New World Order?

It is extremely tempting to assume that the letters www were deliberately engineered to echo the number of beast at the behest of some shadowy Luciferian sect such as the Freemasons or the fabled Illuminati.  Freemasons, along with their fore bearers the Rosicrucians, were keen advocates of the Kabbalah, and often used Hebrew in their symbology.  The Hebrew atbash cipher was known to have been used by the Knights Templar - one of the many groups with esoteric leanings that would later coalesce into Freemasonry in the 16th and 17th centuries.  The atbash was also employed in Freemasonry, among other codes such as the pigpen cipher.  So it would not be beyond the means of such groups to incorporate such symbology into a system they could foresee as eventually replacing money.
While I have put a considerable amount of research into this possibility, and briefly touch upon the subject in the book, for a number of reasons decided to limit discussion into this topic.  This was primarily because it jarred thematically with the rest of the material (it is a book about Catholic prophecy rather than conspiracy theories), but also because of the lack of a "smoking gun".  So I'll go into this aspect in a little more detail in this blog.  It is a well known fact that the term www was coined by Sir Tim Berners Lee as a acronym for the world wide web, and unless we are to become witch-finder generals and out him as a "Grand Wizard" of the Illuminati without a shred of evidence, then we should be willing to accept that the equation of www with 666 is down to coincidence (unless we go even further down the conspiratorial bent and suggest he was influenced by MK ultra or HAARP satellites - I'm kidding by the way!).  While Freemasonry and its more elite offshoots such as the, Bohemian club etc. undoubtedly incorporate Luciferian motifs into their symbols and rituals, it is unnecessary to posit that they alone are ultimately responsible.  Satan is more than capable of bringing this prophecy into effect through his own even greater influences - and speaking from a spiritual viewpoint, it is unseen forces such as this that ultimately lie behind phenomena that people often put down to coincidence.
That being said, I saw this creepy ad last year, and although the makers are obviously courting controversy for the reasons of publicity and mnemonics they are probably closer to the truth than they realise:

And we still have to consider that the words of Fr Gobbi do seem to suggest that Freemasonry would have some hand in the implementation of the prophecy of the mark of the Beast.  So, who knows?  The jury's still out on this one...
