When Pope Francis visited Ireland for the World
Meeting of Families in August 2018, his visit to the shrine of Our Lady of
Knock coincided with one of the most remarkable attacks on a pontiff by a
high-ranking member of the Catholic hierarchy in recent Church history.
Archbishop Vigano, the former papal nuncio to the United States, had alleged
that Pope Francis played a pivotal role in covering up the sexual abuse scandal
surrounding Cardinal McCarrick, and called on the Holy Father to abdicate from
the papacy.
As we shall see, the fact that this accusation against Pope Francis was timed to directly coincide with his visit to the shrine of Our Lady of Knock appears to be of major prophetic importance concerning the end of the period of Satan's greater foreseen in the vision of Pope Leo XIII. The whole point of Satan's period of greater power is framed so that at the conclusion of this diabolical assault against the Church, the Devil could then stand before Christ's representative on earth and point to the stains that have sullied the papal cassock. The role of "Devils advocate" in this instance, as a figure within the Church who would point to these stains, seems to have been undertaken by Archbishop Vigano.

Throughout the course of my previous research on this
subject, I have attempted to explain how the symbolism of the Knock shrine
heavily alludes to a scene in the Divine Throne Room described in the third
chapter of the Book of Zechariah. Alongside the story of Job and the
description of the unbinding of Satan at the end of the thousand years in Rev
20, Zech 3 forms the immediate scriptural basis for the vision of the period of
Satan's greater power foreseen by Pope Leo XIII. One of the most striking
images of Zech 3 is that of the High Priest Joshua being accused by Satan in
the Divine Throne Room - which is the primary location suggested by the
symbolism of the Knock apparition itself.
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest
standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to
accuse him. And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, O Satan! The LORD
who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the
fire?” Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments.
And the angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove the filthy
garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity
away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.” And I said, “Let
them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head
and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD was standing by.
And the angel of the LORD solemnly assured Joshua, “Thus says the LORD of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and keep my charge, then you shall rule my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you the right of access among those who are standing here. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign: behold, I will bring my servant the Branch. For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its inscription, declares the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day. In that day, declares the LORD of hosts, every one of you will invite his neighbor to come under his vine and under his fig tree.”

The above vision of the sullied robes of the High
Priest Joshua (representing the pope as Pontifex Maximus) being removed and
replaced with clean garments described in the Book of Zechariah is also heavily
alluded to in St. John Bosco's March of the 200 Days:
Things follow too slowly upon each other,
but the great Queen of Heaven is at hand; the Lord's power is Hers. Like mist
She shall scatter Her enemies. She shall vest the Venerable Old Man with all
his former garments. There shall yet come a violent hurricane. Iniquity is at
an end, sin shall cease, and before two full moons shall have shone in the
month of flowers, the rainbow of peace shall appear on the earth. The great
Minister shall see the Bride of his King clothed in glory. Throughout the world
a sun so bright shall shine as was never seen since the flames of the Cenacle
until today, nor shall it be seen again until the end of time...
(Biographical Memoirs)
I have written about the importance of the 1879 Irish
apparition in relation to the Divine Throne Room before in the post The
Prophetic Symbolism of Our Lady of Knock, and its significance plays a key
role in my book as a marking point of the opening of the scroll sealed with
seven seals - which I argue is specifically linked with the beginning of the
short time given to Satan at the end of the "thousand years"
described in Rev 20. In turn, I linked the short time of Satan described in the
Apocalypse with Pope Leo XIII's famous vision of the period of Satan's greater
power, which began at the turn of the 20th century, and concludes around our
own time.
It will be worth recapping the most important aspects
of my material on Our Lady of Knock before moving on to take on board some new
considerations which also help to bolster my theory that this apparition is
directly associated with the period of Satan's greater power - which was
announced to Pope Leo XIII between 5-7 years after this apparition took place.
The Knock apparition itself clearly alludes to the opening of the scroll sealed
with seven seals described in Rev 5, since it is central focus lies on the Lamb
of Revelation, with an image of St. John (the author of the Apocalypse)
directing the attention of his audience to an open book he holds in his hands
(the scroll of Revelation?). In Rev 5, the Lamb is permitted to open the scroll
sealed with sevens, which sets in motion the events of the Apocalypse itself -
beginning with the unleashing of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
As I argue at length in my book Unveiling the Apocalypse: The Final Passover of
the Church, the release of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who are
summoned fourth by the Four Living Creatures, is recapitulated later in the
Book of Revelation by the four angels who are bound at the River Euphrates in
order to kill a third of "the people". Once we compare this verse
with the various other scriptural allusions contained in this passage, we find
that it is a third of the Jewish people who are to be killed by the appearance
of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (see the earlier post on this subject
here).
As I demonstrate in the book, it is quite likely that
Pope Leo XIII had himself connected his famous prophetic vision of a period of
greater power being given over to the Devil with the period of the unbinding of
Satan described in Rev 20. Furthermore, it is quite likely that Pope Leo XIII
also connected his consecration of the entire human race to the Sacred Heart of
Jesus in the year 1899 with the impending period of Satan's greater power. Pope
Leo XIII had himself described this consecration as the "greatest act of
my pontificate", and took this action in direct response to a request made
by Christ to Bl. Mary of the Divine Heart. Below is a short excerpt from
Wikipedia concerning the events which eventually led to the consecration of the
world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus:
On June 10, 1898, her confessor at the
Good Shepherd monastery wrote to Pope
Leo XIII stating that Sister Mary of the Divine Heart had received a
message from Christ, requesting the pope to consecrate the entire world to the
Sacred Heart. The pope initially did not believe her and took no action.
However, on January 6, 1899, she wrote another letter, asking that in addition
to the consecration, the first Fridays of the month be observed in honor of the
Sacred Heart. In the letter she also referred to the recent illness of the pope
and stated that Christ had assured her that Pope Leo XIII would live until he
had performed the consecration to the Sacred Heart. Theologian Laurent Volken
states that this had an emotional impact on Leo XIII, despite the theological
issues concerning the consecration of non-Christians.
Pope Leo XIII commissioned an inquiry on
the basis of her revelation and Church tradition. In his 1899 encyclical letter
Annum
sacrum, Leo XIII decreed that the consecration of the entire human race to
the Sacred Heart of Jesus should take place on June 11, 1899. In the encyclical
Leo referred to the illness about which Sister Mary had written, stating:
"There is one further reason that urges us to realize our design: We do
not want it to pass by unnoticed. It is personal in nature but just as
important: God the author of all Good has saved us by healing us recently from
a dangerous disease."
Pope Leo XIII also composed the Prayer of Consecration to
the Sacred Heart and included it in the encyclical. Pope Pius
X later decreed that this consecration of the human race performed by Pope
Leo XIII be renewed each year.
According to St. Augustine, there were two possible
interpretations of the duration of the Millennium. St. Augustine viewed that
starting point of both possibilities as beginning from the original binding of
Satan, which was won by Christ on the Cross of Calvary. The second suggestion
made by St. Augustine is the line which is usually associated with amillennialism
- that the binding of Satan would last for a symbolic thousand year period
lasting from the time of Christ right up until near the end of the world. St.
Augustine's first suggestion is a lot more specific though, and can even be
used to determine the general time period in which the unbinding of Satan would
take place. The first proposal forwarded by St. Augustine (indicating that he
gave this interpretation precedence) was that the binding of Satan won by
Christ on the Cross would last until the time of the Sabbath Millennium
discussed by the Early Church Fathers, when he would be released for his
"little while".
The Early Church Fathers were convinced that the
biblical chronology yielded a prophetic significance relating to a "Great
Week" of millennia. St. Peter had described the timing of the end of the
world in the context of a day being equated with a thousand years, which taken
to its natural conclusion, would point to a prophetic week of millennia:
Above all, you must understand that in the
last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors
died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they
deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and
the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world
of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens
and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and
destruction of the ungodly. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends:
With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a
day. (2 Pet 3:3-8)
Many Church Fathers had proposed that the timing of the
Sabbath Millennium (or sixth millennium in the biblical chronology) could
potentially be used to establish the date of the return of Christ. St.
Augustine put an additional twist on this concept, and forwarded the novel
suggestion that the timing of the Sabbath Millennium was instead actually
related to the "thousand year" period mentioned in the Apocalypse
concerning the period of the unbinding of Satan:
The Lord Jesus Christ Himself says, No man
can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind
the strong man — meaning by the strong man the devil, because he had power to
take captive the human race; and meaning by his goods which he was to take,
those who had been held by the devil in various sins and iniquities, but were
to become believers in Himself. It was then for the binding of this strong one
that the apostle saw in the Apocalypse an angel coming down from heaven, having
the key of the abyss, and a chain in his hand. And he laid hold, he says, on
the dragon, that old serpent, which is called the devil and Satan, and bound
him a thousand years,— that is, bridled and restrained his power so that he
could not seduce and gain possession of those who were to be freed.
Now the thousand years may be understood in two ways, so far as occurs to me: either because these things happen in the sixth thousand of years or sixth millennium (the latter part of which is now passing), as if during the sixth day, which is to be followed by a Sabbath which has no evening, the endless rest of the saints, so that, speaking of a part under the name of the whole, he calls the last part of the millennium— the part, that is, which had yet to expire before the end of the world— a thousand years; or he used the thousand years as an equivalent for the whole duration of this world, employing the number of perfection to mark the fullness of time. (City of God XX:7)

(City of God XX:7)
Here, St. Augustine opines that the end of the
“thousand years” mentioned in Rev 20 may be equated with the end of the Sabbath
Millennium discussed by the Early Church Fathers. This view was subsequently
largely overlooked, since many of the Church Fathers held that the Sabbath
Millennium would come to an end circa AD500, at the end of a six thousand year
period after the biblical date of creation determined by the chronology of the
Greek Septuagint version of the Old Testament (the LXX). As the original
various dates calculated for the end of the Sabbath Millennium circa AD500 came
and went without any possible applications for this first interpretation, St.
Augustine’s second proposal (that the thousand years symbolises an indefinite
period extending from the time of Christ to the unbinding of Satan towards the
end of the world), became the most widely accepted version of the amillennialist
approach.
However, writing in the 8th century, the Church Doctor
St. Bede the Venerable noted that the reckoning of the biblical chronology
yields a vastly different result when using the Masoretic text of the Hebrew
Bible, differing by a period of around 1,500 years from the date of creation
(Anno Mundi). St. Bede proposed that this version of biblical chronology, which
he used to revise the date of creation to circa 3952BC, was the most accurate,
since it was derived from the “Hebrew truth” of the original Jewish Bible,
rather than its Greek counterpart. St. Bede’s method for determining the
chronology of the Hebrew Bible was further refined by the Anglican Archbishop
James Ussher, who working from the various genealogies given in the Bible,
established the date of creation to 4004BC.
If we view the primary value of this date to be
prophetic in nature (rather than providing us with a literal date for
creation), this revised version of the biblical chronology has enormous
implications for St. Augustine’s first suggestion concerning the meaning of the
end of the “thousand years” in Rev 20 and how this ties into the patristic idea
of a Sabbath Millennium. It puts the period of the unbinding of Satan at the
end of the “thousand years” directly within the scope of Pope Leo XIII’s vision
of the Devil being granted a time of greater power in order to test the Church.
Given the fact that St. Bede the Venerable was
proclaimed a Doctor of the Church by Pope Leo XIII at the turn of the 20th
century on Nov 13th, 1899, it invites us to ponder whether this action was
linked in any way to this saint’s influence on the revision of the Anno Mundi
calendar. The prophetic implications of Bede’s chronology cannot be overstated.
Not only did it recalibrate the timing of the conclusion of the Sabbath
Millennium to the modern era, but once combined with St. Augustine’s hypothesis
presented above, it could also be used to indicate that the period of the
unbinding of Satan would begin to unfold in the modern era. Is it possible that
Pope Leo XIII was aware of these implications? If the Holy Father had
interpreted his famous vision within the context of the period of the unbinding
of Satan at the end of the thousand years in Rev 20, we could conclude that his
raising of St. Bede to the status of Church Doctor on the very eve of the 20th
century was a deliberate action intended to reflect his influence on
determining the prophetic significance of the Sabbath Millennium to fit in with
this exact timeframe.
The timing of the appearance of the Knock apparition
in such close proximity to Pope Leo XIII's vision of the period of Satan's
greater power is also noteworthy in itself. As we shall see, the Knock
apparition has additional layers of depth which connects it directly with one of
the primary scriptural influences which is alluded to in the vision of Pope Leo
XIII.
Very few attempts have been made to explain the
symbolism of the Knock apparition, which is ripe in apocalyptic imagery. One of
the major interpretative keys to understanding the symbolism of the Knock
apparition is the depiction of the angels ascending and descending upon the
Paschal Lamb. This imagery is directly lifted from the dream vision experienced
by the Patriarch Jacob, who saw a ladder reaching up to heaven with angels
ascending and descending upon it:
Jacob left Beersheba and went toward
Haran. And he came to a certain place and stayed there that night, because the
sun had set. Taking one of the stones of the place, he put it under his head
and lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed, and
behold, there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to
heaven. And behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it! And
behold, the Lord stood above it and said, “I am the Lord, the God of Abraham
your father and the God of Isaac. The land on which you lie I will give to you
and to your offspring. Your offspring shall be like the dust of the earth, and
you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the
south, and in you and your offspring shall all the families of the earth be
blessed. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will
bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I
have promised you.” Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord
is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was afraid and said, “How
awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is
the gate of heaven.”
So early in the morning Jacob took the
stone that he had put under his head and set it up for a pillar and poured oil
on the top of it. He called the name of that place Bethel,[d] but the name of the city was Luz at the
first. Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will keep me
in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and clothing to wear,
so that I come again to my father's house in peace, then the Lord
shall be my God, and this stone, which I have set up for a
pillar, shall be God's house. And of all that you give me I will give a full
tenth to you.”
(Gen 28:10-22)
In the Knock apparition, the imagery of Jacob's Ladder
was substituted by the Lamb of God, showing that the gateway to Heaven is only
made possible through the Paschal Sacrifice won on the Cross at Calvary. The
account of Jacob's pillow is already important in Irish folklore, due to the
claims that Jacob's pillow stone was brought to Ireland by the Prophet
Jeremiah, and was linked to the Stone of Scone. According to some apocryphal
accounts usually associated with British Israelitism, Jacob's pillow stone was
used to crown the kings of Ireland before being brought to Scotland by Robert
the Bruce in the 13th century. The legends concerning Jacob's pillow being
brought to Ireland are most likely of little or no importance to the
understanding the links between the Knock apparition and Jacob's dream however.
Instead of looking to obscure Irish legends for explaining the imagery of the
Knock apparition, we find that the most salient motifs are rooted elsewhere in
Sacred Scripture, most notably in Rev 5 and Zech 3 - the latter of which forms
one of the primary scriptural sources for the prophetic vision of Pope Leo XIII
(alongside the story of the Prophet Job).
In Rev 5, there is a strong allusion to the
significance of the mysterious stone with seven eyes described in Zechariah 3,
in the fact that the Lamb of Revelation also bears the curious attribute of
seven eyes (which represents the sevenfold spirit). So the Lamb of the
Apocalypse is undoubtedly associated with the stone with seven eyes described
in the Book of Zechariah, and it is this capacity which can see the area of
overlap between the Lamb and the stone of Jacob's pillow in the Knock
apparition.
Then I saw in the right hand of him who
was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with
seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is
worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” And no one in heaven or on
earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, and I
began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to
look into it. And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion
of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open
the scroll and its seven seals.”
And between the throne and the four living
creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been
slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God
sent out into all the earth. And he went and took the scroll from
the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. And when
he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders
fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of
incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a
new song, saying,
“Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its
seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you
ransomed people for God from every tribe
and language and people and nation, and
you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall
reign on the earth.”
Then I looked, and I heard around the
throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels,
numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and
might and honor and glory and blessing!”
And I heard every creature in heaven and
on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the
Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever!”And the four living creatures said,
“Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
(Rev 5)
With its vision of angels ascending and descending
upon the Lamb of God, the Knock apparition thus ties together the stone of
Jacob's pillar with the stone with seven eyes in Zech 3 - which is further
revealed as representing the Lamb with seven eyes in Rev 5. The cues provided
by the Knock apparition thus provides us with an interpretative key to
understanding the opening of the seven seals described in the Apocalypse, which
is recapitulated in the period of the unbinding of Satan described in Rev 20.
The material contained in chapter 3 of the Book of Zechariah concerning the
bringing forth of the stone with seven eyes therefore provides us with several
additional insight into the unfolding of prophetic events during the short time
of Satan, which is focused on the sullied robes of the Pontifex Maximus and
Satan's accusations being levelled against Christ's Vicar on earth.
As I have already explained in the post Pope
Benedict XVI on the Chronology of Apocalyptic Events, the soiled garments
of the Jewish High Priest Joshua in Zech 3 is alluded to in the visions of St.
Hildegard of Bingen. Here the defilement of the Church in the period of
apostasy towards the end of time was represented pictorially as stains on the
gown of the Bride of Christ, and Pope Benedict XVI specifically linked these
visions with the modern sexual abuse crisis and certain comments made by Sr.
Lucia on the significance of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima:
We were all the more dismayed, then, when
in this year of all years and to a degree we could not have imagined, we came
to know of abuse of minors committed by priests who twist the sacrament into
its antithesis, and under the mantle of the sacred profoundly wound human
persons in their childhood, damaging them for a whole lifetime.
In this context, a vision of Saint Hildegard of Bingen came to my mind, a vision which describes in a shocking way what we have lived through this past year. “In the year of our Lord’s incarnation 1170, I had been lying on my sick-bed for a long time when, fully conscious in body and in mind, I had a vision of a woman of such beauty that the human mind is unable to comprehend. She stretched in height from earth to heaven. Her face shone with exceeding brightness and her gaze was fixed on heaven. She was dressed in a dazzling robe of white silk and draped in a cloak, adorned with stones of great price. On her feet she wore shoes of onyx. But her face was stained with dust, her robe was ripped down the right side, her cloak had lost its sheen of beauty and her shoes had been blackened. And she herself, in a voice loud with sorrow, was calling to the heights of heaven, saying, ‘Hear, heaven, how my face is sullied; mourn, earth, that my robe is torn; tremble, abyss, because my shoes are blackened!’
And she continued: ‘I lay hidden in the heart of the Father until the Son of Man, who was conceived and born in virginity, poured out his blood. With that same blood as his dowry, he made me his betrothed.
For my Bridegroom’s wounds remain fresh and open as long as the wounds of men’s sins continue to gape. And Christ’s wounds remain open because of the sins of priests. They tear my robe, since they are violators of the Law, the Gospel and their own priesthood; they darken my cloak by neglecting, in every way, the precepts which they are meant to uphold; my shoes too are blackened, since priests do not keep to the straight paths of justice, which are hard and rugged, or set good examples to those beneath them. Nevertheless, in some of them I find the splendour of truth.’
And I heard a voice from heaven which said: ‘This image represents the Church. For this reason, O you who see all this and who listen to the word of lament, proclaim it to the priests who are destined to offer guidance and instruction to God’s people and to whom, as to the apostles, it was said: go into all the world and preach the Gospel to the whole creation’ (Mk 16:15)” (Letter to Werner von Kirchheim and his Priestly Community: PL 197, 269ff.).
In the vision of Saint Hildegard, the face of the Church is stained with dust, and this is how we have seen it. Her garment is torn – by the sins of priests. The way she saw and expressed it is the way we have experienced it this year. We must accept this humiliation as an exhortation to truth and a call to renewal.

Now notice the similarities here between the words of
the Holy Father and those of Sr. Lucia during her interview with Fr. Fuentes:
Sister Lucy also told me: "Father,
the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Blessed
Virgin. And the devil knows what it is that offends God the most, and which in
a short space of time will gain for him the greatest number of souls. Thus the
devil does everything to overcome souls consecrated to God, because in this way
the devil will succeed in leaving the souls of the faithful abandoned by their
leaders, thereby the more easily will he seize them."
"That which afflicts the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Heart of Jesus is the fall of religious and priestly souls. The devil knows that religious and priests who fall away from their beautiful vocation drag numerous souls to hell. The devil wishes to take possession of consecrated souls. He tries to corrupt them in order to lull to sleep the souls of laypeople and thereby lead them to final impenitence. He employs all tricks, even going so far as to suggest the delay of entrance into religious life. Resulting from this is the sterility of the interior life, and among the laypeople, coldness (lack of enthusiasm) regarding the subject of renouncing pleasures and the total dedication of themselves to God."

A connection between these words of Sr. Lucia and St.
Hildegard's vision of "filth" within the Church clearly seems to have
been on Pope Benedict's mind here, since he uses basically the same themes and
symbolism during his visit to Fatima in 2010:
"As for the new things which we can
find in this message today, there is also the fact that attacks on the Pope and
the Church come not only from without, but the sufferings of the Church come
precisely from within the Church, from the sin existing within the Church. This
too is something that we have always known, but today we are seeing it in a
really terrifying way: that the greatest persecution of the Church comes not
from her enemies without, but arises from sin within the Church, and that the
Church thus has a deep need to relearn penance, to accept purification, to
learn forgiveness on the one hand, but also the need for justice."
Cardinal Ratzinger again alluded to St. Hildegard's
writings describing the current state of the Church as a woman whose garments
are soiled in his famous Way of the Cross sermon in 2005, just before he
ascended the papacy:
"Should we not also think of how much
Christ suffers in his own Church? How often is the holy sacrament of His
Presence abused, how often must he enter empty and evil hearts! How often do we
celebrate only ourselves, without even realizing that he is there! How often is
his Word twisted and misused! What little faith is present behind so many
theories, so many empty words!
How much filth there is in the Church, and even among those who, in the Priesthood, ought to belong entirely to him! How much pride, how much self-complacency!"
How much filth there is in the Church, and even among those who, in the Priesthood, ought to belong entirely to him! How much pride, how much self-complacency!"
"Lord, your Church often seems like a
boat about to sink, a boat taking in water on every side. In your field we see
more weeds than wheat. The soiled garments and face of your Church throw us
into confusion. Yet it is we ourselves who have soiled them! It is we who
betray you time and time again, after all our lofty words and grand gestures.
Have mercy on your Church... You stood up, you arose and you can also raise us
up. Save and sanctify your Church. Save and sanctify us all."
The soiled garments of the Jewish High Priest being
replaced in Zech 3 (who in an eschatological context represents the figure of
the Roman Pontiff) should thus be compared with the visions of St. Hildegard of
Bingen, which are intimately related to the purification of the Church at the
end of time. However the stains on the garments of the Bride of Christ in St.
Hildegard's visions and on the Pontifex Maximus in Zech 3 represents the sins
of priests, and do not reflect the sinfulness of the pope being accused, or
indict him in any way for heresy (which would contradict the doctrine of
indefectibility). In fact the accusations levelled at the visible head of the
Church by the Devil are a satanic deception aimed at destroying the Church from
within - a deception which is rebuked by the Archangel Michael, after which the
time of purification begins.
The fact that this recent accusation against Pope
Francis by Archbishop Vigano occurred at a time when the Holy Father was making
pilgrimage to an apparition site representing the Divine Throne Room depicted
in Rev 5, which is in turn intimately connected with the prophecy of Zech 3 and
the opening of the scroll sealed with seven seals is surely replete with
prophetic significance.
It is no coincidence that Christ's discourse on the binding of the "strong
man" occurred in the immediate context of the appearance of the "Sign
of Jonah" in Matt 12 (which originally took the form of a total solar
eclipse over ancient Nineveh just before Jonah's arrival into the city). Or
that the start of the First World War at the beginning of the period of Satan's
greater power coincided with the appearance of yet another solar eclipse
crossing the site of ancient Nineveh on the feast day of Our Lady of Knock, on
21st August, 1914. The fact that the end of the Sabbath Millennium discussed by
the Early Church Fathers was preceded by a century of genocide foretold in the
vision of Pope Leo XIII leaves us with little room for doubt that the siege of
the camp of the saints at the end of the thousand years mentioned in Rev 20
began to unfold at the opening of the 20th century.
The current age of apostasy we are enduring is the fruit of Satan's unbinding at the end of the thousand years, during which he has managed to blind the minds of unbelievers to the truth of the Gospel (2Cor 4:4), and the love of many had grown cold because of the increase of evil (Matt 24:12). This evil has manifested itself most prevalently within the Church itself in the form of the clerical sexual abuse scandal, which has turned baptised Catholics away from the pews en masse, and sullied the wedding gown of the Bride of Christ.
Now just over a year on from another total solar eclipse which took crossed
America on the feast day of Our Lady of Knock, on 21st August 2017 - the
centenary year of Our Lady of Fatima, one of the most shocking accusations
against a reigning pontiff by a high-ranking prelate in the Catholic Church
took place at the site of the Knock apparition - which represents the Divine
Throne Room seen in Zech 3. This accusation has rocked the Catholic Church in
America, and is symptomatic of the wider rebellion that is being plotted
against the Holy Father by many high-ranking officials in the Church hierarchy.
Just as the sullied robes of the Jewish High Priest are removed and replaced
with fresh linen after Satan makes his accusation against him, we can only hope
and pray that we are on the cusp of the purification of the Church which is
promised to take place before the coming of the Antichrist.
As Pope Francis has himself addressed the bishops yesterday, on 11th Sept 2018:
“In these times, it seems like the 'Great Accuser' has been unchained and is attacking bishops. True, we are all sinners, we bishops. He tries to uncover the sins, so they are visible in order to scandalize the people. The 'Great Accuser', as he himself says to God in the first chapter of the Book of Job, 'roams the earth looking for someone to accuse'. A bishop’s strength against the 'Great Accuser' is prayer, that of Jesus and his own, and the humility of being chosen and remaining close to the people of God, without seeking an aristocratic life that removes this unction. Let us pray, today, for our bishops: for me, for those who are here, and for all the bishops throughout the world.”

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 380 of 380p.s. I know I'm a pretty alarmist type of person at the best of times, but with the new destabilization that the probable Saudi murder of the journalist in Turkey and how that counterbalance against Iran in the Islamic world may be lost, the very real spectre of up to 5 to 6 million people starving to death in Yemen if the current war isn't halted, the new outbreak of ebola in the DR of Congo, the rapidly increased polarization on the left and right of the political spectrum all across the Western liberal democracies, what may happen with the important US elections coming so soon, the increasing discord from both within and without in the Church right when the world needs it the very most, as well as what I posted above, and all of this happening, or at the very least, greatly intensifying, *just* around, and indeed, within just days, of an important anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun... I have a very bad feeling spiritually. I hope I'm just having one of my mental health episodes, but I've had quite a strong sense before Thomas posted above that Pope Francis may be assassinated as well. I sure hope I'm crazy, and just seeing a lot of bad things in the world happening that aren't anything out of the ordinary of the bad things always happening on this planet.
"the Ukronazis will use force (riot police or even Nazi death squads):"
Yeah, I got this far and no further. I have plenty of relatives still in Lviv (fellow Catholics) and have a pretty fair idea of the political situation in Ukraine. I'll withhold any further comment on the article you linked other than saying, thanks but no thanks to this.
This kind of thing is what Saker did for a living before he was blacklisted, so on the one hand you consider he has some level of expertise in analyzing political situations. However, for all his protestations to the contrary, to my eye at least, he comes across as very bitter...not that I can blame him. That sort of thing can feed an alarmist point of view, so Jason, I was glad to hear you got no further than that line about "Ukronazis." I personally think it might be healthier for you to avoid his blog altogether in the future...even I find it depressing, and I'm what the song calls a "cockeyed optimist!" ;D
God bless!
Thanks for that understanding JMC, and for your input on this topic.
I could really get into a pretty in-depth discussion of this (such as whether the ROC/MP ever had any authority over the Orthodox church in Ukraine to begin with: short answer, it never did); if anyone is interested in the specifics, here is a good if rather academic synopsis:
https://www.goarch.org/documents/32058/4830467/The+Ecumenical+Throne+and+the+Church+of+Ukraine+%28ENGLISH%29.pdf/8c509846-38e4-4610-a54e-30121eec77ef
Please don't take this as any sort of argumentum ad verecundiam, or bragging rights, or anything of that sort, it is just to provide some context: I attend Ukrainian Catholic Byzantine-Slavonic Rite Mass at Church of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in my hometown, which is just a few blocks from my more regular Latin Rite parish, Church of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament (English, and if I'm lazy and don't go until Sunday evenings, in Tagalog). As an aside, just to give an idea of the ethnic diversity where I live, where almost no one has roots here that go deeper than great-grandparents except for First Nations and Metis/French, I also attend Mass in both German and Polish if I'm in our provincial capital (and Extraordinary form Traditional Latin Mass at the Monastery of St. John of the Cross if I'm not too lazy to drive the 40 klicks), and for years when I dated a Fransaskois woman, my regular Mass was en Francais. So I guess you could say I get around, and incidentally, if any of you ever have a chance to attend any Catholic Byzantine Rite Masses, the liturgy has a beauty and solemnity that is almost impossible not to be attracted to (there are many older parishioners who aren't even Ukrainian that switched over I'm guessing after the Second Vatican Council).
Just to give an idea of just how *very* Ukrainian my area is, there are more people of Ukrainian ethnicity where I live than *anywhere* else on this entire planet outside of Ukraine and Russia (even more than in southern Poland!), so if I may get a little snippy on this subject I come by it pretty naturally because it hits very close to home; there are about 170 Latin Rite parishes in our Metropolitan Archdiocese and over 70 Byzantine-Slavonic Rite parishes in our Ukrainian Diocese. Ukrainian culture is infused in our holidays, e.g. almost everyone celebrates two Christmases here (yay!).
As far as the recent events being an impediment to Christian unity, pretty much nothing could be further from the truth based on my anecdotal experience, which though cherry-picking, I think direct personal experience is an important source of opinion. Almost every Ukrainian family I know has a mix of Ukrainian Catholic/Ukrainian Orthodox in their immediate or at most extended family. If ever there were to be a bridge that could heal the divisions between East and West, I fully believe this is where that bridge may lie, and I could very much see that being an order of magnitude even closer now that the Ukrainian Orthodox church has being granted "official" ecclesiastical independence from the ROC/MP (which again, it never really was under in the first place, but, brevity and all that).
As an example of one of these religiously blended families, my Aunt Cecile is Ukrainian Catholic, and her husband, my Uncle Oleksiy, is Ukrainian Orthodox (another example, my Uncle Cliff is Latin Rite Catholic and his late wife my Aunt Muriel was Ukrainian Orthodox), and I've attended countless family celebrations, and ceremonies in both her/our Church as well as his church, and how very close in every way they are other than matters of jurisdiction is positively striking.
And people need to understand the horrible, horrible persecution that Ukrainians suffered under Russian domination in general, and the Ukrainian Catholics specifically, dare I say the most persecuted group of Catholics of the 20th century outside of, *possibly* the slaughter during the Spanish Civil War, and with the ROC/MP playing a *major* role in this, maybe the very worst since the Diocletianic Persecution (see: Pope Pius XII's "Orientales omnes Ecclesias", or the heart-wrenching book "The Martyrdom of the Catholic Church in Ukraine" by Fr. Paul Vyshkovsky), and the height of this was not so long ago, during the 40s and 50s, but also leading right up until the break up of the CCCP.
And speaking of which, arghhh, I just cannot bite my tongue any longer: How can any Catholic put their trust in Vladmir Putin, or the Russian Orthodox Church that has been the main seller of his absolutely St. Paul-like story of the biggest persecutor to the great savior of Christendom??? It drives me absolutely bonkers! While people are looking for communists under every rock inside the Vatican, so many of these same folks think Putin is some kind of hero, and that the ROC hasn't always, and continues to up to this very day, gotten every one of their marching orders straight from Lubyanka?? All three of the candidates, besides the previous two Patriarchs of Moscow, before Gundyayev was chosen (including him!!) were verified by three independent sources (the Estonian file, by the former head of the Rumanian version of the KGB Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa, and in the Mitrokhin Archive) as being full-fledged NKVD/KGB/FSB paid agents... NOTE, not informants, which were as common as rain drops, but AGENTS! If anyone has the least shed of doubt of this, you really need to do your homework on how the ROC was an arm of the Communist regime, and if you have any shred of doubt about Gundyayev specifically, look at his history and how he absolutely *tore* up the ranks in the ROC, being the KGB's main agent in the WCC which in the 70s had basically become a Soviet front group.
Believing that people like Gundyayev, Putin, and all the ex-KGB/FSB leadership now in the upper echelons of the Russian government went from being the same people that gave the go-ahead to try and murder Pope St. John Paul, the greatest enemies the Catholic Church has faced (along with Freemasonry) of all time, to becoming sincere Christians overnight (that in public don't even know how to make the Orthodox Sign of the Cross for Heaven's sake!) is as ridiculous as if you were expected to swallow that Adolf Eichmann, Heinrich Himmler, Franz Stangl, Reinhard Heydrich, and other Schutzstaffel architects of the Holocaust all converted en masse to Judaism! I know this will offend some readers undoubtedly, but when Lenin was talking about useful idiots.... if you are buying Putin's b.s., look in the mirror!
Even since Gundyayev's "alleged" turn toward genuine Christianity (and, remember, records show that at the fall of the CCCP over 50% of all clergy members in the ROC were paid agents of the KGB, AGENTS, not just sympathizers or informers... these were the most hard-core ideological enemies of our Faith people! I, mean, c'mon, WAKE UP!!!!), he has besides being Putin's biggest cheerleader, he has given formal dispensation to both Lenin and Stalin, praised in person the Castro brothers, Huge Chavez, continued to be the biggest booster of the WCC-inspired Liberation Theology throughout Latin America, etc., etc., etc. The evidence is right in front of your eyes, I do not, not, not understand why so many of you have been taken in so fully when this should be a complete no-brainer for *any* Catholic... learn your facts and your history, please!
For just one example among hundreds and hundreds of thousands of the tender mercies of the ROC, Uncle Oleksiy Teodor, when found to be hiding rosary beads on which he still prayed, had the ROC priest in his village nail his tongue to the front door of what was once the Catholic church in his village in Galicia while held by "parishioners" of the ROC/MP church, and left from a Friday until a Sunday, I'm guessing in mockery of Our Lord, before having his *own sons*, included my uncle when he was just a small child, being forced to bury him *alive*. And you expect the Ukrainian Church to want to have anything to do with that true "Abomination of Desolation" that is the Moscow Patriarchate... this is not ancient history, my uncle is only in his mid-70s right now, living in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. My blood is boiling, I am sorry for hurting anyone's feelings, but the ignorance on display anytime I hear a Catholic quoting a RussiaToday or Sputnik propaganda piece makes the top of my head almost blow off at just the utter pollyannaish ignorance of such recent history on display... these are the same people, the most dedicated of the dedicated enemies of the Church in the form of the leadership of the CPSU's form of the Gestapo, that are running Russia to this very day, and have been since the ascendancy of Jurij Andropov. Multiple sources have identified Perestroika and Glasnost as nothing more than a ruse hatched from the very bowels of Satan's real home, the Soviet Politburo, when it was clear that they could not survive the double-blow of Ronald Reagan's increase in military spending, the financial prosperity of the average citizen of the West, and the creaking machinery of the CCCP's rusting and out-dated industry. Their plan was to literally, "hug Europe to death" through creating an energy dependence, and though it may be argued if the plotters outlived the plot, the plot sure seems to be in play.
Am I being a jerk right now... yes, probably, but when I see apologists for a veritable army of recently the most dedicated of communists yet see links posted that claim the Vatican has become the Seat of the Antichrist I am righteously angered to distraction, and frustrated beyond belief! Am I biased... my father and his mother, two sisters, and older brother, from the age of 3 until the age of 12 were in a gulag where he got to see his mom and sisters raped while he and Jacob were forced to watch every gruesome second of it until the were able to escape with the help of a Buddhist Mongolian guard who was treated mercilessly by his otherwise exclusively & violently atheistic Russian comrades. So, yes, I admit my bias, but I know this history like so many of you don't, maybe that is why it is so very incomprehensible that some of the same people who embrace Putin and his ilk as some sort of saviors, even of Catholicism in sort twisted logic that I will never understand, while at the same time jumping at suspected communists shadows supposedly haunting the halls of the Vatican (identified by who else but actual communists, again, come on!!)... these are the same devils that have convinced the majority of the American public that their own intelligence agencies murdered one of their own Catholic President, created the HIV virus to slowly exterminate the proletariat underclass as unneeded excess workers, and so much more junk, yet you can't seem to see the actual, proven, dedicated haters of the Church right in front of your eyes. For me, for what I know, it is inconceivable and just impossible for me to understand.
Being able to finally kick these Vozhd out of Ukraine, both secularly and religiously, and say, "Dosvidanya Moskva!" forever has been been a dream of Ukrainians, whether Catholic or Orthodox, for generations, especially keenly after the Holodomor of 1932-33 (which, incidentally, the word "genocide" was coined specifically for) and the terrible post-Second World War persecutions of Catholics... if you can't understand the reasons this is needed, again, I refer to the encyclical "Orientales omnes Ecclesias". And I apologize if I have offended people, which I am almost sure I have, maybe I have gone too far in what I've written, but this has been on my bitten tongue since last year when I dared to echo the prophecies from Our Lady and Catholic mystics and visionaries speculating on Russia's next moves, and it was like Putin was some sort of modern St. Paul in the eyes of more than a few folks here. Please, think, think, think, use the brains that Our Lord has given you to see what's right in front of your eyes!
And, yes, I know, I'll be chastised and maybe rightfully so, that everyone is entitled to their own opinion... we sure are, but an opinion should be well-formed... we are entitled to our own opinions, not our own facts, and if I'm a liar, please, show me a single fact I stated above that isn't 100% true?? And I am not the only one, here's a sample I found with 10 seconds worth of web-searching:
https://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2016/01/11/kgb-christians-putin-stalin-kgbs-history-manipulating-orthodox-church/
OK, I am not taking a word of what I wrote back, but I need a break from here as well. I can only stand so much, just, seemingly to me, just willful ignorance when it comes to Russia and St. Putin and that fraud of a Patriarch of the ROC.
I was fortunate enough to be able to attend a Byzantine Catholic Mass many years ago, when I was visiting Pittsburgh. It was so beautiful, it makes my heart ache for what has been denied to so many of us. Sadly, there are no Byzantine churches where I live now, or I could guarantee you that's where I would go.

My wife is Polish; born and raised outside Lublin, and went to university in Lublin. It's very dangerous to get her started about the Ukraine in general. But I showed her the quote above. She got a kick out of it, and so long as you don't start speaking fondly of Bandera, she's now your biggest fan.

First Malvenda, who writes expressly on the subject, states as the opinion of Ribera, Gaspar Melus, Biegas, Suarrez, Bellarmine and Bosius that Rome shall apostatize from the Faith, drive away the Vicar of Christ and return to its ancient paganism. ...Then the Church shall be scattered, driven into the wilderness, and shall be for a time, as it was in the beginning, invisible; hidden in catacombs, in dens, in mountains, in lurking places; for a time it shall be swept, as it were from the face of the earth. Is the Novus Ordo Mass already a mostly Protestant Mass?
A Protestant Mass? Excuse me? Was that really somebody's plan from the beginning?
Vic Biorseth, Saturday, July 01, 2017
https://www.catholicamericanthinker.com/
In the recently published Identifying the Enemy webpage, I referred to the existing Vatican project to develop a Liturgy for a Catholic Mass at which Protestants could fully participate. No, that's not a typo or a mistake. We've mentioned it before, but I don't know what the current status of the project is.
If you're like me, the very idea seems preposterous. But then so does most everything else going on these days. Well, after publishing Identifying the Enemy, I got an email from a fellow Church Militant RESISTANCE! group member revealing the fact that the original Novus Ordo Mass of Paul VI was actually developed with the theological and liturgical collaboration of Protestants.
Surprise. ..............................
when trying to argue against sedevacantism is to discredit it by making the position look foolish.
But let us now take a look at what the Popes of the 19th and 20th centuries have had to say regarding conspiracies, specifically conspiracies against the Catholic Church by her enemies. The following list does not pretend to be exhaustive, but is meant to be a reality check for all those scoffers who ridicule the idea that there could be some sort of nefarious plot against the Mystical Body of Christ (names like Karl Keating, Dave Armstrong, Mark Shea, Patrick Madrid, and other full-time “conservative Catholic” hotshots come to mind).
All of the following, then, according to the Novus Ordo establishment kingpins, must be considered high-profile traditional Catholic conspiracy nuts:

ROGRESSIVIST DOCUMENT OF THE WEEK
Card. Ravasi: ‘Dear Masonic Brothers’
Card. Giafranco Ravasi is the President of the Pontifical Council for Culture. Speaking as an important member of the Hoy See, he took the initiative of writing a letter to his “dear Masonic brothers.”
To consider the Freemasons as “brothers” is in itself more important than any part of the letter. It is an new official treatment - similar to “separated brothers” for Protestants or “elder brothers” for the Jews. And as with these two latter enemies of the Church, we are now witnessing a similar thaw of the Church's multi-century old hostility toward the Masons.
It has been a long and sad walk of the Conciliar Popes, who have praised the ideals of Freemasonry – liberty, equality, fraternity, human rights etc. – as well as made repeated visits to the seat of the UN, which is a consubstantiation of the One World Order, another goal of Masonry.
We have seen also Catholic Prelates in different parts of the world visiting Masonic Lodges and delivering talks in them.
Now, we see the Holy See officially writing to the Freemasons and addressing them as “brothers.” It is a new landmark that should be noted and recorded.
Below, we present a phot
Completely off the subject, I thought I'd lighten the mood a bit with a humorous line I just read at ChurchPop: Hail Mary, full of grace...punch the devil in the face!

Archbishop Vigano's Third Testimony
The former nuncio to the US issues a response to Cardinal Ouellet's Oct. 7 letter.

On the Feast of the North American Martyrs
To bear witness to corruption in the hierarchy of the Catholic Church was a painful decision for me, and remains so. But I am an old man, one who knows he must soon give an accounting to the Judge for his actions and omissions, one who fears Him who can cast body and soul into hell. A Judge who, even in his infinite mercy, will render to every person salvation or damnation according to what he has deserved. Anticipating the dreadful question from that Judge -- "How could you, who had knowledge of the truth, keep silent in the midst of falsehood and depravity?" -- what answer could I give?
I testified fully aware that my testimony would bring alarm and dismay to many eminent persons: churchmen, fellow
I find it curious that nobody seems to have noticed that a rare hurricane, hurricane Leslie, hit Portugal on October 13th, the anniversary of Fatima.
Maybe it is a sign. I tend to think so.
The problem is that I do not see a return to God occuring soon in the western world. People seem to accept anything that will keep their property and social status intact without any regard if it is just or true.
No doubt, we have to pray St. Jude:
"To Saint Jude, Holy Saint Jude, Apostle and Martyr, great in virtue and rich in miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke thy special patronage in time of need. To thee I have recourse from the depths of my heart and humbly beg to whom God has given such great power to come to my assistance. Help me in my present and urgent petition, in return I promise to make thy name known and cause thee to be invoked. Saint Jude pray for us and all who invoke thy aid. Amen."

I think this is how Russia will become the Russia of the third secret. Russia is defying Soros, denying letting the world bank into their system. It, Russia, will be the thorn that infects the blood of the new world order , and will be why it is being isolated.
or something along this sentement will be Russia's role.
Our Lady of Knock reveals the great love that Heaven has for Ireland.
It is an enormous grace the Irish have to be a catholic nation.
All graces come from the sacraments and sacramentals of the catholic Church in communion with the Saints in Heaven.
Also, the Rosary is a enormous source of graces.
We do have to pray more than ever.

Francis contradicts Venerable Mary of Agreda...Virgin Mary was open to sexual relations..
As we read at Michael Journal:

"Venerable Mary of Agreda was born on April 2, 1602, in Agreda, Spain. Christened Maria Fernandez Coronel, she took the blue habit and made her vows as a nun in the Franciscan order, and in 1627 she became abbess of the Agreda Franciscan monastery until her death on May 24, 1665. The process for sainthood began a few years after her death, as she had lived a life of evident holiness in the eyes of her contemporaries. During her life, she had experienced mystical phenomena including private revelations.
The most famous of these writings is the Mystical City of God: Divine History of the Virgin, Mother of God, which had been dictated by the Virgin Mary Herself. Even after death, Sister Agreda continues to defy the rationalists and non-believers: her body is incorrupt and lies in her convent. Like a small number of deceased mystics and Catholic saints, the nun’s body refuses to naturally decay, even after 342 years. Here are excerpts from the popular abridgement of the City of God, translated from the original Spanish by Rev. Geo. J. Blatter
by Venerable Mary of Agreda
At the age of thirteen and a half years, Mary had an abstractive vision of God. In this vision, we might say, happened something similar to that which the holy Scriptures relate of Abraham, when God commanded him to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac, the only pledge of all his hopes. God tempted Abraham, says Moses (Gen. 12, 12), trying and probing the promptness of his obedience in order to reward it. We can say the same thing of our great Lady, that God tried Her in this vision, by commanding Her to enter the state of matrimony, even though She had often repeated and renewed the vow of chastity, which She had taken at such a premature age."
As I explained in my last post, Francis the Humble (not a Pharisee like the rest of us), has contradicted this revelation, given to a woman of eminent holiness, as well as the constant belief of Holy Mother Church.
Recently, in a book-length interview, Francis asserted that, “From the moment she was born until the Annunciation, to the moment she encountered the angel of God, I imagine her as a normal girl, a girl of today...I can’t say she a city-girl, because she is from a small town, but normal, educated normally, open to marrying, to starting a family.”
About Our Lady of Knock, I find it refreshing to see a famous Irish artist like Gilbert O'Sullivan proud of his catholic faith:
"Gilbert's faith is still important to him and he attends church on Sundays whenever possible. "I was raised a Catholic and there's that old saying 'once a Catholic always a Catholic'.
"Of course we often lapse when we get older. There's a lot I don't agree with but I hang in there. It stays with you. I go to church on a Sunday. I find it very therapeutic. I don't always listen to what the priest is saying, but I find the effort of going in there for that hour is good for me because there's no first class, there's no business class; you just sit anywhere you like and everybody's the same and there's something nice about that."
Mr O'Sullivan is still a practicing catholic. Congratulations to him!
Our Lady of Knock helps to keep the faith in Ireland.

Slow down and take a careful, second look at that statement. Yes, she would have been very much equivalent to a small-town girl in today's world. She was as educated as women could be in her time; she was by no means an "ignorant hick." And she most certainly was open to the idea of marriage and starting a family, at least as a concept. One of today's consecrated virgins will be among the first to assure you that there is no contradiction in that statement. The only conceivable "error" in the Pope's statement here is merely one of omission, in that he did not specify that she had no such plans for herself. The proof of that is also in "Mystical City of God," where we read that Mary was actually quite distressed when her teachers in the Temple told her she was to be betrothed to Joseph, until she was assured in one of her visions that there would be no violation of her vows, as Joseph himself had taken similar ones.
.
Notice I do not claim that this omission was or was not deliberate. Only God and Pope Francis himself know the truth of that. While other things he's said and done over the course of his pontificate may lead us to see the omission as deliberate, we have no way of knowing, and it is not our place to assert one way or another. Pray for him, that if he is being controlled or manipulated in some way, he may receive the grace and strength to resist, and if he is indeed attempting to lead us away from the Truth, that he be given the grace of repentance and conversion.
Ahem, sorry for my outburst above, I let my emotions get the best of me. But the substance of what I wrote I still think is true, though my delivery sucked. I seem to recall that Sr. Lucia when asked how the conversion of Russia would occur pointed to the Oriental Rite, which though there are 23 Eastern Catholic Churches, I have an inkling it may be exactly through an eventually move of all of Ukraine to the Ukrainian Catholic Byzantine-Slavonic Rite under the jurisdiction of the Holy See, and afterwards spreading to Russia.
The enormity of the blow to the ROC in the latest news is hard to understate (fully a third of all practicing members of the ROC/MP are in Ukraine, and inarguably the most devout and regular church-attending members are in Ukraine as well. I think it's abhorrent that the ROC/MP regularly refuse to allow funeral services for Ukrainian servicemen killed in the semi-frozen conflict with the Russian Federation, but that shows just how political the ROC/MP is, and it has absolutely been bleeding membership over to the Kyiv Patriachy because of callous decisions such as that, and just the obvious arm of the FSB disinformation campaign that it exists as (here is a good graphic to illustrate: http://euromaidanpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/religions.jpg).
@Mark W.
Please tell your wife from me "Jin kwee embardo" (or something close to that, she'll probably laugh), what little Polish I remember from a kid was from my Grandma's own unique language which was a probably 50/50 split of German and Polish mixture (with some Ukrainian, Hungarian, and Yiddish mixed in to boot... oy yoy yoy... I thought an orange was called a "boomerance" until I was 5 or 6 haha (that I'm thinking that was some local dialect version of the Polish word).
So cool to hear of your wife's upbringing!! My dad's family (ethnically German) lived in a little village that doesn't exist anymore south of Lemberg/Lviv (where my grandma was born), and all my aunties and uncles on my dad's side were born in Galicia as well, but after the population transfer between the Nazis and the Soviets when they'd carved up Poland they were moved to Posen/Poznan, where my dad was born.
And, no worries, I am *no* fan of Bandera or the UPA atrocities, I'm probably as far from that political philosophy as possible (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consistent_life_ethic is my political and social ethos). In truth, far right-wing activism in Ukraine has been so grossly overstated by Russian disinformation, whenever I read of people saying Ukraine is a Nazi state (usually an RT or Sputnik originating trope), I quickly point out that Right Sector was at it's height at most a few thousand people (and that's a very generous estimate), and this when 2 million ordinary peace-loving Ukrainians had taken to the streets.
...
Characterizing that metaphorical drop of water in a whole ocean of protest as definitive is so very disingenuous. Proof is in the electoral results (a handy reference here to facts vs. fictions: https://euvsdisinfo.eu/become-stateless-nationalist/ ;
"The spontaneous onset of the Euromaidan protests was a reaction of large parts of the Ukrainian population to former President Yanukovych’s sudden departure from the Association Agreement with the European Union in November 2013. The total number of members of radical groups, e.g. the "Right Sector", never amounted to more than a few hundred to a maximum of a thousand people. The vast majority of the protesters (up to two million at one time nationwide) consisted of peaceful Ukrainian citizens: http://bit.ly/1Tl9X7W.
The insignificance of the "Right Sector" is evident from the election results – their candidate received 0.7% of the vote in the May 2014 presidential elections, and the party received 1.8% of the vote in the October 2014 parliamentary elections."
Anyways, thanks for sharing Mark, and one last thing you might want to show your wife, my very favourite picture of my opa (who was killed in the Posen Pocket nearing the end of the Second World War unfortunately), taken just after the Miracle on the Vistula which he participated in as a "horse soldier". I have a strictly private belief that Our Lady miraculously interceded to forestall a Russian Communist takeover of the whole of Europe, and maybe even the whole world, at this very pivotal battle... people don't realize the big, beg debt the entire world holds to tiny, persistent, unwavering Polska and what they achieved beyond all odds in 1920 (not to even mention the spiritual debt for the great gift of the Divine Mercy devotion from Sr. St. Faustina and her diary, Pope St. John Paul II, etc.)

@JMC My sister is a teacher (grade 5) doing a unit on Our Lady right now, I found some age-appropriate teaching resources on Fatima for her, I'll have to tell her your abridged Hail Mary, lol.
And, OT, but an interesting quick background on the Miracle on the Vistula:

Also, and sorry for all the posts 9ne after thd other, but great find Chris with Malachi Martin mentioning Kyiv in relation to the conversion of Russia... from 1996 (!), that, if not a genuine insider's view, seems one heck of a coincidence with the events now playing out.
Though I'm still not sure what to think of Fr. Martin, when he'd do the call-in super long interviews on Coast-to-Coast (I was on the permanent graveyard shift at a convenience store as I worked my way through university at the time, and would listen to Art Bell whenever the AM signal from a station, I think either from Billings or Minot, came through) I was intrigued enough to buy and read his books (I can just check many of them out from our town library now, which is kind of amazing in itself to me, that kind of secular reach from a primarily religious author, whether due to sensationalism or not, is a sort of impressive testament to his appeal still even after death... I'd never have guessed way back in my 20s that *that* would ever happen in a million years!).
I'd drifted from the Church, not for any philosophical reasons as much as, which I'm guessing us common, just sin blotting out from my thoughts and insidiously subtle just putting it on my spiritual back-burner, and though I still struggled with relapses afterwards, it was through those Art Bell shows with Fr. Martin (and Hostage to the Devil and Windswept House, whether fiction or non-, metaphorically scared the Hell out of me... I wish I could say I became a good Catholic, but more I'd say I became a terrible secularist... but anyways, though maybe an unlikely source, I really do owe Fr. Martin a lot in that regard.
RC, are you lurking out there? I was thinking of you a lot today wondering how you're doing after I found a YouTube video for helping to pray the Seven Sorrows chaplet this morning.
@Mark
Argh, ok, this is getting excessive, my impulse control is right out the window, but I'd never, ever heard of Bl. Jerzy Popieuszko before this past Friday when I read the article below, and I fully realize that this is probably akin to someone asking me if I know their friend Joe from Nova Scotia, or Bob from Vancouver, etc., but... did your wife ever happen to have a chance to hear or see Bl. Fr. Popieuszko whike still back home (I'm not super clear how well known he was prior to his martyrdom, or if your wife would even be anywhere near the right age, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask, except maybe in adding to the monopolistic posting I've done today (sorry folks)? Thanks in advance!

hi jason R
i find many people are unsure about Malachy. and I don't champion him as an authority on truth.. however, I find it interesting in the midst of all the current church apostasy, the one guy who has the gumption to try and guide with info and insight regarding the regular Catholic looking for guidance.. we don't get any from the pulpit. that is not allowed!!!!!!!! and look how he is met with disdain even though al;l his info is documented and becoming the truth right in front of our eyes and lives and time frame. I am absolutely convinced the condition of the church and its leaders are part of the secret and that is why it has been buried. how can the Fathers tell the sheep they are corrupt, homosexual, freemason satinist's??
what did JP2 say? if there is a secret which stated millions of people will perish in an instant would they want to know??
i think church affairs will continue to suffer and we are as it was during the days of Noah!!
PS all the talks by Martin are put in order of time and are available on u tube. i still get new understandings from them and marvel at his insight.
Even though my viewpoint is different than yours on a lit of things, I really do appreciate your efforts and passion Chris... your sincerity is impossible not to recognize, and I always admire folks with strength in their convictions. I'm going to check out more of the Martin videos today, thanks for that tip!
And when I pray the rosary (I usually prefer saying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, but praying the rosary in earnest this month, I'm pretty blown away by some of the spiritual insights I seem to be getting, and a lot of old rwsemtnrnts just leaving me do easily, and being of old wounds... I didn't expect this).
And I'm going to make a real point in addition in making reparations to the Immaculate Heart that I pray it in conscious union especially with all the folks I may disagree with, too. I think Our Lady woukd be pleased with that.
I've read here and there in the Catholic blogosphere over the last bit that some there is an expectation that Pope Francis may specifically invoke an ex cathedra encyclical that will test/provoke what some writers are referring to as a right-wing Catholic subculture that is already upset (obviously) over things like the change in teaching in the cathechism on the death penalty, etc. to see if the sheep will follow the shepherd or not I guess.
One interesting take I read was that he will make a decision that may intentionally cause a schism on the "right"... my intuition tells me it may be doing away with the prohibition on Latin Rite celibacy, which looking at the seeming absence of any sexual abuse in the Eastern Rite Churches might actual be an idea whose time has come once again... it would definitely provide I'd think a counterbalance to the number of men entering the seminary with same-sex attractions, as well as maybe restoring some confidence in Cargolucz disillusioned by the sexual abuse scandal, and it doesn't seem like many of the demands of the priesthood that made having a wife and children a severe impediment to fulfilling their vocations really exist anymore as they did in the past when a priest filled a lot more roles in the community ... my Byzantine Rite priest with a wife and children seems not to be overly taxed by having a family as well, though I'm no expert in this area by any means. Another guess that isn't my own, restoring women to the ordained diaconate coukd provoke a schism as well. And another theory goes that afterprovoking a schism from the right, either Pope Francis of a subsequent Pope may do the same thing by propagating a doctrine that will provoke a schism on among the extreme left subculture, though I don't have any guesses on what that might be.
But in any case, i guess the point would be when it comes down to it, will Catholics of either of these alleged subcultures follow in Luther's footsteps or not? If the question is really about papal infallibility being challenged if an undeniably ex cathedra decision is made, maybe the purification of the Church will exactly be about allowing those on the extremes of the right and left go the way of the Orthodox and Protestants in schism leaving only those who believe that the Pope is the Vicar of Christ and the sheep cannot lead the shepherd without splintering as has happened in the leaderless Protestant world and the increasingly leaderless Orthodox world, leaving a much, much smaller Church, but one incredibly loyal to thd Holy Father... and that maybe thats what the purification of the Church is really going to be about, re-estsblishing a ultra loyal following of the Pope and kicking worldly political squabbling out of thd Church, and how it will go about taking place, according to this theory (and please don't shoot the messenger *ducking for cover*, these aren't my ideas at all and I'm not promoting them, it's just what I've been reading... though I have to admit there's a certain logic to it all).
jason R

Facts about fasting brought to light in Medjugorje by Our Lady
marys messages fasting
Fasting is an armament…
….as Our Lady calls it, the “arms” in which to destroy Satan’s power in your life. There are 26 main statements Our Lady has told us about fasting. The facts about fasting are as follows:
1. Fasting stops wars.* 7/21/82 pgs. 130-131
2. Fasting can suspend the laws of nature.* 7/21/82 pgs. 130-131
3. Fasting reduces punishments from God.* 11/16/82 pg. 136
4. Fasting is an “arm,” a weapon of significant power to defeat, of which atomic power does not compare. Atomic power has not strength to conquer Satan.* 6/25/92 pg. 193
5. Bread and water is the best fast.* 7/21/82 pg. 130-131
6. Fasting, to be powerful, must be done with the heart. *9/20/84 pg. 209
7. Through fasting, the whole plan of Our Lady, that God himself planned for the world’s salvation during this special time, will be achieved. *9/26/85 pg. 222
8. By giving our fasting to Our Lady, it “forces” Satan not to be able to seduce us to evil and drives him away. *9/4/85 pg. 235
9. Fasting purifies our hearts from the sins of our past. (Through Confession, sins of the past are forgiven, but healing from life-long vice or memories that Satan uses against us to lead us back into sin, requires purification). *12/4/86 pg. 239
10. Fasting, coupled with prayer WILL obtain EVERYTHING you ask for (the exception would be something illicit).* 10/29/83 pgs. 348-349
11. Fasting sanctifies you to receive the Holy Spirit. *11/4/83 pg. 349
12. Humility is a fruit from fasting, when coupled with prayer.* 2/10/84 pg. 366
13. The present fasting in the Church is not adequate. Our Lady desires this to change. She said fasting has been forgotten in the last quarter of this century in the Catholic Church. *5/84 pg. 375
14. Fasting is one element that keeps Satan from conquering us. Faith and prayer are the other two. *11/16/81 pg. 114.
We, in turn, are to conquer Satan. The arms to do so are fasting coupled with prayer.* 6/25/92 pg. 193
15. Satan is enraged against those who fast and convert. *6/16/83 pg. 343
16. Fasting for the sick can cure them along with faith and prayer. *11/26/81 pg. 115
17. Fasting, along with prayer, was offered as a remedy by Our Lady to stop arguments from the Holy Priesthood.* 1/21/82 pg. 121
18. Fasting will bring the Kingdom of God among us.* 3/14/84 pg. 153
19. Fasting makes Our Lady happy.* 8/5/84 pg. 157
20. Fasting will make prayer more vigorous. *1/25/84 pg. 363
21. Our Lady will make the maximum good come from our fast. She wants us to give our fast to her in which she “disposes of them “according to the will of God. *9/24/82 pgs. 134-135
22. Fasting, coupled with prayer, especially community prayer, will protect you from Satan’s aggression in destroying marriages, creating division among priests and will crush him in his plans for obsessions and murders in society today of which Our Lady says he is responsible. *12/26/82 pg. 139
23. To obtain a grace from God, it is best you let no one know you are fasting. *1/28/87 pgs. 180-181
24. We are to fast out of gratitude. *9/20/84 pg. 209
25. Fasting is to be encouraged in others.* 2/22/88 pg. 286
26. Our Lady tells us to fast to prepare for the coming of Jesus. *11/25/96

please note that I did not say the pope did anything wrong. I only posted the article about the quote.
personally, I think it is another example of how HE LEAVE THINgs open to translation and interpretation by others. in itself not a bad thing, but as the leader of many not a good thing.
I can't believe I have run across this movie. about the book that started me on my prophetic subject search. now take notice this is from a book written in 1970. I think. from biblical writings. I have never seen or watched it until I will clickpublish.. I can't wait.. enjoy

Hal Lindsey The Late Great Planet Earth 1979
boy, we have become so much more information regarding the last time's prophecy since the 70's. back then , the view seemed to be there will be no leading up to the final battle, ie Armageddon.
I remember the book being much more impressive..
It's my understanding that "Late Great Planet Earth" is the book the Protestants got that whole "Rapture" thing from, which was a concept no one had ever heard of before then. In fact, it was the source of the whole Apocalypse view of the Southern Baptists, in particular, whose vision of the End Times gave rise to the "Left Behind" series.
.
As for the discussion on Malachi Martin...you can't deny that most of what he warned us about in the 1990s is now happening right before our eyes. He tried to warn us about the whole homosexual scandal, and as it turns out, it's even worse than he thought.
.
Finally, I've heard that argument about doing away with the celibacy requirement perhaps reducing the amount of sexual abuse going on. I might be tempted to agree, except for one thing: The vast majority of abuse cases were of a homosexual nature, so doing away with celibacy wouldn't stop or prevent it.
.
Personally, I have no opinion one way or the other about the celibacy requirement; that's a matter of discipline that can, and has, been changed at least once in Church history (We all know that St. Peter was married, and I'm sure a few of the other Apostles were, as well; it was quite some time before celibacy became the norm in the Latin Rite, though I don't know exactly when that happened). I suspect that the absence of such scandal among the Eastern Rite clergy may be due more to the fact that the Eastern Rite was less affected by the changes that overtook the Latin Rite after Vatican II. I'm certainly no expert on the subject, but I believe that the vast majority of Eastern Rite Churches still use the liturgy they used prior to Vatican II, and the ones who have a version of a Novus Ordo Mass are actually the exception. (The single Byzantine rite Mass I attended years ago was actually a Novus Ordo, but far more decorous and reverent than any Latin Rite NOM I'd attended up to that time.)
Hey Chris,
I'm usually open minded to watching the videos you link even when I know they won't really be my cup of tea, but the Seventh Day Adventist one (Decoding The Book of Revelation
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB1plKMLiBE), I'm kind of surprised you'd post this.
When those folks come to my door on a Saturday morning (or rather when they used to, they avoid my house now, haha, I'd give them quite an earful about spreading anti-Catholic hate-speech).
Thsnks for the reply JMC, other than the change to using Ukrainian or English, is there really such a thing as a N.O. Byzantine Rite Mass? The Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom is soooo a completely different Mass altogether, I'm wondering if the Mass you went to was maybe Roman Rite but in an Eastern language, because otherwise I'm not sure how the concept of N.O. would fit in this context?
And, respectfully, I'd have to disagree with you about the celibacy issue. I think the proportion of "staight" priests would be bound to go up as a percentage (i.e. relatively) compared to priests with same-sex attractions if the tradition of Western celibacy were relaxed.
I know I for one would definitely have entered the priesthoid if I wouldn't have been restricted from marrying (though, well, my case was admittedly much more complicated by the fact I had a daughter out of wedlock in my teens; my archbishop telling me I would never be able to see my daughter again, who was already 5 at the time and would have been scarred for life to just be cut off from me like that, was what made me back away from a priestly vocation), but when I was in active formation many, many of the other guys ultimately left, some almost at the last moment after meeting and falling in love with a woman, also because they just couldn't get past the hurdle of never being able to have a family, including two of my best friends at the time.
Again, I know anecdotal evidence like that is cherry-picking, but I have a feeling that same scenario has played out many times and would be certainly a factor in why the clergy includes a higher-than-normal amount of men with same-sex attractions compared with any random group of men in general.
I know there is a lot more advanced and intensive screening around same-sex attraction after Pope Benedict's instruction in this area, and I'm certainly not implying that all homosexuals are pedophiles, but gay culture generally seems to have a relaxed attitude it seems to relationships between underage twinks and older sugar daddies, and as far as paedophile priests, the incredibly overwhelming number have same-sex attractions... I don't think anyone can argue with this fact. I'm also not saying celibacy can turn you gay, or into a paeophile, which is a ridiculous idea that gets peddled by the extreme left it seems quite a bit, but strictly that allowing married men into the Western Rite priesthood wouldn't be inconsequential therefore to the likelihood of paedophliacs
So, apart from liturigical matters, I just can't believe that allowing priests to marry wouldn't have an impact, and, note, I'm talking about future vocations, regardless of any current proportions in the clergy; it's important not to conflate the two I think... that seems like common sense in that a lower proportion of gay priests would mean a lower proportion of paedophiliac priests as the vast, vast proportion of the predators are same-sex attracted,
this is a documented fact that I think can't seriously be disputed by anyone at this point (though again, A mostly being a subset of B isn't meant to imply that B = A... I know more than a few brothers and priests who have same-sex attractions who are fine and moral people, live their vows of celibacy with perfection, and to be far, a lot better than many opposite-sex attracted priests that I've been friends with who have broken their views of celibacy, and are exceptional at their work).
I'm curious though, why do you think letting priests marry wouldn't decrease the proportion of paedophiliacs in the clergy? Or am I misstating your assertion?
Anyways, my main point was more about Pope Francis making an ex cathedra change which would, and this is just "the" argument, not my argument (I was introduced to this viewpoint at my last monthly K of C meeting just visiting after the meeting), that it would really separate the wheat from the chaff as far as recognizing or rejecting psosl infallibility, and as with reintroducing female deacons, it usnt necessarily priestly celibacy either l, but some tradition thst is subject to change but thst would push the buttons of the alleged right-wing political Catholic subculture, followed by one that woukd raise the hackles of a similar political leftist subculture, thereby "kicking" politics out of the Church (mostly in America where the Church seems much more politically focused compared to many other areas of the Catholic world). I just found this theory interesting.
Also as Anglicanism moves further from thd Gospel, and more and more high church Anglicans (a married Anglican priest I'm friends with is close to making the switch himself) become married priests celebrating the Roman Rite, which I expect will accelerate greatly after 2020's dedication, or will be harder to maintain two separate traditions vis-a-vis the view of priestly celibacy. I'd imagine the secular world's silly argument that celibacy turns a a man, regardless of sexual attraction, into a paedophile, would become a moot point if Western priests were allowed to have families, too.

precisely the point of posting the video. i have been reading Emmett's blog for a few years now and am pleased to be able to recognise some of the major differences in teachings.
i am grateful emmett and thank you.!!
and priests can never be allowed to marry. talk to any REAL priest and they will explain that the love of Jesus and the confessional obligation can never be changed.
From Fr. Z's blog:
"Sides are drawn.
"Sometimes, friends, we just have to have the food fight, don’t we. The factions are at a point now where nothing other than providentially guided upheaval will sort it out.
"To that end, yesterday a friend showed me a passage in the book of messages from the Lord by “A Benedictine Monk” before the Blessed Sacrament. In In Sinu Iesu dating from March 2010 the monk says that the Lord told him that, soon, we would enter into a final stage of purifying and liberating the priesthood.
"Are we there? Is this the time?"
I would stop reading those messages... that monk is a Buddhist!
Just let priests have legit sex, some say, and all this hideousness will end. No, it won’t. Pedophiles are pedophiles, and we see them in milieus where men can marry.
https://www.thedailybeast.com/letting-priests-marry-would-not-solve-the-catholic-churchs-pedophilia-problem
" In Sinu Jesu recounts the graces experienced in the life of one priest through the healing and strengthening power of Eucharistic adoration. At the same time, it issues an urgent call to all priests--and, indeed, to all Christians--to be renewed in holiness through adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament and consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mediatrix of All Graces. It is my fervent hope that In Sinu Jesu will inspire many priests to be ever more ardent adorers of the Eucharistic Face of Jesus, and thus find the strength and courage to show forth the Face of Christ in the midst of our profoundly secularized society."-- HIS EMINENCE RAYMOND LEO CARDINAL BURKE,
Do you have proof for your claim?

How are you brother? Very well I hope? Been super busy past few weeks but good to see you posting friend.
Our Lady of Sorrows is such a powerful devotion and I'm so grateful that you have discovered Our Blessed Mother under such a title. If you haven't already checked out Fr Rippergers superb conference on Our Lady of Sorrows I urge you to asap!!! It is outstanding my friend!
Despite us being as far apart on this pontificate as we are literally geographically,I consider you just like a brother my friend, and like my own brothers although we fought like cat and dog growing up there is always a bond and an affection. You remain in my thoughts and prayers Jason :)
Few quick points, unfortunately the church is riven and polluted by politics,it can only be divisive, i tend to think its more modernism v traditonalism and i personally do not think it coincidence that in the period of 100 years granted to satan in Leo's vision, vatican 2 arrives! I also find it odd that 3 post council popes are canonised yet popes like Leo and Pius are not? If thats not politics at play i dont know what is!!
Married priest's I do not think is the solution. Vocations are exploding among groups like the fssp issp and even the sspx, it needs to be examined why. A priest is a unique human being, called to act Alter Christus, to follow Christ and to serve him just as the apostles left their families and gave up the world, obviously Our Lord was spotlessly chaste and virginal thus i firmly believe His priests need to be also. It's well documented the vast proportion of abuse is of a homosexual nature, whats also evident but often overlooked is abuse is rampant in the orthodox so married priests will not stop this scourge.
R.e Malachi Martin, an enigma wrapped in an enigma. No doubt whatsover what he described in the bell and janssen interviews is playing out exactly as he suggested. Whether he iwas gifted this foresight by God, or his own gifted intellect allowed him to see a deeper cause and effect, probably best ledt open to opinion. I've read many of his books and to be honest they were page turners! Hostage was extremely lurid but then again do are the demonic. The final conclave was superb and if Cardinal Sarah is ever elected pope then Malachi may indeed have been a prophet! Of all of them though I found the jesuits to be the most disturbing, eye opening and also frightening as to what they have become. Have a read of it if you can!
God bless you friend
Jason - thanks for the info on your family history. My wife enjoyed it, and said that your family seems to have a knack for being on the right side of history. And she did get a chuckle out of your version of Dziękuję bardzo, but she said it was very good that you remembered some Polish.
Her family missed the 1920 Russo-Polish war. Her area was hit by an outbreak of typhoid fever that distracted them.
But I did a bit of her family tree. It's a very difficult task doing Polish genealogy. Many of the records have been destroyed, and few are available on the web. But I did find one possible connection that went back to the 1600's. If that turns out to be true, then it's possible that one of her ancestors rode with Radziwiłł's winged hussars at the Battle of Vienna. I just can't make a positive connection to her family yet.

also at 2:34:00 on there is a very good explanation on the REAL difference between the old and new mass and WHY is it important
Sometimes I really wonder about the Jesuits. Among some liberal friends of mine, as far back as the early 1980s, many of them were telling me that, around the time of the Crusades, the Jesuits were nearly disbanded due to serious "irregularities;" among them accusations of practices that approached outright witchcraft. I don't know if this is true or not, but I've seen a lot of material that say the Jesuits have come in and out of favor throughout their history; a lot of it points to some alleged heavy-handedness in their dealings with the Japanese, which led to all Church representatives being kicked out of Japan and the religion banned in that nation for a very long time. Now I know there's an awful lot of "revisionist" history out there, and history was never my long suit in school, so I really don't know how much of what I've read and heard about the Jesuits is true and how much is is not. I do know a lot of it sounds more like some kind of resentment over their practice of subtle argumentation, which is why the word "jesuitry" is usually used in a negative sense. If someone could clarify this jumble of "he said, she said," I'd really appreciate it.
JMC -
The Jesuits were actually suppressed by Clement XIV in 1773. They weren't restored until 1814. Russia, Prussia and the United States allowed the Jesuits to continue their work, but they were shut down everywhere else.
They were rich, and they were politically powerful, and they were well connected to the Vatican. And they were rich and powerful, did I mention that? Very rich, and very powerful. Eventually, they wore out their welcome in just about every European monarchy. They were expelled from Venice in 1606, restored, and re-expelled in the 1650's. By the mid-1700's, they'd been expelled from Portugal, France, Spain, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, and Malta. (Can you imagine the crusading Hospitalers and the Jesuits sharing the same small island of Malta?!) They were even banned from Switzerland in 1840's - long after their restoration in the rest of Europe - and that ban wasn't lifted until the 1970's.
The papal order that suppressed the Jesuits gave no reason. So, officially speaking, there was nothing specified as to why they were shut down. But they were known for playing hard-ball politics and they owned much of the education system in Europe, so it's likely that everyone saw them as a threat of some sort.
In the end, it all boiled down to power, the Jesuit way of exercising that power, money, and the Jesuit things supported by that money; they had become machiavellian. I read somewhere that they eventually tried to bite-the-hand-that-fed-them, by trying to impose their will in the Vatican and Papal States (can't find the book just now). I seem to remember that being the last straw, and the pope himself did them in.
They're still subverting the educational systems under their control even today. Georgetown University, as just one example, is today about as Catholic as the ash tree in my back yard.
Read Malachi Martin's book on the jesuits and everything will become clear as to what they have become
Chris
I've left a reply to your assertion about the monk being a Buddhist, I'd really appreciate a response as it's an extremely worrying claim your making, thanks
RC;
my Buddhist remark was just a flippant remark that does not translate through reading. it was a what is he saying? remark.. the remark means nothing, it is just a quick lets dig deeper remark about Father Z'z opinion.
I met Father z at a retreat.. he would understand and appreciate the verbal disagreement
just pretend i never typoed the words. rc

Panicking a bit as I had gifted that book to a former parish priest of mine!!
Any observations about Fr Z you can share with us all? I imagine he has a rapier like wit?
Thanks, Mark. With no reason being given, that explains why there's so much innuendo out there as to why they were suppressed. But it would seem they've been corrupt for at least four centuries.
When are you back home RC?
Evening Emmett,
Been settling in for a few weeks now moving is a right hassle! Will try to get something sorted asap for a jar or two when I'm back visiting in the murph.By the way I had forgotten how cod it is back home, either Belfast has a seperate climate to Tyrone or england has made me soft!!
Have a look at this relative to Emmett's ideas on cell phones and phylacteries:
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/26/style/phones-children-silicon-valley.html
People are so hooked on these things, they even talk on the phone while they're in the bathroom, for crying out loud. I've heard this in public restrooms; it's not at all unusual to hear the person in the next stall talking on the phone.
.
People don't even know how to use their voices anymore. Groups of people go to a restaurant; there they are, all together in one room, and they're texting each other instead of talking. I've seen it in business meetings as well; people gathered in a room for a meeting, and the room is in complete silence as they just text each other. My brother, who was leading the meeting, had to yell at them to get them to quit, because he didn't have a smartphone, just an old flip-phone.
I used to like to play video games - exploration/puzzle games like Myst; Windows 10 put the kibosh on that, because it won't run them. About the only things I use the computer for anymore is books, because our home library got too big.

we are in the apostacy
Something I found more than a little disturbing. Political rhetoric has a tradition in Russia of being used as a foreshadowing of future intentions going back at least to Ivan Grozny starkly contrasted with it being a "live commentary" on current affairs, so when this type of apocalyptic and religious martydom rhetoric is used it woukd do as well to take notice. It is amazing how much the Iranisn amd Russian governments have in common already (authoritarian, develpping theo-fascist state where a strong-man leader has an almost mutually parasitic relationship with a relatively small group of oligarchs that own most of their country's, incredibly wealthy kleptocrats, but that need the gov't/co-opted religious apparatus as mucb as that apparatus needs them.
When Pope Francis recently proclaimed that one cannot be a member of the mafia and a non-apostate of the Church simultaneously, i kniw he was tslking about in Sicily/Naples/etc., but it couldn't help but remind me of these emerging theo-fascist states (Islam doesn't have the market cornered, Russia, Myanmar, Turkey, Hungry possibly), The PRC bringing back Confusicusnism in a big way. The instruments of the state co-opting those of religious organizations/principles/whatever you'd call them, and the Catholic Church is pretty much thd last man standung (as would be expected of course), but the spirit of the world is going after Her like never before.
I've decided to stay out of any arguments that lie ahead in the cleansing of the hierarchy that will be taking place I think one way or another. I have a sense it's going to be such a confusing time, where the Enemy has had the advantage of orchestrating things, so maybe biyh extreme views, and really any views rooted in temporal matters, which don't belong in the Church (render unto Caesar), either on the right or the left or the up or the down for that matter *both* could be in the wrong philosophically (do either side remotely conform to principles established under Leo XIII and precusely outlined in Pope St. JPII's Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church;
http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/justpeace/documents/rc_pc_justpeace_doc_20060526_compendio-dott-soc_en.html),
...in complete honestly?).
Looking back on the history of the Church where equal and even much greater confusuon abounded almost everywhere (during every heresy, but the Arian heresy really comes to my mind), the Catholics that managed to weather those storms -and there are verifiable tsunamis of new heresies very possibly on the horizon, I'm not talking changing of what have long been established as small "t" traditions of Man rather than dogma, such as Western Rite celibacy, the removal of women from the diaconate, but doctrine denying Original Sin like that Divine Will movement, a new wave of that ever persistent Gnocisticisn, the denying of the True Presence, a total loss of any liturgical restraint or direction, a new Millennialism/Millenarianism which I personally will be the heresy that ushers in the Antichrist)- in all cases of heresy it was those who clung to the Barque of St. Peter when deception fooled many good-intentioned people of schism and dvdn comllete apostasy... the Church having a visible head is such an incredible grace, and one that is like having air to fill your lungs, you don't really miss it and appreciate it the way you should until it's gone, and then you miss it sorely... let's pray that we are never left in a situation where the Pope is killed during such turbulent times (maybe like not so far off), where rival conclaves could easily form producing an antipope... or much worse. So I'm keeping my mouth shut and clinging to the netting of the ship for dear life.
Whoops, forgot the original link:

Emmett, would you make anything of this as it could relate to the casting down of the Accuser by St. Michael the Archangel? I know at certain times and in certain contexts, prophesies that play out in the Heavens can foreshadow a certain event to later be played out in our physical realm, and looking at thd line the Sword of St. Michael makes, it jumps out at me that this would a very viable hypothetical "extent" as to how far the the joint Russian, alliance of Islamic nations (including very likely the Central Asian former Union Republics), and possibly some other former communist countries.
The line also runs right along the Golan Heights, which is the make-or break-possession for any war between Israel and Syria, the natural "frontline" than separates the two. It's interesting to see how the line bisecting France is so close to the furthest extent of the Prussian forces in 1871 and the Imperial German forces 1914-1918. That's because the line very well approximates physical natural lines of defense pretty much right along it.
Now it could be explained that the shrines of St. Michael are all along an axis the follows the rising and setting of the sun on summer solstice which in antiquity woukd have held pagan shrines which the expanding Church would have pulled down and replaced with shrines of a particular anti-heretical fervour under St. Michael's patronage, and that the historical defensive line hinges on that these locations are exceptionally high locations in key mountain ranges, the ultimate in warfare natural defensive positions even. But the equal distance between some of those extremely far-flung monasteries is something try as I might I can't come up with any rational explanation for.
Would it be so crazy given how much else from the book of Revelations and Magesterium-approved private revalations seems to be coming to pass since the Knock apparition (and the trumpets yet to come that seem to so describe an all-out conventional forces as well as NBC and covert operations war... the literal Third World War with supernatural chastisement as well that will allegedly be between the forces of a Europe which as a result of it having turned its back on God and His Church, is invaded in a sneak attack when least suspected by an alliance of Russia with a grand alliance of the Islamic nations of the world, a returned Caliphate that could approximate the area of the four old Macedonian Hellenistic empires, only to be turned back in France, with a complete and miraculous victory coming in a battle in central Germany which will lead to the conversion of the Muslims and heal the Great Schism between East and West as well, and so on and so on... I just realized I could just keep going on, but that's my take anyways).
Anyways... would it ge do crazy if this line is a "prophetic" map marker which could mark where the turning point is for the forces of the Great Monarch (if this whole scenario of the sneak nuclear attack/invasion of Europe isn't meant to be an allegory of shifting religious demographics, or something else altogether and entirely... I might be totally off, but it seems to fit with Emmett's much deeper analysis some way. I noticed how if Portugal had to be used, maybe even Fatima itself, as a "temporary Rome" if the papacy had to relocate if the 3rd secret still portains future events as Pope Benedict seemed so strongly to indicate, it would be in an ideal position to be an inspirational and spiritual rallying point in relation to the line made by the Sword configuration... very defensible but close enough to the troops to really inspire as well. Could knowledge of this line as a possible prophetic highwater mark in this presupposed invasion serve as no small comfort if knowledge of this is revealed as such during those dark and very desperate days. Im just spit-balling now, but this certainly caught my interest and imagination enough to seek anyone else's take on it.

Well, Chris, in this case I suppose we'll know fairly soon.
Have you read a lot of Nostradamus? I haven't read any of it in several decades, and I didn't understand anything I read even back then. Have you gotten anything out of it if you've read it?
I was reading through the homilies of St. John Chrysostom (347-407), one of the most important of the church fathers, the other day, when I happened upon a series of statements that would make many political conservatives feel faint:
http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/210111.htm
Homily 11 on the Acts of the Apostles
"...It is not for lack of miracles that the church is stagnant; it is because we have forsaken the angelic life of Pentecost, and fallen back on private property. If we lived as they did, with all things common, we should soon convert the whole world without any need of miracles at all.
For ‘mine’ and ‘thine’ – those chilly words which introduce innumerable wars into the world – should be eliminated from that holy Church . . .The poor would not envy the rich because there would be no rich. Neither would the poor be despised by the rich, for there would be no poor. All things would be in common.
If this were done now, we should live more pleasant lives, both rich and poor, nor would it be more pleasant to the poor than to the rich themselves. And if you please, let us now for awhile depict it in words, and derive at least this pleasure from it, since you have no mind for it in your actions. For at any rate this is evident, even from the facts which took place then, that by selling their possessions they did not come to be in need, but made them rich that were in need.
However, let us now depict this state of things in words, and let all sell their possessions, and bring them into the common stock. How much gold think you would be collected?
For my part, I conjecture — for of course it is not possible to speak exactly — that supposing all here, men and women, to empty out their whole property, lands, possessions, houses — for I will not speak of slaves, since at that time there was no such thing, but doubtless such as were slaves they sat at liberty — perhaps ten hundred thousand pounds weight of gold would be the amount collected: nay, twice or thrice as much.
But if we had made actual trial of this, then indeed we should boldly venture upon this plan (τοὕ πράγματος). What grace too, think you, would there not be! For if at that time, when there was no believer but only the three thousand and the five thousand: when all, throughout the world, were enemies, when they could nowhere look for comfort, they yet boldly entered upon this plan with such success; how much more would this be the case now, when by the grace of God there are believers everywhere throughout the world? What Gentile would be left?
For my part, I think there would not be one: we should so attract all, and draw them to us? But yet if we do but make fair progress, I trust in God that even this shall be realized. Only do as I say, and let us successfully achieve things in their regular order; if God grant life, I trust that we shall soon bring you over to this way of life..."
This was the good father's recommendation for helping to initiate a Second Pentecost and the full conversion of the Gentiles.

Hi Mark;
I don't know if I personally can decipher anything from the writings, i but over the years I have found two interpreters who seemingly have made some interesting interpretations and deciphers. Some quatrains BECOME UNDERSTANDABLE AFTER their fulfillment. and i think that there has been a decade-long interuption in that no quatrains addressed anything during this time period.
BUT NOW there are many subjects that might be thought as being addressed.
for example, Nostradamus seems to state that WW3 started with the invasion of Libia and the killing of Muammar Gaddafi.
he seemingly makes the case for Obama being a terrible entity who is not off the world stage as yet.
that a war which will last 27 years between muslim's and non

Colin, that was a pretty interesting quote, but... the rights as well as duties of both capital and labour were set out pretty clearly in Rerum novarum by Pope Leo XIII (which has been referenced and expounded upon in otger encyckicals by every pope since, which would suggest it's binding doctrine as far as how doctrine is seen to develop).
But nonetheless, this viewpoint from such an esteemed luminary of the Church wpuld defunitely make many right-wing Catholics feel faint!
I am probably what you'd call a "right-wing" Catholic (though I abhor the phrase for it's simplistic inaccuracy). I am not in the least bit faint.
Just thought you should know.
colin; who knows how it would be interpreted today?
i.e.
https://veritas-vincit-international.org/2018/10/31/pope-francis-uses-a-stang-during-the-opening-mass-of-the-youth-synod/
During the opening Mass of the Synod of Bishops on the Youth on October 3, Pope Francis carried during Mass a strange, forked, bamboo-like staff with bizarre connections to occultism, instead of the expected traditional Christian cross.
The gesture has caused a lot of controversy online, with many commentators questioning why the Pope chose to open a major Church event by holding up not the crucifix of Our Lord Jesus Christ, but a strange, forked staff that has no visible connections with any Christian symbolism.
I think it's interesting about St. Michael's sword Jason, and the fact that it closely parallels the path of the 1999 solar eclipse which crossed ancient Nineveh. The next prophetic event on the horizon I feel is the earth swallowing up the flood sent forth from the mouth of the Dragon to sweep the Woman away. We are most definitely at this point - when the Church seems almost at the point of total collapse. This is related to the miracle at Chonae, when the Archangel Michael opened up a giant chasm to swallow up a flood that had been sent forth to destroy the Church of St. Archippus, the bishop of Laodicea. I believe this was enacted prophecy related to the events of Rev 12 and speaks directly to our time. I've been pointing to the significance of the miracle of Chonae for some time now here in the com box. "The earth" signifies those outside the Church coming to its aid.

Hi Jason,
Oh, I quite agree!
But I just couldn't help posting it because the candour of St. John's animus against private property is illuminating with regards to the idealism of the early church and its irreconcilability with modern day capitalism.
While his call for complete abolition of individual ownership is not doctrinally sound today, I feel there is surely 'something' there, given that he connects it to the Second Pentecost and the full conversion of the Gentiles.
The first Pentecost did, after all, involve common ownership of property in the Jerusalem Church - thereafter reserved for the monastic life. Consider what Pope John XXII had to say about that in his bull Quia vir reprobus (1329):
"Since, therefore, it first says that all things were common among the believers and afterwards adds that fields and houses were sold, it clearly appears that those things had been made common before they were sold; for otherwise it would follow that they remained proper to those to whom they had belonged before, and consequently that they had remained owners before the sale: whereas the Scripture says the opposite when it says, “None of them said that anything he possessed was his”…No believer had individual ownership in respect of the time of which the Scripture speaks.""
I don't quite know if or how this might foreshadow events in a Second Pentecost while remaining consist with Rerum Novarum and other modern encyclicals but I reckon that it's worth mulling over.
Earlier church teaching and patristic literatre, as in the bull above, has been "developed" or clarified by subsequent magisterial pronouncements but I don't think we can simply discard it out-of-hand,
Mark,
I wasn't referring to Catholics of any particular theological hue but rather to political conservatives in the secular sense of the term.
I CAN understand how the literal understanding of the bible causes so much of a difference in understanding of a tradition based interpretation. The church fails us in presenting this difference and why regarding conclusions.
it is informative but loses me when it gets to this rapture idea before the end of the world. still, I think worthwhile as an educational tool regarding the Bibles contents.
I should perhaps note, in relation to my above posts, that renunciation of personal possessions is an evangelical counsel and not a command - that is, it is a voluntary decision only for those who wish to be perfect in this life.
But my question is: if we get to a stage where masses of the faithful, in a Second Pentecost, desire to live by the "counsels of perfection", could we not see what St. Francis of Assisi did happen on a colossal scale (i.e. minimalism, spartan living) among the laity?
This could fulfil St. John Chrysostom's prediction that "I trust in God that even this shall be realized".
Good morning, Colin,
No sweat. It still applies to me, and I have not yet taken to my fainting couch.
:)
As to your last post, I'd say, yes - absolutely. The thing is, we don't know what form things will take as time goes on. I'm amazed at how subtle some things have turned out. Where I expected bold strokes, with earthquakes, fires and great winds, it's been a still small voice that's taking us through the book of the Apocalypse. So, while I agree that you could see a colossal scale of Franciscan or Benedictine type living, I wonder at times if that colossal scale might be accomplished with infinite subtlety. So much so that we may not even realize we've arrived until we reach the end of the journey.
And just to throw a wrench into things (and I do attempt to maintain my sense of humor), my wife and I made a conscious decision to live simply many years ago. I was offered a path of promotion and comfort about 15 years back. I turned it down to keep my family together (it's a longer story than you want to read, trust me). We've given up financial rewards for...other things of greater substance. So there are some political and liturgical conservatives that get it. To be honest, though, there are just as many conservatives that get it as liberals. There is no great depth of understanding on either side, at least at times. To offer an imperfect analogy - it will be interesting to see how hard both side's necks snap back when the leash is finally pulled.
Dear Emmetr, thanks for the link to that story, that somehow flew under my radar all this time, it certainly makes the imagery much less ambiguous!
So if we are in the time of the flood about to be swalliwed up, would it be fair to expect that the next "big" event prophesied to take place would be the conversion of the great northern European power from protestantism to Catholicism? I'm loathe to indulge in date-setting-like predictions, but this event scheduled for 2020 keeps jumping on out:
http://catholicherald.co.uk/news/2017/09/14/england-to-be-re-dedicated-as-dowry-of-mary/
I think that possibly St. John C's idea of surrendering personal property, because it IS a charism and not a command, would be most aptly applied to the clerical and religious orders. The Jesuits, for instance, possess great wealth as an order, even though individuals within that order take vows of poverty. I suspect that they, along with many other orders, would be well advised to divest themselves of some of that wealth, keeping only enough to keep things running, with a little extra to cover emergencies. As for the prelates...whatever else one may think about Pope Francis, he does have the right idea in living simply, eschewing the palatial residences to which his rank entitles him, something he did even as a bishop in Argentina. Perhaps if bishops did not have access to so much personal wealth and luxury, they might not be so susceptible to corruption.

Code ICD 9 E 978 Makes Execution by Guillotine Legal Under Obamacare
https://www.liveleak.com/view?i=907_1385505780
Chris - this is actually from the WHO, and I remember seeing it a few years back. The International Classification of Diseases (ICD), 9th edition, is where it comes from. The US, and most western countries, subscribed to ICD9. It's been in force since 1979 (BLAME CARTER!!) There was a change in 2014 that moved from ICD9 to ICD10, so this is no longer in force. That's probably where the whole Obamacare thing came from.
US federal and state laws trump anything the WHO says anyway.
But it does indicate that, according to international treaty, a doctor cannot bill an insurance company for beheading by guillotine as there is no code for it. Take heart - at least the doctor that prescribes it won't get paid.
Mark,
thanks!!!!

COAST TO COAST AM OFFICIAL
Published on Nov 1, 2018
COAST TO COAST AM. Researcher and photographer Barrie Schwortz talked about the history and meaning of the Shroud of Turin-- a linen cloth that many believe was the burial shroud of Jesus. He also reacted to a new report by Giulio Fanti, a professor of mechanical and thermal measurement at Padua University, that the Shroud fabric does indeed date back to the time of Jesus. While Schwortz was pleased to hear positive news about the Shroud, after many claims that it's a forgery, he said there were questions as to whether Fanti had access to a valid sample of the cloth for testing. What do you believe about the Shroud?
it's about half of this program
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mke8mUKosaY
this is all shroud
The Shroud of Turin is a centuries old linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man. A man that millions believe to be Jesus of Nazareth. Is it really the cloth that wrapped his crucified body, or is it simply a medieval forgery, a hoax perpetrated by some clever artist? Modern science has completed hundreds of thousands of hours of detailed study and intense research on the Shroud. It is, in fact, the single most studied artifact in human history, and we know more about it today than we ever have before. And yet, the controversy still rages. This web site will keep you abreast of current research, provide you with accurate data from the previous research and let you interact with the researchers themselves. We believe that if you have access to the facts, you can make up your own mind about the Shroud.

I remembered some Nostradamus stuff that I find interesting.
one is a quatrain that speaks of troubles when a Cardinal is abducted at sea. something to watch for and see if it is a hit and more interesting is the name Thrasybulus.
he, nosti, predicts a general that will fight for and rebuild the government.
Thrasybulus (/ˌθræsɪˈbjuːləs/; Greek: Θρασύβουλος, Thrasyboulos; "brave-willed"; c. 440 – 388 BC) was an Athenian general and democratic leader. In 411 BC, in the wake of an oligarchic coup at Athens, the pro-democracy sailors at Samos elected him as a general, making him a primary leader of the successful democratic resistance to that coup. As general, he was responsible for recalling the controversial nobleman Alcibiades from exile, and the two worked together extensively over the next several years. In 411 and 410, Thrasybulus commanded along with Alcibiades and others at several critical Athenian naval victories.
After Athens' defeat in the Peloponnesian War, Thrasybulus led the democratic resistance to the new oligarchic government, known as the Thirty Tyrants, which the victorious Spartans imposed on Athens. In 404 BC, he commanded a small force of exiles that invaded the Spartan-ruled Attica and, in successive battles, defeated first a Spartan garrison and then the forces of the oligarchy. In the wake of these victories, democracy was re-established at Athens. As a leader of this revived democracy in the 4th century BC, Thrasybulus advocated a policy of resistance to Sparta and sought to restore Athens' imperial power. He was killed in 388 BC while leading an Athenian naval force during the Corinthian War.
he must be a wartime officer to qualify.
Patraeus seems to meet the requirements
lastly nosti hints at the end of the english monarchy as being very close.
Did anyone else see this:
https://spiritdaily.org/blog/news/biblical-prophecy-comes-true-as-snake-crawls-out-of-western-wall
I don't know anything about the source of this story. There seems to be only a single source out there, and a bunch of tabloids are quoting it.
Thanks, Chris. Someone being abducted while at sea would be easily spotted. I wonder if there's an alternative version.
Since late summer, when crisis very publicly engulfed the Church, I've been given great solace and strength by Cardinal Sarah's book, 'The Power of Silence.' I find it interesting that (as far as I'm aware) he's kept out of the game of accusation and counter accusation and continued to speak mainly on prayer and the spiritual life. To be honest, I think he's head and shoulders above any other public figure in the Church at the moment. It's like he's on a different level. The wisdom, depth and perceptiveness displayed in 'The Power of Silence' is really second to none. I don't know what you think, but it's hard for me to conceive that a man of such clarity, insight and palpable holiness doesn't have a providential role to play of some kind.
So glad you brought up Cardinal Sarah. He seems to get a rap (whether it's bad or good I'd leave up to the reader) as being "right-wing", but I think he instead typifies a spirituality that transcends the political tags, and he stands out to me as how the "young" Church of the global South is standing up to the new colonization, one of a cultural colonization the West is trying to impose in traditional societies mores and values that are antithetical to them, as they should be to all orthodox Catholics, left, right and middle politically. While I think Pope Francis has been doing a much better job than he's been given credit for, especially in raising other parts of Catholic doctrine i.e. the social doctrine laid out by Leo XIII as the biggest example, I'd be very much delighted if Cardinal Sarah became pontiff eventually.
I was quite into Nostradamus when I was younger, the one quatrain that still resonates for me is the one where (depending upon the translation and interpretation) is that a new Genghis Khan-type figure (Genghis Khan being known best for ravaging the Christian and Muslim worlds, with Western Europe being spared through what looked like Divine Providence) would rise in the year 1999. It seems to dovetail with the message of La Salette, the date set by Maximin Giraud in particular, which is one of the only reasons it piques my interest. While not indicting either of them, it is noteworthy that 1999 was "the" pivotal year for the rises of both Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping (who both would be amongst the most likely candidates for such a figure if Nostradamus' prediction is actually accurate).
I know this is probably spurious, given that I saw the headline on a tabloid magazine at a grocery checkout, but the headline in question is poking at a prophecy: It says that Queen Elizabeth is dying and has stepped down, and that Prince Charles is being forced to step aside in favor of Prince William. I read somewhere on line, not long ago, that this very thing might be in the offing in the UK. Thoughts?
I've seen stuff like that too, JMC. Elizabeth II will not step down. She sees it as her God-given duty to remain. And she also sees it as Charles' duty to take over after.
But if Elizabeth II ever steps down, that's when you ask, "what have they done with the real Elizabeth?"
Thanks, Mark. Yeah, I kind of thought the same thing; in fact, it was later today when I saw an article on MSN about a statement she made about never abdicating. Perhaps the article was run in response to that very tabloid. ;D
I dont think QEII would ever abducate in a million years, but in Csnada where the publuc has a near obsession with British royalty (more than any other Commmonwealth country I'd guess), and the almost general consensus in all the Royals-watching magazines and tabloids, kind of the grocery check-out line conventional wisdom is that the successor QEII has name will be William, bypassing Charles. I think more of the folks that seem really, really into the Royal family where I live would be more surprised if King Charles III ever happens rather than if it never does (though admittedly I have no clue what the underlying reason for that is alleged to be).
we have all read Catholic Prophecy that mentions Westphalia in the latter times.. i don't know why or how as yet , but it seems this might be an identifying moment towards that end.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been leader of the CDU for 18 years
AFP
29 Oct 201812911
Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel is to relinquish control of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in December, sources have claimed, after yet another humiliating performance in a regional election Sunday.
In 1992, the ever-evolving European empire signed the Maastricht Treaty. This new agreement came into force in 1993, changing the name of the Common Market to the European Union and establishing a common European currency—the euro. It also called for Europe to have its own president, foreign minister and constitution.
on November 19, 2009, Herman Von Rompuy of Belgium was chosen to be Europe’s first permanent president, and Cathy Ashton of Great Britain became Europe’s first foreign minister. All of the pieces of the European Union were now in place. The Holy Roman Empire was re-born!
is the Leopard in daniel's rev about germny?
Are we seeing it start?
this is strictly a literal interpretation given animals assigned to represent a country..ie an eagle for the usa
Hi Chris,
I am of the opinion that if any of the prophecies (i.e. Don Bosco, Holzhauser, La Salette etc.) which refer to a 'Great Monarch' have some validity, then it is probable that such a figure would become the leader of the European Union, since it is a modern incarnation of the Holy Roman Empire.
It should not be forgotten that European integration was originally spearheaded by Catholic politicians in the early 1950s, with strong encouragement from Pope Pius XII (who actually called for the creation of a 'European Union' in 1948).
Westphalia, or rather the Treaty of Westphalia (1648) which ended the Thirty Years War between Protestant nationalists and predominantly Catholic supporters of the Empire, is indeed key to this.
The Vatican detested the Treaty of Westphalia when it was signed in 1648:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_of_Westphalia
The Peace of Westphalia (German: Westfälischer Friede) was a series of peace treaties signed between May and October 1648…
The Peace of Westphalia established the precedent of peaces established by diplomatic congress,[4][5] and** a new system of political order in central Europe, later called Westphalian sovereignty, based upon the concept of co-existing sovereign states**. Inter-state aggression was to be held in check by a balance of power. A norm was established against interference in another state’s domestic affairs. As European influence spread across the globe, these Westphalian principles, especially the concept of sovereign states, became central to international law and to the prevailing world order…
The Holy See was very displeased at the settlement, with Pope Innocent X in Zelo Domus Dei[14] reportedly calling it "null, void, invalid, iniquitous, unjust, damnable, reprobate, inane, empty of meaning and effect for all time"
When it finally received an opportunity to (at long last!) effectively “dismantle” or at least “degrade” the legacy of the Treaty in Europe after the Second World War, the Vatican practically leapt at the first chance under the papacy of Pius XII:

The Life and Pontificate of Pope Pius XII
By Frank Coppa
"…In his Christmas message of December 1948, Pope Pius XII once more rejected the dogma of absolute state sovereignty that had prevailed since the Peace of Westphalia in 1648 and invoked an alternative.
The resistance to political integration and the fierce determination of a number of states to protect their national sovereignty led Europeanists such as the French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman, and the economist Jean Monnet to call for economic integration…"

ADDRESS OF JOHN PAUL II
ON THE OCCASION OF THE RECEPTION
OF THE INTERNATIONAL CHARLEMAGNE PRIZE
OF THE CITY OF AACHEN (GERMANY)
Wednesday, 24 March 2004
Aware that the Catholic Church has at heart the union of Europe, you have come here to honour the Successor of Peter with the International Charlemagne Prize. If I am able to receive this Prize today, conferred in an extraordinary and unique way, I do so with gratitude to Almighty God, who has filled the European people with the spirit of reconciliation, peace and unity.
The Prize, awarded by the City of Aachen for laudable efforts to promote Europe, has very fittingly taken the name of the Emperor Charlemagne. Indeed, the King of the Franks, who established Aachen as the capital of his kingdom, made an essential contribution to the political and cultural foundations of Europe and therefore deserved the nickname Pater Europae (father of Europe) that his contemporaries gave him. The felicitous combination of classical culture and Christian faith with the traditions of various peoples took place in Charlemagne’s empire and developed in various forms down the centuries as the spiritual and cultural legacy of Europe. Even if modern Europe presents in many aspects a new reality, we can nevertheless recognize the highly symbolic value of the historical figure of Charlemagne.
Today, Europe’s growing unity also includes other fathers. On the one hand, we must not underestimate those active thinkers and politicians who have given and who give priority to the joint reconciliation and growth of their peoples, instead of insisting on their own rights and on exclusion.
In this context, I would like to recall those who have been awarded the Prize so far; we can greet some of them who are present here. The Apostolic See recognizes and encourages their activities and the commitment of many other personalities to the peace and unity of the European peoples.
My special thanks go to those who have put all their efforts at the service of building the common European House on the foundations of the values passed on by the Christian faith as well as on those of Western culture.
Since the Holy See is located in Europe, the Church has special relations with the peoples of this Continent. Therefore, from the very beginning the Holy See has been involved in the process of European integration. After the horrors of the Second World War, my Predecessor, Pius XII of venerable memory, demonstrated the keen interest of the Church by explicitly supporting the idea of forming a “European union”, leaving no doubts about the fact that for such a union to be valid and lasting, it is necessary first of all to go back to Christianity as a factor that creates identity and unity (cf. Address of 11 November 1948 to the Union of European Federalists in Rome).
the US stronger sanctions on Iran become in play today, the 4th, and with the increased talk of China in the South China Sea and Taiwan, as well as Russia eliminating the USdollar and reacting to nuclear placements in the nato country's, I for one have accepted that the Press is part of this New World Order as it informs us of ABSOLUTELY nothing of any merit. The news only wants to tell us of gun violence in schools as it addresses the youth to vote but says nothing of Black men being killed without merit. I am starting to fear that we are further down the rabbit hole than I realized.
Interesting reading but the dots placed in line point to an entry of a black swan in the pond
I will read and pursue this info. great stuff
thanks Colin!!
This info has stirred some memories of the Westphalia idea, and I recall reading of split Germany's at war with each other. it has been some time. i will try to find some books which talk about this.
the literal interpretation, that I referenced, uses Germany as the center of a reorganized europen union and gave examples that used the four-headed monster an being german pasts.. again I will try to find these as for some reason the article has raised some relevance to today for me.
I will reread Emmett's book regarding these things to bring them into our Catholic perspective.. this is why i value this site.
ALSO;
1948; 1967; now 70-year anniversary and Trump puts the capital of Israel officially in Jerusalem!!!!
I am very much of the opinion that a major happening is very close which will end in an increase of land for Israel.

"...European Union, since it is a modern incarnation of the Holy Roman Empire."
Any idea where this idea came from? I've seen it before, but never found a source.
It's always struck me as being very odd. The founding of the Holy Roman Empire and the founding of the EU have few if any parallels. The basis for the existence of the Holy Roman Empire and the EU don't have any parallels that I know of. And the philosophical ideals behind the Holy Roman Empire were radically different than the ..... do we even call them philosophical ideals .... behind the EU.
To get the rebirth of the Holy Roman Empire out of the EU would require such a dramatic subversion of what the EU is and stands for, that you wouldn't even recognize it as being related to the EU.
I've never figured out where this connection really comes from.
as a quick response nebuchadnezar has a dream which daniel interprets. as far as i know, this is the first identification of it as rome is labbeled as the existing power. the image of the beast with legs and toes of clay and iron places the same ruling power into the last days. daniel shows the worlds ruling powers which will govern until christ's return.
It seemed that the Roman Empire died but that dream was brought back to life when Pope Leo III crowned Charlemagne the first emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 800 AD. and then
dead after Napoleon defeated Francis II in 1806.
now the previou info is showing a third revival.
also with the illegal fed running the us money supply and after all the years of warning it seems with Russia and China not buying us bonds and even more important , with the Saudi king dying, the deal Nixon made about the dollar being the petro dollar in oil trading all the dominoes are lined up for the USA getting thrown off the scene as the worlds dominant power..
So will the union become that power?
It seems a case can be made for the Bible saying just that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LASTLY
europe seems to think this is true. Charlemagne's image was placed on the ECU, their coin.
the EU's headquarters in Belgium is called the Charlemagne Building

The European Union (EU) parliament, consisting of 785 members, is in Brussels, Belgium. Quite magnificent, is it not? Interestingly, the seat numbered 666 is never occupied. Perhaps they are leaving it open for someone special? ... The Antichrist!
EMPTY SEAT NUMBER 666
The Vacant Seat Number 666 in the European Parliament
The Tower Building (named after the Tower of Babel) houses the Fifth Parliament of Europe. It is certainly a building of the Space Age. The seats are designed like the crew seats in the Star Trek space machines. The legislative amphitheater is arranged in a massive hemicircle and has 679 seats, each assigned to a particular lawmaker. For example, Seat 663 is assigned to Rep Souchet, 664 to Thomas-Mauro, 665 to Zizzner and 667 to Rep Cappato.
While these seats are allocated to Members, one seat remains unallocated and unoccupied. The number of that seat is 666. The relevant section of the seating-plan provided to each Member reads as follows:
660 Marchiani
661 Montfort
662 Quiero
663 Souchet
664 Thomas-Mauro
665 Zizzner
666 -------
667 Cappato
668 Turco
669 Bonino

Sinkholes on the Temple Mount: Illegal Waqf Construction or Prophetic Awakening?
By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz November 5, 2018 , 2:47 pm
On that day, He will set His feet on the Mount of Olives, near Yerushalayimon the east; and the Mount of Olives shall split across from east to west, and one part of the Mount shall shift to the north and the other to the south, a huge gorge. Zechariah 14:4 (The Israel Bible™)
Just got a letter from the FBI. Malachi Martin does not have an FBI file. The search turned-up nothing. I have to say that I didn't expect such a file to exist, but wouldn't have been surprised if it did.
I'm actually rather glad that he never made it on the FBI's radar.
I also got a letter from the FBI on Bella Dodd. Unfortunately, her file is vast. There would be multi-departmental research and a ton of copying. The fees are beyond me right now.
As for that site about the EU, to me what's more disturbing than all the rest is the poster promoting the construction of the Tower Building, with a ring of inverted pentagrams above the depiction of the Tower. Of course, I don't know if the ring actually appears on the poster, or if they were superimposed on the picture by whoever posted that article.
.
Whether or not it's true, I don't know. I only know that I've never been comfortable with the EU. Back in the 1990s, the day the EU was announced, I got a bad case of the creeps, and it hasn't stopped to this day.

I dont want to start an argument over the allegedly empty 666 seat, but Eva Lichtenberger currently has that seat in the EU, so it's not vacant or empty in any way right now. Maybe it's an honest mistake, but the websites promoting this "reserved" 666 seat at the very best aren't working from current fact.
On a practical note, I've often thought of hiw easy it may be to confuse a Great Monarch from the true Antichrust in the future (e.g. depending on what prophecies you give weight to, both the Great Monarch and the Antichrist have been predicted as saving Europe from a military invasion by Islamic majority nations). Has anyone else ever wondered about this, like, if a true Great Monarch appeared (especially if they're the legitimate heir of Blessed Charles of Austria), I could definitely see, as an example, any Protestant friends of mine seeing such a thing as the revival of the Austrian monarchy as looking like the Antichrist rather than some "Great Monarch" they've never evrn heard of.
I worry I could be susceptible myself either way to spiritual deception regarding Great Monarch vs. Antichrist if these things happen during my lifetime; has anyone else ever felt something similar?
jason
thanks for the update. the article was a little dated. may i ask where you got the updated info please??
thanks
If look Google "Eva Lichtenberger" or look her up on Wikipedia it shows this (I'm not sure what her particular political leanings are off-hand).
thanks, jason
wiki is a good source for a quick intro, but know that anyone can post on it and add to it so it is not a verified source..

yes, another one that's informative.. that is why I think this topic is so interesting.. when we or I will stick with myself, try to read the bible and decipher any meaning, I personally can see how interpretations come out as they do. we plug in Bible-related meanings and over the years understandings of the names of different county's.
Then when we read someone as Emmett's more academically informed interpretation, it makes more sense.
I remind myself where Daniel is told to seal up the book until the end when it will become more understandable. is it all to be understood as a lesson. why where the symbols country's which are now identifiable.
which is the end letter for all codes the 6-6-6 is this the beast which will become the power. is this the computer code seen 2000 years ago.
I guess we won't know until it becomes in your face obvious.. I do know it is possible to put anyone's face and speech on tv and not know it is not the real person. I think this has something to do with the beast becoming real.
and i worry about the USA being set up to implode and have plausible denial for the ruling scoundrels to take everyone's money and land.
if you own a car and don't pay they take the car. if you own a house and don't pay--they take your house. if you own a country and don't pay the debt that was put on your shoulders they take the country. it is getting closer and I think is how the EU becomes the final empire.
Apparently the truth of the matter with this 666 seat is that it was temporarily left vacant when the Christian Democrats were seated in that part of the chamber (whether they did it as a publicity stunt or out of some religious conviction I'm not sure). And Wikipedia was indeed out of date (which isn't I guess surprising considering how often the seating blocs shuffle around).
The current member in seat 666 is Davor Škrlec from Croatia... this handy interactive tool shows who sits where at any given time:
http://www.europarl.europa.eu/hemicycle/index.htm?lang=en&loc=str
Again, I don't want to rain on any parade, but facts are important if you want to be taken seriously is the point. Conspiracy theories with zero basis in reality can hurt credibility.
Jason; my goodness. please don't take me seriously! I scan the stories of the day and if it looks interesting to the subject I post it.
please send me the site address where everything is true. I asked cnn but they won't give it to me.
i
Fair enough, it's just a suggestion that checking sources might be a good thing; I know you'd never knowingly deceive anyone Chris, you're not that type of person, and your intentions are always beyond reproach.
Jason
I have to interrupt watching our corrupt election process and reporting to ask you how you can see a European union build a building to try to duplicate the tower of babel; Builds a statue that represents the woman in red harlot; actually leaves seat 666 open for close to a year and you think it's a conspiracy???????????????
sir i ask you to reconsider the actions
I have no stated position on any of those things you mentioned, so let's not try to conflate what my intention was by throwing in everything but the kitchen sink, lol.
All my point is and was is that the 666 seat conspiracy theory is very easily proved (it took a 30 second web search to show that for me at least) demonstably a fake news story. That's it.
If your answer to the proof of thst I provided is a mere, "Quid est veritas?", I guess thats kind of the ends the conversation. Again, my only comment was the fake story of this allegedly reserved 666 seat which is just total bunk. Also again, don't conflate that with anything else or assume my position or opinion on anything either based on one fabricated story; that's logically fallacious to do (muddying the waters).
If you don't care whether something you post is true or not, then that's kind of an end to the conversation as well.
Ahem, for the Eurosceptics in our midst, fresh news today:

German conservative emerges as early front-runner for EU’s top job
HELSINKI, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Manfred Weber, a reserved Bavarian who has modelled himself on Germany’s pragmatic chancellor, won the backing of Europe’s centre-right parties on Thursday to stand in the race to become European Commission president in 2019.
Weber, a German EU lawmaker, beat former Finnish prime minister Alexander Stubb to become the European People’s Party’s (EPP) top candidate in the European Parliament elections next May. That makes him an early front-runner for the EU’s most influential job, the head of the bloc’s executive, which proposes legislation and negotiates free-trade deals.
“The campaign starts here in Helsinki,” said Weber, a 46-year-old, guitar-playing Catholic who leads the EPP group in the European Parliament.
“We are bridge-builders, let’s use this momentum. Then we will win in May 2019,” he told delegates, emulating German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s language and cautious style of compromise.
It was a tone Weber used throughout his bid to become the successor to outgoing EU Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker, also of the EPP.
Here’s his profile, from 2014 when he became leader of the European People’s Party in the EU Parliament:

Weber is also distinct on policy. He is firmly in the CSU mainstream when it comes to value issues; there is no doubting his social conservatism and his deeply-ingrained Catholicism. He is a member of the state committee of Catholics in Bavaria, the main lay body steering the church’s activities in the state. But where some of Weber’s fundamental beliefs really come to the surface is in the debate about Europe.
“The EU is based on an ever-closer union of European peoples. That is set out in the treaties. It is not negotiable for us,” Weber told a German newspaper.

Europe’s rightwing parties will on Thursday choose their candidate to lead next year’s European election campaign, with Germany’s Manfred Weber the hot favourite. The European People’s Party (EPP), the largest in the European Parliament, will decide...
Weber has an intricate knowledge of EU institutions but little experience in government in his homeland.
In his final speech before the vote, Weber took a swipe at critics who have accused him of pandering to anti-immigrant and far-right parties with some of his past comments on the Islamic headscarf and European identity.
Speaking fondly of his home village in Bavaria, in Germany’s conservative Roman Catholic south, Weber said Christianity was the “one thing in common” across Europe.
“When I use this picture I am heavily attacked in social media… when I remind about the Christian heritage of this continent, that this sounds so old-fashioned, so conservative, so backward looking,” he said.
“I tell you I don’t care. I think it is important to describe the fundamental values of this continent. We are proud of this and we will protect these values.”
Having won the nomination for centre-right candidate, Weber is likely going to be the next head of the EU executive, replacing Juncker as Commission President, should the Christian Democrats win the 2019 European Parliament elections (as they invariably have in recent years and are expected to do so again) and the European Council approves him.
Meanwhile, another devout Catholic named Merz is the front-runner in the race to take over from Merkel as German Chancellor, the Union’s largest Member State:

Back From the Wilderness, Merz Leads Race to Succeed Merkel
BERLIN (Reuters) - Businessman Friedrich Merz, back from the political wilderness, is taking an early lead in the race to succeed Angela Merkel as leader of Germany’s Christian Democrats (CDU) and secure the chance of running for chancellor - possibly even next year.
Merz was pushed out of his role as CDU parliamentary leader by Merkel in 2002 - a move that cemented her grip on the party on her way to becoming chancellor in 2005. Now, his bid for power - if successful - could precipitate her demise.
Merz has been out of the Bundestag since 2009, but retained a close and influential network of CDU contacts while pursuing a successful business career. The run-up to his jump back into frontline politics was long, well-timed and well-supported.
Aged 62, he is less than two years younger than Merkel but presents himself as the candidate of the future, drawing on the best of the past. He is widely known for a proposal to simplify the annual tax return so that it could be written on a beer mat.
"We need a re-awakening and renewal," Merz told reporters in Berlin last Wednesday when setting out his stall.
"I am a convinced economic liberal, a social conservative and a socially engaged person," he said, hitting the buttons that fire up CDU members, many of whom have become uneasy with Merkel’s centrist approach during her 13 years as chancellor.
One CDU lawmaker, yet to be convinced of Merz, described his pitch as “back to the roots” - a socially conservative, pro-business appeal to the party’s core of western, Catholic men who see Merkel - a Protestant woman from the east - as an anomaly.
So far, the right-wing pitch is working.
Polls show voters believe Merz is better placed to lead the conservatives than the other two declared candidates - CDU Secretary General Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, and Health Minister Jens Spahn.
Merz wants to win support with more of a vision, including a more detailed response to French President Emmanuel Macron’s proposals for deepening European integration.
Late last month, before announcing his run for the CDU leadership, Merz co-wrote an article calling for Germany to take “bold steps … to make the economic and monetary union stronger”.
There's a reason that the original founders of the EU back in the early 1950s - Schumann, De Gaspari, Monnet and Adenauer - were all practising Catholics.
Merz's policy positions in more detail:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Merz#Political_positions
Friedrich Merz has focused on economic policy, foreign and security policy and family policy. He has described himself as socially conservative and economically liberal, and is seen as a representative of the conservative and pro-business wings of the CDU.[3] In 2018 he described himself as “a truly convinced European, a convinced transatlanticist” and said that "I stand for a cosmopolitan Germany whose roots lie in Christian ethics and the European Enlightenment and whose most important political allies are the democracies of the West. I gladly use this expression again: The democracies of the West."[24][4] In 2018 he co-authored an article in defence of the European project, which among other things called for “an army for Europe.”[26]

Europe’s conservatives nominate Manfred Weber for EU top job
The European People’s Party nominated their parliamentary leader as the next president of the European Commission.
Weber, the German leader of the EPP grouping in the European Parliament, will be the center-right party’s Spitzenkandidat or “lead candidate” in the European Parliament election to be held in May. The grouping — which is the largest in the Parliament — aims to retain control of the EU’s top post, currently held by Jean-Claude Juncker.
In his formal speech to the party plenary, Weber extolled European values: “I stand here not only to ask for your support as a candidate, but I stand here to ask you for a mandate, a mandate to change Europe!” He also stressed Europe’s Christian traditions, winning applause from the audience.
Yes, APPLAUSE.

The Anti-Christ movement is bigger than ever is this a fake-prophecy to awaken the push towards the coming of the false messiah? Let me know what you think in the comment-section below. The Third Temple is roumoured to be built any time soon and the Dead Sea is coming to life. When a snake appeared during a Jewish prayer at the Western Wall in Jerusalem last week many Jews saw this as a sign of the coming Messiah. We need to understand that everything that happens in real life has a greater meaning in the spiritual realm. An event like this puts even more fuel to the fire, and the Jews are going crazy about this in Israel and the News are rapidly spreading. The Anti-Christ will come and will desieve many, Don't fall for it! Jesus Christ the true Messiah will come back in full glory and power, be prepared! NOTE: I don't see this as a biblical prophecy, this can in fact be a false prophecy to push the anti-christ agenda and the building of the third temple.

as a qualifier, I do not champion these conclusions; however, I have found so much info regarding the Bible's writings and other religion's interpretations
but I have attended a few workshops of Catholic priests and churches regarding these subjects and the teachings are all -- all-presented as figurative and don't want to discuss individual verse.. not as an argumentative action but as an insight into Catholic thought
it is very difficult, at least for me and my area in the NE of the USA to find a course which intersects the two thoughts on this time.
so i present for info only and am trying to learn
can you begin to understand that global climate change has been a cover for what governments, including the USA, are doing to change patterns in their own country.
I can bring up a speech by JFK in the 60's to show they were doing it then with the aim to control all weather in the future.

RAIN MAKERS China ‘will move clouds and make it rain in different places using satellites’ in terrifying weather control plan
The revelation confirms years of strange rumours that China might be meddling with the world's weather
The whole climate change thing is interesting, Chris. A few years ago, I ran across someone that claimed to have evidence that governments were trying to manipulate the weather. He cited certain docs from the UN as proof. "That should be easy to disprove," I thought. "I can find UN records and see if they really say anything on this subject at all." So the search began. This was maybe six or seven years ago.
Well, my attempt to disprove it failed utterly. I did indeed find UN docs that talked about testing such stuff. They were testing the use of an aerosolized form of aluminum to stop global warming. They thought that aluminum released high in the atmosphere would reflect some solar radiation, thus lowering the potential temperature increases. The study failed. They determined that using military aircraft wasn't good enough as they were too small. It's all right there in the UN online archives.
Then, about three years ago, I read something about aluminum being found in high concentrations in declining honey bee populations. So the same damned UN know-it-alls that wanted to forestall global warming are now killing off the one part of the food chain that we can't do without.
Please, Lord, don't make us wait much longer. We're way too stupid.

i won't try to explain the mechanism. however, in general terms, there is a chemical mix which can be placed with accuracy at certain altitudes, which in effect becomes a reflective mirror. add to this energy mass ie Tesla and we have a way to influence weather . there is so much info available it is downright scary. don't we see this every week on 60 minutes??

The criminalization of science whistleblowers: A mind-blowing interview with Judy Mikovits, PhD
Natural News) In one of the most shocking science videos you’ll see this year, molecular biologist Judy A. Mikovits, PhD, reveals the disturbing true story of how she was thrown in prison for blowing the whistle on deadly viral contamination of human vaccines.
"Oh, brother, wait until this news gets out to the farmers and beekeepers! Some of them may well storm the UN building in New York if what some Catholic bloggers are seeing about things pointing to the impending outbreak of civil war in the US is accurate."
You should go to the shooting range down the street from me. Talk has been like that since the election in 2008. The thing about the conservative side of this conversation is that they love this country and wouldn't go down that path unless someone else went there first. They would react, but not act.
But what we see now is about as far as it will ever go. You don't see ANTIFA riots in Texas, South Carolina, Florida or Alabama, and you don't see Militia groups in Oregon, California or Maryland.
I found this Rasmussen poll very scary, so very little faith in the rule of law: "59% of all voters are concerned that those opposed to President Trump’s policies will resort to violence, with 33% who are Very Concerned."
With just 2 days ago the beatification of the American Brother James Miller martyred in 1982 in Guatemala, it's just hard to imagine the kind of death squads that operated in Central America operating in America in tge future, esp. when it comes to political murder of judges, clergy, religious, prosecutors, opposing politicians, etc.
Do you think it could really come to that level of physical violence Mark?
Is it possible? Sure. Is it probable? I think there is virtually no chance.
Think for a second about this Rasmussen "poll". Trump supporters are generally the law-and-order types. In general terms, they're the least likely to go outside the law and resort to violence. So this poll will depend a great deal on who was questioned. Remember, when they say "all voters", that's an extrapolation. Without knowing exactly who was polled, it's useless.
Another thing to factor in: In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, local and state law enforcement demanded that citizens surrender their firearms without due process. It was a limited, small scale, and situational thing, but it happened. This was local and state of Louisiana law enforcement. There were federal forces there to help as well (I got out of the Coast Guard Auxiliary two weeks before Katrina hit New Orleans, so I knew some of the people there. My unit ultimately reported to District 8 HQ in New Orleans). Federal forces refused to confiscate any firearms as it was a violation of the constitution. The federal units were from Utah and Texas. So we have a liberal state violating the constitution with conservative states upholding it. Same idea with the Trump supporters in the poll above. They'd be the least likely to violate the constitution and the first to demand it's enforcement.
On the other hand, we do have examples of the left advocating violence.
Could I find 2000 registered voters in the US to represent "all American voters", 65% of which were skewed to frightened Obama/Clinton supporters or snowflakes, that fear for their lives in the Trump world - sure. Piece o' cake. Maxine Waters would be the first on the list for the poll. Any average US college campus would be second.
And by way of full disclosure, I didn't vote for either Trump or Clinton. I voted for Darrell Castle of the Constitution Party. I'm a conservative, and thereby disenfranchised by both parties. Relative to the GOP and Demon-crats - A plague on both your houses.
Yeah, this is very true. This is why, back in the 1960s, the conservatives were referred to as the "silent majority;" they wouldn't go out and cause a ruckus the way the liberals (mostly anti-war protesters at the time) did. And these so-called "pacifists" were known to physically attack anyone who tried to cross their picket lines. I'll never forget the day my brother came home with his head bandaged because he tried to cross a picket line on his college campus to get to class. So their rhetoric is nothing but a smokescreen; the more hard-core among them will stoop to any means whatsoever, up to and including murder, to get their way.
.
Mark, I totally agree with you. No conservative - except possibly the crazier of the militias - would ever start such a fight. But there's a reason a lot of us adopted the "Don't Tread on Me" flag during the Obama administration.
I have a Gadsden flag in my den, JMC. :)
The weekend after Obama was elected, I installed a compost heap in my back yard. When the Trump/Clinton time came, I said I'd take it down if Trump won, and double its size if Clinton won.
The Rasmussen poll when it says all voters means exactly that, all voters (the question was an exit poll across the country on voting day), so there isn't any ambiguity to it like you inferred Mark. The idea that people are so afraid of left-wing violence just seems so odd to me when looking at actual incidents of violence (of all political violence in the US, around 10% is left-wing compared to 35% for right-wing based on the latest completely verified numbers, and the scale of right-wing attacks are much larger e.g. Oklahoma City). The facts just don't seem to bear out the fear of left-wing violence though the fear is sky-high.
No, Jason, you're quite off on this one. Have you ever done an exit poll in a US election? Many people tell the pollsters what the pollsters want to hear. They are under no obligation to be honest. I've flat refused to answer myself, but I know others who lied about their vote just to throw off the poll. If you're right, then every poll prediction would be accurate.
They test 2500 or so people that "represent" all Americans. They don't poll everyone. Those 2500 can be skewed very badly.

I could give you a hundred links for the sad state of polling in this country.
And I'm not even going to try to address your comment about left-wing violence here. There's not space, and you're clearly not paying attention. But keep in mind that the media saying right-wing violence is so much bigger than left wing violence is being reported by the very media that universally supports the left-wing activists in this country. And political violence doesn't have to be constrained to gunfire - rhetoric counts in this arena.
Emmet, thanks for excellent prophetic analysis. It gives me strength to daily live in hope, while enduring the madness of this hour in history. I use your book frequently.... Would you clarify a couple of points, some of which were mentioned in earlier comments?
Regarding Zec 3 scripture passage quoted earlier, it seems there is no perjorative judgement necessary or implied to Archbishop Vigano. That Vigano publicly exposed sexual sin in the heirarchy would not equate him with a Judas' betrayal nor with Satan the accuser. He simply fulfilled visibly on earth the spiritual reality which occurred in heaven.
"Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, O Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments. And the angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.” And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD was standing by."
Joshua the high priest's garments are soiled by his own sin, shown in the Lord's rebuke to Satan. As accuser, Satan's attempt at invoking God's justice fails because God had already plucked Joshua from the fire of purgation (or punishment). In the next section of Zechariah God prophetically proclaims the whole of salvific atonement, and connects the white stone of Jesus Christ to the Knock apparition and references in the book of Revelation.
I do not know if Vigano's allegations are true. But they are in keeping with the predictions of church approved Marian apparitions and visions of numerous Saints. From Hildegard to Fatima we have been warned to expect utter reprobation within the clergy, and that sin would center on issues of marriage, family, and sexual purity. That Vigano made public his charges on the very day you expected them seems to validate them, not discredit his testimony, nor imply that he does an unholy action as devil'sadvocate. Clearly now the average Catholic recognizes that significant clergy numbers have participated in promiscuity and predation, with many other heirarchy wittingly or unwittingly covering up that sin.
I find Vigano's letter appearing right on schedule, so to speak, means that we must be on the cusp of Joshua (our Pope) being reclothed with clean garments. This fits with St John Bosco's vision. What I ponder now is the meaning of "one day" in which righteousness will be returned to the land, when each shall sit under his fig tree.
It would take paragraphs to unpack St John Bosco's March of Days quote you referenced:
"Things follow too slowly upon each other, but the great Queen of Heaven is at hand; the Lord's power is Hers. Like mist She shall scatter Her enemies. She shall vest the Venerable Old Man with all his former garments. There shall yet come a violent hurricane. Iniquity is at an end, sin shall cease, and before two full moons shall have shone in the month of flowers, the rainbow of peace shall appear on the earth. The great Minister shall see the Bride of his King clothed in glory. Throughout the world a sun so bright shall shine as was never seen since the flames of the Cenacle until today, nor shall it be seen again until the end of time..."
The Queen of Heaven was shown in the September 2017 night sky, two full moons have shown (March 2018) and it appears peace (being drawn back from the brink of nuclear war Oct 2017) have all come to pass. We await the Great Minister (Pope?) to see the Bride (the Church) arrayed in glory.
Mark, if you don't believe in the scientific efficacy of statistical analysis then there is no conversation here. My first degree is a BAdmin where I majored in Finance which meant a large amount of courses in statistics (for use in quantitative analysis and portfolio management mostly), so I trust exit polling that is statistically significant. I really don't understand this bias against proven science, it's baffling to me.
P.s. Telling me I'm "clearly not paying attention" to left-wing violence, all I have to ssy to thst us I pay s log of attention to everything going on in this world... I don't see lefties in America training every weekend in the woods with heavy weaponry... maybe you need to take a hard look in your own mirror before getting personal like that especially.
I agree with pretty much 99% of the stuff you write Mark and highly respect your intellect and POV even though I have a different perspective, it woikd be nice to have the sane courtesy extended back rather than accusing me of ignorance. Just sayin'.
