Unveiling the Apocalypse: The Final Passover of the Church

After undergoing several years of refinement, the new edition of my book is now finally available in paperback form here, on Kindle here, and on Amazon UK here. This update of my previous work is much more than an ordinary second edition, and is now over double the word count of the original book. I had originally intended to write a sequel to the original, but given the fact that I had made some important new discoveries that confirmed several of the hypotheses that I had covered there, it soon became clear that I would have to compose a greatly expanded version of the original book in order to maintain an overall sense of cohesiveness. I have already covered some of the most important of these discoveries here on this blog (such the equation of the unbinding of Satan in the Apocalypse with the vision of Pope Leo XIII, and the implications of the publication of Sr. Lucia's 1944 Tuy apparition for my Cumbre Vieja mega-tsunami/eschatological earthquake hypothesis). But as well as incorporating the most important up-to-date information, this new edition also includes a wealth of other new, solidly grounded evidence which bolsters the original material to a significant degree.
For now, this book will have to depend on word of mouth, so I hope that readers of this blog will offer their prayers and support, recommending it to any friends that may be interested.
Over the next few weeks and months, I will be covering some of the many new discoveries made in this new edition of Unveiling the Apocalypse in future blog posts. So stay tuned. The material below is taken from the product description on Amazon's webpage:

Towards the end of the 19th century, Pope Leo XIII experienced a prophetic vision which foretold that Satan would soon be granted a period of greater power. A period which encompassed the horrors of the 20th century and subsequent decline of the influence of the Church. This book amasses a wealth of evidence from Scripture and Church approved private revelations to show how this vision can be equated with the short time given to Satan described in the Apocalypse. With the upcoming celebration of the centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima in 2017, many Catholics believe that the time of Satan's greater power will now draw to a close. But what exactly happens to the Church at the end of this period of chaos? The author attempts to demonstrate that this is the fulfilment of the victory of the Archangel Michael over the Devil during the War in Heaven described in Rev 12, when the Dragon is thrown down to earth in great fury. An event which will allow for the restoration of the Church by the Two Witnesses before the rise to power of the Antichrist and the onslaught of the Great Chastisement.
When St. Augustine of Hippo originally advance his deeply influential amillennial interpretation of the Apocalypse, he originally proposed that the unbinding of Satan would occur at the end of the "Sabbath Millennium" discussed by the Early Church Fathers. According to the biblical chronology established by St. Bede the Venerable in the 8th century AD, the end of the Sabbath Millennium occurs in the exact timeframe as the prophecy of Pope Leo XIII concerning the period of Satan's greater power. This insight has radical implications for the interpretation of the Apocalypse, and effectively means that we are currently living during the unbinding of Satan at the end of the Millennium described in Rev 20. It prompts us to develop an entirely new approach to the chronology of the Book of Revelation, in what can only be described as "past-millennialism". This period of history was dreaded by St. Augustine himself, since he knew that Satan would be able to severely inhibit the spread of the Gospel:
"If he [the devil] were during so long a period [i.e., from the coming of Christ to the period just before the end of the world] permitted to assail the weakness of men, very many persons, such as God would not wish to expose to such temptation, would have their faith overthrown, or would be prevented from believing; and that this might not happen, he is bound...
And [God] binds [the devil] that he may not, in the free and eager exercise of his malice, hinder or destroy the faith of those countless weak persons, already believing or yet to believe, from whom the Church must be increased and completed; and he will in the end loose him, that the city of God may see how mighty an adversary it has conquered, to the great glory of its Redeemer, Helper, Deliverer. And what are we in comparison with those believers and saints who shall then exist, seeing that they shall be tested by the loosing of an enemy with whom we make war at the greatest peril even when he is bound."
(St. Augustine of Hippo, City of God Chap 20:8-9).
On the approach of the centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima in 2017, it would appear that we are now nearing the end of this period of the unbinding of Satan, when the power of the Devil will once again be restricted to allow for the restoration which must take place before the persecution of the Antichrist foreseen in the Third Secret: "the Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection" (Catechism of the Catholic Church para 677)

Ordered, should be here Monday. Please post an update when the ebook versions are ready. They are my primary form of reading media these days, and much easier to use when reading for an audiobook (hint hint, lol).

Thanks, Emmett!

Mine is ordered as well.

Emmett,
Ordered your book. Will arrive by Friday. Again, what are your educated predictions for the Centennial of Fatima?

Good Lord, Emmett! It's the size of the Catechism!

Emmett O'Regan said...

Tell me about it Cetera! It might take you a while to get through it. It's as big as I could possibly make it apparently. The page limit for their printing process is 828 pages, and it reaches 826. I had to take out the index just to get it down to the necessary length for publication.

Thanks Jimmy! I would use the word "educated guess" rather than prediction though. I don't want to give anyone the impression that I'm some form of prophet. According to a logical interpretation of the earliest reliable version of the prophecy of Pope Leo XIII, the absolute upper limit for the period of Satan's greater power/unbinding of the Devil is 120 years (2 x 60 years), following the formula given in the Book of Job, where Satan makes two separate attempts to overthrow the prophet's faith. I attempt to show how the opening of the abyss/seven seals of Revelation was marked at the turn of the 20th century/end of the Sabbath Millennium by an alignment of the seven classical planets, Pope Leo's consecration of the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Tunguska event, and the appearance of the "apocalyptic locusts", (besides many other events) which caused the release of the four angels bound at the Euphrates/horsemen of the Apocalypse. So the end of this 120 year period occurs around the centenary of Fatima. Sorry, have no time. Will have to continue later when I'm finished work...

I did notice that the actual narrative of the book ends on page 777. Coincidence?

I had a question only tangentially related to the book. Recently I've started having a discussion with my Uncle about Revelations. He's a fundy Baptist believing in a pre-trib rapture and a literal 1k year reign on earth, from Jerusalem, by Christ.

Anyway, I've been reading a bunch trying to learn enough to discuss, and found some info I wanted your opinion on. There was a gentleman somewhere who agrees that the book of Revelations is like a spiral, but that the 7 seals were in chronological order, and the 7 trumpets were in chronological order, and the 7 bowls were in chronological order. I don't remember you specifically addressing that on this site or in your previous book. Do you have any insight into that?

I find the most noteworthy aspect to be its weight. It's MASSIVE!!!

Could you post the book's index on your site so we could use it because the book is so large? Posting the index would be very helpful.
Thanks

That was a strange coincidence Cetera. I didn't notice that myself.
Those who adhere to the amillennial model of the Apocalypse (i.e. the vast majority of Christians, including Catholics, Anglicans, Lutherans, etc.) tend to accept that there is very little chronological order in the Apocalypse, and that it is arranged thematically rather than chronologically. The bowls and trumpets recapitulate the seals, and are largely based on the plagues of Egypt, so there is very little chronological order in their sequence. This is key to understanding the Apocalypse as a whole, and what makes the subject of the Millennium of such importance between different Christian sects.
I will get around to doing that Susan.

WOW! You've *really* expanded the work. Great job!

I just got my book in the mail yesterday, and just in time, too. I had an electronic copy on my 1st generation Nook. But, the Nook finally gave up the ghost. And B&N don't fix them anymore. So, I lost the first edition (plus, many more).

Anyway, I can't wait to read the new material. Keep up the good work!

Emmett O'Regan said...

Thanks Nicholas! It's good to know that the amount of effort I have put into this new edition is appreciated. As I'm sure you can see for yourself, this is much more than a normal second edition.

A bit behind the curve, I know, but I just ordered the print edition and will likely get the ebook as soon as I blow through the Kindle preview. I also shared this announcement on FB with the following endorsement, fwiw: "I read the first edition of this book last year, have been following O'Regan's blog of the same name, and highly recommend them as a balanced collation of Scripture, Tradition, and public and approved private revelations regarding the End Times, all considered within the Magisterial Authority of Holy Mother Church. I will be reading this expanded second edition forthwith. As of today it is also available in Kindle format."

Emmett O'Regan said...

Thanks Kent! That is greatly appreciated! I could do with a few more endorsements from professors!

I went to Amazon.com to buy your book today but it says it's unavailable (the print edition). Is this a temporary glitch? And will you have copies available on the amazon.ca site soon? Thanks :)

Emmett O'Regan said...

I had to temporarily take it down to fix some small typos TC. It takes a couple of hours for it to appear again. I'm not too sure the way it works with Amazon.ca. I remember when I published the first edition it took a few weeks to appear on the UK website.

TC said...

Good news, I waited a couple days and voila! the book is now available on amazon.ca and is now enroute to my mailbox, can't wait to read it :)

Do you discuss the possibility that we have been in the millennial reign of Jesus since his Resurrection, and the relevant part of Revelations for us at present is Rev 20:3 ('after that he will be released for a while' (referring to the devil)? If that is the case we can expect no particular signs except the gathering for war (Gog and Magog etc Rev 20:7-10).

Emmett O'Regan said...

Yes anon. The major thrust of my book is that we are currently living during the period of the unbinding of Satan at the end of the "thousand years" (i.e. the Sabbath Millennium discussed by the Church Fathers). St. Augustine believed that there would be another binding of Satan after the period during which he was unleashed, and this would correspond with the renewal of the Church by the Two Witnesses before the rise to power of the Antichrist. So we have this hope, which will take place before the Battle of Armageddon.

Emmett, Thanks for responding to anon.

Hello Emmett! I've been a silent reader of your blog for several months now, but I just finished reading your new book! Incredible. Thank you so much for your hard work!

I hope I'm not opening a can of worms here, but how do you see Donald Trump's presidency fitting into all of this? Pulling from your book, I know right now we're waiting for the dissipation of the flood issued from the mouth of the Dragon, leading to the restoration of the Church. But in America, it's so hard to see the forest for the trees right now and anticipate any era of peace coming our way given the sheer amount of division, fear and hysteria present. Trump clearly has a divine purpose, but I've seen him mentioned in the same breath as Hitler, Nero, King Cyrus and even the Great Monarch! It's so confusing!

Thank you so much for your input!

Thanks Bridget! Not too sure what to make of Trump tbh...

If he enthrones Christ as king of America though, I'm sure he can spare us from a chastisement.
