The Recent Eruption at Cumbre Vieja and Sr. Lucia's 1944 Tuy Apparition

A lot of people have been contacting me recently, to ask my thoughts on the recent eruption of Cumbre Vieja in the Canary Islands, on 19th Sept, 2021 - the feast of Our Lady of La Salette. Some are worried that this could potentially result in the cataclysm that Sr. Lucia seen in a vision, during an apparition of Our Lady in 1944. It was during this apparition that the Blessed Virgin instructed Sr. Lucia to write down the contents of the Third Secret of Fatima. During a recent podcast with Fr. Richard Heilman and Doug Barry, I tried to explain how I'm not expecting the catastrophe seen in Sr. Lucia's 1944 apparition anytime soon, because of the significance of the katēchon of 2Thes 2:6-7 - the "restraining force" which holds back the appearance of the Antichrist. See around the 41 minute at this link: The Katechon and the Binding of Satan .

In my book Unveiling the Apocalypse: The Final Passover of the Church, I argue that Sr. Lucia's vision of the angel touching the earth with a flaming lance is connected with the eschatological earthquake described in Rev 16:

The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, “It is done!” Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. (Rev 16:17-19)
I felt my spirit flooded by a light-filled mystery which is God and in Him I saw and heard: the point of the flame-like lance which detaches, touches the axis of the earth and it [the earth] shakes: mountains, cities, towns and villages with their inhabitants are buried. The sea, rivers and clouds leave their bounds, they overflow, flood and drag with them into a whirlpool, houses and people in a number unable to be counted; it is the purification of the world from the sin it is immersed in. Hatred, ambition, cause destructive wars
(Sr. Lucia, Tuy, 1944. See Sr. Lucia's official biography by the Carmelites of Coimbra - A Pathway Under the Gaze of Mary)

The event seen by Sr. Lucia in her 1944 Tuy apparition is specifically connected with the fall of "Babylon", which is symbolized by an angel throwing a millstone into the sea in Rev 18:21:

Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said: "With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again."

This scriptural passage is in turn associated with the "great mountain, burning with fire" which St. John seen being thrown into the sea in Rev 8:8. In my book, I attempt to demonstrate that this burning mountain is closely associated with the seven burning mountains described in the Book of Enoch, which are identified with the Canary Islands. (See the blog post The Seven Burning Mountains of Enoch and the Canary Islands for further details).

As I state in the above podcast, I don't think that the events described in Sr. Lucia's 1944 vision will happen anytime soon, since they are concerned with the very end time itself. In the Book of Revelation, the fall of "Babylon" is directly connected with the rise to power of the Antichrist, who ascends to world dominance as a result of the power vacuum created by the downfall of the world's leading superpower. The appearance of the Antichrist is in turn held back by the katēchon - the "restraining force" mentioned by St. Paul:

Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things? And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming. (2Thes 2:5-8)

The Catechism of the Catholic Church associates the katēchon with the conversion of the Jews, thus identifying this "restraining force" with the ministry of the Prophet Elijah.

Since the Ascension Christ's coming in glory has been imminent, even though “it is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority”. This eschatological coming could be accomplished at any moment, even if both it and the final trial that will precede it are “delayed”. The glorious Messiah’s coming is suspended at every moment of history until his recognition by “all Israel”, for “a hardening has come upon part of Israel” in their “unbelief” toward Jesus. St. Peter says to the Jews of Jerusalem after Pentecost: "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for establishing all that God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old." St. Paul echoes him: "For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?" The "full inclusion" of the Jews in the Messiah's salvation, in the wake of "the full number of the Gentiles", will enable the People of God to achieve "the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ", in which "God may be all in all". (CCC 673-674)

Since the Catechism identifies the katēchon with the prophetic ministry of the Two Witnesses of Rev 11, then the appearance of the Antichrist can only take place once this "restraining force" has been removed. St. Paul states that the conversion of the Jews will only take place after the "bringing in of the fullness of the Gentiles", once the Gospel is proclaimed to the ends of the world:

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” (Rom 11:25-27)

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (Matt 24:12-14)

As I argue in my book, the bringing in of the fullness of the Gentiles during the proclamation of the Gospel to the ends of the earth can only happen at the end of the short time of Satan. In the above podcast, I attempt to explain that the duration of the short time of Satan appears to be associated with the 120 years described in Gen 6:3:

When men began to multiply on the face of the ground, and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were fair; and they took to wife such of them as they chose. Then the Lord said, “My spirit shall not abide in man for ever, for he is flesh, but his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.” The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown. (Gen 6:1-4)

According to the Book of Enoch, the Nephilim were the offspring of the Watchers - the fallen angels who were bound in Tartarus at the ends of the earth, at the location of the seven burning mountains. The Book of Enoch tells us that it was from this location that the waters of the abyss issued forth to bring about the events of Noah's flood:

And from thence I went to another place of the earth, and he showed me a mountain range of fire which burnt day and night. And I went beyond it and saw seven magnificent mountains all differing each from the other, and the stones thereof were magnificent and beautiful, magnificent as a whole, of glorious appearance and fair exterior: three towards the east, one founded on the other, and three towards the south, one upon the other, and deep rough ravines, no one of which joined with any other. And the seventh mountain was in the midst of these, and it excelled them in height, resembling the seat of a throne: and fragrant trees encircled the throne. And amongst them was a tree such as I had never yet smelt, neither was any amongst them nor were others like it: it had a fragrance beyond all fragrance, and its leaves and blooms and wood wither not for ever: and its fruit is beautiful, and its fruit resembles the dates of a palm. Then I said: ‘How beautiful is this tree, and fragrant, and its leaves are fair, and its blooms very delightful in appearance.’ Then answered Michael, one of the holy and honoured angels who was with me, and was their leader. And he said unto me: ‘Enoch, why dost thou ask me regarding the fragrance of the tree, and why dost thou wish to learn the truth?’ Then I answered him saying: ‘I wish to know about everything, but especially about this tree.’ And he answered saying: ‘This high mountain which thou hast seen, whose summit is like the throne of God, is His throne, where the Holy Great One, the Lord of Glory, the Eternal King, will sit, when He shall come down to visit the earth with goodness. And as for this fragrant tree no mortal is permitted to touch it till the great judgement, when He shall take vengeance on all and bring everything to its consummation for ever. (1Enoc 24; 25:1-4)
And after that he showed me the angels of punishment who are prepared to come and let loose all the powers of the waters which are beneath in the earth in order to bring judgement and destruction on all who abide and dwell on the earth. And the Lord of Spirits gave commandment to the angels who were going forth, that they should not cause the waters to rise but should hold them in check; for those angels were over the powers of the waters. (1Enoc 66)

And He will imprison those angels, who have shown unrighteousness, in that burning valley which my grandfather Enoch had formerly shown to me in the west among the mountains of gold and silver and iron and soft metal and tin. And I saw that valley in which there was a great convulsion and a convulsion of the waters. And when all this took place, from that fiery molten metal and from the convulsion thereof in that place, there was produced a smell of sulphur, and it was connected with those waters, and that valley of the angels who had led astray mankind burned beneath that land. And through its valleys proceed streams of fire, where these angels are punished who had led astray those who dwell upon the earth. (1Enoc 67:4-7)

So the binding of the fallen angels is closely associated with the 120 years described in Gen 6, which in turn parallels the period of the unbinding of Satan at the end of the "thousand years". Since St. Augustine of Hippo associated the period of Satan's unbinding with the "Sabbath Millennium" discussed by the Early Church Fathers, this concept is in turn related to the jubilee rest at the end of every 50 year cycle instructed in Lev 25:

Count off seven sabbath years—seven times seven years—so that the seven sabbath years amount to a period of forty-nine years. Then have the trumpet sounded everywhere on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement sound the trumpet throughout your land. Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each of you is to return to your family property and to your own clan. The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what growsof itself or harvest the untended vines. For it is a jubilee and is to be holy for you; eat only what is taken directly from the fields. “‘In this Year of Jubilee everyone is to return to their own property. “‘If you sell land to any of your own people or buy land from them, do not take advantage of each other. You are to buy from your own people on the basis of the number of years since the Jubilee. And they are to sell to you on the basis of the number of years left for harvesting crops. (Lev 25:8-15)

Once we apply St. Augustine's insight into the significance of the Sabbath Millennium to the chronology of St. Bede the Venerable, using the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament, as opposed to the Greek Septuagint, the end of the "thousand years" of Rev 20 can be calculated to the Great Jubilee Year of the Incarnation in the year 2000:

The Lord Jesus Christ Himself says, No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man — meaning by the strong man the devil, because he had power to take captive the human race; and meaning by his goods which he was to take, those who had been held by the devil in various sins and iniquities, but were to become believers in Himself. It was then for the binding of this strong one that the apostle saw in the Apocalypse an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a chain in his hand. And he laid hold, he says, on the dragon, that old serpent, which is called the devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,— that is, bridled and restrained his power so that he could not seduce and gain possession of those who were to be freed. Now the thousand years may be understood in two ways, so far as occurs to me: either because these things happen in the sixth thousand of years or sixth millennium (the latter part of which is now passing), as if during the sixth day, which is to be followed by a Sabbath which has no evening, the endless rest of the saints, so that, speaking of a part under the name of the whole, he calls the last part of the millennium — the part, that is, which had yet to expire before the end of the world — a thousand years; or he used the thousand years as an equivalent for the whole duration of this world, employing the number of perfection to mark the fullness of time. (St. Augustine of Hippo, City of God, Book XX Chap 7).
He says also: And he will cause a mark [to be put] in the forehead and in the right hand, that no one may be able to buy or sell, unless he who has the mark of the name of the beast or the number of his name; and the number is six hundred and sixty-six, Revelation 13:14, etc. that is, six times a hundred, six times ten, and six units. [He gives this] as a summing up of the whole of that apostasy which has taken place during six thousand years. For in as many days as this world was made, in so many thousand years shall it be concluded. And for this reason the Scripture says: Thus the heaven and the earth were finished, and all their adornment. And God brought to a conclusion upon the sixth day the works that He had made; and God rested upon the seventh day from all His works. Genesis 2:2 This is an account of the things formerly created, as also it is a prophecy of what is to come. For the day of the Lord is as a thousand years; 2 Peter 3:8 and in six days created things were completed: it is evident, therefore, that they will come to an end at the sixth thousand year. (St. Irenaeus of Lyons, Against Heresies, Book V Chap 28)

This thus ties in perfectly with the vision of Pope Leo XIII, in which he was told that Satan would be granted a period of greater power. If the Sabbath Millennium is connected with the significance of the biblical jubilee years, it is worth noting that a jubilee of 120 years (50 x 120) makes up to a total of 6000 years - the exact length suggested by the biblical chronology, according to the calculations of James Ussher, the 17th century Anglican Archbishop of Armagh. Since the jubilee was also a time of Sabbath rest, then it makes sense that the period during which God's Spirit would not abide with humanity in Gen 6:3 is connected to the period of the short time of Satan. It is also worth noting that in the original Hebrew text of this portion of Genesis, it states that the Spirit of God would not abide with humanity until the end of the "olam" (age). In Jewish tradition the olam ha-zeh (this age) is contrasted with the olam ha-ba (the age to come), which is the time of the messianic kingdom. So there is certainly a sense of millennial thinking in this section of Genesis.

It doesn't seem to be a "coincidence" that this eruption has taken place right at this juncture in time, beginning on the feast of Our Lady of La Salette. The army of King Victor Emmanuel II reached the walls of Rome on 19th Sept, 1870, (the feast of Our Lady of La Salette), beginning a siege which led to the loss of the Papal States. Pope Leo XIII undoubtedly connected this event with the contents of his vision, where he seen an army of demons surrounding the Eternal City. This in turn echoes the camp of the saints being surrounded by the armies of Satan at the end of the "thousand years" in Rev 20. In the longer exorcism prayer issued by Pope Leo XIII in 1890, he refers to the Freemasons erecting a monument dedicated to King Victor Emmanuel II in Rome:

In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most blessed Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered. Adesto itaque, Dux invictissime, populo Dei contra irrumpentes spirituales nequitias, et fac victoriam. Arise then, O invincible prince, bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and bring them the victory.

The Italian architect Giuseppe Sacconi won the prize to design the monument to King Victor Emmanuel II in 1884, which he modeled in the image of the recently discovered Pergamon Altar. This is none other than the "Throne of Satan" described in Rev 2:13. Again, it is no coincidence that Pope Leo XIII experienced his vision at the exact moment in history that a shrine made in the image of the Pergamon Altar was being erected in the city of Rome, in the wake of the capture of the Papal States. After its discovery in 1879, the actual Pergamon Altar was transported to Germany and reconstructed in Berlin in 1900, right at the very beginning of the period of Satan's greater power.

The Vittariano, or Monument to King Victor Emmanuel II

The Pergamon Altar

Even though there is no immediate threat of the chastisement foreseen by Sr. Lucia in her 1944 Tuy apparition, it still appears to be of considerable significance that Cumbre Vieja would erupt at the end of this 120 year period associated with the short time of Satan, on the feast of Our Lady of La Salette. This is especially significant, since the location of the Canary Islands is so closely linked with the location where the Watchers are kept in chains until judgement day, according to the words of St. Peter:

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—  if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.
(2Pet 2:4-9)

Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day...

They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever. Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them: “See, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” (Jude 5-6; 13-15)
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. (Matt 24:37-39)

Could this volcanic eruption at a site closely linked with the location of the chaining of the fallen angels described in the Book of Enoch be yet another sign that the time of Satan's unbinding has now drawn to a close? If so, it is deeply significant that this eruption occurred on the feast day of Our Lady of La Salette, since Melanie's Calvat's longer 1879 version of her secret closely echoes the contents of Sr. Lucia's 1944 Tuy apparition:

“At the first blow of His thundering sword, the mountains and all Nature will tremble in terror, for the disorders and crimes of men have pierced the vault of the heavens. Paris will burn and Marseilles will be engulfed. Several cities will be shaken down and swallowed up by earthquakes. People will believe that all is lost."

We can take comfort in the fact that these chastisements still lie some time off in the future, after the period of the restoration of the Church, which Sr Lucia was also shown during the apparition of Our Lady in 1944:

Afterward I felt in the increased beating of my heart and in my spirit a quiet voice which said: ‘in time, one faith, one baptism, one Church, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic. Heaven in eternity!’ This word, ‘Heaven,’ filled my heart with peace and happiness, so much so that, almost without realizing it, I continued to repeat for some time: Heaven, Heaven!’

How does Our Lady of Akita/ fire falling from sky factor in? I understood it to be the upcoming minor chastisement, that will end the New World Order and usher in the Triumph (while killing perhaps hundreds of millions or even billions of people), then, with Earth this cleansed by fire/ atonement for unprecedented sinfulness thus made, is the brief period of peace & Restoration, then comes antichrist, then the 3 Days of Darkness, then conversion of Jews, Second Coming of Christ, Finis.

Thoughts?

Emmett O'Regan said...

The chastisement foretold at Akita is conditional, and something which can be avoided - "If men don't repent...". The call to repentance is key.

How does that square with Sr. Agnes, on Oct. 6, 2019, the same day as Tacollama, on the eve of the satanic covidian global coup, saying "the time is near"? I do pray the penitential rosary for which she called, but a) her words certainly ring with imminence and unavoidability, and b) our sodomitical infanticidal world shows no signs of following Ninevah.

I hope this doesn't sound argumentative, but to me a minor chastisement seems clearly in our near future. Thanks for your research btw.

It's been stated Akita is essentially the same as Fatima. JPII implied that a threat of flooding is part of the Third Secret of Fatima yet Akita claimed fire would fall from the sky: "As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful."

Bishop Ito, himself, has been quoted in books as saying that "the message of Akita is the same as that of Fatima." But, if the threat, "fire will fall from the sky," is part of the Fatima message, it must be contained in the Third Secret since it is not part of the already revealed messages of Fatima.

I agree that a chastisement would be deserved, I just hope and pray that it can be averted.

Thank you for posting this - I was wondering what you thought regarding the eruptions the past few days. I too sensed a greater significance because of the anniversary of Our Lady of LaSalette and the coincidence of it occurring during the 'Lent of St. Michael'.

As there are no, or very few, identifying clues in Church approved revelations, Emmett is quite correct to hold this position.

However, there are many, many hints and clues in UNapproved literature but with that comes the danger of being mislead.

Thanks for posting this, Emmett! I guess the big question now is…who will the Great Catholic Monarch and Angelic Pope be?

As for their concrete identities, I see little value in knowing this.

In addition, I have found that discussing any of the (very obvious) characteristics attributed to them results in a bear-pit style debate whereby every crank and loon tries to impose their own political views and personal biases onto the source material.

Almost inevitably its Americans tarring the leader of the opposite party - Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump and now Biden.... or their latest enemy - Ayatollah Khomeni (remember him? The antichrist guy?), Saddam Hussein, Putin, Kin Jong Un, etc.. etc... etc....

The lack of self-awareness is spectacular, so, engaging with these people or their views is fruitless.

Its only been 6 months since someone posted that Bush was one of the horsemen of the apocaplypse and the was an Islamic Invasion of Europe underway. That June 10th was something to do with the battle of Gog and Magog....

Its depressing to research medieval literature, Church teaching, ancient Greek translations astrological significances etc... to have it all savaged by some loon who found something while sitting on the bog scrolling through Facebook.

I can imagine how a PhD candidate in the field must feel to have his work criticised by a secretary from Minnesota or a retired mechanic from De Moines.

I come here now to read Emmetts latest missive ( thank you, Sir) and laugh at the comments.

(Anyone wanna bet on how long before some US president is mentioned in the comments?)

Right, getting bogged down in physical characteristics just muddies the waters. It’s what they DO that’s important- Emmett had said before that the Great Catholic Monarch will play a part in the end time conversation of the Jews. (how specifically is still unclear) The Angelic Pope will heal the East/West Schism, correct? That has always been the concrete action I’ve been keeping my eye on.

From the site https://catholictruthscotland.com/2016/02/20/akita-confirms-fatima-message/

Interesting perspective from Athanasius' comment:

The first of these was Sister Agnes’ twin reference to an accompanying angel in prayer as “she”. I have never heard of an angel being referred to as “she”. The other thing that struck me was how modernist the chapel and nuns look, and how unbecoming the image of Our Lady is. There was no hint of a restoration of Tradition there, as I would have expected given the warnings of Our Lady about the apostasy taking place in the Church. It’s almost as if the post-conciliar reform is not seen as the principle cause of this apostasy.

Fatima indicates the truth of things in the opening line of the text of the Third Secret: “In Portugal the dogmas of the Faith will be preserved…etc.”, indicating that the chastisement is primarily spiritual in nature. Akita mentions apostasy but seems to focus more on a terrible material chastisement of the world by God, to the extent that few will be left and the living will envy the dead. This seems at odds with Our Lady’s Fatima promise that in the end her Immaculate Heart will triumph and a time of peace will be granted to the world. I’m not saying that a Third World War will not happen when there is every likelihood at this time that such a catastrophe may well happen soon. But even if that comes about, the punishment of wars and other natural disasters belongs properly to the Second part of the Fatima Secret, not the Third part. The Third Secret of Fatima is exclusively a supernatural chastisement afflicting the Church and the world, there is no WWIII in there.

The fall of many consecrated Catholic souls and billions of other souls worldwide, the result of the present universal apostasy from God, is by far a greater chastisement than any mere material annihilation. So why is emphasis placed more on material rather than spiritual loss at Akita? I was also a bit concerned by the claim that if the sins of men continue there will be no more forgiveness. But isn’t God infinitely merciful, always desiring to forgive?

Other things that made me a little uncomfortable were 1. The local Ordinary’s apparent believe in the apparitions before his investigation even began. Bishops normally start out with the opposite view. 2. The three different blood groups identified by scientists from three separate examinations of the tears. 3. The mark of the Cross appearing on only one hand of Sister Agnes, the left hand. This is not the usual manifestation of the stigmata. 4. Sister Agnes said at one point that people should pay less attention to the “form” of prayers and concentrate more on content. Content is of course very important, but the form of our Catholic prayers is also essential. We all see the bitter fruits of changes to the form of the sacred liturgy, the Church’s highest and most perfect prayer, the Sacrifice of Our Lord. There were one or two other anomalies that I’ll pass on right now.

Suffice it to say I have been left very uncertain about Akita. The people interviewed, including Sister Agnes, seemed sincere enough, and nothing was said that was obviously contradictory of Catholic doctrine, yet I have problems believing it. I have no such problems with Fatima and Quito, but Akita troubles me. I think the Vatican should investigate Akita and give a definitive decision on it.

Hi Emmett,
A few questions if I may:
1) Could it not be that the Katechon that does the restraining was Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI and that his resignation from the munis, i.e. the administrative part, of the papacy signalled the end of the restraining of the binding of Satan? Pope Francis certainly seems to me to be an antipope.
2) About the fall of Babylon. Do you think Babylon represents the USA or Rome or the NWO???

During a recent podcast with Fr. Richard Heilman and Doug Barry, I tried to explain how I'm not expecting the catastrophe seen in Sr. Lucia's 1944 apparition anytime soon, because of the significance of the katēchon of 2Thes 2:6-7 - the "restraining force" which holds back the appearance of the Antichrist. See around the 41 minute at this link: The Katechon and the Binding of Satan .

3) If Pope Benedict XVI is/was the Katechon, then couldn't your time table be off by a few yaers and couldn't the eruption of the Canary Islands happening now be the one you predicted would cause the mega tsunami that would wipe out the East Coast of the USA (and Ireland too I believe?)

Once Pope Benedict XVI abdicated, he no longer functions as pope in any capacity. There have been several popes who abdicated, and none of them retained any capacity of their former ministry. The CDF doctrinal commentary on the Professio Fidei states that the results of papal elections are infallible. This is because once the entire Church peaceably accepts someone as pope, it becomes an act of the sensus fidelium, and is thus infallible.

I don't see how Pope Benedict XVI fits in with the "restraining force" which holds back the appearance of the Antichrist. The Catechism clearly links this with the conversion of the Jews.

Couple of points here -

1.
My last post was explicitly NOT aimed at Bridget.
I have found her to be one of the more genuine and open-minded querents on this blog.
I'd love to hear some of your own opinions on these matters, Bridget.

2.
I'd like to know what is meant be the 'Conversion of the Jews'.
Are we really to expect that *all* Jews convert at once? Will they all convert to Christianity in general or Catholicism specifically? What about non-practicing Jews?
I'm sceptical about literal interpretations. They leave us hidebound and expectant.

One 'real world' problem is that there is no central Jewish authority. So even if every single Jew on the planet rocked up to a Catholic Church in the morning seeking Baptism some Jewish athiest could just say 'I'm Jewish and I dont agree'.

Surely we must look deeper into what the 'conversion of the Jews' actually means.
Where does the phrase occur? In what language? What ambiguities are present?

Emmett, you must be familiar with the difficulties present in such pronunciations?

@p5borel - yes on the Ireland thing. As a child I was told that as a reward for his ministry, and in order to save the Irish people from the Anti-Christ, St Patrick was promised by God that 'seven years before the end of the world, Ireland would be swallowed in one inundation'. Make of that what you will.

I'm sceptical of literal interpretations as well, but this is something which is so highly specific that it can't really be interpreted in any other manner. In my opinion, it is the Jews inhabiting Jerusalem that are converted, because they will personally witness the appearance of the "sign of the Son of Man", which is the herald which announces the approach of the King. The appearance of the sign of the Cross over Jerusalem is another event which seems to be literal. Josephus describes such an event as occurring around the time of the destruction of the Temple, and St. Cyril of Jerusalem also witnessed a similar event alongside thousands of other witnesses. Zech 12 provides the details of how this will unfold during the eschatological earthquake, so there is a possibility that this event will be associated with the phenomenon of "earthquake lights".

“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. 11 On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, 13 the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, 14 and all the rest of the clans and their wives."

Emmett O'Regan said...

The most scriptural detail on the conversion of the Jews can be found in Rom 11:

"Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. 12 But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring!

13 I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry 14 in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. 15 For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?"

I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way[e] all Israel will be saved. As it is written:

“The deliverer will come from Zion;
he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
27 And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”

28 As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, 29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30 Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31 so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now[h] receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. 32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all."

Emmett O'Regan said...

St. Peter also speaks of this event in Acts 3:

“Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. 18 But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer. 19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus. 21 Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. 22 For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. 23 Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.’

Emmett O'Regan said...

It is also alluded to by Christ in Matt 23:

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 38 Look, your house is left to you desolate. 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’"

This is why I argue in my book that the tsunami event caused by the collapse of Cumbre Vieja will be preceded by the appearance of the sign of the Son of Man in Jerusalem, during the eschatological earthquake, as is suggested by Sr. Lucia's 1944 vision. Christ's disciples knew to escape from Jerusalem during the Flight to Pella, once they witnessed the sign of the Cross before the destruction of the Temple. Rev 18:4 suggests that this event will recapitulate itself during the appearance of the sign of the Son of Man, when the people of God are warned to depart from "Babylon" before its destruction is wrought:

Then I heard another voice from heaven say:

“‘Come out of her, my people,’
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
5 for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
6 Give back to her as she has given;
pay her back double for what she has done.
Pour her a double portion from her own cup.

PasserBy, no offense taken! :) Emmett, thanks for all of those comments! I feel like it makes much more sense now. You say you believe it’s the inhabitants of Jerusalem who convert after witnessing the Sign of the Son of Man (cross of light in the sky). So, is the Great Catholic Monarch modeled after St. Cyril as well? I suppose he will be in Jerusalem and personally witness the cross of light in the sky alongside the Jewish people? I guess my question is- what role does he play in converting them? Will he be there ministering to them in some way at the time of the eschatological earthquake/Sign of the Son of Man?

Emmett,

I am sorry to bother you again, but do you think Babylon today is the USA? Or, Rome? or Jerusalem? What or where is the Bablyon of today?

I am pretty sure you have explained this in the past several times previously so please forgive me for asking something you probably feel exasperated that people keep asking.

PasserBy said...

Emmett,

I am not as well versed in scripture as you so I will reply in the vernacular, in a more rudimentary fashion.

I take your points and have no reason to doubt their bona fides or your interpretation.
However, I am inclined to think that the New Testament prophets in particular are speaking about the continent of Europe when they speak of Israel, of Christians when they talk of the 'Jewish people(s)/tribes'.
As for 'Jerusalem' I cannot decide whether they are referring to Britain or The EU institutions but it is one or the other.
rember, the Jews were the Jews long before they even reached the modern land of 'Israel'.
Theres no reason to think they couldnt have moved on afterwards.....

Tinkering around with these notions brings the biblical pronouncements and the modern apparitions (approved and otherwise) much closer together. What if the sign in the sky over Jerusalem is the same one alluded to at Garabandal?

@p5Borel - does Babylon have to be a place? Could it be a state of mind? An attitude?
We know that 'Heaven' and 'Hell' are not physical places, rather descriptions of being with and without God. Perhaps 'Babylon' is merely a human life devoid of the presence of God?
Perhaps Jerusalem means 'inside' the Church and 'Babylon' means outside of it?

Again, I think we are being too literal, even simplistic, in our interpretations and expectations.

@Bridget - The GM could well be in the image of St Cyril. As he is compared to St Pepin, St Louis, Constantine and many others. Interestingly the first link I found about St Cyril refers to him as a leader who campaigned against Eastern heresies specifically in defence of Mary and her role in the incarnation. So the Marian Devotion/Defence seems to be a characteristic.... keep em coming!!!

Jason R. said...

I have a sinking feeling that this is a dumb question that I should already know the answer to, but thought ah why not ask anyways?

I've thought that the katechon is/will be embodied in the Great Monarch, either spiritually, but who knows, maybe the Great Monarch's physical presence on the Earth will somehow be the restraining power. I forget the exact text or source, but the one that says when he puts down his lance or sword, some weapon of war, on Mt. Olivet that will be when the sign of the Son of Man appears precisely, and the accompanying eschatological earthquake.

Emmett, in your comment you wrote about the Canary Island collapse being preceded by the departure of the katechon... does that mean that there could be any sort of significant amount of between the death of the Great Monarch and the mega-tsunami/collapse of Babylon? I know it past comments sections the idea has been talked about that the collapse could be accompanied by a thermonuclear strike by a country, perhaps Russia, that when seeing the collapse approaching with that huge wave may seek to finish the US off for good.

I likely have asked this before, so my apologies, but with the description in the Tuy 1944 apparition sounding a lot like how a multiple-warhead ICBM unload its payload, could a precisely exploded nuclear warhead trigger the collapse leading to the mega-tsunami, or will it be much more explicit that all that happens is a literal act of God for the world to see?

Thank you!
Jason

Hi PasserBy, you wrote:

Its depressing to research medieval literature, Church teaching, ancient Greek translations astrological significances etc... to have it all savaged by some loon who found something while sitting on the bog scrolling through Facebook.”

I think I might be the “loon”.

Just to clarify since much of the above is inaccurate.

I was referring to a blog called “The Burden Against America” which can be found at 3ribs.Wordpress.

The author who is unnamed has some interesting articles linking Daniel chapter 7 and Revelation Chapter 6.

Daniel chapter 7 concerns the 4 beasts, the Lion/Eagle, the Bear, the Leopard and the Beast with Ten Horns. Revelation Chapter 6 is the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse..

This connects with Emmett’s writings because Emmett has shown that in Daniel Chapter 8 the whole span of time from Alexander’s defeat of Darius to The Jews gaining control of Jerusalem in 1967 fullfills the 2300 evenings and mornings until the reconsecration of the temple. So this vision takes us to the End Times.

In Daniel chapter 7 the beasts come after this time because the last beast with 10 horns gives rise to the antichrist, the little horn who persecutes God’s people, but then:

“‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. 27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’ Daniel Chapter 7.

The author of The Burden Against America blog identifies these beasts in Daniel 7 as the last 4 kingdoms on earth. So he identifies the: Eagle/Lion as Britain, USA, Israel
The Bear as Russia
The leopard as EU
And the Beast with 10 Horns from which the little Horn emerges is unclear, perhaps China, UN, all the kingdoms. It will rule the whole of the earth.

Because he identifies the 4 beasts of Daniel with the 4 horses of the Apocalypse, the USA will provide the first rider, that is how he concludes George Bush is the first white horse.

“I heard one of the four living creatures call out, as with a voice of thunder, ‘Come!’* 2I looked, and there was a white horse! Its rider had a bow; a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering and to conquer.”

This is not as outlandish as it sounds because the first rider has always been deeply mysterious, so much so that he has been identified as Jesus by some and The Antichrist by others.

The attributes of the rider match Bush/USA perfectly:
Christianity/white horse.
Crown given to him/Democracy
A bow/USA military power has been air superiority.
Conquering/Bush rode forth after 9/11

So Bush/USA is the Eagle/Lion/white Horse. In Daniel 7 this first beast Lion/Eagle has its wings/feathers ripped off. The author of The Burden against America blog speculates a financial crisis will destroy The Eagle/Lion/White horse, and this leads to war with the second beast TheBear/The Red Horse. The Bear in Daniel 7 has the attribute “arise to consume much flesh”, which it will do in the future in a war withe USA. The Leopard/black horse will then overcome The Bear, leading to the final 10 horned beast/Pale horse which gives rise to the “little horn”.

My only original idea is that it would not be a financial crisis which ripped the wings/feathers from the Eagle/Lion/White horse, it would be missile defence technology which is destroying air power. Russia is a world leader in this technology.

PasserBy you may still think I’m a “loon” but the ideas above are from the blog I mentioned, I relayed them in the spirit of speculative enquiry. I admire Emmetts writings principally for their originality and the speculative flair he brings to his writing. The Burden against America blog simply piqued my interest.

Is this a vision of the last 4 kingdoms on the earth, and is it possible this vision in connected with the 4 horsemen in Revelation 6

Bridget, as I point out in p660 of my book, a prophecy attributed to St. Methodius states that the death of the Great Monarch will coincide with the appearance of the sign of the Son of Man:

"…the Cross on which our Lord Jesus Christ hung
for the common salvation of all will begin to appear
before him at his coming to convict the lack of faith
of unbelievers… When the Cross has been lifted up
on high to heaven, the king of the Romans will
directly give up his spirit. Then every principality
and power will be destroyed that the Son of
Perdition may be manifest."

Together with the Angelic Pope, I think he will be responsible for the bringing in of the fullness of the Gentiles, and that his ministry leading up to the appearance of the sign of the Cross will be the primary reason for the conversion of the Jews.

P5borel, "Babylon" is a cipher for the leading world superpower. Just as Babylon was the superpower at the time of the Prophet Jeremiah, St. Peter refered to Rome as "Babylon" in his epistles. Given the fact that America is the leading superpower today, it is the only country which fits this bill.

That is an amazing letter from the monk Adso.
A letter written about the Antichrist from the 10th century is still relevant to our own times.

‘Christ came as a humble man; he will come as a proud one. Christ came to raise the lowly, to justify sinners; he, on the other hand, will cast out the lowly, magnify sinners, exalt the wicked. He will always exalt vices opposed to virtues, will drive out the evangelical law”

An apt description of the way things have been trending in our own times, so many seem to worship vice and oppose virtue especially in our elite privileged classes.

Particularly interesting the idea concerning when the anrtichrist will come:

“ All nations were subject to the Romans and paid tribute to them. This is why the Apostle Paul says that the Antichrist will not come into the world "unless the defection shall have come first", that is, unless first all the kingdoms that were formerly subject shall have defected from the Roman Empire. This time has not yet come, because even though we may see the Roman Empire for the most part in ruins, nonetheless, as long as the Kings of the Franks who now possess the Roman Empire by right shall last, the dignity of the Roman Empire will not completely perish because it will endure in its kings.”

The legacy of Rome through The Holy Roman Empire through the French, Spanish, English and USA looks at last to be failing as non Roman players rise such as China.

I found it easier to get to this letter of Adso’s by going to the homepage first.

Passerby, yes the writers of the New Testament thought of the Church as the new Israel, but St. Paul clearly speaks of the conversion of the Jews in Rom 11. He speaks of the wild olive branch being grafted back into the Church:

"If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

22 Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. 23 And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree!"

Emmett O'Regan said...

Jason, the above quote from St. Methodius should answer your question concerning the timing of the death of the Great Monarch and the collapse of "Babylon". In Zech 12, the appearance of the sign of the Son of Man is timed to coincide with the eschatological earthquake. Rev 16 states that God remembers to punish Babylon immediately after the eschatological earthquake, which ties in with the sequence of events Sr. Lucia was shown in her vision in 1944:

"Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath." Rev 16:18-19

Emmett O'Regan said...

Patrick, in my book, I argue that the sequence concerning the four beasts in Dan 7 is linked to the period of the unbinding of Satan, and also the appearance of the Four Horsemen at the opening of scroll sealed with seven seals. They are also the four angels bound at the River Euphrates who go out to assemble the nations of the world for war in Rev 9:14-15 and Rev 16:12-14. This in turn is associated with the series of wars and rumours of wars foretold by Christ in Matt 24, which results in the love of many growing cold, because of the increase in wickedness. Think of the results of the "death of God" theology in the aftermath of the Holocaust, and how this was timed to coincide with the general slackening in religious belief since the 1960's.

Daniel's 4 beasts,Lion/Eagle, Bear,Leopard, Beast with Ten Horns can not be kingdoms, because they are different from one another:

And four great beasts, different one from another, came up out of the sea.

So these four beast can not represent the same thing - kingdoms.

No. All four beasts are different from one another just as the Holy Ghost said.

FIRST BEAST LIONESS WITH WINGS OF AN EAGLE = THE AIRLINE AND SPACE INDUSTRIES (SpaceX's Falcon Heavy)

1. The first was like a lioness, and had the wings of an eagle: I beheld till her wings were plucked off, and she was lifted up from the earth, and stood upon her feet as a man, and the heart of a man was given to her

SECOND BEAST BEAR = SOCIAL MEDIA (facebook twitter etc...)

2. And behold another beast like a bear stood up on one side: and there were three rows in the mouth thereof, and in the teeth thereof, and thus they said to it: Arise, devour much flesh.

THIRD BEAST LEOPARD = NATIONALISM OF THE FORERUNNER TO THE ANTICHRIST (HE WHO MURDERS THE FATIMA POPE WITH AN ARMY MADE UP OF MANY NATIONS)

3. After this I beheld, and lo, another like a leopard, and it had upon it four wings as of a fowl, and the beast had four heads, and power was given to it.

FOURTH BEAST = THE ANTICHRIST (THIS IS CHURCH DOCTRINE AS ALL FATHERS TESTIFY)

4. After this I beheld in the vision of the night, and lo, a fourth beast, terrible and wonderful, and exceeding strong, it had great iron teeth, eating and breaking in pieces, and treading down the rest with its feet: and it was unlike to the other beasts which I had seen before it, and had ten horns.

All four beast are different from one another - the third and fourth beasts are political in nature but different - the third being man-made nationalistic political authority and the fourth being man-made universal political authority.

dxv515 said...

All three beasts will still be in existence during the reign of the Antichrist and the Antichrist will put an end to them:

I think you must be pulling my leg. The 4 beasts are identified as kingdoms in Daniel

‘The four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth. 18 But the holy people of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever—yes, for ever and ever.’ Daniel7

Of the last beast:

‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.[b]

26 “‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. 27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’

Dxv515 I agree each kingdom could have attributes , like the first beast having something to do with the air as in a bow, or the second beast with a fearsome army or weapon, and the third beast with some type of council or law. But each are kings and therefore kingdoms.

Almost universally these kingdoms are seen as The Babylonians, Medio-Persians, Greeks and Romans.

I’m wondering if they will be final kingdoms before the second coming and if they are the same as the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse.

Daniel’s four kingdoms have eerie similarity to the great nations of our own day.

Emmett,

Your entire analysis on this website is based upon the flood from the dragon's mouth being swallowed up after a time. You keep pushing the time back. First, it was 100 years from the Leo vision, than 100 years from 1914, then the 2000 millennium, now it's 120 years. At what point, if the filth from the Church isn't cleaned and there isn't a restoration, will you admit that you were simply wrong? How much longer can you thesis sustain?

You cling to it because the alternative - the end times analysis that says a counter church was erected after Vatican II - is too scary for you to contemplate, but it fits Church prophecy and current events a lot better than what you propose. You'll acknowledge it one day, sooner rather than later.

dxv515 said...

@Patrick if as you say "Almost universally these kingdoms are seen as The Babylonians, Medio-Persians, Greeks and Romans" How can the Actual Antichrist destroy these ancient kingdoms at the end of days if they no longer exist?

the fourth beast, which was very different from all, and exceeding terrible: his teeth and claws were of iron: he devoured and broke in pieces, and the rest he stamped upon with his feet Dan. 7:19

These three kingdoms Babylonians, Medio-Persians, Greeks and Romans are long gone.

Only the restored Holy Roman Empire will exist at the end of days, because the HRE is the katechon that withholds the manifestation of the Antichrist.

The HRE will be restored at the end of the 35 years worth of Chastisements as promised by Our Lady. (the Chastisements start after the Two Popes are dead)

If as you say that these four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth. I agree.

As I said before that the Forerunner to the Antichrist will possess the Kingdom ie LEOPARD which is from the earth or man-made nationalism. The Forerunner will be "king" of this Nationalist Army as Our Lady of La Salette and Fatima has said. He is the one who kills the Fatima Pope and Faithful on top a steep mountain.

As for the other two kingdom they are also of the earth LIONESS WITH WINGS OF AN EAGLE is the airline/space industry and who will deny that billionaires are not the "kings" of Space? Or will one day declare themselves "kings"? King of Outer Space!

Same goes for the Billionaire "kings" of Social Media. The BEAR.

So I contend that what was consider the three kingdoms are no longer and therefore can not be destroyed by the Fourth Beast - the Actual Antichrist at the end of days - so there will be three kingdoms that rise up from the earth (man-made) that the Fourth Beast - the Actual Antichrist can destroy because they will still exist in his time at the end of days: 1. Airline/Space Industry 2.Social Media/AI. 3. Remnants of Nationalism of the Forerunner to the Antichrist.

dxv515 said...

@ James you say "if the filth from the Church isn't cleaned and there isn't a restoration, will you admit that you were simply wrong? How much longer can you thesis sustain?" that's were the Forerunner to the Antichrist and his Nationalists Army comes in. He will persecute the Catholic Church by claiming to cleanse and restore the Church. Our Lady of La Salette and Our Lady of Fatima have said so.

As for your comment about "counter church" you need to open your eyes. Are not the FSSP laity building their own home chaples? Are not the FSSP Laity afraid that their FSSP Mass sites will be shut down?

James for you to call 1 billion Catholics a counter Church is to deny Christ and his promise he made to Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, thy servants, saying: By myself I have sworn, I will multiply thee, and I will multiply thy seed, as the stars of heaven, and as the sands that is upon the Seashore: Thy seed shall possess the gates of thine enemies, and in thy seed shall be blessed all Nations of the earth. Thy seed shall be dilated to the East, and to the West, and to the North, and to the West, and to the North, and to the South, and in thee, and thy seed, shall be blessed all the Tribes of the earth.

So no it is a very small remnant that is and will be this counter Church spoken of by Catholic Prophecy. And this small remnant will come from the ranks of the FSSP and their home chapels. These persecutors of the Catholic Church will be lead by the Forerunner to the Antichrist. Again as the Prophecies of La Salette and Fatima.

dxv515 said...

@ James and I would say to you and all of the FSSP laity that will one day hide in their home chapels - it is too scary for you to contemplate that you FSSP laity are the ones who will persecute the Roman Catholic Church. is too scary for you to contemplate that you FSSP laity will be lead by the Forerunner to the Antichrist.

That's more scary and you know it.

Just because you attend a Latin Mass doesn't mean that you are not an enemy to God and his promise He made to Abraham, Issac, and Jacob......

“I have arrived at the decision to step down as Bishop of Ebbsfleet, in order to be received into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church, only after a long period of prayer, which has been among the most testing periods of my life,” he said in a statement on Sept. 3, the feast of St. Gregory the Great, the sixth-century pope who launched a mission to convert England to Christianity.

dxv515 - first of all, you confuse FSSP and SSPX. Second, are you crazy? Are you claiming that these groups, that actually follow 100% of Catholic faith, Tradition and Mass of all Ages are bad, while modernist Church hierarchy, that starts to defy even basic dogmas, are good? By their fruit you shall know them. Traditionalists follow the authentic Catholic Faith and produce priestly vocations. Post-Vatican 2 Church is full of heresy, decadence, empty churches, seminars and diminishing faith, including the faith in Transubstation and respect for Eucharist.

dxv515 said...

@Unknown Didn't see that one coming did you?

Arians like the FSSP claim to be the faithful few - the self proclaimed faithful remnant. Arians like the FSSP said Mass in Latin. Arians like the FSSP claim to be the faithful few - as you yourself said.

But Christ says the opposite - because He made a promise to Abraham Isaac and Jacob that their seed would be dilated to the West, and to the East, and to the North, which you reject. You reject Christ and His promise.

"I believe most firmly (dear Lord) that the Christians professing one Faith multiplied, as the sand that is by the Sea shore, and dilated to the West, and to the East, and to the North, and t the South, are, the seed of Abraham, thy servant, the children of Jacob thy elect, and there is no salvation in any other."

Our Lady of La Salette said that there will be churches built to serve evil spirits. Home chapels built by the FSSP laity are these very churches. Because they reject that promise made by Christ to Abraham Isaac and Jacob. You claim that Christ is in a closet- hidden as it were.

There will be a persecution of the Church and Priests will be hunted down as Our Lady of La Salette has said. This persecution will carried out by those who are kicked out of the Church by Pope Francis. These evil spirits will persecute the Church out of revenge.

So Catholic Prophecy is not what you expected.

Remember the Jews were VEXED by their neighbors by threatening to place an idol in their Temple.

Pope Francis is doing the same to FSSP - VEXING the FSSP with Pachamama with Traditionis Custodes etc.....waiting to see what the FSSP will do.

Why don't you see this?

Duke said...

@dxv515 - again, you confuse FSSP and FSSPX. FSSP are fully within the Church and celebrate in diocesan churches. FSSPX are canonically irregular, but are still within the Church, still have the same Pope, but are more independent - Pope Francis has been giving them more faculties though, and even allowed Swiss Bishop to retire in an FSSPX house. We are re-experiencing the Arian crisis again - now, most bishops are not Arians, but modernists. Faithful are again pushed away from churches. Just as St. Athanasius said "they have the churches, we have the faith" - same situation with FSSPX. Yes, Arians said Mass in Latin - just as every other Catholic since 3rd century until 1969. You have it extremely confused. FSSP and FSSPX holt to the authentic Catholic faith, as it was for 2,000 years. Pope Francis and current hierarchy are succumbing to the world and its idols.

samuelj said...

Well said Duke and accurately posted.

@Duke I am well aware of the differences between the SSPX & FSSP.

It is said by Catholic Scholars that Heretics always attack on or more articles of the Creed.

Most if not all Rad Trad Influencers are products of the FSSP. I have witnessed the heresy of these FSSP influencers and that is heresy against the Ninth Article of the Apostles Creed:

9. the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints,

The FSSP laity has been attacking the Immaculate Bride of Christ (Church) and blaming her for the errors of the Churchmen. Recently FSSP Taylor Marshall had to admit that they attack the Bride of Christ and he apologized saying their attacks on the Immaculate Bride of Christ (the Church) was due to imprecise language. FSSP Fr. Chad Ripperger did the same at FSSP Mater Dei Latin Mass Parish a couple of Sundays ago in his homily admonishing the laity not to attack the Immaculate Bride of Christ (the Church).

These attacks are real - starting with FSSP Ann Barnhardt claiming that Pope Francis is rapping the Immaculate Bride of Christ (the Church).

Again the SSPX is not the problem.

Our Lady at Fatima and La Salette said that their will be wicked men who will attack the Immaculate Bride of Christ (the Church). I think it is within my right and duty to find out who these wicked men are. I think I have and it is the FSSP. SAme goes for identifying the Forerunner to the Antichrist - he also is a FSSP Rad Trad Influencer who claims a royal title and who Taylor Marshall believes is the Great Monarch.

Duke there are a Billion Catholics in the world and this is proof that Christ kept his promise to Abraham Isaac and Jacob that their seed would be dilated to the West, and to the East, and to the North, which you reject.

Duke & Samuel listen to yourselves you are more quick to defend a few thousand FSSP'ers than a Billion Catholics.

Something is wrong there.

While I'm not really au fait with all these inter-Church rivalries I have one comment to make on what Duke said.

On Sunday after Mass, but before the final blessing, the altar was handed over to someone from Cafod (a UK Catholic charity) who prattled on about the rainforest and climate change.
Aside from the familiar dyed-hair-and-dangly-earrings uniform of the concerned middle-aged woman I found the whole thing a bit irritating and self-righteous.

Does no one realise that these Green movements are basically anti-Human?
Follow the thread - we have to have less impact on the planet.
If that doesnt work we have to have even less impact on the planet.
If that doesnt work then etc... etc... etc...
In the final analysis, the greatest contribution we could make to 'the planet' is to kill ourselves or billions of others.

It follows then that these movements are Death cults. Suicide cults.
Which is probably why the Nazis embraced and promoted them so much.

There is real danger in this and why the Church is getting involved with it is beyond me.

We seem to have moved from celebrating the Incarnation and Sacrifice of the Living God to being some sort of open shop for 'niceness' and do-goodery.
The Catholic church is morphing into some sort of multi-national charitable NGO outfit.
A destination for hand-wringers and oh-dearie-me-people to meet.

****************************************************************************************

On a completely separate note, the Jews were Jews (Gods chosen people) before the 10 Commandments were handed to them and before they reached Israel.
Why wouldnt they still be Gods Chosen People after they accepted the Messiah and moved to their new lands? I cannot see how the 'The Jews' of the New Testament does not refer to Christians - the holders of the New Covenant.

Emmett,

Your interpretation regarding the Katechon as it relates to current events and private revelation hinges on whether or not Pope Benedict resigned validly. Many Catholics have legitimate doubts about the legitimacy of Pope Francis' pontificate, given the many irregularities surrounding Pope Benedict's resignation. After all, we currently have two men dressed in the papal white, something unprecedented in the history of Catholicism. There is such a thing as visibility as regards the Papacy, even if it were to be "eclipsed" as eclipses are highly visible and even a Church in eclipse would remain visible through the crisis. The situation of "two Popes" is unprecedented as every other Pope who resigned in Church history has reverted back to his former title, never remaining in the Vatican and dressed in Papal white and including the word "Pope" in his title. And there is also the fact the credible private revelation spoke about a time of crisis coinciding with "two popes" and I believe the Third Secret also alludes to a "Bishop dressed in White, we had the impression that it was the Holy Father..."

Good faith controversy over the identity of the Roman Pontiff is not schismatic, as Francisco de Lugo (and other faithful Catholic theologians) have pointed out:

"Neither is someone a schismatic for denying his subjection to the Pontiff on the grounds that he has solidly founded ['probabiliter'] doubts concerning the legitimacy of his election or his power".

Although my mind is not made up on this issue of the validity of Pope Francis and I defer judgement to the proper authorities and assume for the time being that he is the real Pope, I can certainly understand the case for him being an antipope and therefore a type of the false prophet (all antipopes are in fact types of the false prophet). The final False Prophet's role is to lend credibility to the secular tyranny of the Antichrist. Pope Francis just recently made it a requirement to have the highly controversial and politicized jab to enter the Vatican. Covidism is in fact a precursor to the materialistic idolatry that will be enforced and worshiped by the Antichrist. And now we see that nature herself is starting to respond. I guess we will know rather shortly which interpretation regarding the situation of the Resignation is the correct one, as I feel that the situation is coming to the denouement.

P5borel said...

Emmett,

I sense that you believe it would be a sin to think that Francis might be a heretic or an antipope, but there have been antipopes and it is possible for popes to be heretics and if so then they no longer are pope.
Don't get angry with me, but I am almost 100% convinced by Ann Barnhardt and Dr. Mazza's thesis that Pope Benedict XVI's resignation was invalid for many reasons and therefore either in spite of himself, or on purpose, he pulled a very very clever maneuver which would cause the wolves to expose themselves as wolves which would have the effect of purifying the church. And..... iiifffffff, that were to be so, wouldn't that make it possible that the restrainer or the katekon is Pope Benedict XVI and wouldn't that move your timetable forward to maybe way sooner that you had predicted and quite possibley to very soon that the megatsunami might take place???

If anyone should have a problem with an invited speaker to their local church, it may be a good idea to have a word with them afterwards and discuss your concerns...

I was reading through your old blog post about Pope St. Pius X and the indefectibility of the Church, and you had this to say which was pretty interesting.

“The indefectibility of the Church was upheld by Pope St. Pius X himself, which is a sad irony, since it is this saintly pontiff who lends his name to the SSPX - one of the chief sources of the current opposition to the pontificate of Pope Francis.”

@Mick O'Maidan -

This is a matter of import. CAFOD is not a 'humanitarian' organisation doing 'humanitarian' work. It is a Roman Catholic organisation doing the work of the Roman Catholic Church.

If that fits within someone definition of 'humanitarian', then fine.
But it is not a humanitarian exercise.

The Roman Catholic Church and Faith may have at various times shared interests with Ecological or Humanitarian or Socialist or Capitalist or Protestant or Hindu groups but that in no way whatsoever means we espouse or adhere or accept these ideologies/heresies in their totality.

This sort of unthinking, right-on-ism is nothing more than an expression of an individual intellectual confusion in these matters and their own personal desires to 'feel good' about themselves; "It makes me feel good to think this, so it must be Roman Catholic, like me!"

The Church, the Faith is not your plaything; you are subject to it, not the other way
around.

We're not here to give the thumbs up to feelgood, bumper-sticker ideologies; we are the Roman Catholic Church. Its about time people started to man-up and accept that responsibility.

(@Emmett - I think I've been very nice and restrained here.)

Hey Mick, I could not agree with you more. My late wife was Lakota and their spirituality all revolves around us owning nothing, not a single possession, that all we have is on loan from the Creator for us to use, from the clothes on our backs to the ecosystem itself. They used to have a once-a-year ceremony for each band where everyone placed every possession out in from of their tipi or lodge and anyone took anything they wanted from everyone else. It eliminated poverty, dissuaded greed, but those were just some fringe benefits, the main thing was that it was a tangible acknowledgement that everything we have is God's, not ours, and we have a responsibility to take care of that which He has entrusted to us as well.

If we don't take care of it it will not take care of us (and with our economic systems relying on unlimited growth to function, it's only common sense that it is the irresistible force meeting the immovable object of a world made up of delicate balances and finite resources that we are rapidly running out of, things that are vital to the way Western liberal democratic societies function, and we're running out of a whole lot of those things).

She wasn't a Christian but she studied the Bible and liked to point out that the most proper translation from Genesis is not that man has dominion over the Earth and all its creatures, but a stewardship, same as it says about men having stewardship over women, that is, an obligation to take care of them, as we are similarly called to take care of the Earth, plants, animals, etc. I guess people can believe what they want to believe, but the clock is ticking.

I've given up trying to convince people who don't believe climate change is real that it is; by this point if someone can't accept the overwhelming evidence of what's happening to the planet than my own breath would just be wasted, but the idea that even being *concerned* with our ecosystem (we only have one of them, and we are on target to having a world that by 2100 will only be able to support ~250 million people tops, and there is nothing in prophecy or scripture that discounts such a possibility, in fact, I think Revelations give hints of this being something that could happen), that even being concerned about the state of the environment is somehow bad is simply mind-boggling to me, but I guess we'll all see how things go over the next ~30 years or so.

Bridgit, thanks so much for sharing that good news about a Bishop converting to Catholicism!! That reminded me of a few of us that were expecting some big event around England's Rededication as the Dowry of Mary, either around that time or to come, that leads to England's conversion (and I suppose Brexit, and I'm still shocked how the Covid Pandemic seems to coincide so closely to the Rededication). That all somehow dropped off my radar until you mentioned this Bishop coming home...thank you!

Oh, for an easy to use free astronomy app (mine is in Android but I'm guessing there's an Apple one, too) I really like SkySafari. To get POV from other stars and planets you have to pay 4 bucks, but the free app itself can show different astronomical events (users can share online, so you can download for free things to watch like the Big Dipper developing between ~170,000BC, skipping in 1000 year increments, right up until today and into the future, as one interesting one out of many). There's probably many other ones that are probably better, but I really like SkySafari, it's got the standard "look at the sky with my phone" app that's great for things like when I watched the Perseids meteor shower wayyy out in the country, and there were so many stars visible it was hard to even locate easy things like the Big Dipper or Orion without it! IT's very easy to use, or to set to certain dates like the 2029 alignment.

Hi Emmett,
Our Bible Study group is doing the Concentration to St. Joseph. In an article I read outside of Fr. Calloway’s book the author interpreted the restraining force not as the Holy Spirit, but referred to the restrainer as St. Joseph. It went on to say that when he is removed the Blessed Mother comes forth to battle Lucifer. The article even mentioned this may happen on December 8th, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. We don’t know the day or the hour. St. Joseph was the protector of the Christ child so may he also be the restrainer, the protector of Christ’s Church? This makes sense to as the Holy Family is likened to an earthly Trinity. Four days before 12/8/21, on 12/4/21 there is to be a Total Solar Eclipse, the sign of Jonah, the sign of repentance. We have been told by the seers in Medjugorje that Fr. Ljubicic will announce three days in advance, or on 12/1/21 or 12/2/21, the Warning. This is when we are to see ourselves as God sees us. Will the Warning occur on the day of the Total Solar Eclipse on 12/4/21? Four days after the total solar eclipse is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on 12/8/21, the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the Blessed Mother. Will this bring people to Baptism and Confession? Then four days later is 12/12/21, the Feast of the Virgin of Guadalupe, which we associate with mass conversions. We should not wait to get to confession and to bring people to the Lord for baptism and repentance. God bless us all!

I found it interesting Archbishop Vigano stated in a letter recently that Pope Benedict is the "Restrainer" spoken of in Scripture. Prior to reading that, I see felt inspired in prayer that upon his death, the Door of Mercy would close, and the Door of Justice would open. My daughter, unaware of all this stated that she heard the Blessed Mother in her prayer say she was preparing Pope Benedict himself and us for his death. I believe we will be seeing God's hand soon.

samuelj said...

Unknown, would you have more on this letter from Vigano and the Benedict/restrainer connection?

I have only read Viganos letters on LifeSite News. There are also interviews he has done. I will look when I can, but that is where I read it.

Mary ELlen said...

Pope Francis opened the Door of Mercy on Dec. 8, 2015, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, and closed it on Nov. 20, 2016.

The feast of all Saints and all Souls will have happened on Nov. 1st and 2nd. Then comes the Feast of Hanukkah beginning on 11/28/21 at sundown. It is said they were remembering the Feast of Sukkot that they did not get to celebrate due to the Maccabean Revolt. Sukkot is the feast of the first fruits of the Harvest. Will this be a time of harvest as we move from Hanukkah to a possible announcement of the warning on 12/1/21, to the Solar Eclipse on 12/4/21, the sign of Jonah-a sign of repentance. When the sun is darkened will we see Christ’s crucifix in the heavens, the Warning of which they speak? Will the restrainer be taken away and will the Blessed Mother come forward on her journey to triumph over Satan on 12/8/21, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception? Will we be ready to assist our Blessed Mother? Pray for God’s grace that he will strengthen us in his virtues of faith, love, fidelity, Courage, obedience, chastity, and that we will hold tight to the Sacred and Immaculate hearts of Jesus and Mary and ask for the protection of St. Joseph.

Matthew 24: 9 (Then they will hand you over to persecution, and they will kill you.). This is happening to Christians all over the world. The dead in Christ will rise first. So too, we must also be prepared, for at an hour we do not expect, the Son of Man will come. Jesus, we trust in you.

On 09/23/17 we saw Rev. 12 in the dawn sky foretelling of the second coming of Christ. He is coming. Be ready.

Kat(echon) is compound word. Acts 8:7 and Acts 16:16 speak of those who 'had'(echon) or were 'possessed' of an unclean spirit. Rev.9:1-12 speaks of the Abyss being opened along with the King of Abbadon, the Destroyer. It is conjecture that this will unleash 'the man of lawlessness' spoken of in 2 Thess. 2:3,and who is being 'restrained' or 'held back' until now.

Now, whether 'the star out of heaven' which is given the key to open the Abyss (Rev.9:1-2)is 'the restrainer', is just plain conjecture. It is important to remember, by two or witnesses a thing is established, for prophecy is not of private interpretation. God sent to Israel three prophets announcing the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 B.C. Jeremiah, Daniel and Ezekiel.

Unknown said...

So, Kat(down, below)echon (have, hold) could be speaking of the angel or king of Abaddon, or Apollyon (Rev.9:11) who is held down in the Abyss, more specifically in the 'shaft' of the Abyss.(Rev.9:2)from which smoke from like a great furnace arises The anti-christ is called the 'son of perdition', that is the son of 'apoleias' (destruction). This Greek word, is derived from the word for Apollyon of Rev.9:11. Judas Iscariot is also called the 'son of pedition', that is the son of 'apoleias' (John 17:12)

Thus, another possible perspective on 'the restrainer' who holds down the anti-christ, the son of 'perdition', or 'destruction' who ascends from the Abyss (Rev.17:8,11) when 'the star from heaven' releases the angel, or king of Abaddon, Appolyon.

Duke said...

So I read the letter from Fr. Michel Rodrigue suggested above, and I find it really interesting that the restrainer is St. Joseph. It also connects with Archbishop Vigano's theory of Benedict XVI being the restrainer, as he is nearing death, especially now, when broken by Pope Francis' destruction of his entire legacy (Summorum Pontificum and hermeneutic of continuity). And what is Benedict's name? Joseph!

St. John of the Cross writes that private revelations, dreams, locutions and the like should remain private. Why? Because they can be from one's own imagination, from the evil one, or actually from God. If they are from God, they will impress upon the memory over a length of time within one's own spirit. Such 'revelations' will not exalt but humble the individual into praying for one's own conversion, for the body of Christ, and for the unbelieving world.

It is enough to focus on this teaching of Jesus Christ: "You have heard that it has been said, 'you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy', but I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you that you may be the children of your Father in heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends His rain on the just and the unjust...therefore, be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect." And in what way are we to be perfect as our heavenly Father? He shows mercy towards the evil and the good through His Son who died for all of us who are/were enemies of God, and even prayed for his persecutors while dying on the cross of our salvation.

One aspect of the authentic Great Monarch prophecies, as opposed to the royalist folklore or forgeries of the nineteenth century - whether Western or Eastern Catholic - which I think is worthy of note, is the idea that the Great Monarch might be of economically poor birth status or humble estate, as well as coming from relative or total obscurity.

This is a very common 'theme' and you can see it in a number of Eastern Orthodox prophecies too: for instance, a ninth century prophetic exegesis of Daniel, which states that "from the city called Rebel City [they] find there someone by divine revelation in the midst of it carrying two coins in order to receive crumbs. And they will seize him, whose name is in the thirtieth chapter, and lead him to Akrodunion. And there they will anoint him forthwith emperor".

Here the Great Monarch is depicted, literally, as a beggar and, indeed, in the later Cento of the True Emperor from the 14th century he is actually named "the much-discussed beggar and chosen emperor, known and unknown". Other prophecies do not go quite as far in describing him as an actual 'down-and-out' but there is a clear consensus that he will be from poor and working class stock, as the Cento notes: "he is intelligent and knows many things, he has foresight and is cognizant of the text of prophecies, which he relates to others and shares that information with others; his nose is a little curved; the eyes are prominent. He is poor, his hair is cut short and he is dressed in poor clothing which is used for custodial work."

Likewise, the tenth century prophecy of St. Andrew the Fool from Constantinople again reiterates that he will rise from poverty: "in the last days God the Lord will raise a king from poverty and he will reign in justice; he will become agreeable to everyone through charity, and will abolish every war, and he will take care that the poor become rich. And there will be peace in the way it was in Noah’s days."

Once again, the character trait described here is consistent with many of the Western prophecies of the Latin Church, which also emphasize his very lowly origins. To cite only one example among many, there is a curial prophecy of the Last Emperor from the thirteenth century English Cistercian Cardinal John of Toledo, dating from the 1250-60s:

"A new king will come and will prostrate the whole world, To vanquish with horror of war the farthest region. He hastens from the high and craggy mountains, From an unhoped-for source, a mild man without guile. Poor in resources, rich in goodness, richest in his Bountiful understanding. Because of his merit God will be his seer. He will conquer the Sicilians and the evil tribe of the Savage Frederick. They will not be named any more. He will rebuild all the things which the harsh Frederick, His savage shoot, and its successor overthrew. Under the guidance of the Pope he will put the Romans in sore straits; They will strengthen Rome and thus bear the burden. After that, by battle they will drag the followers of Mohammed to Christ. So that there will be one flock and one shepherd. You, my companions, have confidence that all these things Were revealed to me."

Translated from 0. Halder-Egger, "ltalienische Prophetieen,"' Neues Archiv (1905), 30:383-84.

I have noticed a tendency, based on some spurious prophecies widely distributed on the internet (but not authentically medieval), for people to speculate on Great Monarch candidates by scouring the ranks of Catholic royal dynasties or deposed-in-exile houses, such as the Hapsburgs.

All of these persons, including those belonging to the deposed royal houses, are wealthy.

According to the witness of the authentic prophecies, the consensus is that the real Great Monarch will be like King David, Cyrus the Great and Our Lord Jesus Himself - hailing from a poor, humble background with few economic resources prior to his ascent to power and fame.

John Fitzgerald said...

@Azadi - Yes, that's very interesting. Very probable too. Like yourself, and as the prophecies you quote suggest, I too expect the GM to arise from a humble/working class background. The only thing I'd add is that I don't think that necessarily precludes a royal or noble lineage. St.Joseph himself belonged to the Royal House of David yet he wasn't living in a palace but working as a carpenter at the time of the Incarnation. Our Lady too, I've heard, was likewise of royal descent yet lived a very ordinary life up to the day of the Annunciation.

J.R.R. Tolkien explores this motif beautifully in The Lord of the Rings, where Aragorn, who' very much a GM figure - maybe even a foreshadowing of the real-time GM to come - spends the first part of the book with the vast majority of folk completely unaware of who he is. The royal line from which he descends has long fallen into obscurity. He is seen by most as an eccentric wanderer and something of an oddball.

It's the same now. In today's topsy-turvy world, where so much that is base is lauded and so much that is noble is disregarded and despised, it's quite conceivable that the GM could be among us right now - in the pub, at church, in the job-centre - unaware as yet, as is everyone else, of the high destiny God has given him.

He could be the next person you speak to. He could be standing or sitting right next to you now. He could indeed be you.

PasserBy said...

@Azadi - good post.

@John Fitzgerald - good reply. But arent most people in Europe descended from some royal or other;statistically speaking at any rate.

To mash both of your posts together, I have written many times that the family lineage, sobriquets and other qualities and characteristics applied to the GM are clues to his identity and values.

So, for example, his comparison to King Pepin refers to his (Pepins) defence of the Papacy, expansion of his empire and his being undefeated in war.

By the same token his being called King of the Franks, reigning over Portugal and such like, clearly are not real attributes, rather indicate that he will be somehow elected to a position in Europe.

People take far too much of these prophecies literally rather than understanding their symbolic and spiritual meanings; the French neo-Monarchists being a perfect example.

Azadi said...

@John Fitzgerald and @PaserBy

Good responses from both of you, I concur!

Back in 2013, a team of geneticists led by Peter Ralph and Graham Coop statistically calculated that all living Europeans are descended from exactly the same people. Basically put, everyone alive in the ninth century who sired descendants is the ancestor of every living European today, including Charlemagne, Drogo, Pippin and Hugh.

So, for the Charlemagne - Pepin dimension of the prophecies (quite apart from their symbolic and spiritual application), they indicate little other than that the GM will be European - or at least of European heritage.

With that being said, I do not preclude that the Great Monarch could be both working class by birth and also descended from a more recent royal lineage (i.e. post-16th century). There is many a family genealogical research endeavour that has discovered this for the average Joe, through a so-called 'gateway' ancestor - such as a 17th century baron or some such, which then leads directly on to royalty further back in the pedigree.

I guess what I was really trying to emphasize is that it's fruitless to actively be 'looking' for the GM among the ranks of the presently famous, as some are - before his time, just as it would have been to do so for David the sheep-herder son of Jesse from his nondescript village in ancient Israel, prior to the prophet Samuel locating and annointing him by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Many of the authentic prophecies (those we can verifiably trace to medieval provenance, through academic scholarship on the matter) consistently indicate that he will be of humble birth and largely, or completely, unknown before his time - just like Our Lord, son of the carpenter of Nazareth, was.

We will all know of the GM, if his advent is within our lifetimes, when he achieves what God in his divine plan has preordained him to achieve.

Consider his typological predecessors in the Old Testament, after whom the Great Monarch will be patterned: in the First Book of Samuel chapter 16, King Saul is the ruling monarch of the Kingdom of Israel, when God suddenly directs the prophet Samuel to go to the obscure village of Bethlehem and anoint a mere shepherd-boy and musician, the youngest son of the farmer Jesse, as the new King:

"The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you grieve over Saul? I have rejected him from being king over Israel. Fill your horn with oil and set out; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have provided for myself a king among his sons.”... But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for the Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”...

Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all your sons here?” And he said, “There remains yet the youngest, but he is keeping the sheep.” And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him; for we will not sit down until he comes here.” He sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and had beautiful eyes, and was handsome. The Lord said, “Rise and anoint him; for this is the one.”

Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the presence of his brothers; and the spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward."

(1 Samuel 16:1-13)

This poor, unknown young man tending his father's flock in the fields, then goes on to defeat Goliath and unify Israel and Judah, establishing the United Kingdom's capital in Jerusalem which will henceforth be known forever as the Holy City and inaugurating the new dynasty from which, centuries later, the Son of God himself will issue in the same village of Bethlehem - again as the son of poor parents, Joseph the carpenter and his young wife Mary, Our Lady.

This dynamic, his ascent from poverty, coheres with one of the most important themes of Sacred Scripture referred to by the Virgin Mary, Our Lady, in her Magnificat in Luke:

And Mary said,

“My soul magnifies the Lord,
47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant.
Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
50 His mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
51 He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
52 He has brought down the powerful from their thrones,
and lifted up the lowly;
53 he has filled the hungry with good things,
and sent the rich away empty."

(Luke 1:46-53)

@John Fitzgerald I also think that's a very pertinent point about Aragorn.

To me, Tolkien Lord of the Rings (and its immense popularity among today's youth and younger generations to this day, with Amazon Prime's upcoming TV adaption of the Second Age part of the Silmarillion), is quite possibly providential - inasmuch as it has inseminated the longing for such an archetypal figure, and subtly implanted Catholic moral values, right at the heart of modern secular consumerist culture.

Like seeds of the Word, preparing the way - without being in any way 'overt'. As Tolkien himself noted: “The Lord of the Rings is of course a fundamentally religious and Catholic work; unconsciously so at first, but consciously in the revision. That is why I have not put in, or have cut out, practically all references to anything like ‘religion’, to cults or practices, in the imaginary world. For the religious element is absorbed into the story and the symbolism.” (L:172)

Many fans of Tolkien's Middle-Earth universe and The Lord of the Rings are unaware that he explicitly conceptualised the "progress of the tale" to reflect a fictionalised, fantasy version of the re-establishment of the undivided (west and east) Roman Empire in Europe.

Aragorn is very much modelled after Charlemagne, while Gandalf is an exemplar of the papacy and the highly priestly office. Arnor is akin to Northern Europe - Britain, Scandinavia, France, Germany and Central Europe - whilst Gondor is akin to southern Europe - as for instance Italy, Greece, Spain and Turkey (Byzantium).

That Gandalf crowns Aragorn the new King of the Reunited Kingdom of Gondor and Arnor, which re-imposes a single political system over most of northern and southern Middle-Earth that is honoured even beyond its borders as the High Kingdom of Men, is not accidental. Tolkien intended it to mirror Pope Leo III's coronation of Charlemagne as Holy Roman Emperor of Christendom.

The signs are hardly subtle, for even the modestly discerning eye. In the first instalment, The Fellowship of the Ring, we find this tantalising little poem that prophesies a royal restoration:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_that_is_gold_does_not_glitter

From the ashes, a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king

When Aragorn finally assumes the long lost throne of both the vanished, dismembered lands of the former kingdom of Arnor and that of Gondor - which had been ruled by stewards without a monarch for centuries - and joins them together again into one great realm just like his ancestors Elendil and Isildur ruled over, it must be noted that this is a supranational realm that covers the entirety of a landmass that Tolkien considered to be analogous to continental Europe.

Tolkien wrote in a letter that “the action of the story takes place in the North-west of ‘Middle-earth’, equivalent in latitude to the coastlands of Europe and the north shores of the Mediterranean… If Hobbiton and Rivendell are taken (as intended) to be at about the latitude of Oxford, then Minas Tirith, 600 miles south, is about at the latitude of Florence. The Mouths of Anduin and the ancient city of Pelargir are at about the latitude of ancient Troy… The progress of the tale ends in what is far more like the re-establishment of an effectively Holy Roman Empire with its seat in Rome.” (The Letters of J. R. R. Tolkien, p. 376).

In Tolkien’s long letter to Milton Waldman (also in The Letters of JRRT), the author explicitly makes a correlation of Gondor to Byzantium, writing that “in the south Gondor rises to a peak of power, almost reflecting Númenor, and then fades slowly to a decayed Middle Age, a kind of proud, venerable, but increasingly impotent Byzantium.” (p. 157).

See:

http://www.the-wagnerian.com/2013/04/tolkien-wagner-nationalism-modernity.html

But, from its original inception as a myth for England, the legendarium grew much larger in scope and significance. The story, especially The Lord of the Rings, became much more than a myth for any one people or nation.

It, instead, became a myth for the restoration of Christendom.

With the return of the king, Aragorn, to his rightful throne, Tolkien argued, the "progress of the tales ends in what is far more like the re-establishment of an effective Holy Roman Empire with its seat in Rome." Considering the intense religiosity of Tolkien and his belief that God led him to and through the mythology, it would be difficult for the devout Roman Catholic to conclude otherwise.

His myth, he hoped, would help impede the rise of nationalism.

Witnessing unification in the United States, Germany, and Italy, [Catholic] Whig historian Lord Acton stressed that the rise of nationalism would quickly mean the end of Christendom and western ideals regarding the sovereign person created in the image of God. "Christianity rejoices at the mixture of races," he wrote in his famed essay "Nationalism." Paganism, however, "identifies itself with their differences, because truth is universal, errors various and particular."

Though writing in 1862, Acton seemingly understood that a Nietzsche would soon arise. "By making the State and the nation commensurate with each other in theory," Acton continued, those deemed inferior will be "exterminated, or reduced to servitude, or outlawed, or put in a condition of dependence."

@Azadi - Those are superb comments - enlightening, informative and edifying. I first heard of the Great Monarch in July 1981 (I was 9 years old) in a Sunday newspaper's serialisation and adaptation of the prophecies of Nostradamus. I remember thinking as I read it, 'Thank God for the Great Monarch', and he's a figure who's stayed with me since.

The Lord of the Rings is much in my mind at the moment. I've recently embarked on a slow, meditative rereading - just 4 pages a day - from Michaelmas to (if all goes well) the great feast of John the Baptist at midsummer. I'm very much reading it through the prism of what we're talking about here - the Return of the King, the restoration of the Empire, which is the earthly reflection of the Heavenly order, and the reorientation of society towards the Divine. That's why I started with the appendices, which, as you know, put Aragon's life in the wider context of his sacred, kingly mission.

It really does make a world of difference.

@John Fitz - Are you the same John from Sale/Timperley in Manchester who used to have a blog?

@Azadi - are there any other blogs/forums you could recommend?

John Fitzgerald said...

@PasserBy - Thanks very much! The same to you. Yes, I'm from Didsbury actually though we live in North Wales now. I did have a blog - it's still there - 'Deep Britain and Europe' - but I gave it up in the summer. I wàs getting too fixated with it - obsessed with how many/few readers I had - and I felt it was keeping me from fully focusing on the longer, more substantial piece of work I'm engaged with now. I'm not like Emmett! I felt that if I wasn't posting every couple of weeks then I'd become a 'forgotten man.' I saw the scale of my own insecurity and egotism and changed course. Now I just make the odd comment on blogs like this. I only wish I could make a living from it!

@John - I knew the name rang a bell.

Anyways, I'm gonna throw out some thoughts as they occur to me on the subject of this Great Monarch / Katechon so I cannot guarantee coherence, ok?

The idea that the GM will walk with a limp is widely known. I'm thinking that as well as being a physical attribute, this may be a reference to Jacob fighting with God at Peniel.
After this Jacob walked with a limp.
To my mind this symbolises someone struggling with their faith which I think may be an indicator of the GMs character.

More random nuggets to follow as they occur to me...

Jason R. said...

I read a really interesting book seven years ago the does quite a deep dive on The Lord of the Rings as allegory for the GM, etc., so this is exciting to read that other people have made that connection.

I'm not advocating any of the idea in the book, nothing like that, but I thought some folks might find it as intriguing a read as I did (it's available here on the author's blog site as a free e-book download): https://ea-bucchianeri.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html

Of interest might be another book available there by the some author that filled in a whole lotta blanks for me called "WE ARE WARNED: The Prophecies of Marie-Julie Jahenny", again available as a free e-book.

Emmett, I hope it's okay to be recommending other books on your blog? I could understand if that isn't kosher considering your own work, but I really found these complements to "Unveiling The Apocalypse" that I stumbled across while doing further research after reading your own much more scholarly book. If it's impolite of me or just not proper in whichever way please delete this post, I wouldn't want to step on your own work on these overlapping subjects!

PasserBy said...

I'm just going to stick with the limp for now, because I believe those clever seers imbud it with much more meaning than initially seems.

Perhaps Azari could comment on that one? I understand its some German folk writing, if memory serves.

While I acknowledge that the authenticity of these writings remains.... questionable, in tandem with some other prophecies they indicate the Monarch figure will at least originate in England. I use it only to illustrate that there may be hidden or misunderstood information both symbolic and actual in the simplest of phrases.

The quote is something along the lines of the 'King mounts his horse on the right because he is lame'.
This line, as well as alluding to the Monarchs 'limp' may indicate where he comes from - within Europe only the UK drives on the left and so has the driver entering on the right. Thus the fact that he 'mounts his horse on the right' is a crucial indicator not an incidental detail.

Jason R. said...

Hmmm, this may be pushing it even more, I don't want to be cannibalizing any readership, but the same author also has another blog that is a really good quick reference guide to all the prophecies through the centuries on the GM and AP as well. Again, not endorsing any of her own interpretations or anything like that, it's just a good resource.

From what I have read the Great Emperor is supposed to be an officer in the French army who God give favor to. He is prophesized to be of the line of Saint Luis and the Austrian Hapsburgs. Currently there is only one man that belongs to both lines known.
I believe that Pope Francis is the Holy pope. I know many feel he is deviating from the faith, but we do not know if God is ordering these moves and is testing the church.

@Bridget, you ask who is the Great Monarch? Below you will find an initial answer to this question in my comment posted on the blog http://radtradthomist.chojnowski.me/2021/10/the-last-vision-had-by-three-children.html#comments

[quote] Anonymous said: "Is it possible that the rule of this peace loving English king [Edward the Confessor] who ruled his kingdom in holiness, peace, justice, and charity until his death could be a foreshadowing of the future "Pax Mariana"; ...?
Your intuition is right, Anonymous! You probably know the story, but read again http://www.jewelry-history.com/2012/06/st-edwards-sapphire.html. Since this ring was offered by the king, St. John the Evangelist became the mystical king of England, and he revealed this to two English pilgrims in the Holy Land in the Lord's year 1065. St. King Edward died on January 5, 1066, on the eve of the Epiphany, commemorating the visit of the three kings from the East with the king of the Universe, Jesus Christ. Also st. Joseph of the royal lineage of David was present there. So it can be said that there were four kings and the alleged fifth, that is, the consort of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
King Edward's sapphire is stuck in the Maltese cross atop of the Imperial State Crown, which only confirms that England / Great Britain mystically belongs to St. John the Evangelist. England is also a dowry of the Virgin Mary. The act of donation of England as a dowry was officially made by King Richard II on June 13, 1381.
For the second time, St. John the Evangelist appeared in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland in a town called Knock on August 21, 1879. St. John appeared there in the company of the Blessed Virgin, who holds the crown of England in dowry, and in the company of St. Joseph. The latter played a passive role there to indicate the nature of the mutual relationship between the active heroes of this event, that is, John the Evangelist reading the sealed Book of the Apocalypse, and the Blessed Virgin as the orant. The Crown of England binds these two together like a king and a queen!
On the same day, that is August 21, 1879, the image of the Virgin Mary was coronated in La Salette, and in fact it was the coronation of the Eldest Daughter of the Church. It happened in the Dauphiné, because the Holy Virgin appeared there as a Dauphine (regional dress!) in search of her spouse, the Dauphin. The coronation in La Salette AD1879 announces the coronation of the Eldest Son of the Church, who is still unknown by name, i.e. the arch-Christian king of France. We know only that he is a type of the beloved disciple of the Lord John the Theologian, the disciple who took the Blessed Virgin into his home, just as Saint Joseph did. This still unknown ruler will be king not only of all christianitas, but of all inhabited earth.
The Miracle of the Sun at Fatima took place on October 13, 1917, the feast of Saint Edward the Confessor, commemorating the translation of his relics on October 13, AD1263 (and October 13, AD1269). In Fatima, next to the Woman Clothed with the Sun, appeared successively: Our Lord Jesus Christ and St. Joseph with the Holy Child. It was not a spectacle like in a kaleidoscope: first the Lord Jesus as a mature man, and then the same Jesus Christ as a boy. No, that's not the point. This Holy Child is the announcement of the revelation of the person of the great monarch of the end times, the mystical spouse of the Blessed Virgin, the monarch of all Christianitas and of all inhabited earth, as it is presented in the Apocalypse, as commented on by the Fathers of the Church, as has been portrayed in numerous prophecies.
Dear Anonymous, your intuition is correct! [quote ends]

@Azadi [Oct. 10th] said: "Here the Great Monarch is depicted, literally, as a beggar..."
If you already know the story of the King Edward's Ring, then note that St. John the Evangelist asked the king for alms (and was given a ring) when the Monarch went to dedicate the church bearing the name of the same St. John in a place later called Havering (now part of London)! Metaphorically, this means that an unknown beggar, but par excelence a Catholic, will become the legal ruler of England and receive the imperial crown of the state, because this royal jewel-amethyst is bound with this Maltese cross on top of that crown. Your intuition does not mislead you!

This piece by Emmett (21/11/11) is very germane to this discussion - King Edward's vision of a 'Second Pentecost' which will begin in England -

http://unveilingtheapocalypse.blogspot.com/2011/11/prophecy-of-st-edward-confessor.html

Edward's sanctity is attested to by Shakespeare in Act 4 Scene 3 of Macbeth. Malcolm is talking here of the King's ability to cure disease ...

... A most miraculous work in this good King;
which often, since my here-remain in England,
I have seen him do. How he solicits heaven,
Himself best knows, but strangely-visited people,
All swoln and ulcerous, pitiful to the eye,
The mere despair of surgery, he cures,
Hanging a golden stamp about their necks,
Put on with holy prayers: and 'tis spoken,
To the succeeding royalty he leaves
The healing benediction. With this strange virtue,
He hath a heavenly gift of prophecy,
And sundry blessings hang about his throne,
That speak him full of grace.

Healing and prophecy are associated with the Great Monarch too, of course, and these are traits we see very much highlighted (as we've been speaking about recently) in the figure of Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings. I'm reading the e-book you mentioned, Jason, about The LOTR and prophecies of the GM. The writing-style doesn't flow very well in my view but the content's very insightful and revealing.

I posted a comment on your blog (very valuable articles you write) https://deepbritainandeurope.blogspot.com/2021/05/berdyaev-and-tarkovsky-apocalypse-and.html. Although I am not an Englishman, I appreciate your homeland very much for the spiritual content of its Christian history (Edward the Confessor, Our Lady of Walsingham on Wembley on Pentecost AD1982, Simon Stock, Thomas More, John Fisher, etc, etc) and most importantly because the Holy Virgin has accepted England as a dowry. Two years ago I wrote a longer text about the 'British Solar Eclipse' on 3/2 July 2019 - you will find quite a lot of observations of Great Britain from a continental point of view. The text is long (over 60,000 characters), so I won't post it as a comment on ' deep Britain & Europe '- I only put the first page there.

Lets have a look at another quote, this time from St Hildegard (one of my favourite saints, as it happens!)

Peace will return when the Lily ascend the Throne again. The land will be very productive.

Now this one is incomplete to me, perhaps some of you can help.

I'll start at the end with the quote about the land being 'very productive'.
What does that mean? Why would it be relevant to anything?
Odd, no?

Well, to my mind, it indicates that there will be a huge amount of death.
Bodies will be buried and blood spilled everywhere, thus the soil will be fertile with the corpses of men.

But the bit about the Lily and the Throne....again?
Surely the only Throne of consequence to Hildegard would be the Throne of Peter?
Thus the Lily occupying it 'again' is a clue to what Pope might be seated?

Is there a Pope associated with the Lily who has occupied the Throne of Peter before?
Any help here?

MyronM said...

@PasserBy said: ...an another quote, this time from St Hildegard...
"Peace will return when the Lily ascend the Throne again. The land will be very productive."

Cumbre Vieja volcano, or rather Cabeza de Vaca (= Cow's Head), exploded on September 19, 2021, at 3:12 PM (local time), exactly at the same time of day that 175 years ago the Blessed Virgin appeared to children grazing cattle in La Salette. Melanie and Maximim grazed 8 cows (not sheep!). September 19, 1846 was Saturday, that is St. Mary's Day, and September 19 this year was Sunday, or Lord's Day. First, take note of this 'Saturday - Sunday' coincidence (that is, Our Lady gives way to Our Lord), and now read the first message of Notre Dame de la Salette:
"Come near, my children, be not afraid; I am here to tell you great news. If my people will not submit, I shall be forced to let fall the arm of my Son. It is so strong, so heavy, that I can no longer withhold it. For how long a time do I suffer for you! If I would not have my Son abandon you, I am compelled to pray to him without ceasing; and as to you, you take not heed of it. However much you pray, however much you do, you will never recompense the pains I have taken for you."
If the Cow's Head on the island of La Palma started pouring fiery lava on the anniversary of the apparition in La Salette, it means that Our Lady will no longer resist the punishing hand of her Son, and He has entrusted this task (punishing) to the Prince of the Angelic Hosts, because the official name of this island is: San Miguel de La Palma! Conquistador Alonso de Lugo, sent by the Catholic Monarchs, landed in Tazacorte on September 29, 1492, and exactly 519 years later, the fiery Rock from the Cow's Head reached the ocean in the same Tazacorte, La Palma.
These Catholic Monarchs were then, five centuries ago, Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile. Who are these Catholic monarchs now who are the reason why the Fire-Rock appears on the island of San Miguel de La Palma on September 19 and joins the waters of the Ocean on September 29? You will find the answer in La Salette: The Holy Virgin, this Lys de France, the Eldest Daughter of the Church, appeared there in search of her spouse, the Great Monarch of the end times! When God reveals him to the world - after punishing mankind in an exemplary manner - then the prophecy of Saint Hildegard, quoted by you, PasserBy, and the prophecy of Our Lady of La Salette will come true:
[quote] "...the Lady continued:
If they are converted, the stones and rocks will change into mounds of wheat, and the potatoes will be self-sown in the land." [quote ends]

Oct. 26, Virgen del Amor Hermoso, Cartagena, Murcia, Spain

P.S.
These are still my preliminary remarks regarding the appearance of the Fire-Rock on La Palma. Suffice it to say that today is exactly the 50th anniversary of the eruption of the Teneguia volcano.

Hi

That website arcaneknowledge.org calls the 1879 version a False Version of Melanie’s Secret.

I am not saying that the 2002 version published by arcaneknowledge.org is wrong - I'm saying that the 1879 gives more detail and is necessary to understand coming events.

I say both are written by Mélanie and if one ignores the 1879 version - they do so at their peril.

That website arcaneknowledge.org claims that their version that they published was translated and published in 2002: René Laurentin, Michel Corteville, Découverte du secret de la Salette, 2002. Includes scans of envelope and letter (front and reverse).

Melanie's response to arcaneknowledge.org:

"I protest highly against a different text, which people may dare publish after my death. I protest once more against the very false statements of all those who dare say and write First that I embroidered the Secret; second, against those who state that the Queen Mother did not say to transmit the Secret to all her people." Mélanie

Mélanie Calvat died on 15 December 1904. This version that was published by arcaneknowledge.org was published 98 years after her death.

Mélanie foresaw that men would attack her 1879 published Secret.

You will notice that in the version published by arcaneknowledge.org does not mention:

1. Forerunner to the Antchrist.
2. 35 Years worth of Chastisements

It does mention a Great King:

From the same site: A great king will go up on the throne, and will reign a few years. Religion will re-flourish and spread all over the world, and there will be a great abundance, the world, glad not to be lacking nothing, will fall again in its disorders, will give up God, and will be prone to its criminal passions.

Here is the 1879 Secret on the Forerunner to the Antichrist (that is not in the 2002 Secret) :

“A forerunner of the Antichrist, with his troops gathered from several nations, will fight against the true Christ, the only Saviour of the world. He will shed much blood and will want to annihilate the worship of God to make himself to looked upon as a God. Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)

Here is the 1879 Secret on the 35 years worth of chastisements.

God will abandon mankind to itself and will send punishments which will follow one after the other for more than thirty-five years. Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)

Here is Mélanie's prophecy of the Two Popes + Great Pope + Great Monarch + Great Persecution of the Church:

"I didn't see, I don't see any Great Pope or Great Monarch before an extremely great tribulation, horrifying, terrible and general for all Christendom. But before that time, twice there will be a short lived peace; TWO shaky, servile, doubtful popes" Mélanie

Notice in the above words of Mélanie we must have:

1. TWO Popes
2. Death of TWO Popes
3. Rise of the Forerunner to the Antichrist
4. 35 Years worth of Chastisements
5. Persecution of the Church

If you ignore the 1879 version then you will look for a Great Monarch soon and in fact this Great Monarch of yours will be the Forerunner to the Antichrist.

The Great Monarch will not be manifested to the world until near the end of this 35 Years worth of Chastisements.

Forerunner to the Antichrist and his persecution of the Church will come first.

I wanted to comment on the verse in Revelation: The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed.

I do wonder if the Great City may refer to Rome since Constantinople was "New Rome" and Moscow is known as the "Third Rome." All three cities - which serve as the base Patriarchate of Catholicism, Greek Orthodoxy, and Slavic Orthodoxy - are currently split from one another in terms of ecclesiology yet great efforts are being made in our current day to reconcile and reunite the Catholic communion and Orthodox communion back into the undivided Church of the first millennium.

How much longer before we have to address as Dr. Emmett O'Regan?
Well allow me to be the first, just in case all these end time scenarios listed here occur.
Dr. Emmett O'Regan, congratulations in advance.

I suggest most here stay close to the Sacraments of the Catholic Church.
Our Shepherds are quiet and Our Lord's Flock is wandering...

The Apocalypse. Thats a tough one. Alot of misinterpretation, impatience etc.
My suggestion... before you delve into it Pray to the Holy Spirit for Enlightenment.

But also so the same for the the Catholic Church approved visions of Blessed Mary, Virgin, Mother of God.

Fatima, Fatima, Fatima. Fatima is very important and continues today. Sure, there are those who will try to "bury" Our Lady of Fatima as old and obsolete. But Fatima revealed that war was a punishment for sin. And today's world is well embedded into sin culminated to an extent worse that at Noah's time and Sodom and Gomorrah.

Souls are being lost and that really causes Heaven to weep for that loving Holy Soul now doomed.

Our Lord Jesus had a plan from the beginning to help us in these modern sinful, censored times.
He appeared to St. Faustina and charged her with the monumental task to bring forth to all the world, veneration to His Divine Mercy which focuses on the 3 PM hour when His Heart was opened and His Blood and Water poured out for all humanity.

This Veneration to Our Lord, revealed through St. Faustina is very important to an individual and their family and close ones. Jesus spoke to St. Faustina many times while she was a nun. And Jesus instructed her to write it all down.

Jesus told her alot and revealed the Depths of His Mercy to her. It wasnt easy for St. Faustina, Jesus had to prepare her human being for all the Spiritual Armor and gave her the strength.

In the beginning St. Faustina kinda shied away from this enormous responsibility, buy Jesus warned he that He would hold her accountable for every Soul that was lost because of her lack of total comitment.

Well, thats enough for now. I truly Trust in Jesus. And beg / encourage all here to get a copy of St. Faustina's Diary and the Image of Jesus that He instructed her to paint.

You can save your soul, the souls of the dying and more with veneration and prayers to His Divine Mercy.

I myself for the last forty years attempted to correctly point to worldly events of either manmade or natural,,, and become alarmed that we are at the end of the end times.

So I found all those answers the bloggers are looking for by reading and dwelling in the Unfathomable Ocean of Our Lords Mercy. Try it... You'll like it.

Forgive me if you have already answered this a million times before, but may I ask what you think the chances are of Cumbre Vieja sinking into the ocean causing the mega-tsunami happening on 9th or thereabouts, i.e. right after the close of the Year of St. Joseph who some view as the Katechon?

Secondly, how far inland off the coast of the USA do you think the tsunami waves will reach? (I live about one half hour from Washington DC and am trying to decide if I should conveniently perhaps be further inland on those days.]

Emmett O'Regan said...

I don't think that this event is going to happen until immediately before the reign of the Antichrist. The Antichrist will in turn only come to power after the period of the New Pentecost, which has yet to occur. So I'm not overly worried about the events happening at Cumbre Vieja right now.

I'd like to drop some random comments into this thread if I may -

- The Great Monarch will indeed be poor but he will be 'lifted' or 'raised' by a prodigy of God. That is, God will change his circumstance and/or position, so when we come to know him he may not be as we expect. That said, the idea that he is from some royal family is, to my mind, nonsense.

- I'm not sure of the sequence of events - its never been very clear to me. Across various texts and seers there seems to be some confusion. I would imagine the Katechon to be 'holding back' the material disasters - such as the volcano eruption.
After him and the Holy Pope, antichrist reigns.
St Patricks prophecy indicates that Ireland will be flooded to 'save' it from antichrist.
Thus, it follows that we have Holy Pope and GM. The end of their tenure, the catastrophe (flood) in Ireland and then antichrist.

Emmett - your take on a timeline?

Hey Emmett! Hey everyone! I hope you all are well :)

Emmett, I was curious what you thought of this little blurb in science news. I know this pales in comparison to a supernova visible with the naked eye, but the timing and nature of it was pretty interesting.

Backstory - I’m still very much stuck on this idea of a supernova announcing the restoration of the Church. On the heels of the news of a future meeting between Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill, I decided to do a little digging. Turns out the brightest supernova ever seen took place on February 22, 2016 just ten days after Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill’s first meeting! Even more rare, it appeared to be two stars merging together before exploding causing such an extreme amount of light to be emitted. (This obviously made me think of the two churches joining together.) The other interesting tidbit is this discovery wasn’t published until April 13th, 2020 (which happened to be Easter Monday that year)

https://www.space.com/brightest-supernova-ever-discovered-sn2016aps.html

All that being said, I’m very curious to see what might be in store when their next meeting occurs. Something to watch for sure!

And for anyone needing a recap on where the idea of the Great Schism being bookended by a pair of supernova came from, here is the discussion from 2017!

Bridget21 October 2017 at 20:25
So you've mentioned in the past how the Great Schism in 1054 seemed to coincide with the supernova the same year on July 4, 1054. Emmett, didn't you say the alignment of the seven classical planets happens on July 4th 2020? I remember reading that in one of your comments. What's the connection there? And coincidence that it's Independence Day in the U.S.?

Emmett O'Regan22 October 2017 at 17:53
I didn't realise that the supernova of 1054 fell on the same date as the future planetary alignment in 2020 Bridget! Thanks for pointing this out! The fact that a supernova is expected to appear in 2022 also seems to be of some significance in this regard. It makes me wonder if the reunification of the Eastern Orthodox with Rome will be similarly accompanied by a supernova, as a sort of antithetical parallelism. The prospect of a future supernova brings to mind St. Peter tracing the sign of the Cross over the earth in the prophecy of Bl. Elizabeth Canori-Mora:

"On the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, June 29, 1820, she saw Saint Peter descending from heaven, robed in papal vestments and surrounded by a legion of angels. With his crosier he drew a great cross over the face of the earth, separating it into four quadrants. In each of these quadrants, he then brought forth a tree, sprouting with new life. Each tree was in the shape of a cross and enveloped in magnificent light. All the good laity and religious fled for protection underneath these trees and were spared from the tremendous chastisement. “Woe! Woe to those unobservant religious who despise their Holy Rules. They will all perish in the terrible chastisement together with all who give themselves to debauchery and follow the false maxims of their deplorable contemporary philosophy!...
...However, all will not end in this death and destruction. After these purifying punishments, she saw Saint Peter return on a majestic papal throne together with Saint Paul, who went through the world shackling the devils and bringing them before Saint Peter, who cast them back into the dark caverns from where they had come. “Then a beautiful splendor came over the earth, to announce the reconciliation of God with mankind.”

The above prophecy of the shackling of demons appears to take place at the end of the period of Satan's unbinding. Although, I think any prospects of a supernova to announce the restoration of the Church should be considered separately from the Sign of the Son of Man, which takes place once the fullness of the Gentiles has already been brought in.

I apologize if resurrecting an old thread is bad form, and I understand that many people here support Putin, and I don't understand that and especially when he is attacking the centre of the Ukrainian Catholic Church without provocation tonight, but I'm remembering someone writing how Fr. Malachi Martin wrote somewhat cryptically that the fate of Ukrainian inextricably linked to the Second Pentecost in a manner that reminded me very much of how the Miracle on the Vistula that saved Western Europe from Soviet invasion and domination was credited to Our Lady. I don't remember the particulars, and I know it's outside of the scope of Emmett's blog, but does anyone else remember any of this detail, and what the visionary that foresaw correctly the attacks of 9/11, did she not have something to say about Ukraine's role in very important prophetic events as well, or am I out to lunch here.

And just wanted to make a blanket apology as well that I had a very bad spell of extended rapid cycling with bipolar affective disorder and made more than a bit of a fool of myself, although I must say someone that was a familiar reader and contributor to the blog really acting with a lack of charity to say the least to someone that was ill, and no one really jumped to my defense either, which is disappointing in retrospect, but, hey, people can be cruel, both with their words and with their silences, and that's a shame (thank you Bridgette if you read this to being the one person who stood up and said that I was being treated quite cruelly, that does not at all go unappreciated by me and my new wife I've married since then who read back on the blog commentary with not a small bit of dismay and sadness.

But in any case, if anyone remembers this conversation point and topic about how Ukraine fits into modern prophecy and Malachi Martin's as-usual sort of cryptic laying of bread-crumbs I'd much appreciate any response, thank y'all.

Jason R. said...

Emmett, also do you happen to know anything of the writings of Josyp Terelya and their veracity. The older women at the Ukrainian Catholic church I attend Mass at, or did previous to the pandemic, talked a lot about his book, and looking him up it seems curious that his vision of St. Michael or perhaps it was Our Lady occurred exactly 50 years ago just this February 11th when things become very obvious as to Putin's plans for Ukraine, and what he was shown is terrifying to say the least.

I met Josyp Terelya at a conference in Boston. He was very down to earth. You should read his book. It gives the story of his life in prison and his escapes, then the visitations by Saint Michael and the Blessed Mother among other heavenly figures. It is inspiring and holds prophecy. It is too bad he died. He would have been a valuable asset.

Dear Tom,

Thank you for the recommendation, and, wow, to have met that man as you did!!! I've been looking for his book but it is out-of-print and unavailable through Amazon/Amazon sellers, and on eBay they are selling for hundreds of dollars, which is hard to justify. Do you know if it is still in print anywhere at all?

From the snippets I've watched on YouTube from SpiritDaily (spelling?), it very much sound to me that Russia could be planning to use FAE's (fuel air explosives as you mentioned) but on a much more huge scale than we conventionally think of them. They have a built-in sort of grim bonus that they incinerate bodies to mere dust so it would be difficult to report on civilian casualties properly as they leave no trace.

The prophecies of fires burning, all of Siberia on fire, it sounds to me much more like thermobarics like you mentioned simply because if it were nukes the planet would be without a summer or a growing season for so many years even after a relatively minor exchange (say, between India and Pakistan with a mere 1/4 of their nuclear arsenals) that all live of any kind on Earth would be extinguished in a matter of mere years, something akin to Cormac McCarthy's apocalyptic novel, "The Road"), so massive use of FAEs that would cause giant firestorms like in Tokyo or Dresden but on much grander scales seems to be what is being envisioned, that is what my gut tells me (maybe I'm influenced to living in area, Saskatchewan, where our forests are now tinder boxes with the decrease in moisture and increase in temperature so summer now means "air that is unbreathable"-season, lol, as one who has bad asthma and respiratory allergies.

Do you think Tom that visionary Terelya may have been seeing a combination of extremely-wide-area FAEs combined with just very dried out forest areas, for the vision especially of Russia with first here and there and everywhere, for those familiar with the landscape of Russia, it isn't like, say, the United States, but much more like Canada where here we have 98% of our population within 2% of our land very close to the American border, the rest is tundra but way more so the Canadian Shield, boreal forests, and Russia is covered with the same boreal forests. Also if it were nuclear attack all fuel is incinerated instantly is my understanding while if mass strikes of thermobarics were used the ensuing long-burning firestorms seem to fit more.

However I am noooo physicist or chemist, physical sciences are definitely NOT my forte to say the least!! And fitting with possibly the 1944 Tuy apparition of Our Lady of Fatima perhaps it is the Earth passing through the tail of a very long, ummm, I don't know proper phrasing here, but a long-trajectory comet, say, one that visits Earth only every, just a ridiculously high number, say, every 200,000 years or something, and the fires caused by high combustible comet debris raining down through the atmosphere at supersonic speeds, maybe as war on Earth heats up this will be the Father's way of saying, hey, listen up kids, before you kill yourselves I will discipline you as harshly as I need to to stop you from fighting each other!!! Isn't that just like what an earthly father often does with their quarrelling children, united them by giving them a joint punishment together so they bond back? My dad sure did that!

Jason R. said...

I'll be watching for the 2 stars as well Tom. As it turns out my wife and I (she's Catholic, but also follows her cultures own spiritual practices) are just starting a pilgrimage that I had planned with my late wife (her cousin) 23 years ago, and it includes no electronics, fasting from any unnecessary contact with the outside world, and it culminates in 3 days of fasting from water, food, sleep and shelter leading to the first day of their new year/first day of spring on the full moon in April, their most sacred day. Just as a wild fluke it falls on Holy Saturday this year, so we'll be breaking fast that morning, sleeping through the day on this special hill that is sacred to her people and then holding an Easter vigil, just her and I, on this hill in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

I am such a news junkie, especially when it seems to relate to prophesised events that this is going to be soooo very hard for me being out of touch with what is going on in the wider world, I was sooo dreading that part of it Mick until reading what you wrote. Maybe I need to be cut-off to get a unity of purpose between my body, my mind, my heart, and my soul, all four of my "parts" to really make my prayers worthwhile, to get my mouth closer to our Creator's ear? And my fear is subsiding and being replaced by steadfastness and perseverance, the virtue I need the very most work on, called wowacintanka. When her clan adopted me in 1997 my name in her language given means "possessing of courage never to flee", yes all I've ever done is run from my problems and tremble in fear, not of God, but at the troubles of this world.

What you wrote Mick hit hard that maybe that name of Napayshni that is all my new wife ever calls me by, and it felt like a mocking of my weaknesses up until now, but maybe it was always meant to be aspirational? I'm going to try to step up, and even after the fast from news of the wider world is done instead of spending 8 hours a day consuming, responding to, and arguing about the news of the day I'd start praying the chaplet and rosary every day again like I used to, which now seems a million years ago. Like you wrote and have inspired in me with just a simple sentence, now is the time. Thank you brother.

Jason R. said...

Hmm, well, I called my former bro-in-law, he's just an amateur but is really into astronomy, his telescope is worth more than my vehicle (!) about the two stars, and he thinks it may be this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KIC_9832227 where it was originally predicted but based on some faulty data. Now that I know the area of the sky to watch (I took an intro to astronomy as an easy credit years ago so I enjoy it, and also know the Lakota constellations very well because, well, even the pilgrimage route we are taking called the Sacred Hoop corresponds to stars in the heavens, and to be clear this isn't any kind of astrology or anything like that, there is just a 1:1 mapping of sacred places in the seven US states surrounding Paha Sapa, the Black Hills. OK I'm going wayyy off-topic, but not for no reason, but to ask others to ask for a particular Servant of God's help with the rape of Ukraine.

On that note, I had a miraculous healing occur that happened when I was praying with a pipe after my late wife's great-great-auntie, White Shawl Woman's grave was desecrated in the Moose Jaw Cemetery. I have bipolar affective disorder so I won't write what happened for I don't know what is delusion or not, but it was after praying the prayer for the cause of canonization of the famous Sioux medicine men, Nick Black Elk, that I had 5 incurable illnesses not fully healed, each one was, say, 90% healed. My healings don't count for anything for his cause I found though, a healing must be both instantaneous and complete, and mine were not complete. And it seems specifically so, like, for instance, a big ugly scar all across my right wrist from a suicide attempt; the scar instantly disappeared, but there is about a 1/2 cm tiny piece of it left. Same with dilated cardiomyopathy... my upper left ventricle that was between 5 and 6x normal size with run-away tissue overgrowth, it instantly went down, impossible!!, to under 2x normal size, but again, not a complete healing, and so it is with the other 3 things I have that healed. Why God would leave a small remnant of each so I can't help Black Elk's cause for sainthood, I don't understand why, but I'm just grateful in any case. I've been given a second crack at life, and all this anger that has been in me as long as memory serves has fled me also.

Like I had a heart issue where I definitely would be dead by 2025, and it healed enough that it's still a problem but there is no reason I can't live to 100 now, my cardiologist says it's a miracle. He's an evangelical Christian, and he seemed to me to be rather underwhelmed by the entire thing!!! He simply said he's seen medical miracles so many time over his career, people just don't talk about them because they don't want to be perceived as crazy basically.

So, well, I get the feeling that Nicholas Black Elk, Servant of God, is eager to help out, so if anyone feels a tug toward it, the prayer for his cause is available with a quick web search, and there, ahhh, I'll share the link actually to the video produced by the Diocese of Rapid City. He is being considered specifically for his great work as a catechist, and he is held in such high esteem acoss Indigenous tribes of all sorts and even New Age-y types that I have this gut feeling again that if he is declared a saint there will be a massive influx of new Catholics brought in by his prayers for us all in Heaven.

Jason R. said...

If there is someone that God wants the Church on Earth to recognize as a saint would it not follow that they are more likely than any others to be granted miracles through their intervention? Hmmmm. I don't want to be overdramatic, but I think Black Elk's intervention brought my wife and I together, saving both of our lives in the process. Here is the link for his story, and also the prayer for his cause... I believe God is eager to grant great miracles through his cause right now, just a hunch, I don't have any spiritual gift other than the 5 unexplainable healings I received without ever asking just praying for his cause, and what I saw and experienced afterwards but I feel isn't right to discuss because it was probably just a bout of hypomanic hallucination, yet the healings are all very objective, no subjectivity in them at all.

https://vimeo.com/420363725

And the prayer:

Heavenly Father, Great Spirit!
Behold us, who stand before you
singing our song of thanksgiving for
Servant of God, Nicholas Black Elk.

Faithfully he walked the Sacred Red Road
and generously witnessed the Good News
of our Lord Jesus Christ among
the Native American people.

We humbly ask you to hear the prayers
we plead through his intercession.
We ask Holy Mother Church to recognize
his sanctity by acknowledging his presence
among the company of Saints
and as one to imitate in his zeal for the Gospel.

Open our hearts to also recognize the Risen Christ
in other cultures and peoples, to your glory and honor through Christ our Lord. Amen.

p.s. Okay, last thing, I promise!!! Sorry, when I'm stressed out the first things to go are my self-control and self of proportionality, and that may be laughable, but it is a real struggle, they're real symptoms and not so easy at all to control, so my apologies for over-indulgence and my appreciation for any patient enough to read my gobbledeegoop.

Sorry I've written so much, I've still working on that bad habit and really trying brevity, I'm just bad at it. I hope this doesn't across as "look at me, look at how special I am!!!", because I have had many supernatural type events occur to me in the last few years, but that is to my shame, not to my credit. That is me an my weak faith demanding to be able to poke my fingers through the crucifixion wounds of Our Lord. It's certainly nothing to be proud of for blessed are those who do not see and yet believe. And that isn't me, I've been a hard-core secret atheist at least 2/3rds I'd say of my adult life even while outwardly a devout Catholic, I forget the miracles I've seen again and again e.g. waking from a vision on a sacred hill that was blanketed in crocus flowers overnight, I beat the mystery right out of that miracle when I finally found a professor at the U of Colorado that explained the concept of "superblooms", which sometimes occur on cycles measured in hundreds of years... perhaps that is why this hill is thought of as sacred to begin with, a superbloom long ago?

Yet for it to happen on the most holy day of the Lakota calendar, new year's day, when grandpa Sun comes back to bring new life to grandma Earth, and on a hill that when I climbed that hill it was treacherously covered in snow and ice still, then the worst & last blizzard of the season, 2nd day freezing rain, then the vision/hallucination/projection of my subconscious, whatever it was I'm deciding if I understand the why of something maybe the how does not matter anyways? But 3rd day the temp rocketed up to +23C, and crocuses sooo thick everywhere, and the scent is what I now dream of what a Heaven would smell of, so thick I couldn't scale down that hill without squishing some of these miracle-flowers, and I won't share the hallucination, but the flowers seems an outward sign of an inner transformation that was the *real* miracle, my heart, my metaphorical heart healing. Yet I deconstructed it all to a very rare and unlikely but perfectly natural phenomenon.

So, I just want to be clear, I don't think I'm special other than being a pathetically weak of faith perpetual doubting Thomas who God puts on such a spectacular show of things just to keep me from ending up in Hell, and that isn't anything to be proud of at all. And with that I'm off for my 40 day pilgrimage so I guess I can get away with writing too much with that in mind. God bless you all, Our Lady keep Ukraine as in Pope St. JPII's prayer in Kyiv in 2001, and this world away from the brink of a new holocaust.

Ahh thank you Tom for the direction, I'm ordering that book now!! I'll check out that other one, and thank you for sharing that you have bipolar affective disorder like I, my late wife, and my new wife have, too!! The depression is the real problem for me, or at least it was. I got this special, I hesitate to call it baptism because we only can get baptized once, right? But a special blessing last year and I of course am still on all my meds but this is the second winter (my moods are seasonally related, too) in a row without a major depressive episode for the first time since I was 16, and I give credit to praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy totally!

And, wow, I don't know if any of y'all are feeling stunned, but on the Feast of the Annunciation, FINALLY, the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady at urgent request by Ukraine's Bishops Conference, no qualifies, no "people of Russia", etc., nothing but the consecration of Russia (and Ukraine as well) exactly, finally as requested in 1917 by Our Lady.

So, I am rusty, I didn't think this would happen in my muddled old timeline in my muddled old head until the Great Monarch and the Angelic Shepherd were on the scene and the Islamic Horde was fighting to take over Western Europe with Russia and a treacherous Germany switching sides... or could the consecration's effect be time delayed and with Syrian troops being shipped in by the tens of thousands by Putin right now is it inconceivable that their other big Shia ally in the Middle East, Iran, offer *hundreds* of thousands of troops? Or have all our rosaries prayed actually may be have made the whole Great Monarch timeline (sorry to use comic-book terminology, but as easy shorthand) one that we'll never see because Our Lady of Fatimà's request was heeded rather than ignored earlier than it might have been?

In any case this seems like very big news, and I can hardly wait for the 25th, also my b-day, and talk about the the b-day present of a *lifetime*!!!

Jason R. said...

Thank you Tom, I will definitely check it out when I get home, for now Iyéya and I feel a put to pray the rosary especially. I'm in shock that on Feb. 26, six days after we got married and 2 days into our pilgrimage when Mariupol was attacked and she asked me, "Does that mean city of Mary", and I said yes, she said Putin just lost his war, and I was like, no this city is in deep trouble, they are going to starve them, and make them die of thirst, and even the best people turn into animals when they children are starving, my dad's family lived through that in that *EXACT* area after the Second World War, and she said, the more the make a city entrusted by its very name to Our Lady suffer the more she will reflect that back upon them. Then the daycare was hit, and the maternity hospital (and that daycare, it was called what my Oma Katherina who was born in Lemberg (Lviv) called me as little boy, her sonechko (sunbeam) so it made me just weep when I saw them carrying the bodies of infants.

I was mocking of all the Putin supporters here 8 years ago, calling him St. Putin, but I guess his true colours cannot be arguing with now, no man of God directs mortar attacks against a maternity hospital or attacks negotiated safe passage routes out of a city with no water with children dying first of thirst, would they? But in any case, when I just was so angry with nowhere to put it seeing those dead babies, it was live, no propaganda b.s. of imagined crisis actors and other ridiculous claims, these are war crimes, in fact every Russian soldier could under international law be dispatched with a bullet to the back of their heads as Russia has yet to make a declaration of war, so they are illegal combatants, so spies, saboteurs, terrorists, anything but soldiers, and they are afforded no protections whatsoever under any of the Geneva Conventions.

But miracles are happening! The Russian soldiers moving up from the Crimean peninsula toward Odesa, when they saw their own warships firing ahead of them they realized they aren't liberators at all, they have mutinied en masse, refusing to kill their Slavic brothers and sisters, in or out of uniform, no matter. This is why I suspect Putin may tap Hezbollah from Lebanon and every more frightening the Revolutionary Guard of Iran, and if that happens we are smack dab in the Great Monarch scenarios of an actual Shia invasion of Europe, that would be no stretch of any imagination or terminology, that's what it would be, that's what the massive influx of Chechans north of Kyiv is right now, they're all Muslim, and I'm not casting aspersions, my ex-bro-in-law from Mountmellick, Ireland who I was besties with in Sunni Muslim, my roommate from uni was Iranian, I'm just saying how it fits with, say, Marie-Julie Jahenny's prophecies of what I can recall anyways.

Things suddenly seem to be falling into place in a lot of areas, and the Consecration especially, I can hardly believe it, and when that hospital was hit and Iyéya comforted me, saying, "Russia has just messed with the Wrong Children in the Wrong City of ENTIRELY the Wrong Mother, there will be a reckoning for this like Putin and all his ex-KGB cronies that the oligarchs are only cutouts for like you can't imagine Napayshni [that's just my other name], don't worry, Our Lady won't let this go unanswered, this will make The Miracle of the Vistula in 1929 look like nothing in comparison" I thought she was just trying to make me feel better, but she was so right now, I think Papa Francis answering YES without hesitation to the Ukrainian Bishops request is a direct result.

Does anyone remember Fr. Malachi Martin when asked about whether the full and undiluted, unadulterated Consecration of Russia would ever take place, he coyly said in one of his very last interviews, "Watch Ukraine", that's all. Well Father Martin, hopefully in front of and worshiping the full beatific vision, please Lord, we are watching Martin, we are watching!! And it came to me now, that Emmett wrote (sorry Emmett if you are reading and I am mucking it all up!!!) when I asked kind of where we are at on the eschatological timeline roughly that up next basically is the Second Pentecost, and I think that has with the Charismatic movement already begun, it just take a while maybe, but perhaps the Consecration which ideally I'd think would mean Russia converting to Catholicism en masse would definition make the Holy Spirit just EXPLODE upon the world with the Great Schism finally healed, no?

I don't want to pester you Emmett, especially since I have no specific questions even, but if you have any thoughts on the Consecration, I know many people said Pope Saint JPII's final one was in essence "it" though it certainly wasn't just simply what Our Lady asked for, and it infuriated me in a way why they thought the human efforts of Vatican diplomats toward ecumenicalism could ever do better than what Our Lady herself simply asked for, the arrogance in that, it reminded me of what I would rage against this injustice or that as a younger man and half-scoff when my mom would tell me, Jason, the most you can ever accomplish with two hands is to have them folded in prayer, I was like Judas, trusting in my own actions more than my prayers being so close to Our Creator's ear, right?

2. /2.

p.s. Thank you so much for everyone that is reading being so nice to me. I know I'm a weirdo and I write too much, that has been made abundantly clear to me here and other places, so it means a lot that folks give me some leeway with my neural divergent brain!

In answer to your earlier question about the alleged Marian apparitions in Hrushiv, Ukraine, I wrote a blog post about this subject around 10 years ago:

https://unveilingtheapocalypse.blogspot.com/2012/01/wormwood-chernobyl-and-hrushiv.html

Emmett O'Regan said...

I don't think it is coincidence that these apparitions at Hrushiv first occurred two weeks before the outbreak of WWI, and are linked to the Wormwood star of Revelation. These apparitions, together with the Tunguska event, marks the opening of the Abyss at the start of the period of Satan's greater power. Now we have these events towards the end of the period of Satan's greater power similarly associated with events in the Ukraine. Also note that the passages concerning the trumpets of Revelation concerning the "great mountain, burning with fire being thrown into the sea" is closely connected with the appearance of the Wormwood star:

"The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water — the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter. (Rev 8:8-10)

I don't think it is coincidence that Russia would choose to invade Ukraine almost immediately after an eruption of Cumbre Vieja at the end of this period marked by the appearance of the Wormwood star.

Hey Jason! It’s always good to see you on here! And happy early birthday! That’s amazing it’s the same day as the consecration!
I just wanted to chime in and say that my understanding of the “timeline” is the exact same as yours. We are on the cusp of the Second Pentecost/ healing of the Great Schism.

Emmett, I hope things are going smoothly with your PhD! I’m sure I speak for all when I say I hope you continue to pop in on the blog letting us know your thoughts. Your perspective is invaluable - especially now!

Hi guys! Wow! Who else is still on cloud 9 after the consecration yesterday?!?! Keep your rosaries going!!

Ok, so I’m commenting now because I had a thought this morning that I wanted to share. Emmett, I hope you get a chance to read this and reply because I’ll need you to fine tune this for me…or at least tell me I’m completely off base.

Im sure some of you are aware that there was a last ditch effort to throw cold water on the consecration and spread rumors about the reference to Mary as the Land of Heaven (or Earth of Heaven).

THANKFULLY, Kevon Symonds wrote a great article educating everyone about some forgotten Marian theology that is foreign to the English speaking world. Check out the article here… https://kevinsymonds.com/

Now back to my point - for years now on this blog we’ve discussed the flood sent forth from the dragon’s mouth threatening to sweep the Church away… only for it to be swallowed up by “the earth.”

“Then from his mouth the serpent(AL) spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16 But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.”

I have always been so intrigued and confused by what was meant by “the earth.”

Could it actually be a reference to Mary?! Could the consecration yesterday be what swallows up the flood threatening to sweep then Church away??

PasserBy said...

The 'flood' could be a timing indicator rather than one of an actual physical activity.

The Age of Pisces started 1AD and is used to symbolize Christ - the Fish.

The Age of Aquarius - depicted as a man pouring water from an urn.
Jesus Himself refers to this in Mark 14 -

7Then came the day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb was to be sacrificed. 8Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare for us to eat the Passover.”

9“Where do You want us to prepare it?” they asked.

10He answered, “When you enter the city, a man carrying a jug of water will meet you. Follow him to the house he enters, 11and say to the owner of that house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’ 12And he will show you a large upper room, already furnished. Make preparations there.”

The flood then, likely indicates or co-indicates the timing of these events.

Hello Bridget

I visited Kevin Symons site and read the article about what the “conversion” of Russia means.
It’s very interesting, he believes it means Russia converting back to Orthodoxy from communism, not Russia becoming Catholic.

On this reading John Paul 11’s consecration in 1984 with Catholic Bishops which was approved by Sister Lucia was successful and responsible for the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, and started Russia on the path she is on, which is as an Orthodox country with a political class which supports the Orthodox church and its values.

This would make the short period of peace after the Fall of the Berlin Wall until sometime in the 2000’s we may still be in the period of peace as there has been no major war. All the conflicts including Iraq, Yugoslavia, Syria are mostly either proxy wars or police actions of one vastly superior force against a lesser force. In comparison the two world wars were utterly catastrophic in destruction and loss of life.

Just as the conversion of Russia was a return to Orthodoxy the end of the period of peace may be a return to a catastrophic world war 111.

Interestingly the first World Youth Day was 1986. Is this the spreading of the gospel around the world? Did JP!1 know they were in the period of peace?

BOARD THE PAPAL PLANE (AP) — Pope Francis said Sunday he was still working on arranging a meeting with the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, despite that leader’s seeming justification for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and said he wouldn’t rule out travelling to the region if it would help.

https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-putin-pope-francis-europe-malta-a018bdb1b81c4cdd1abeaa02d7e2b01e

Albrecht Weber quotes Conchita of Garabandal saying, “The Pope will go to Russia, to Moscow. As soon as he returns to the Vatican, hostilities will break out in different parts of Europe.”

Bridget said...

So would you consider this prophecy fulfilled if Pope Francis visits Ukraine (instead of Moscow)? I’m not very familiar with Garabandal and have only been reading about it recently.

Tom Collick said...

The prophecy states “The Pope will go to Russia, to Moscow. As soon as he returns to the Vatican, the hostilities which will immediately precede the Warning, will break out in different parts of Europe.”
I would not think Ukraine fits this.

samuelj said...

would the pope attempt to fulfill this prophecy, go to moscow and then putin will invade countries, Europe ? Very convenient isn't it? Why would putin wait till then? So NATO will be alerted , on standby, till the pope goes to russia for the russian war machine to go to work? I have my doubts. Too convenient!

Samuelj, How many politicians listen to prophecy? Not many and I doubt the pope is also. He is responding tot he times and moving how he thinks he should according to love.

I find the arguments presented by Dr Ed Mazz in this interview with Joh Henry Westin of Lifesitenews convincing. If you still believe that it is a sin to even consider the evidence that Jorge Bergoglio is an antipope, I think you might possibly not be trusting that God will not condemn us for using our intellects that He gave us. I think that underneath this fear of even considering the evidence might be a lack of trust in God's love of us. But, the Lord says 365 times in the Bible, do not be afraid; trust in Me and My Mercy. He does not condemn those honestly seeking the Truth for He is the Truth.

Tom Collick said...

IF a pope is validly elected he cannot err in matters of Faith and Morals. It is sad that Pope Francis has stumbled, but this is also shown as foreknowledge in the 3rd secret of Fatima where the pope stumbles and the RECOVERS. Pope Francis will recover and lead the church until his martyrdom at the hands of the Antichrist's forces. We do not need to condem the pope, we need to pray for him. It is through the prayers for him that he will recover. Condemntaion helps no one, especially the person who condems as it is a judgement and Jesus has stated that with whatever measure you judge will you be judged. Let us live in charity and leave judging to Jesus.

Heres something for all you thinkers out there (and you too Laramie ;) )

What if the Pope has *already* gone to Moscow?

Bridget said...

Hmmmm. Yeah, personally, I think that’s a very real possibility. Especially since the line says the Pope returns to the Vatican…as opposed to Rome.

I also have a question and was curious what everyone else thought. So what are all the parallels with the King of France who consecrated himself and France too late and the Pope who consecrates Russia too late? (JP2 and now Pope Francis as well)
Since Louis XVI was eventually executed, does this set up Pope Francis to be eventually executed as well? Another tie to him being the Martyr Pope of Fatima?

Tom Collick said...

Pope Francis and Pope emetrius Benedict will both be martyred. Benedict before Francis. Francis is the pope who will be running to escape over the bodies of priests, bishops, and cardinals when the AntiChrist makes his move to usurp the Position of Pope in the Catholic Church.

samuelj said...

it was Frere Michel's opinion that the consecration wouldn't occur until the Third secret was revealed, that Our Lady was 'insulted' that the third secret wasn't revealed in or by 1960 and because of this the consecration would not transpire until reparations for the popes disobedience to Her are done, which is the revelation of the Secret. And that wouldn't happen except during the course of a major war.

From : The Apocalypse of St. John by Rev. E. Sylvester Berry imprimatur 1921

https://archive.org/details/theapocalypseofs00berruoft/page/190/mode/2up

>>>After the defeat of Antichrist the Gentile nations will return to the Church and the Jews will enter her fold. Then shall be fulfilled the words of Christ: "There shall be one fold and one shepherd."; Unfortunately sin and evil will not have entirely disappeared, the good and the bad will still be mingled in the Church, although the good shall predominate. After many centuries, symbolized by a thousand years, faith will diminish and charity grow cold as a result of the long peace and security enjoyed by the Church. Then Satan, unchained for a short time, will seduce many nations (Gog and Magog) to make war on the Church and persecute the faithful. These apostate nations shall be promptly overwhelmed with a deluge of fire and the Church will come forth again triumphant. The general judgment and the end of the world will then be near at hand. Men will be living in daily expectation until our Lord appears in the clouds with the suddenness of a lightning flash/ Then shall all people be gathered together unto judgment.
The establishment of the Church over all nations is foretold on almost every page of Holy Scripture. He shall rule from sea to sea and from the river unto the ends of the earth. . . . And all kings of the earth shall adore him; and all nations shall serve him “ All the nations thou has made shall come and adore before thee, O Lord” ; His empire shall be multiplied and there shall be no end of peace” “His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all kings shall serve him and obey him” ; "He shall speak peace to the Gentiles, and his power shall be from sea to sea, and from the rivers even to the ends of the earth

The sixth period of the Church will begin with the powerful Monarch and the holy Pontiff . . . and it will last until the revelation of Antichrist. In this period, God will console His Holy Church for the affliction and great tribulation she has endured during the fifth period. All nations will become Catholic. Vocations will be abundant as never before, and all men will seek only the Kingdom of God and His justice. Men will live in peace, and this will be granted because people will make their peace with God. They will live under the protection of the Great Monarch and his successors.

All nations will come to worship God in the true Catholic and Roman faith. There will be many Saints and Doctors on earth. Peace will reign over the whole earth because God will bind Satan for a number of years until the days of the Son of Perdition. No one will be able to pervert the Word of God since, during the sixth period, there will be an Ecumenical Council which will be the greatest of all councils. By the grace of God, by the power of the Great Monarch, by the authority of the Holy Pontiff, and by the union of all the most devout princes, atheism and every heresy will be banished from the earth. The Council will define the true sense of Holy Scripture, and this will be believed and accepted by everyone"

Holhauser suggest this period , this great ecumenical council would last a lot longer than the 25-30 years spoken of by Emmett, doesn't it?

Transcript towards the end of video: "in the message of fatima in may of 1917 our lady told the children to come five more times she appeared of course in may june july august september and october that was six times altogether but in may her first appearance she had said i will come again a seventh time father lewis objected and said
i don't think she said that and lucy said oh yes yes our lady did say that i
continued doubt what did our lady mean has she already come the seventh time
or is she yet to come because in my mind there has always been the thought that maybe if our lady is going to convert russia she will come the way she came the last time at fatima perhaps there will be a great manifestation there of the power of god and the influence of our lady and i thought well maybe that is the seventh coming
lucy was smiling but she said nothing that was another question she wouldn't
answer but i think the fact that she wouldn't answer it led me to believe
that OUR LADY HAS NOT COME THE SEVENTH TIME i asked father lewis how it affected him
and it affected him the same way he said he interpreted that to mean the same as i did
that our lady has not yet come the seventh time the seventh coming
will we suppose be an official coming something that will be connected in some
way with the worldwide message of fatima at least that's a good thing to think
about maybe in our day we will have a manifestation of our lady's power and motherly concern a seventh coming in fulfillment of her promise and perhaps if we all continue our work promoting the five conditions of the fatima message
we in our day will see that other promise fulfilled
the conversion of russia and peace in our world"

Good find Bridget! And when I saw Emmett's comment that it happened on the feast day for our Lady of La Salette that really perked up my ears. With so much chaos in different parts of the world, war and rumours of war for sure, plague, possible famine on the near horizon, etc., it can be easy for me to miss "smaller" signs such as this, thank you very much for sharing.

With everything going on in Ukraine I've been considering the Great Monarch again, specifically related to blood-lines. I think rather than from the family of Blessed Karl of Austro-Hungary a family that fits much more is that if the noble family of Liechtenstein.

Besides being the most uver-Catholic nation left in Europe the heir to the throne of that country going by Jacobite Succession that the Church recognized for quite awhile after the royal family in Great Britain changed, and is the first pretender to the throne that was born in the UK since wayyy back when.

Beyond that he would have a good claim as Holy Roman Emperor (German) if it existed, and as pretender to the throne of Engkand would also have the best claim as heir to the throne of France as well, all of Charlemamge's former empire basically with the UK added on.

And being the sovereign of Lichtenstein would seem to fit with the Great Monarch coming from an unexpected place though by right of succession they are heir to the thrones of most of Western, Central and parts of Eastern Europe.

I've never seen anyone guess at this particular royal house before, but to me it seems to be s good fit, and I haven't played, "Guess The GM's Identity" for at least a year or two, so there I went, haha. I'd be very interested as par ususl in anyone's thoughts on this who may be familiar with the identifiers of the GM than I do.

Walk tall today my online brothers and sisters.

Tom Collick said...

The GM is prophecised as a French Army officer whose forces are led by God to throw back the Russian forces after they cross into France from Germany. He is a decendant of Happrburgs and Saint Lewis, the french king. There is specific prophecies about this person.

Jason R. said...

I'm curious what your source(s) are that say he will be a descendent of Blessed Karl of Austro-Hungary? I've never come across anything that says the GM will be a Hapsburg. On the contrary, over and over across the centuries many saints & blesseds have written that he will be heir to the French throne, King of the Franks (and that includes all of Charlemagne's former empire of which France was about 1/3 of it).

And, again, that points to the heir to the throne of Liechtenstein as he is the Jacobite pretender, a line the Church supported whole-heartedly, which makes him the legitimate heir to the thrones of Ireland, Scotland, England, and France if it wasn't for the Act of Settlement, and on the other side of his parentage the best contender if the Holy Roman Empire is ever reformed from the German states (and the GM will also, as you know, be the Emperor of a reformed Holy Roman Empire).

Now, the Hapsburg heir doesn't have the benefit of being the de facto king of France now, do they, lol? You reference Saint Lewis (sic), well, Prince Max, Duke in Bavaria, the heir to the House of Wittelsbach (the royal house of Bavaria) as well as Liechtenstein (which has always been the German royal house most obedient and helping to the Church as an aside) *is* the "scion of French Kings", just exactly as predicted, so I'm not such what your point is about Saint Louis?

As far as being a French Army officer, that isn't something that happens at birth, any member of the Wittalbachs could join the French armed forces at any time, so, again, how is this a counterpoint in any way? Prince Joseph Wenzel of Liechtenstein, heir to the thrones of the British Isles, France, Bavaria and Lichtenstein, the biggest chunk of the Carolingian Empire yet embodied in one personage since Charlemagne himself (or any of his descendants) could join the French Army at any time, this isn't really much of a hurdle to jump over, but still, I've never come across any reference to the GM being a French Army officer, so I'd be interested in your source on that as well.

So other than the Hapsburg requirement, and I know many speculate that the GM will be a Hapsburg, but it's something I've yet to come across, so I'll await your reply anxiously as to what saint, blessed, bishop, etc., made this Hapsburg prophecy even though they don't fit in with being the scions and heirs of French kings in any way, shape, or form under any dynastic succession schemes.
