manner.

Anon,
I think you are giving the SSPX too much credit here. Jamey is right to sound the alarm about this pope's comments about adulterers receiving communion. If he actually goes through with that or allows bishop synods to legislate such a thing then he would be a wolf in sheep's clothing for sure.
Carol
Get real, Pope Francis is bringing life back into the Church and all some of you can do is criticize, misinterpret and predict the worst. Why don't you mess your lives a bit, have a spaghetti dinner with some wine, family and friends and sing Thats Amore! Enjoy life....and stop with your doom and gloom. Life's too short.
"In any case I can't see any rejuvenation in this pontificate after the past week - the nice persona has to be dropped."
Back up, Jamey. He personally inspires me in some ways, though. I really do think he will do great things for the Church. I pray this is so. Am I being deceived in loving the Vicar of Christ? I trust that He is the Pope, that the Cardinals made the right choice, etc. This was my first time seeing the election of a Pope as a Catholic btw.
The Pope is only infallible when speaking on Faith and Morals. So in this case, Communion to adulterers is classified under morals, is it not? That would be infallble. He couldn't do it could he?????
I just don't see him being an antipope. It even seems absurd. For the sake of the arguement, say he does allow all this (which I highly doubt), then where's the true Pope? Benedict? He left of his own free will, did he not? Is he a prisoner in the Vatican or something?
You're confusing me here, Jamey. What makes a Pope an antipope? I'm not too skilled in this so I don't know...
Anonymous said: "Enjoy life....and stop with your doom and gloom. Life's too short."
We have to worry about our eternal salvation too. Life isn't all about fun and games I'm afraid (although that is all good, in moderation). Souls are in the balance. Will you be one of the few?
God bless!

Jamey:
I share your concern and misgivings about Pope Francis' words and actions. Since his election, I have directing more time each day in prayer, personal reflection and attempts to live my faith, each day.
I'm a US citizen and so have to fight despair after turning back to my faith and the EF of the Mass after the election and reelection of 0bama's evil regime. I now feel that the rug has been pulled out from under me (and others who prefer a more traditional, vertical directed liturgy) by the Holy Father's seeming course of focus on the NO "the poor" and his many off-the-cuff remarks.
Sherry
"I now feel that the rug has been pulled out from under me (and others who prefer a more traditional, vertical directed liturgy) by the Holy Father's seeming course of focus on the NO "the poor" and his many off-the-cuff remarks."
As for the liturgy, I share your concerns. I have no problem with the Novus Ordo done reverently, preferably ad orientem (which I've never seen in my Diocese).
I know I'm getting off topic here, but liturgy and tradition is an important topic for me.
Everyone, please understand that beauty is an important part of the Liturgy. So is the architecture of the Church. There are despicable buildings in my Diocese that are not fit for anything much less a Catholic Church and there are many beautiful ones. We should be able to feel like we're in the House of God. We should be able to lift our minds and hearts to God. I look around today and ask why? Who's absurd idea was it to get rid of everything great. We've lost our Catholic identity and we have to regain it.
Here's what now Bishop Benedict once said as Pope in his Apostolic Exhortation Sacramentum Caritatis :
"Beauty, then, is no mere decoration, but rather an essential element of the liturgical action, since it is an attribute of God himself and his revelation. These considerations should make us realize the care which is needed, if the liturgical action is to reflect its innate splendor."
The traditional way of doing things is gaining momentum with the young people. It really makes me happy, being a young person myself. I want to worship as we once worshiped. That's all. Yet you get judged and condemned for it. Is there seriously something wrong with being fully and authentically Catholic in every way (big T tradition and small t tradition)? Uh no there isn't. This is how our forefathers worshiped and believed. I choose to worship like them. I'm blessed to have a great parish in my Diocese. It's the most traditional parish in the Diocese (we aren't FSSP or anything like that). I'm able to go to the Traditional Latin Mass every sunday. I sing Gregorian chant in the choir. I choose to veil and dress modestly. I just want beauty. I long for the day when we get back to the way we once were. It will happen. My parish is all about reverence, beauty and teaching all the truths of the Catholic Faith. This is where I was baptized and I was blessed to have excellent teachers in RCIA. We have the Latin Mass (every sunday) and the Novus Ordo. The Novus Ordo is done reverently, thank God. We have an altar rail. We kneel for Communion at both Masses. Most people receive on the tongue. We don't have armies of lay people distributing Christ. We don't have "altar girls" or any of that. We just worship as we once worshiped. I love being Catholic. The Church is the most important part of my life.
Anyway, I love to share with anyone I can that the Liturgy is important! Beauty is important!
Pray that Modernism in defeated in the Holy Catholic Church. St. Pope Pius X, ora pro nobis.
(Sorry for getting off topic. I knoW you guys can't stand me! LOL!)
God bless!

An antipope would be someone who is invalidly elected. There is no evidence at the moment that this is true for Pope Francis, although it is possible in the future something could come out. If Pope Francis were to teach or allow for such a thing as second marriage like the Orthodox, then he could be anathemetized posthumously just as Pope Honorious was:
More than forty years after his death, Honorius was anathematized by name along with the Monothelites by the Third Council of Constantinople (First Trullan) in 680. The anathema read, after mentioning the chief Monothelites, "and with them Honorius, who was Prelate of Rome, as having followed them in all things".
Carol
A validly elected pope cannot be the anti-pope of certain prophecies, since the charasm of St. Peter protects the pope from erring on faith and morals when speaking ex cathedra. There is no doubt that Pope Francis was validly elected, since there was no dispute or rival claims to the pontificate once the conclave was over. If there is an anti-pope, then there is also always a legitimately elected pope at the same time.
Besides, the Angelic Pope must come before the appearance of the Antichrist, who will most likely be ultimately responsible for installing any false rival claims to the pontificate.
Pope Francis wasn't suggesting that divorced and remarried people could take communion, but rather that a great number of marriages that take place now are invalid as a result of poor catechisis - which is quite correct. There are numerous points that makes a marriage invalid in the eyes of the Church. For example if a couple enter a marriage, but aren't planning to have any children, this would automatically invalidate a marriage - which has become commonplace the age of contraception. If anything, he is suggesting that the invalidation process should be less stringent to make it easier for some people to come back to the Church, and to emphasise essential points about what a valid sacrament of matrimony actually involves.
Hi Emmett,
I couldnt agree more with your post.
This is what Pope Francis is about-and of course we should remember this was a great concern for Pope Benedict XVI also.
By the way, did everyone notice one of the last things Pope Francis said at WYD in Rio was prophecying the great springtime in union with John Paul II and Benedict XVI. I firmly believe the Holy Spirit is guiding events through this pontificate. There is also a Mass on October 13 in St Peter's presided over by the Pope with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima present to conclude a Marian weekend for the Year of Faith.
Stephen
Thanks, Emmett. You're always very informative and loads of help.
God bless!
~Hannah
Emmett,
I agree we must assume Francis is pope for the time being. I also agree that a large percentage of marriages nowadays are invalid due to reasons you site and I digress from other trads on that issue based on my limited understanding of the situation.
If he was quoted correctly he was speaking about 2 seperate issues first the orthodox theology of economy where people married a second time can have communion (and that the Church would be looking at initiatives) and then later mentions the invalidity issue and hence it needs to be looked at "as well". This "as well" seems to me he is talking about two separate issues. In any case why even mention the orthodox theology of economics in this case which effectively promotes adultery in such situations? It just throws out confusion in any case.
These are "dangerous times". The "temporal church" has become a false church imbued in darkness, I don't necessarily see an angelic pope coming into the current setup but it is fertile ground for something painful. I think we will have the pope who will rule with the rod of iron after the Great Chastisement. I suppose we do disagree on some sequences Emmett and you probably think I am a nut at times, quite a few people who know me do!
I think Akita will happen and then humanity (what is remaining) will be given a new dawn and the Church will return to her traditions (Quito). There will be a period of peace, how long I don't know.
Does the antipope have to be someone uncanonical but just a demolition of the papacy and church? We have already seen how popes can demolish the church as Paul VI's reign which was unprecedented in history. In fact that is why some think it took Lucia so long to write the Third Secret as there was no precedent in history to what happened in the sixties onward.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=riqIBD3DJOo
In any case if we see the Church enter something like the World Council of Churches know there is great peril ahead.
Jamey, don't you see that there is hope. Do you know how lucky we are to have Pope Francis? Did you not see the 3.2 million people in Copacabana? Even the Al-Jazeera journalist wrote that it was the most amazing thing she had ever experienced. Did you see the little boy who climbed up the Pope mobile, and hugged Francis and told him he wanted to be a priest. It was the most touching video I have ever seen. There is hope Jamey. And Pope Francis is confident enough to know it. Study a little more of what happened during the Dirty War in Argentina with the SSPX and Videla. Pope Francis begged priests to baptize unwed mothers in those days. The Anti-semitism of the SSPX back then was rampant. Why do you think so many ran to the communist party? Radicals always take advantage of those unsatisfied with the status quo. The world no longer looks like you Jamey. The world looks like Brazil. The Jamey's of the world are not having enough children today. Why do you think the Pope wants the Church to get closer to the people? Because Jamey, Catholics are losing ground. And unless there is some sort of a revival, the communist party in Brazil and elsewhere will get stronger. The little poor boy who climbed up the Pope mobile and hugged our Pope means there is still hope. Chastisements have always been around. Life is always messy and uncertain. What we have to keep us grounded is our faith. So, just say the Rosary, go to Mass and Confession and help those who are less fortunate than you. You will begin to see life in a different way. The mess won't matter, you will laugh at it. And laughter, instead of paranoia is so much more healthier.
*unwed mothers children
Mariana I dont doubt there are some elements of the SSPX that are haywire. However sometimes anti-Semite label gets thrown out too easily and needs to be evaluated on a case by case basis. Much of the revolution in the church in the 60s was because of the Jews. The Church has condemned Jewish involvement in banking almost a millenia ago - they told Catholics not to touch Jews or their homes but Jews were to stay away from banking. Check out the international banking system and the utterly corrupt Federal Reserve for example to see the extent it is dominated by organised Jewry. It also needs to be delineated between Old Testament Jews and Talmudic Jews. OT Jews tend to adhere to the 10 commandments and much of Christian morality. Talmudic Jews are infested with the diabolical in fact the Talmud called Our Lord and our Lady words that I will not dare even repeat.
E.Michael Jones mentions when the Jews at large rejected Christ they became revolutionary because they rejected "Logos" that is the order and reason behind the universe. He also noted in history when Catholic Christianity was strong Jewry was weak and vice versa. Look at Biden recently who praised Jews for helping get gay marriage legalised in various places - the Orthodox Jews were disgusted and didn't want to be lumped with the liberal Talmudic variety. Tom Wolfe leading social commentator and atheist mentioned that Jews want to put a tired and dysfunctional Christianity out of its misery. There is a disproportionately large amount of Talmudic Jews involved in the attack on the Roman Catholic Church. When addressing anti-Semitism I think you need to be more specific rather than throw everyone and everything in the SSPX under the anti-semite umbrella. And likewise some trads need to realise not all Jews are completely Satanic.
To be honest huge crowds and excitement are not really important when it is based on emotionalism and leads to little increase in genuine sanctity and holiness. Most Catholics are clueless about the faith.
What Bishop Lefebvre wrote in 1990 in Spiritual Journey applies to our current circumstance and once again with laser like precision:
"The current Pope and bishops no longer hand down Our Lord Jesus Christ, but rather a sentimental, superficial, charismatic religiosity, through which, as a general rule, the true grace of the Holy Ghost no longer passes. This new religion is not the Catholic religion; it is sterile, incapable of sanctifying society and the family.
One single thing is necessary for the continuation of the Catholic Church: fully Catholic bishops, who make no compromise with error, who found Catholic seminaries, where young candidates for the priesthood can nourish themselves with the milk of true doctrine, placing Our Lord Jesus Christ at the center of their intellects, of their wills, of their hearts; who have a living faith, profound charity, a devotion without bounds, uniting them to Our Lord. They will ask, as did St. Paul, that we pray for them, that they advance in understanding and wisdom of the Mysterium Christi, of the mystery of Christ, where they will discover all of the divine treasures."
I am not saying be negative all the time and the Lord gives us the grace to still laugh and have joy but us Catholics don’t like to admit there is anything wrong with the highest levels of the Church – Rome is burning and has lost the faith and we are on the verge of the greatest chastisement in world history such is the Heavenly Father's anger. I think I understand the spirit of your comment in general though and where you are coming from. God Bless.
"Love being the greatest power in the world makes this Army the most powerful one. The battle is far advanced. You will witness its gains more and more. Its victory will break forth when the Enemy believes he has won the battle. Blessed are you for being part of this army and for becoming Love." Buy this book Jamey, "For The Happiness of My Own, My Chosen Ones, Jesus." by Leandre Lachance. This book will help you. Because your obsession with Jewish conspiracy is unhealthy. The SSPX priests in Argentina during the Dirty War would bless the planes used to throw prisoners into the Atlantic. Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are not Jewish, and they are diabolical. Evangelicals promote the authoritarian Likud party in Israel to oust Palestinians from their own lands. In other words, WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR SIN. And unless, you embrace the truth that ALL human nature has weaknesses despite religion or race, you, Jamey, will be crushed by your own jealousy. Pope Francis imitates God's jealousy instead. "God's jealousy is liberating; it transforms, enlivens and makes life flourish. It promises that no one in the world will have a greater love than He has." Pope Francis embraces everyone including sinners. What a wonderful love! It is for all of us. May the Holy Spirit fulfill God's Dream in you, Jamey, cause you really need it.
Jamey,
I'll gladly contest these "facts"
The following are documented facts:
1. Russia was properly Consecrated in 1984. A: Really? How so? Did EVERY bishop in the world simultaneously consecrate at the same time as the Holy Father with the specific intention of consecrating Russia? I'll save you the response, nope, it never happened, rather jp2 gave his "consecration of the world" or whatever that was. That is NOT what our Lady mandated.
2. Sister Lucia confirmed that Russia was properly Consecrated in 1984. Really? How do you know this? I don't accept at all the person who was presented to be Sister Lucia, sorry, we're not idiots, just looking at the dental and facial structure this woman was not at all the same Sister Lucia. The REAL Sister Lucia was a poor peasnt, her demeanor was that of a humble child and yes, she had very bucked teeth. Years later we see the fake sr lucia with perfectly straight teeth. Not sure what reasons the Vatican had for putting this imposter in place but maybe we'll know one day.
^^^Distractions, distractions. How sad.
First of all, did you know the Vatican Exorcist says the Consecration of Russia hasn't been done? He says Bl. Pope John Paul II wanted to do it but politicians were telling him not too. This man was present for the consecration. Listen to him...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vG3Bw3Z_gbM
I'm just downright confused. There are so many arguments about this. Deep down, I don't believe it's been done personally. As I've said before, would it not be apparent to all? Yes, it would. Our Lady said it would be late. It already is...
Note: I am NOT downplaying the importance of the First Saturday devotions. Our Lady requested both but it's beyond me why it's taken so long for the Consecration of Russia. What does that tell you?
Secondly, how can there possibly have been an imposter Sr. Lucia? I've never got that. I admit they do look different, but that doesn't necessarly mean they are different people does it? I don't think a deception of that magnitude would be pulled off, honestly. Anyway you all probably know more than about this than me. I've read a few articles and saw pictures comparing them. Although there is the diabolical disorientation...
"To be honest huge crowds and excitement are not really important when it is based on emotionalism and leads to little increase in genuine sanctity and holiness. Most Catholics are clueless about the faith."
You hit the nail on the head there, Jamey! Look, I'm a teenager like them but I can tell you, emotionalism and all that mush is not what attracts me. Beauty and reverence is. The Catholic Faith is a religion of the intellect, not the emotions. I strive to be one of those few teenagers who study the Faith. And I do constantly. I can care less about what rubbish is on the TV or this or that. I care about one thing. My Faith and tradition. I just went to the Latin Mass this morning. Nothing can compare. Nothing. I do not want to be clueless and lukewarm, ever. I love my Faith and no one will ever destroy it or take it from me. I love everything we once loved which is why I choose to worship as we once worshiped. The saying goes: We are what you once were. We believe what you once believe. We worship as you once worshiped. If you were right then, we are right now. If you were wrong then, we're wrong now... No, I'm not some medieval weirdo. I'm just a Catholic who loved the greatness of the Church. Since you have to label these days, I am a traditional Catholic. Period. That's all. You want to know how to draw people back to the Church? That easy. You're not doing it by making the Church all protestant, emotional, charismatic, etc. You want people to come? Then restore the sacred once and for all! That is the answer. If I can see it then so can everyone else. Seeing tradition and reverence makes me happy. I want everyone to have that happiness. Not the happiness of being in luvv with your emotions but the authentic happiness that comes with loving the Catholic faith, whole and entire and fighting against Modernism for the greater glory of God. Our Lady triumphs in the end... Let's make the great St. Pius X happy. Shall we? :)
God bless!
~Hannah
Mariana, that is just a bunch of ad hominems and slop. Address specific arguments I have made. Do you disagree that Biden praised Jewish involvement in pushing gay marriage? Did I say non-Jews aren't also involved in the attack on Christianity and are also sinful? Did I say all Jews are evil? I will say this - if today's churchmen had to be put together a canon of scripture most of the New Testament would be missing due to its offensive nature.
Peterman thank-you. Any honest person will admit there are striking differences in the face as well as behaviour of the later "Lucia". The ultimate question is if everything was ok why was Sr Lucia banished after the revolution in the church. Why did the first sentence of the Third Secret read " In Portugal the dogma of the faith will be preserved, etc" and Cardinals say it refers to the Great Apostasy? Because the changes in the Church since the 60's have led to an attack on its dogmas and with the changes in liturgy led to the Great Apostasy.
Hannah, I agree nothing compares to a proper TLM in a TLM parish with high altar:
"There can never really be any peace between the two rites. The vertical orientation of the one, and the horizontal orientation of the other, will always clash."
""The Novus Ordo Missae, even when said with piety and respect for the liturgical rules, ...is impregnated with the spirit of Protestantism. It bears within it a poison harmful to the faith""
Have to give my hearty agreement with Emmett and Stephen. (Stephen, I like Schumann! Do you?) Remember, He came to call sinners. For those of you who are questioning the holy father and the Church, I challenge you to go sit silently in front of the Blessed Sacrament. That's where the beauty of the liturgy is. If today you hear his voice...
Tom
Hello Tom,
The difficulty becomes has the church always been a bit too stern and should loosen up like we saw with the dancing bishops in Brazil, Pinocchio Masses and Brazilian beach balls being put on the altar against the tabernacle of St Peters. The popes pre 1960 would have been horrified with such things so who is out of kilter?
I think the old Church was effective at sanctifying and also stopping evil in the world and the siege mentality served it well. Pope Francis has commented some would like the Church turn back to 1940 that would be swell imo. Give us the old Mass, the fear of God, Catholic Action, the nice vestments and strong preaching and general dignity that came with the priesthood.
For a change of conversation before things heat up have you heard Arvo Part's compositions?
Hi Tom,
Yes I do love Schumann- the Piano Concerto in A minor is wonderful as is most of the solo literature. Do you know Liszt's Bénédiction de Dieu dans la solitude? This lifts the soul high without doubt! His Ave Maria is also beautiful.
Best wishes,Stephen
Hi Hannah,
I have been following your discussion regarding the consecration and like you , have had moments of confusion. It is interesting, though, where answers sometimes come from. Recently, whilst at our local supermarket, my wife and I ran into an aquaintance and talked about all things catholic. This gentleman had the price ledge to meet Fatima's Lucy and also interview a priest, closely associated to her. I'm sorry that I can't remember his name or if he was a spiritual director or not. Our friend interviewed him about the consecration and the priest offered the following.
When the children of Fatima could not keep their promise to meet with Our Lady as they were imprisoned, the forthcoming miracle of the sun was affected. Although the miracle was incredible, it was lessened somewhat. Likewise, with the 1984 consecration of the world, it was accepted by Heaven but the affects were lessened. Sure, the Berlin Wall came down in 1989 and the USSR ceased to exist as such, but Russia's errors are still being spread throughout the world. This bought us some time but the consecration needs to be redone specifically to Our Lady's prescribed request.
I hope and pray that will happen soon.
God Bless
Michael
Hi Stephen
Yes, I remember Liszt from all those years ago in Music Lit. I'll give Schumann's piano concerto a listen as well. Recently, I've been listening to Horowitz in Moscow and the simple beauty of Schumann's Traumerei struck me as a fitting testament to the devotion he must have felt returning to his homeland after so many decades of exile. The aging, Russian Jew who may have struggled with same-sex attraction, reveals his deepest emotions in the Traumerei. As I listen, I'm reminded of the love and compassion our Father feels for all mankind no matter who or where they are. We should always pray for the people of Russia (and all the people of the world)
Jamey.
I haven't heard of Arvo Part. But I will give him a listen. Thanks! (I really don't know too much about this stuff, even though I put on a brave face) :)
Shalom Everybody,
Tom
Hi Michael,
Thanks for the info! That's an interesting connection between the miracle of the sun and the consecration. I had never thought about that before. God bless.
To all, I want to raise something interesting you should think about. Well, a Priest in my diocese, who I know, love and respect tremendously, (He is a Monsignor and he baptized me) is convinced that the Universal Church needs a Feast in honor of God the Father. He says a Mass in honor of Him every year, which I went to last night. Anyway, in his homily he mentioned the era of peace and Our Lady's triumph. He's convinced the Church needs this feast right now, especially because of the attack on Fatherhood. He also said the world will never have peace unless they turn to God our Father. Of course, he says the Church knows best. He has even had us petition Rome about it. Anyway, just wanted to share that...
God bless!

Miltonic retoric says:
First, Disobedience: The SSPX and their sympathizers will spend all day whining and complaining about some of the failings of some of the Popes, whilst in the same breath paying loyal tribute to excommunicated bishops and defrocked priests in their own ranks. They will also spend all day trying to tear apart approved apparitions like Fatima and Our Lady of All Nations, while in the same breath supporting and promoting unapproved private revelation like Medjugorje, MDM and the like.
There are no excommunicated bishops in the ranks of the SSPX. The lifting of the excommunication on the 4 bishops also lifted that on ++Lefebvre. In the few sspx chapels that I have been to - and I go to a diocesan church which administers the Mass of all ages - I have never seen anything to promote Medjugorje, MDM and the like. It is the antithesis of traditional Catholicism. It is the Nervous Disorder church that has swallowed hook line and sinker Medj, MDM, Garabandal and whose priests promote it. How dare you accuse the SSPX of disobedience (when their leader Bishop Felay says that he accepts 95% of Vatican 2) faithful to the perennial Magisterium. How many Catholic Bishops can claim that? When our sensus catholicus is outraged at the imposition of the New Mass, and all that has led from it, when the new church espouses dangerous doctrines, then we should go down on our knees and thank ++Levebvre and his holy society for holding to tradition.
Second, Ignorance: (I wont cite it)
The Mass of Ages was handed down refined by the Holy Ghost for over a thousand years. Too right we don't want your confected Mass by a committee of men, including Protestants. From the revelations of Marie Julie Jahenny, the Breton Stigmatist,
On November 27, 1902 and May 10, 1904, Our Lord and Our Lady announced the conspiracy to invent the "New Mass": "I give you a WARNING. The disciples who are not of My Gospel are now working hard to remake according to their ideas and under the influence of the enemy of souls a MASS that contains words that are ODIOUS in My sight. When the fatal hour arrives when the faith of my priests is put to the test, it will be (these texts) that will be celebrated in this SECOND period ... The FIRST period is (the one) of my priesthood which exists since Me. The SECOND is (the one) of the persecution when the ENEMIES of the Faith and of Holy Religion (will impose their formulas) in the book of the second celebration ... These infamous spirits are those who crucified Me and are awaiting the kingdom of THE NEW MESSIAH."
Please don't come that canard about how the new mass is more like what was said in the Early Church, er citation? How about it is actually talmudic, which makes it satanic.
http://www.catholictradition.org/Eucharist/roman-mass4.htm
You scatter gun your attacks on a holy society accusing them of disobedience, ignorance and desiring authority, without so much of evidence. Why? Because actually when you accuse the SSPX, you accuse many more people who are Catholics in the Church. The SSPX are not schismatics, nor disobedient - the Vatican says so! - they just have an irregular canonical situation. What are you afraid of the truth of the fruits? Look at the devastated vineyard of the Conciliar Church; practicing Catholics down, Mass attendance down, a contracepting disobedient laity, vocations down and the scandal of the homosexual/pedophile clergy. Now lets hold the mirror up to the SSPX.
When people leave their God-given reason at the door of the papacy, then you have to be accused at what you are: a papolator
Ouch.
Welcome aboard Paul.
Tom not sure if your cup of tea but check out the following youtube link, Arvo Part's Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten:

Hi Paul,
I'm very familiar with that Prophecy from Marie Julie Jahenny. I could never find out if it was approved, though.
First of all, if the Novus Ordo is odious in Christ' sight, then am I sinning for going to it?? It's a valid Mass. If it wasn't we would all be doomed. I know it's distinctly different from the TLM, abuses easily crept into it and all that, but if it's done reverently that's odious? Trust me, I know how different it is from the TLM. Very, very different. I won't get into that now. But some of the words of the Novus Ordo were changed back in 2011 to resemble the Latin here in American. I just don't understand that Prophecy too well. I attend the Novus Ordo during the week and the Traditional Latin Mass on Sunday. Can someone tell me if it's approved?
For one thing it's beyond me why protestant heretics and a supposed freemason Bishop put together the Novus Ordo. That's what really scares me.
Secondly, I commend the SSPX for keeping the Faith through the tribulation. They're more Catholic than most regularized Catholics. Thank God for them. They want to defeat Modernism in the Church (as do I). What do we have in the Church today? Lukewarmess. That's what. Catholic who are more protestant than protestants, whether in the Liturgy, with their luv and feelings and feeling guuud and me me me and what I want and blah blah blah (which is all garbage btw) to Catholic thinking. I pray the SSPX are regularized. We need them desperately in the Church today. We need intellectual Catholics, not emotional feel good nonsense (which is the reason why Medjugorje needs to be condemned, once and for all btw). That's not my religion. My religion is not protestantism or Medjugorje or any other emotional nonsense. My religion is the Catholic faith of 2000 years and all that was handed down.
God bless!

Paul, that was unecessarily mean-spirited.
Regarding some of which we have discussed in these comments and Russia being the instrument of world chastisement:
"US President Barack Obama says he is 'disappointed' that Russia has granted temporary asylum to National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden.
Obama says Russia's decision reflects some of the 'underlying challenges' the US has had with Russia recently. He says that is due in part to Moscow's tendency to slip back into, in his words, a 'Cold War mentality.' "
Hi again Hannah,
Are you familiar with 'The Permanent Instruction of the Alta Vendita'? This booklet, first printed in the mid 1800s is a masonic instruction for the destruction of the Catholic Church. They acknowledge that it would take more than a life time to complete this. Within it, are mention of changes such as replacement of the high alter with a table and have the priest face the people instead of God in the tabernacle. Other changes also mentioned have also occurred since Vatican II. It is worthy of a read and compare with what we know of the NO Mass. The booklet is about 50 pages long and does not take long to read. Here is a link to an online pdf:
pdfshare.org/the-permanent-instruction-of-the-alta-vendita
Remember, that the gates of hell will not prevail against the Catholic Church.
I believe the NO Mass is valid but has allowed for many errors to enter whereas the TLM does not. It sounds as if you are in a good parish/diocese if you have regular access to the TLM. Also, your attendance to daily Mass is wonderful. We have moved dioceses in the last few years and consider my family blessed as our diocese remains somewhat orthodox and has many good priests and seminarians. Keep praying for all Bishops and Priests as they need much prayer.
Also, in my previous post 'price ledge'should read 'privilege' - silly auto spell check!
God Bless
Michael
Jamey says:

Jamey,
Orthodox Russia may very well be the nation that will hand the Communist, warmongering West as good old chastisement. Communism (Materialism put into political/popular practice) is now firmly entrenched in the West in both our Foreign and Domestic Policies. The 1984 Consecration has paid-off very well and Russia is now taking up the cause of defending Christianity at home and abroad, particularly in Syria where the West has been funding and arming the diabolical, al-Qaeda infested (the very same al-Qaeda that is allegedly the United States' sworn enemy) "Syrian Rebels" who have been killing the Christian, Jewish, Alawite and Kurdish (see the latest, breaking massacre) populations in and around Syria at a rate not seen since the Roman Persecutions of the Early Christians - and it is all funded by the U.S. Taxpayer, the same ones that are calling Putin a bad guy.
The biggest irony of it all is that Barack Obama - who supports Murder (aka Abortion) and Sodomy on Deman, who has outdone Bush in bankrupting the Nation and in using the U.S. Military as an International Corporate Mercenary Force - actually has the audacity to pretend that Vladimir Putin is the enemy.
And what is really sad is that so many Catholics are willing to put militant nationalism (the kind peddled on the Government-Media propaganda outlets every night) ahead of reason and in place of solidarity with Christians abroad whether they be in Russia or Syria.
But for those of us who are Catholics First and Americans second, it is not hard to decipher what is taking place in the Middle East and between the West and Russia right now.
Paul,
I'll add one more trait to the list of previous characteristics (Disobedience, Ignorance, Power Hungry) of the SSPX and their sycophants: Sacrilegious, as evidenced the use of your coy reference to the Novus Ordo as the "Nervous Disorder in your post above.
You know, I always thought that the bigger threat to the Church were the liberal, cafeteria Catholics that were the product of the 60's counter culture. But the more I watch things unfold the more I am convinced that it is the SSPX and their sycophants that pose the greater risk. Why? Simple: the liberal Catholics stand out like a sore thumb, but the SSPX maintain the veneer of "tradition" and "rite" all the while being Satanic to the core..."Satanic" in the sense that they are infected with the same Pride and Disobedience that was the source of Lucifer's fall.
The more I think about it, I think that the False Prophet (the precursor to Antichrist) will come not from "the Vatican" but rather from within the ranks of a rebel, disobedient group like the SSPX.
Also, Paul, just to help with your re-education concerning the the similarity between the Novus Ordo and the Pre-Tridentine Mass, there is a great chart here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-Tridentine_Mass#Comparison_of_the_Mass.2C_c._400_and_1000_AD) demonstrating my point. It compares the Mass circa 400 AD with the Mass circa 1000 AD and I think you will cleary see the pattern that I am talking about.
Oh, concerning the private revelations of Marie Julie Jahenny, I can't find any document that states her "visions" were approved by either the local ordinary or the Vatican. But I'll admit I don't know much about her. Perhaps you could educate me with the proper documents.
Miltonic Rhetoric
I was accused of being mean when I replied to you, but what you come up with is bile and invective. Having disproven your thesis that the SSPX and therefore the vaster traditional wing of Holy Mother the Church are the ones that promote Medj, Garabandal etc, you have no response because Traditionalists stick with that which has been pronounced by the Magisterium. Period. The SSPX are only sticking with the Mass of All Ages that was enshrined in the Magisterium of Pius V, Quo Primum. It is not far off to say that without the disobedience of the SSPX there would be no FSSP and the other traditional communities established under JPII.
Power hungry - another accusation with no evidence, just vitriol. Sycophants who pose the greatest risk. Those sycophants who were villified and denied the Mass under the aegis of Pope Pius VI, and to some extent JPII. But funny how it is in the SSPX and the other traditional communities that are flourishing, while the rest of the Church is eviscerating in front of our eyes. Why? Because as we know Lex orandi, lex credendi, lex vivendi.
And you say that they are satanic to the core! By their fruits you shall know them. So it is their pride and disobedience that mark them out as satanic. But it is not the evil of Modernism, the synthesis of all heresies, that has been let rampant and devastated the vineyard, no it is those pesky disobedient sspxers. I find your logic astounding.
Like many Catholics, and the former Holy Father, I was as disappointed as anyone that the two parties couldn't see their way to being reconciled, because, I agree that the visible Church needs them as much as they need to be anchored to the Church. That is a great sore for the entire Church.
Didn't you hear what Father Chiappi said who had read the Third Secret of Fatima, that the Apostasy would start at the top; ie in Rome.
Re the Wiki. What does that prove in my education? That you haven't refuted that the words of the Offertory in the Novus Ordo (notice how Masonic it sounds?) is so similar to the Talmudic rites, not the Early Christian Mass. The Mass was codified by Pope Pius V and handed to the Church in perpetuity, guided by the Holy Ghost!
Re. Marie-Julie Jahenny, granted I don't think the Church has approved her revelations, but the Bishop of Nantes, the local Ordinary was present during many of her ecstasies, she bore the stigmata for many years, and lived solely on the Eucharist. With the quote that I gave you, do you think that present Conciliar Church would come running to validate her? You are an educated fellow, so I am sure that you can find out about her by googling her name. The "visions" of Saint Faustina were put on ice for many years, Saint Padre Pio was hidden away, too.
I love the Church, especially as one who left in my youth and sinned terribly. If it wasn't for God's grace, prayer and the Mass of all Ages, I don't think I would be here. So when I look and see the Apostasy and the looming Chastisement, I weep for Her. As JPI said, when you see how ill and downtrodden you see your Mother, it makes you love Her even more.

Nicely said Paul. I was speaking to people from my parish the other evening, I think most completely apostatised at some point (including myself), a couple of folk didn't but they hung on to the faith by the skin of their teeth (I suspect they are in the small number of the elect). Finding the TLM has made their faith so much easier as it feeds the Catholic sensus fidei of ones soul, whereas the NO does the opposite the statistics speak clearly on this issue.
If we are to accept traditional soteriology the Third Secret of Fatima is so terrible because it alludes to this apostasy and consequently the loss of souls - something far worse than the annihilation of nations. Sr Lucia herself said in 1957 in the interview with Fr Fuentes that the devil will target consecrated souls as if he brings them down he will get many more souls to come with him. At Akita we are also told the devil will target consecrated souls.
Regarding some of the similarities between the NO and the Talmud:
http://mauricepinayblog.wordpress.com/2007/03/04/talmudic-benedictions-in-the-novus-ordo-mass-2/
Essentially with the Protestant, Masonic and Talmudic influence to our worship and theology modern Rome has fornicated with the world.
Emmet,
Here's something interesting! The web site is interfax-religion.com/?+news&div=10682
Don't know much about the site ...
Oh, look at the picture of "The Future of the Church" hmmmm. Perhaps what Our Lady intended for Russia is something better but something is happening. I've also heard from some Eastern Europeans who live in the US: Putin isn't very religious but he knows he need to boost up the Christian culture to defeat the progression of radical Islam. Just some people's opinion who used to live there. Our Lord works in mysterious ways. Aren't we taught God where evil abounds grace abound even more?

More than 1 million believers venerate St. Andrew's Cross in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus
Moscow, August 5, Interfax - The Cross of the Apostle St. Andrew the First Called, a relic revered by Christians throughout the world, has been seen by more than a million people in Russia, a spokesman for the Foundation of St. Andrew the First Called, the organizer of the event, told Interfax-Religion on Monday.
"People had to stand in lines for 30 minutes to nine hours, depending on where the relic was displayed and whether it was day or night. Some churches remained opened for visitors round the clock," the spokesman said.
The cross on which the apostle was crucified arrived from the Greek city of Patras with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, and Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece.
The organizers thanked the local governments for the measures taken to avoid crowding, disorder and accidents.
The Cross arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia's naval stronghold, on July 11. Since the city was founded on the banks of the Neva River St. Andrew has been one of its patron saints. St. Andrew was Apostle Peter's brother and the city bears St. Peter's name. A legend goes that Tsar Peter the Great laid a golden shrine with the apostle's relics in the foundation of the Peter and Paul Fortress. St. Andrew's Cross arrived in St. Petersburg the year the 310th anniversary of the Russian Fleet and of St. Petersburg is observed.
"The Cross was then moved to Moscow, Kiev and Minsk, the capital cities of the three states where most worshipers of the Russian Orthodox Church live, whose spiritual and cultural life carries and develops the legacy of Holy Rus in its numerous manifestations," the spokesman said.
The display of the St. Andrew's Cross "demonstrates our compatriots' genuine attitude toward the Orthodox religion and to our multiethnic traditions," the organizers said.

Here's another interesting comment:
For years, people across the world prayed "for the conversion of Russia". We didn't really imagine what it would be like when it happened...
Life for most Russians is fairly grim: poor housing, poor healthcare, Mafia crime, high levels of alcohol abuse... Christianity is a message of hope and gives a sense of tradition and a framework in which to rethink Russian history and the ghastly events of the 20th century. And it is in no small measure all bound up with Russian nationalism.
The promises of Fatima did not suggest that everything would be perfect, but stated that the conversion would occur. And it is occurring.
One irony is that it is now the West that needs conversion...
The above is from Joanna Bogle a speaker on EWTN
Please hurry up with your next post this SSPX stuff is getting people hot under the collar. They tend to forget :Everyone here is very much in love with our Catholic culture. We don't agree on technical issues but if we are in the time frame you are suggesting , do they realize they are tools of the Evil one and continuing the division among the faithful? We need to be a people of problem solvers not whiners! To solve problems we might try practicing the virtues of humility and prudence. Both sides are dysfunctional- period.
Jamey-please stop with the SSPX stuff-like you said earlier "Don't feed the trolls" You have some interesting things to point out when you stay on the topics which Emmet post. However I'm sure there are people who read this blog and are getting the place where they are going to pass over what you are saying.. You speak of charity but my dear brother in christ please pull the beam out of your own eye.It wasn't necessary to reply to Paul's vitriol with your "ouch". You lost credibility with that in the eyes of some-readers. I not trying to offend you what I am saying is meant with the utmost of charity.

So vitriol, which is what I said was poured out by Miltonic Rhetronic. Mmmmmm.
Our Blessed Lord called the Pharisees and elders of the Temple sons of the devil, a brood of vipers. Nothing nice about that eh. He beat the money changers out of the Temple with whips. Nothing nice about that eh. He was a carpenter, a man's man, no power tools for him. The truth is stark; it hurts. Our Blessed Lord lost credibility with the crowds when he said "unless you eat my body and drink my blood you cannot enter the kingdom", and for the first time the crowds fell away, we are told in John.
The Gospel of Christ was so stark, so "in your face" that He was put to death on the cross. I pray that I may have the faith, the strength, the docility to follow Him too.
Jamie, I read Maurice Pinay, and he aint for faint hearts of this world. I have read E Michael Jones, "The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit and it's impact on world history" and that aint for the faint hearted, too. No the truth must rock the foundations of the Church of Nice, so that we can can be set free.
If I am a troll, then a troll for Christ am I.
I say this not in anger, but in love.
In Domino
Paul,
Concurred E.Michael Jones' work is simply awesome. With conspiracy it is difficult to sort fact from fiction, and that is where E.Michael is at his best. I would recommend anyone check out his free podcasts and in particular Pope Benedict XVI's Light of the World to understand some of the real confusion that has plagued the church:
http://www.culturewars.com/Podcasts.html
J, you have made the error like others have - that is by highlighting the problems in the church and world that one is whining and negative, not true. It is obvious to any honest person the church is different from what it use to be. We will not be silenced.
Hello friends,
I just wanted to mention for anyone interested, that I will be interviewed live (with phone in questions) about my book "Heralds of the Second Coming" and papal/marian teachings related to it at www.vericast.net tomorrow, Sunday 11 August at 5pm EST (10pm GMT).
It would be a real pleasure if any of you guys could drop in on the show.
God bless
Stephen Walford
Hi Steve,
I'll try to give it a watch. Let us know where we can watch the video after it's over.
Thanks,
Hi J. Glad to make your acquaintance.
Miltonic. How are you sir? Is your name from John Milton of Paradise Lost?
I'm Tom from the US East coast. Pleasure to meet you gentlemen.
Tom
Hi Emmett, I apologize if you have already answered this somewhere in your blog, but, which city do you believe is Babylon in the Book of Revelation? Could it be New York?
Thanks
I think Emmett sees North America as the Whore of Babylon, this from another post he made:
"As I argue in the book, the root cause of the current apostasy that the Church is enduring (the "Great Apostasy" foretold in Scripture) can be attributed directly to the influences of Freemasonry etc. on modern society. And it is rather worrying that Freemasonry and its ilk were so intimately involved in the founding of the US government - which is plagued by elite secret societies such as the Bohemian Club, Skulls and Bones etc. These groups have been intent on transforming the USA from a Christian nation into the "whore of Babylon" - "the great city that has dominion over the kings of the earth." (Rev 17:18).
The Book of Revelation warns us that the end-time empire known as "Babylon" is doomed to destruction: "Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “So will Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence, and will be found no more..."(Revelation 18:21) As I argue in the post "Mega-tsunami", I believe this is related to the mega-tsunami threat posed by the collapse of the volcano Cumbre Vieja in the Canary Islands - and the prophecy of the "great mountain, burning with fire" being thrown into the sea (Rev 8:8). This event also seems to have been prophesied in many private revelations, such as during the Marian apparitions in Turzovka, Czechoslavkia in 1958. You can find varioius posts on this subject on the blog here."
Milton, I think you are brilliant and truly inspired by the Holy Spirit. We are taught the Church is the body of Christ. Those who do not follow the Church are Antichrist. It's that simple, and yet so scary. The schism is here, and continues. Unfortunately, so many are blind by their bigotry and pride. May Pope Francis open their eyes to the truth.
Russia is the only country on earth standing for Christianity. Catholics should join the Russian Orthodox against the communist degradation of what the West has become. And those like Jamey are the last of the Mohicans. That's right Jamey, you're on the wrong side my friend. The side of the Antichrist. Your pride and stupidity want to divide Catholicsm, like Obama has done to the U.S. Hold on tight cause the prophecy of Fatima is unveiling right before your eyes, Russia is converting. Does not matter the initial motive of Putin. Right now, he's doing exactly what our Blessed Mother said would happen. We are a secular authoritarian militarized country today. The U.S. and Europe are lost. It is Russia that will show the world how to overcome evil. Her Immaculate Heart will triumph, She promised. And Jamey, you are toooo blind to understand it. Or are you part of the masonic disinformation team for western secularism? Are you using the SSPX as an excuse to divide Catholics? You sure sound like you are.
Miltonic?
Jamey like I said, you are soon to be the last of the Mohicans. The Latin mass is wonderful, but it has been the NO that has converted Jews and Muslims. The mass in their language has made a difference. That's what its about. A universal religion that converts everyone. This is what Vatican II was all about. And it was genius. Obedience buddy, you can't handle. How sad. How ignorant.
Emmett,
Hi, awhile ago, you said and in my words now, you can believe the Great Warning of Garabandal if it is the same as St. Faustina's revelation about the Cross in the sky.
I was very happy when I read your words because it is amazing to read how there could be two or three different prophetic end time scenarios. Example, Desmond Birch, your writings, Father Iannuzzi, others too. I read of a new one, similar to yours, a gentleman who replied in this thread. Whoever, some people are going to be wrong and I'll have eat crow if what I've read and believe doesn't happen because there is one plan. Don't be hurt, I think prophecy shows Father Iannuzzi's view is correct.
The differences are confusing to me because private revelation states the promised Era of Peace is going to happen and it does NOT happen after Christ's coming at the Final Judgment. It happens before, this is Our Lord's middle coming.
Briefly, first, the divine Great Warning including God's warning of the anti-Christ. The anti-Christ comes to power as short as six weeks after the Great Warning. God's mercy, He tries again with another divine event prophesied, within a year of the Warning, God's great Miracle predicted at Garabandal.
The mind controlling chipping of everyone or you will be hauled off and to the internment camps. This is prophecy about the Great Tribulation, you have to, before evil comes to round up people, the faithful must flee to the refuges. The Remnant will invisible to evil guided by their Guardian Angels and undetected at the refuges. The "on Eagle's Wings" mentioned in Revelation, those in the wilderness at the refuges are the faithful consecrated to Our Lady. And Old Testament Scripture refers to our angels guiding us (Exodus 23:20-22). Time is shortened, Our Lord's promise, thank Heavens, I am spoiled, most Americans have never experienced living in close community as a refugee.
2 Peter 3:10, the "day of the Lord" is God's Chastisement by fire and when it happens the Remnant are protected again by God as they had been at the holy places of refuge.
After the Chastisement, God renews the earth and Satan is cast into Hell for an amount of time, it may not be a literal 1000 years. The Remnant enter God's new time, the Era of Peace. There will be so many divine signs, gifts, charisms given during this era of peace. It will be a spiritual reign of Our Lord, God's 7th Day.
Prophecy shows Garabandal and Akita are supported by earlier messages, Faustina's in the 1930s and saints before her. The present yet to be approved private revelation makes things more clear. Sadie Jaramillo's messages confirm the "cross in the sky" in Faustina's messages. John Leary's messages have said the celestial to get our attention prophesied at Garabandal, like two stars crashing, Leary's the "comet" of the Great Warning comes around again as at the time of God's Chastisement.
Sadie Jaramillo was given a vision and messages from Our Lord beginning in March. Too many characters here already so I'll paste it next or share the link to the message.
Emmett, the scenario for the end times isn't far off, years from now. We are already seeing Garabandal's prophesied when Communism comes again. Partly, the different views on the end times could be, certain Bible verses refer to TWO periods of time in God's plan of Eight Days.
blessings,
Mary

"The Blue Star"
March 22nd, 2013
The following visions were given to me during the rosary at the Marian Movement of Priests cenacle (March 22nd) , and the message was given to me after receiving the Eucharist April 14th):
I was shown over several consecutive weekly MMP cenacle's, a pair of scales....evenly balanced at first..then one side suddenly went down very quickly.....and next I saw a huge hammer slam down on the scale that was weighted down...which was symbolic of the sins weighing down the scale of course .....the hammer symbolic of God's justice....I was told..that our infrastructure will go down soon.
Then it was as if I was "flying" (for lack of better description) behind a comet...only this comet had blue tinges around the edges..and was actually blue....and it had a blue tail.....and I heard..."the blue star will be upon you soon...." I have been shown this comet many years ago....but tonight is the first time Jesus has called it "blue star".... I have never been given a name for this comet....so I was quite taken aback.
April 14th, 2013
As I began to make my thanksgiving after receiving the Eucharist I began to hear Jesus, after testing, Jesus responded:
"I am the good shepherd, and my sheep know my voice." I laid down my life for you, and for all...for LOVE...I am LOVE incarnate....but few are they who return that love....I find great consolation in the hearts of those who do love me, for the many who do not. See I have heard your prayers; I have heard your supplications, I have received your tears.
But look and see what I see....desolation of souls...desolation of love...desolation of marriage...desolation of the youth....desolation for lack of knowledge of my LOVE.
To you I have shown some of what I see; to you I have shared some of what I feel; and I acknowledge your attempts to fulfill the command of My Mother in her request for you to share Her sorrow and proclaim the warnings as my sentinel in the watchtower. To you I have shown the blue star, that brings a great change and prodigy....to you I have shown the disruption of your society's "normal" existence because they have turned their backs from me...
Then the Lord gave me the following Scriptures which came very rapidly:
Revelation 16:15:
Matthew 24:21-22
Matthew 25 1-13
continued....
Jesus continues:
"Behold I say to you, I AM coming like a thief in the night and no one knows the hour nor the day...but those who are wise and have responded to the pleas of My words in MY WORD (the bible), "REPENT AND SIN NO MORE...REPENT AND TURN FROM YOUR EVIL WAYS; REPENT FOR JUDGEMENT IS COMING."...and those requests of My Mother, can see the signs which point to these days and they understand."
For most of my people (in these days) are wasting away in the vile sins and filth that has inundated this nation and the world, (but) the plots of those evil societies will be thwarted by Divine Intervention. The time of extreme punishment is upon you, but be not afraid for I am with you...My Mother leads the remnant through the final phase of these trying times.
I am asking you to live an intense prayer life in these days...and it is not the length of prayer..but the meditation and knowledge of what is being prayed with every beat of the heart.
And my Mother will (once again) be able to bring a swift end of this trial, for the Trinity where She dwells cannot say no to the Queen of Heaven. It is for the sake of those who pray, cry and lament over the state of this nation that Divine Intervention will prevail.
But again I repeat, I AM COMING, AND I AM COMING WHEN MY PEOPLE LEAST EXPECT IT, SO THEREFORE BE VIGILANT AND AWAKE.
(I was interrupted here and it was Saturday the 20th of April in Eucharistic Adoration that Jesus gave me the completion)....
What is about to be unleashed on this nation will bring many to their knees, (for still), as a nation there has been no repentance, (so the scales of my justice are weighted down, and the cup of my Father's wrath runs over) (and what comes) will bring the chaos and confusion which I revealed to you years ago, but I will intervene divinely..rest my daughter, rest on my bosom, for the work increases and (soon) you will have no rest...
I have heard your prayers, in the stillness of your soul....I AM.
Sadie Jaramillo: Amen.
(The above has been sent to my spiritual director who has reviewed it all).
"Jamey like I said, you are soon to be the last of the Mohicans. The Latin mass is wonderful, but it has been the NO that has converted Jews and Muslims. The mass in their language has made a difference. That's what its about. A universal religion that converts everyone. This is what Vatican II was all about. And it was genius. Obedience buddy, you can't handle. How sad. How ignorant."
I would be interested to see the evidence of these mass conversions of Jews and Muslims. The odd convert here and there don't cut it as we had converts prior the 1960's. In fact the last time I checked Mass attendance amongst Catholics themselves dropped from 75% in 1965 before VII and the NO, to around 10% now. Let stick to facts and not attacks "Marianna".
Why don't you agree with letting Jews and Muslims hear the gospel of Jesus Christ in their own language, Jeremy? There have been many conversions to Christianity after 1965. Google it if you don't have a library to go to. In fact the interfaith dialogue with Jews after Vatican II has brought more conversions than there were in the first 2000 years of the Christian Church. Ask Fr David Neuhaus, a priest. He was once Jewish. Even the number of Israeli Catholics increased tremendously. And more Muslims in the last couple of decades have converted than ever in history. www.thmuslimissue.wordpress.com/2012/08/03/leaving-evil-more-muslims-than-ever-in-history-converting-to-christianity/ There was a NY Times article on American Jews converting to Christianity recently. You can look it up. So much for your version of traditionalism. Like I said, you are the last of the Mohicans.
St. Sylvia of Constantinople, the most learned woman of her day - and fought against heresies. I am not attacking Jamey, I'm educating.
You post under "Sylvia" as well as "Mariana", any other guises?. Maybe you should quickly delete that post before others realise.
The article mentions nothing about them converting to the Catholic faith so why does getting rid of Latin in the liturgy have anything to do with people converting to non-Catholic Christianity? Plus general preaching and evangelisation in recent history as far as I am aware has been in the vernacular, the liturgy in Latin. Bishop Sheen didn't preach in Latin on his show Life is Worth Living.
Conversions of sorts have always happened when people are exposed to the gospel. With the internet there will be some conversions as people can now access a much wider array of historical information wherever they are located; any conversions have nothing to do with the changes in the liturgy in fact the changes of the liturgy have destroyed the faith as Pope Benedict XVI himself said. Is B16 a Mohican rad trad?
We also have to be careful how stats are interpreted, I remember Cardinal Pell writing an article how there are alot more conversions to the faith since VII and it achieved its aim. He was basing this on the total increase in baptisms alone (most people I know get their kids baptised but dont attend Church regularly) however the quality of Catholicism and fidelity to the sacraments and reverence in Churches have declined.
Also regarding an earlier comment, Sr Lucia herself said that Russia converting means to the Catholic faith not some increase in non Catholic-Christianity. There are other prophecies where Russia will convert to Catholicism around the time of a great Chastisement. When the Church has spoken in the past on conversions it meant to Catholicism and the ordinary and normal sacraments of salvation.
Now please enlighten me as to what constitutes my version of traditionalism?
...others realize what???? Pope Benedict never said changes of the liturgy destroyed the faith - He said he loved the sacredness of the liturgical style as in the Gregorian chant, but never said Vatican II changed the liturgy. In fact, Pope Benedict defined liturgy "as openness to God, community of faith, worldwide unity with the Church and its history, it means celebrating the mystery of the living Christ." Vatican II did not begin a new Church or change the liturgy, and the EF mass was never outlawed. The NO was a means to be more ecumenical more open to all cultures. Jamey you may be doctrinally faithful, but you clearly resist the work of the Holy Spirit in Vatican II. Unfortunately, Catholics need to do more. There are other Christian Churches evangelizing and moving the people towards non-Catholic Churches, especially in Latin America. This is what Pope Benedict, JPII, and our Francis today understood and want to change. A call to mission is the real heritage of the Second Vatican Council II. And Catholics are too comfortable, or too traditional and don't want the Holy Spirit to annoy them. "We want the Holy Spirit to sleep, Pope Francis said. "We want to domesticate the Holy Spirit, and that just won't do because he is God and he is that breeze that comes and goes, and you don't know from where." It was Vatican II that officially recognized Gregorian chant to have a special place within the liturgy. Though what's really important is that liturgy is a means to accomplish the Eucharist. The reverence for the Eucharist is not affected by the liturgical style, as long as certain basics are kept in place. Our Pope's since Vatican II, want us to support Church doctrine, be loyal to the Magisterium, but also most importantly want us to put Christ and the Catholic Church right in the middle of the secular world, with no excuses and no complaints or division. In other words, do a damn better job than the other non-Catholic Christian churches. Jamey, the trad culture of the 1950's does not have a reputation for being the era of taking Christ to the streets. Go ahead, go to the Latin mass, just don't try to make it the only way.
All this stuff is about to happen very very soon. Sorry, I don't trust our current pope Francis after what he said about gay clergy that they should be forgiven and their sins forgotten and who am I to judge. What pope Francis is saying we should except gay clergy!
There is no way I'm going to bring my family to communion or confession or get blessed by a gay clergy or queer priest in the house of the Lord. It's a disgrace!!
Anonymous, you are re-phrasing what Pope Francis meant and getting it wrong. Pope Francis said exactly what the Church teaches. We should forget the sins of those who have repented. We should not judge. Our Church is for everyone, including sinners.
Mariana: "Pope Benedict never said changes of the liturgy destroyed the faith"
Pope Benedict: “In the place of liturgy as the fruit of development came fabricated liturgy. We abandoned the organic, living process of growth and development over the centuries and replaced it – as in a manufacturing process – with a fabrication, a banal on-the-spot product.”
and again from his book Milestones 1927-1977 then Cardinal Ratzinger had the following to say:
"I am convinced that the crisis in the Church that we are experiencing today is to a large extent due to the disintegration of the liturgy."
So unlike you he thinks there is a crisis (the Great Apostasy imo) largely due to the changes in the liturgy.
Mariana said:"Our Pope's since Vatican II, want us to support Church doctrine, be loyal to the Magisterium, but also most importantly want us to put Christ and the Catholic Church right in the middle of the secular world,"
Well that hasn't happened in fact the opposite has happened hence why we now have partial birth abortion and gay "marriage" amongst other things.
Mariana said: " Jamey, the trad culture of the 1950's does not have a reputation for being the era of taking Christ to the streets."
Nonsense, genuine Catholicism has never held back from evangelisation hence why our faith spread to various parts of the globe. You have enjoyed taking shots at Lefebvre but he was on the streets of Africa and a great missionary bishop in Dakar. As said above we had a far greater Catholic society before VII than now although back then even Pius XII said there was more sin in the world than had ever been in history. However now it is truly of Apocalypse proportions and such that Pius XII probably wouldn't have thought possible. Paul VI described the auto demolition of the Church which he personally instigated and oversaw. This demolition (made possible by the changes in liturgy and ambiguous language of VII) have made it possible that the "Man of Sin" could be making his way into the equation as the apostasy had to come first otherwise he wouldn't have had a chance to get a foothold.
Mariana said:"Go ahead, go to the Latin mass, just don't try to make it the only way."
I never said it was to be the only rite, there are other rites that God gave us such as the Byzantine rite. However the NO is a rupture (as it is fabricated, made up on the spot) and indeed very similar to the apostate Thomas Cranmer's rite that tried to destroy Catholic faith in England.
Now here are some stats
"An index of Catholicism's decline
A review by Pat Buchanan
As the Watergate scandal of 1973-1974 diverted attention from the far greater tragedy unfolding in Southeast Asia, so, too, the scandal of predator-priests now afflicting the Catholic Church may be covering up a far greater calamity.
Thirty-seven years after the end of the only church council of the 20th century, the jury has come in with its verdict: Vatican II appears to have been an unrelieved disaster for Roman Catholicism. Liars may figure, but figures do not lie. Kenneth C. Jones of St. Louis has pulled together a slim volume of statistics he has titled Index of Leading Catholic Indicators: The Church Since Vatican II. His findings make prophets of Catholic traditionalists who warned that Vatican II would prove a blunder of historic dimensions, and those same findings expose as foolish and naive those who believed a council could reconcile Catholicism and modernity. When Pope John XXIII threw open the windows of the church, all the poisonous vapors of modernity entered, along with the Devil himself. Here are Jones's grim statistics of Catholicism's decline:
Priests. While the number of priests in the United States more than doubled to 58,000, between 1930 and 1965, since then that number has fallen to 45,000. By 2020, there will be only 31,000 priests left, and more than half of these priests will be over 70.
Ordinations. In 1965, 1,575 new priests were ordained in the United States. In 2002, the number was 450. In 1965, only 1 percent of U.S. parishes were without a priest. Today, there are 3,000 priestless parishes, 15 percent of all U.S. parishes.
Seminarians. Between 1965 and 2002, the number of seminarians dropped from 49,000 to 4,700, a decline of over 90 percent. Two-thirds of the 600 seminaries that were operating in 1965 have now closed.
Sisters. In 1965, there were 180,000 Catholic nuns. By 2002, that had fallen to 75,000 and the average age of a Catholic nun is today 68. In 1965, there were 104,000 teaching nuns. Today, there are 8,200, a decline of 94 percent since the end of Vatican II.
Religious Orders. For religious orders in America, the end is in sight. In 1965, 3,559 young men were studying to become Jesuit priests. In 2000, the figure was 389. With the Christian Brothers, the situation is even more dire. Their number has shrunk by two-thirds, with the number of seminarians falling 99 percent. In 1965, there were 912 seminarians in the Christian Brothers. In 2000, there were only seven.
contd....
The number of young men studying to become Franciscan and Redemptorist priests fell from 3,379 in 1965 to 84 in 2000.
Catholic schools. Almost half of all Catholic high schools in the United States have closed since 1965. The student population has fallen from 700,000 to 386,000. Parochial schools suffered an even greater decline. Some 4,000 have disappeared, and the number of pupils attending has fallen below 2 million -- from 4.5 million.
Though the number of U.S. Catholics has risen by 20 million since 1965, Jones' statistics show that the power of Catholic belief and devotion to the Faith are not nearly what they were.
Catholic Marriage. Catholic marriages have fallen in number by one-third since 1965, while the annual number of annulments has soared from 338 in 1968 to 50,000 in 2002.
Attendance at Mass. A 1958 Gallup Poll reported that three in four Catholics attended church on Sundays. A recent study by the University of Notre Dame found that only one in four now attend.
Only 10 percent of lay religious teachers now accept church teaching on contraception. Fifty-three percent believe a Catholic can have an abortion and remain a good Catholic. Sixty-five percent believe that Catholics may divorce and remarry. Seventy-seven percent believe one can be a good Catholic without going to mass on Sundays. By one New York Times poll, 70 percent of all Catholics in the age group 18 to 44 believe the Eucharist is merely a "symbolic reminder" of Jesus.
At the opening of Vatican II, reformers were all the rage. They were going to lead us out of our Catholic ghettos by altering the liturgy, rewriting the Bible and missals, abandoning the old traditions, making us more ecumenical, and engaging the world. And their legacy?
Four decades of devastation wrought upon the church, and the final disgrace of a hierarchy that lacked the moral courage of the Boy Scouts to keep the perverts out of the seminaries, and throw them out of the rectories and schools of Holy Mother Church.
Through the papacy of Pius XII, the church resisted the clamor to accommodate itself to the world and remained a moral beacon to mankind. Since Vatican II, the church has sought to meet the world halfway.
Jones' statistics tell us the price of appeasement.

Oh, Jamey don't look back, it's so painful. I love Pat and know he's right on so many levels, but it's gone with the wind. That era is gone, and it's not coming back. We live a different world today. Change came and most of us weren't ready. But that is what life is all about. Blessed John Henry Newman said, "To live in this world is to change, and to be perfect is to have changed often." Vatican II was not responsible for any desecration of liturgy. It is our own society of church members who were and still are responsible for not implementing Vatican II properly. We are the ones at fault. Blaming Vatican II is like blaming the civil war and the mess it left behind on the Emancipation Proclamation. When in fact, the blame should go to those who agreed on the messy war in the first place, instead of changing their hearts towards slavery from the beginning. The perversity had already been in the Church for years and years before Vatican II. The illness of society was hidden, but it existed. WWI and WWII, left the world in a psychological mess. The war in Vietnam finally put society on the edge. We are still trying to pick up the pieces. Life is messy, Jamey. And humans keep inventing more toys that poison and kill. Evil is very difficult to totally defeat. But we are a resilient species, and like the South has risen once again, so will the Church. Keep your eyes and heart on the Eucharist. Everything else passes. And as Skarlett said, "tomorrow is another day."
Of course Pat is right those stats are clear as day.
We need to look back to understand what happened, otherwise we bury our heads in the sand.
So now you seem to agree that the NO is an issue? The Church has never denied that a small amount of change to the liturgy is ok, organic developments have always occurred however what happened was a revolution. Saying all that I find it hard to see how the 1962 Missal could be improved, out of all this once the Church returns to her customs she will be like the Orthodox who tolerate very little change to their liturgy, even one word of supposed change is greeted with great opposition. Rather than getting a half butchered rite we got one fully butchered which in future will probably guarantee little to no compromise on the liturgy.
VII with Religious Liberty and ambiguous language, what was referred to as "Time Bombs" of the council diminished the importance of the Catholic Church and the social kingship of Christ, and many liberals/diabolically disoriented men ran with their new vision of the Church. Cardinal Kasper, a liberal, said the council documents were loaded with ambiguous terms to appease all sections of the Church, orthodox and liberal. Look back at the Council of Trent the language was clear, and black and white meanwhile VII varying shades of grey the devils favorite color. John Vennari related that Cardinal Ratzinger in one of his books following the council said it effectively did away with the necessity of non Catholic Christians needing to become Catholic.
Yes, the Church will once again be what it was as prophesied at Quito where it will return to its traditional customs. However now she is undergoing severe punishment before the world itself drinks from the chalice of wrath which has already begun.
Look towards the Russian Orthodox, the eastern rite. It is interesting Pope Francis carries with him I believe an eastern rite cross. He has mentioned his keen admiration for the east. But we need unity in our own Church first, Jamey. We shall hope and see. Pat's latest article against a Cold war with Russia is excellent. Maybe Fatima is unfolding.
Meant to sign off as Mariana.
Thanks for directing me to Buchanan's article here it is for those wishing to read:

Pope Benedict XVI who at some stages seemed to doubt the Third Secret and attributed it to Lucia's imagination and what she read in pious books said in 2010 that the events of the Third Secret are playing out day by day. Perhaps Benedict lost belief in aspects of Fatima in the 90s because of the dissolution of the USSR and Russia seemed impoverished whilst there seems a definite connection between the Third Secret of Fatima and Russia chastising the west. Maybe he was thinking how could Russia possibly chastise the West when she was on her knees and thought maybe it was a failed prophecy.
The following is some evidence that supports the Third Secret containing a chastisement by Russia and some other related prophecies:
We are told by Pope John Paul II that the Third Secret wasn't revealed in part because they didn't want the Communists to "make certain moves". Cardinal Ottaviani made a similar statement. Also there is Sr Aiello's prophecy of Russia and "her secret armies" overcoming the West. In the 1854 prophecy of Zachary, "it is also revealed that Russia and China will go to war against the West and “North America will fall and be conquered and brought into bondage.” For Russia or China to overrun the United States military and its armed citizens in such manner would seemingly presuppose we were previously rendered incapacitated to some extent to defend ourselves. This would indeed be the case after an EMP attack."
Listening to Newt Gingrich on CNN this morning say the Obama/Bush policies have not worked in the middle east is quite positive for America. Our foreign policy has been so warped for so long, that Sr Aiello's prophecy could very well have come true. The Obama/McCain plan of joining the Muslim Brotherhood's agenda in order to weaken the Russian government is ludicrous. I am glad to see Newt Gingrich is finally speaking out against this. We are watching the powers of be in our own country finally back down. 12 long years of wars that have made no sense. It has bankrupted us. Unless, we back Russia against radical Islamism, we shall see larger problems with them and China in the future. The explosions we are witnessing around our cities' factories are rather strange. Backlash is always a problem when one provokes wars that cause more havoc than peace. Putin today, is a lot more sane than our own State dept's foreign policy. At least Putin is trying to save his country and Church. Getting on Putin's nerve is not a good idea.
Jamey –
We have to look at the world in different ways today. War is no long, strictly speaking, men in trenches with rifles and bayonets. Consider…
A few years ago (2009, I think), the federal government played a wargame with a man named Jim Rickards playing China/Russia. Rickards used nothing but economic warfare and cyber-attacks. He won, against the best that the Pentagon could defend with. Rickards wrote a book on the experience.
Consider also the STUXNET virus that hit Iran a couple of years ago. That was the first attack of its kind.
Today, war can easily be waged by two guys in their jammies in the backwoods of Siberia, so long as they can get an internet connection.
I’ve seen estimates that a full financial collapse of the US economy would be equivalent to a full nuclear exchange with the Soviet Union at the height of the Cold War, though slower and with less radiation (eventual casualties from starvation, collapse of infrastructure from lack of maintenance, etc.).
Humanity has entered it’s Golden Age of stupidity.
Mariana, I think the war is caused by Zionist controlled US, I will try to comment in more detail in the next few days if I have time to sort through information; the situation is very complex. I am not sure if Putin is completely Christian or using it as a front (eg why doesnt he ban abortion, he also just separated from his wife of long time) but I like his style and treatment of the west. I liked how he threw those women in the band "Pussy Riot" in jail for 2 years for being half naked on the main high altar in the Russian cathedral. Likewise his treatment of gay marriage protests however this all may well have been means of political control of sorts. Personally I am very suspicious of all modern politicians. It seems likely he will be the man of wrath against the West.
Mark,
That is true, warfare can take place in various ways. It is applicable particularly with the increased complexity of world economic operations combined with the internet, many things can go wrong almost like a complex aircraft that has thousands of components working together - if one thing goes wrong, it all can go horribly wrong. There could well be some guy in his pj's who triggers a catastrophe via his pc, saying that I do think the released portion of the Third Secret with the bishop in white walking in the city of ruins relates to a huge physical war. We have this coupled with the words that Christ's ministers will befall the same fate of the King of France if the consecration of Russia to the BVM isn't done early enough, and that it "will be done late". Likewise Sr Lucia says the Third Secret has to do with Revelation 8-13, Rev 8 seems to refer to supernatural chastisement such as Akita while Rev 9 seems to refer to war. Remember many parts of Revelation aren't necessarily in chronological order and I personally think there will be war first, then fire falling from the sky from the Heavenly Father himself. Rev 8 seems to allude to 1/3 of the population being wiped out by the supernatural chastisement whilst Rev 9 seems to refer to another 1/3 by a war, I am happy to be corrected if I interpreted this wrong.
I do regularly ponder upon your wise words that some things will probably happen in a way no one suspects. I have a few alternative scenarios in my head as I lack certitude on the sequence of key events going forward.
Jamey, 3 months ago, Russia came out with a law against abortion.
I remembered reading about Russian bureaucrats being concerned regarding the declining population and impacts on economy going forward, also they had excepting maybe China the worst abortion rate in the world. It seems the Russian Orthodox Church has been kicking up some heat on the issue as well.
"Russia recently passed a law restricting abortion to the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, and Russian clinics are also now forced to give (medically dubious) warnings about the health risks of abortion, which supposedly include cancer and infertility."
I really wish clinics elsewhere would inform women of the proper risks physically and mentally, a priest told me one abortionist he knew of who told potential "patients" that their life will never be the same if they go ahead, but that would be rare in the profit motive environment. A decent doctor here in Oz who has copped a grilling from the media Mark Hobart refuses to refer abortions and often he says the women will say to the guy present "I don't want this anyhow and this has made my mind on the issue". There has been talk of him being deregistered for refusing referrals.
It seems that Pope Francis didn't get the memo from Fr Iannuzzi and Iannuzzi's followers here. It seems ignorant Pope Francis is wasting his time, you know, consecrating the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Oct 13, in 2 months.
http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/pope-to-consecrate-world-to-marys-immaculate-heart/
Pope Francis is doing a ton of Consecrating these days. Right after becoming Pope he went to Fatima to consecrate his papacy to Mary. Then he consecrated the Vatican to St Joseph and St Michael the Archangel. And now he's consecrating the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Oct 13. Seems a strange date too... hmmmmmmmm...
And then he did a required worldwide adoration of the Blessed Sacrament by all the Bishops...
All this consecrating and requiring Bishops around the world to join him in doing things..... hmmmm... sounds like Pope Francis has something planned... hmmmmm....
Nah, couldn't be. Pope Francis is just wasting his time, since the Consecration was already done in 1984.
KP I have wondered if Francis by doing a tonne of consecrations is a tactic to soften the Russians so they won't be so offended when he does it. The Russians will think, right well he has consecrated many sorts to the IHM so no need to be too offended, we're just another cab of the rank. Then I dream that a pope will do something like the novel Russian Sunrise authored by Bruce W. Walters where he is behind the scenes working quietly working until he drops a bomb and cleans out most of the Vatican and the Church returns to its traditions, teachings and rigor.
Emmett & Jamey,
We will see whose telling the truth when Our Lady appears at Fatima for the 7th time. We will know if the Consecration was really done or not:
Seventh Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima
“An often-overlooked historical fact of Fátima is the announcement of Our Lady’s seventh coming: “Afterwards I shall still return here a seventh time.” (“Despois voltarei ainda aqui uma setima vez.”) During 1917, Our Lady publicly appeared to the children six times, from May 13th to October 13th. During her first visit, Our Lady said to Lucia: “I want you to come here for six consecutive months, on the thirteenth day at the same time. Afterwards I shall still return here a seventh time.” Curiously, this phrase was not included in the earlier reports about the events because it was only revealed by Sister Lucia in obedience to the bishop, in her fourth written memoir.
A key term in Our Lady’s announcement is the word “here”. Many have interpreted Our Lady’s seventh visit as being the one that took place on December 10th of 1925, when Our Lady appeared to sister Lucia and asked for the sacramental reparation of Confession and Holy Communion on First Saturdays. That, however, took place in the convent of Pontevedra, Spain, not in Fátima. Others hold that it was Our Lady’s apparition of June 13th, 1929, to Sister Lucia in which she asked the Pope and bishops of the world for the consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart. Again, this took place in the Dorothean Convent of Tuy, a Spanish town on the border with Portugal. Neither of these apparitions seem to fulfill Our Lady’s statement, “I shall still return here,” which implies a return to the Cove in Fátima.
A footnote added to “Sister Lucia’s Memoirs” suggests that this predicted Seventh time might have taken place on the morning of June 16th, 1921, when Sister Lucia went back to the Cove to bid farewell to Fátima in her way to the convent. This would have been one more of the many personal visits of Our Lady to Sister Lucia. However, this theory seems contradicted by Sister’s Lucia’s words in her manuscripts from her Spanish convent. “After six years of real trial (since 1917) it was on this day, August 26, 1923, that the Virgin Mary first visited me again.” According to this, Our Lady did not appear to her at the Cove in 1921. As to whether the seventh apparition at the Cove foretold by Our Lady took place during Sister Lucia’s lifetime or not, she never announced it. One can only wonder, why did Our Lady prophesy this seventh apparition so solemnly?... Although the faithful have always assumed that Our Lady meant a seventh apparition to Sister Lucia, Our Lady’s actual words, “I shall return here”, never specified that such a visit would be a personal apparition to Sister Lucia. This prophesied “Seventh visit” continues to remain in the amazing mystery of Fátima."

I found it here: http://www.queenship.org/productdetails.cfm?PC=6565
Jakob,
Thank-you I wasn't aware of this information. Our Lady promised Russia would be converted and there would be peace - how would the consecration achieve this? It could be extraordinary interior graces of the soul or it could well be a huge apparition something the entire world would witness. Given what you have provided could it be a seventh visit to Fatima assuming those later visits weren't included? 7 is the number of completion.
Emmett, Jamey, Hannah,
The crisis in the Church will end when the Hidden Infant Jesus of Good Success will be found according to Venerable Mariana de Jesus Torres.
The following says so, this site is safer than the Chiesa Viva:

It's worth reading the book of year 1790 way before Vatican II:
"The Admirable Life of Mother Mariana (1790) Vol. 1 & 2" by Fr. Manuel Sousa Pereira O.F.M. (The Caution is that: The Foreword of the Translator is Ultra-Conservative)
Thanks Jakob, very interesting.
You have concerns, what do you make of Fr Villa and Chiesa Viva? One concern I had about Fr Villa's book on JPII was a lack of sources but it had a tonne of photos that no-one else seems to have so there were resources available to him. Alice and Dietrich Von Hildebrand met him in the 60's where he told them of his mission. I trust the Von Hildebrand's so obviously he had been around a while. It was also true that Padre Pio was extremely distressed by the changes to the Church as reported by the independent Lutheran minister Bernard C Ruffin.
I am also interested at what the earliest known source of Our Lady of Good Success prophecies if anyone has information? I assume there is something pre 1960.
Jamey,
Interesting take on Pope Francis doing all these consecrations to soften up the Russians. That makes sense.
I don't understand why the Pope doesn't do the consecration and simply specify Russia, as well as other countries. For instance, if he did a consecration of Russia and a separate consecration of the USA, the Middle East, etc; then it could just appear to them as if he were praying for peace. The consecration would still specifically include Russia and wouldn't have to be so vague as "the world."
But either way it seems that Pope Francis does have the consecration in mind.
Interesting info about the possible upcoming 7th apparition at Fatima, too, Jakob!
I've been following the conversation going on here.
Wow Jakov! I totally overlooked the fact that she will come back to Fatima! That's a HUGE piece of information.
Maybe when she triumphs She will return one last time? Something to ponder. Thanks.
Seems Pope Francis is "warming up" for something. I've been thinking that. Why else would he be doing so many consecrations of this and that (as important as those are)? Russia, people, Russia... Just wait...
God bless!

Just in case anyone is wondering, I've been on holiday for the past few weeks in the beautiful wilds of the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland, without any access to the internet. So I couldn't answer any emails or comments, and have a lot of catching up to do - especially in light of the upcoming consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Pope Francis. I'll have to try to get around to the backlog!...
Has your holiday been refreshing Emmett? Recharge the batteries?
Hannah, how critical is this next few years given the 2017 date and 100 years combined with Sr le Royers prophetical timeline. What an excellent time to intensify penances, we may see catastrophe averted and more importantly millions of souls saved.
Save us Papa Franjo!
To the *admirable* Jamey:
Sorry. Had too. ;)
You're right on the mark on penances. Our Lady has been warning us in all the approved apparitions. Are we listening today? She has been warning about THIS TIME! Right now! I wonder how many Catholics are listening, much less even know or care what She says. After all, there's no time for Catholicism. We might miss something on TV. Riighttt.
I can say it's interesting living in these times. I've VERY excited for the upcoming Consecration of the world. I wonder what will happen? Maybe he will suprise us and consecrate Russia. After all, Pope Francis is a Pope of suprises as we all know!
Welcome back, Emmett! Hope you had a good and relaxing time.
God bless!

Emmett feel free to gurge if the following takes up too much space and you don't want it.
Relating to the cultural war and brewing world war excerpts from E. Michael Jones’ Cultural Jihad in Tehran highlighting Zionist West being resisted by Iranians (book available on Kindle for a low sum):
"America's Zionist-controlled government is hostile to Iran, not because it possesses or wants to possess nuclear weapons, but because it has taken control of its own culture in a way that the West still finds both puzzling, dramatic, and, ultimately, an affront to everything the regime preaches, from sodomy to usury. This is probably the reasoning behind the recent release of Argo, the recent CIA propaganda film demonizing Iranians and lionizing Hollywood Jews. Argo is a perverse tribute to how unsettling the American elites continue to find this successful provincial uprising against their universal cultural hegemony. The message of Argo is what you would expect from the Masonic republic of America. Americans are deceivers.
Ben Affleck moves blithely from one deception to another; he forges visas; he is involved in the production of a phony film, which is produced by Hollywood, America's propaganda ministry. He teaches the hostages how to deceive their captors. He coaches everyone in deception, and because of this we are to recognize him as an American hero. The recent release of Argo is some indication that Americans are still trying to explain what happened. They found the Iranian Revolution of 1979 puzzling for a number of reasons. In fact, they are still puzzled by it. If what happened in the '60s was the "sexual revolution" leading to "freedom," then what happened in Iran in 1979 was clearly something else. It was a counter-revolution. In fact, it was a sexual counter-revolution.
At a time when most Islamic revolutions seemed destined to go from oppression to anarchy in the wake of the Arab Spring, the Iranian revolution still stands as an example of a people who successfully broke the yoke of Jewish-American cultural hegemony and then, in spite of the turbulence of the early years and the devastation wrought by the eight-year long war with Iraq, successfully rolled back the sexualized culture of the '60s without succumbing to anarchy or a new form of dictatorship. There is no separation of Church and State in the Shi'a version of Islam, but there Imam Khomeini was able to keep the Iranian revolution under control because he was able to exercise both political and spiritual authority at a crucial moment in Iran's history. If he had not been able to wield both swords, that of the emperor and the pope simultaneously, Iran would probably look a lot like what Egypt looks like today. Iran is the only country in the world which has conducted a successful counter-revolution against the American-Zionist Imperium and lived to tell the tale.
The idea that the Islamic revolution of 1979 was the Iranian version of the global sexual counter-revolution explains an event that the Americans found particularly puzzling, namely, the spectacle of Iranians burning down their own movie theaters and birth control clinics. During the 1970s, Iranians were subjected to a film- and TV-based barrage of sexual imagery, whose main purpose was the pacification and demoralization of the country…part of the Shah/CIA attempt to turn the Iranians into sexual robots and docile consumers.
(Re using sex as a form of political control) When Iranians recognized that sexual liberation was a form of political control, they burned down their own movie theaters. Fifty years earlier, Catholic reaction to Hollywood's sexualization of American culture had been boycotts. Instead of burning their movie theaters down, American Catholics boycotted them under the leadership of Philadelphia's Cardinal Dougherty and the Legion of Decency. After meeting with Hollywood moguls during the height of the boycott in 1934, Joseph Breen claimed that Harry Warner, head of Warner Brothers studios, was "crying tears as big as horse turds" because his theaters were losing $100,000 a week in Philadelphia alone. Eventually Breen became head of the first Hollywood Production Code, which allowed Catholics to keep nudity, obscenity and blasphemy off of America's movie screens (until the 1960’s).
Even if the realization occurred 40 years apart, both American Catholics and Iranian Muslims came to the same conclusion: film was an integral part of the sexual revolution. The purpose of sexual liberation was the destruction of the nation's moral fiber as a prelude to sophisticated totalitarian control.
When the Israeli military rolled into Ramallah in the West Bank on March 30, 2002, one of the first things they did was take over Palestinian TV stations (bombarding innocent people and children with porn). The majority of the world's people are subject to a global culture which is dominated by Jews and American elites who devote much of their energies to mocking the religions of that majority and undermining their morals. Iran has taken a leadership role in rolling back this cultural offensive and is happy to bring together people from all over the world to collaborate with them in liberating themselves from predatory global culture.
The Iranians have desexualized the culture after Khomeini's revolution. They have removed sex from the public sphere and put it back into the private sphere where it belongs."
Excerpts from Cultural Jihad in Tehran by E.Michael Jones.
Jamey,
"Sorry Hannah, I don’t quite get the first 2 lines in your post ;-)"
Haha. ;D
This is kind of random, but when I found it, it dawned on me...
“I have never changed. I have preached and done what the Church has always taught. I have never changed what the Church said in the Council of Trent and at the First Vatican Council. So who has changed? It is the enemy, as Pope St. Pius X said, the enemy who is working within the Church because he wants the Church to be FINISHED with her tradition.” (Archbishop Lefebvre, Homily, Venice, April 7, 1980)
It dawned on me that this is why we have to undergo a 'silent martyrdom' if you will. For it's true that traditionalists are despised in the Church today yet we are the true friends of the people, as Pope St. Pius X said. All these years have been a TEST for those who are truly Catholic. My dad says we're under the Judgment of God. I believe him... Will we always remain faithful? Or will we accept novelty and innovation?
Anyway, just a thought. Hope you've been doing well, my brother. :)
God bless!

MESSAGE FROM OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
TO HIS BELOVED DAUGHTER LIGHT OF MARY
AUGUST 7, 2013
My beloved, My People:
I COME SOON, I COME IN MY SECOND COMING FOR MY FAITHFUL.
I come for those who have fought to remain beside Me.
I come for the obedient, for the simple and humble, for those who have fallen but have gotten up, for those who in the midst of tribulation have not lost Faith.
I come for those who have known how to see, through the circumstances of life, that My Will always prevails and that My Ways are not man’s ways.
I come for My Church.
I come for those who have been purified.
I come for those who have remained willing, instant to instant, at My Service.
I come for those who have told Me Yes.
I come for those who have repented, for those who have turned away from what is worldly and have swum against the current of the world.
I come for those who, without being embarrassed by Me, have professed their Faith in every instant.
BUT BEFORE MY SECOND COMING, MY PURITY WILL TOUCH THE CONSCIENCE
OF ALL HUMAN BEINGS SO THAT THEY SEE THEMSELVES.
They will be difficult instants for each one of you, but necessary so that you truly see yourselves, without pretense. They will be instants that seem to be an eternity and that without being eternal, you will be able to scrutinize to the bottom of your soul. Everything that man guards as a secret within himself, will appear before himself in his conscience.
Woe to those who have persecuted My People!
Woe to those who have desecrated My Temple!
Woe to those who have helped to impoverish and ruin the youth!
Woe to those adults who without controlling themselves, have been a reason for scandal and bad witness for children!
Woe to those who have used the knowledge with which I have endowed them to cause the death of My People!
Woe to those who believing themselves to be doctors in the spirit, have been a source of scandal and have turned My poor children away from My side!
I come for those who have welcomed the humble, the poor and the simple.
I COME SOON, I COME SOON WITH MY LOVE AND MY PURITY TO TOUCH MAN’S CONSCIENCE.
In the midst of this impoverished humanity, I come soon to illuminate the conscience of those who are Mine to prepare them for the instants, which will cease to be instants, because they will be long days of tribulation in the clutches of the antichrist.
How many await him without recognizing that his tentacles have possessed all of humanity! They wait for him as a person and already he operates, not silently, but loudly through the powerful who raise his empire.
How many remain at his service forgetting Me!
How many, wanting to dominate humanity and keep power in their hands, have given themselves over being only his slaves because this spawn of evil will never yield any power to any human being!
He will drag the weak of spirit, the foolish, those who not listening to My Word, hate Me and have taken the spirit of evil as their guide.
My beloved People:
Man does not live by bread alone. You worry so much about the necessities of each day, you worry so much about your homes, and I do not call you to neglect them but to not put your strength and your full time into that which is material. Why do you not strive to grow in the spirit, in knowing Me, in remaining close to Me and in allowing Me to act in your lives without placing barriers.
Cleanse your soul, separate it from the attachments the world offers you, from the distractions the world offers you. I guide the path of those who are Mine and when the paths seem to close, it is because I separated you from what is worldly and am opening the doors of My Will for you to welcome you and seize you fully. ...

Hi Hannah,
Anyone who has held to Church teaching the way it has always generally been taught no doubt have undergone silent martyrdom and this time from those inside the Church, often the upper hierarchy. Unfortunately the orthodox Catholic be thrown under the umbrella of extreme types like Fr Feeney who at times denied baptism of desire or Jansenists.
Emmett,
I am still very interested in the Fr Villa Third Secret. What is your opinion? The major objection I can see is many believe the Third Secret (suppressed) begins with the words "In Portugal the dogma of the faith will be preserved etc". Do you think this is certainty?
The reason I am very interested in part because if a fraud I think they would have contained different words than the first two lines. However upon deeper inspection the first two lines make perfect sense. Fr Villa also has runs on the board with the Von Hildebrand's testimony.
"A great chastisement will fall on the entire human race; not today as yet, not tomorrow, but in the second half of the Twentieth Century.
No longer does order reign anywhere and Satan will reign over the highest places directing the course of events. He (Satan) really will succeed in infiltrating to the top of the Church.
Also for the Church a time of Her greatest trials will come. Cardinals will oppose Cardinals; Bishops will oppose Bishops and Satan will march amid their ranks, and in Rome there will be changes. What is rotten will fall, and what will fall will never rise again.
The Church will be darkened and the world deranged by terror.
A great war will break out within the second half of the Twentieth Century. Fire and smoke will fall from Heaven, the water of the oceans will become vapors and the foam will rise up flooding and sinking everything. Millions and millions of people will die by the hour and the survivors will envy the dead.
Death will reign everywhere for the errors committed by the foolish and by the partisans of Satan, who, then and only then, will reign over the world. At last, those who will survive all of these events will once more proclaim God and His Glory and serve Him like before, when
the world was not so corrupted."
This is a very interesting blog
Have any of you read The Broken Cross by Piers Compton - well respected English journalist for The Universe in the 1980s. His investigation lead to horrors and his book was mysteriously removed from all the bookshops. But it is now free on-line. Fully anotated. Makes sense of all the madness that has been happening in the last 50+ years. A eyeopener
Jamey - as well as the absence of "In Portugal the dogma of the faith will always be preserved etc." the other main objection would be the fact that there was no great war that broke out in the second half of the 20th century. Unless this is to be equated with the war that Sr. Lucia said was averted by the consecration in 1984 - but this seems unlikely. Also we would have to dismiss Fulda in this instance, given that there is no mention to the massive flooding that was detailed there. Even Card. Bertone believed that the words attributed to John Paul II at Fulda were genuine, and he is one of the very few people who we know has DEFINITELY read the entirety of the material concerning Fatima. If there was anything said at Fulda which didn't mesh with this, then surely it would have raised a big flag to him.
Hi Dominie!
I haven't read that book yet...
Jamey,
Just curious; are you a Putin fan?
charles
Many thanks Emmett and good to see you here again. I thought it did allude to the flooding mentioned at Fulda:
"Fire and smoke will fall from Heaven, the water of the oceans will become vapors and the foam will rise up flooding and sinking everything. Millions and millions of people will die by the hour and the survivors will envy the dead."
Also I do think those chastisements have happened. The first half of the message seems to allude to spiritual matters whilst the second half physical chastisements. To me the great chastisement that will fall on the human race in the second part of the twentieth century in the first half of the msg could very well allude to the spiritual chastisement and decimation of the Catholic Church (Bishop Sheen said God punishes the Church before punishing the world). Bob Sungenis once wrote an interesting article how the ambiguity of VII was a chastisement in itself and then we have the New Mass..
The second half of the message has a Great War will break out in the latter half of the Twentieth Century, I think this could well refer to the Cold War, something that is not yet finished despite appearances for a couple of decades. This could very well be in line with Sr Aiello's "Russia and her secret armies will overcome the West".
Charles, to be honest I don't know exactly what Putin is thinking or planning. I do like his style though for example those women desecrating the high altar being thrown in jail, to gay union rights activists being arrested and the way he implicitly tells the wicked West go and get stuffed, and they can't and wouldn't dare do a thing to him.
I had just noticed you had changed your avatar. I don't know what to make of him . Some other blogs liked his new image so much they believed him and the changing Russia as a sign that Russia had converted. I don't buy it though.
" ...foam will rise up flooding and sinking everything. Millions and millions of people will die by the hour and the survivors will envy the dead." Sounds similar to what JPII stated. And what Chiappi stated the great apostasy will begin at the top, which has spread throughout the church. I can't help but think what Lucy had to go through writing the 3rd secret with incredible difficulty. Can you imagine writing down that millions upon millions will fall into hell because they neglected their faith. Or what Malachi Martin said that the churches would be filled if they knew the secret. Just thinking.
charles
Hi Charles,
I thought Vlad fighting and conquering would be a more appropriate avatar. Likewise as you I am quite suspicious of his motives.
The suppressed part of the Third Secret is supposedly 20-25 lines. This one is 20 lines. Someone with knowledge could obviously tailor a secret to that effect but it does have things going for it. The similarities to Neues Europa which had a certain level of backing from Ottaviani and then some things that were almost verbatim to the later approved Akita.
By the far the most terrifying part of the Third Secret is the spiritual carnage and souls going to Hell. A painful physical death is not even a grain of sand to ending up in Hades. Most I know have turned away from the faith. The best I can hope it seems is get them blessed scapulars that they can have in their homes and if all hell does break loose, put them on and will explain the purpose of all this. Maybe some more tidal waves, floodings, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes will awake people from their spiritual torpor.
Indeed as Mr Salza points out what is in the Third Secret probably has no precedent in history, that is the destruction of the Church starting from the top to the extent witnessed and corroborated by the above Kenneth C. Jones indicators. The barely mentioned Hell from pulpits and the new theology infecting the Church has meant a certain indifference to the gravity of sin and ultimately ending up in Hell as most think it is only reserved for the Hitler types. Then we have most nde's and phony apparitions which seem to support the new theology. This is another diabolical assault and testing of spirits of this age.
It should also be noted the Fr Villa Third Message finishes in the same vein as Quito, that the Church will return to what it was.
Dominie,
Many thanks for the link to Piers Compton's book, it is fascinating reading.
"The pontificate of Pius XII (1939-58) found the Church in a highly flourishing condition. It was exerting its legitimate effect upon the Western world. More and more people were acquiring a fuller realisation, or at least a glimmering, of the Catholic ideal. In England an average of ten thousand people yearly, and in the United States some seventy thousand in one year alone, were said to have ‘gone over’ to Rome; and these converts included not a few who could be classified as prominent in various walks of life.
Entire houses of Anglican religious, who had favoured High Church practices, sometimes followed suit. The record number of those training to be priests and nuns promised well for the Church’s future. The tide of opposition, resulting from the Reformation was on the turn. The signs of Catholic revival were spreading throughout a most unexpected quarter – the Englishspeaking world."
The American Church also exploded in the 40's and 50's something Bishop Lefebvre described as spectacular but not solid hence the later falling away. My concern is that we have already seen the flourishing and then are now in another falling away that will see the rise of the Antichrist. The world is almost cherry ripe for the Antichrist with all the Hate laws and persecution of Christianity lifestyle that are being exhibited, as well as consideration of Emmett's theory re the mark of the beast which may not be far away.
Jamey, I tend to agree with Fr Gobbi version of the mark of the beast, and not the nonsense of a chip. Our technology has already advanced to a point where even the chip is no longer a novelty. It's what we do with our minds and actions that determine if we carry the mark. And the mark is sin. As for the Antichrist, it's already here. I just read Pat Buchanan's latest article, and he's right about Islam. There is a very big possibility they take control of the world. The West's culture of anti Christianity will only energize Islam. The False prophet has always been Mohammad. Mix this False prophet with the error of "practical atheism which has spread throughout humanity," and we have the New World Order Antichrist. We are seeing it happen right before our eyes. An alliance between radical Islam and the leftist's in both Europe and America. It will take divine intervention to fight off these two errors and win. Which is why some believe the "Warning" is soon to come.
