Obama: Psalm 46 and the 10th Anniversary of 9/11

I just discovered that President Obama picked an interesting Bible reading for the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks last year: Pslam 46 - one of the passages which I highlight in the post The Casting Down of Mountains as a prophecy of the effects of the future collapse of the volcano Cumbre Vieja, and subsequent Mega-tsunami that will destroy the east coast of the Americas.

It should be worth quoting the full Pslam below:

 God is our refuge and strength,
  a very present help in trouble.
 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
  though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
 though its waters roar and foam,
  though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah
 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
  the holy habitation of the Most High.
 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved;
  God will help her when morning dawns.
 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter;
  he utters his voice, the earth melts.
 The LORD of hosts is with us;
  the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
 Come, behold the works of the LORD,
  how he has brought desolations on the earth.
 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
  he breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
  he burns the chariots with fire.
 “Be still, and know that I am God.
  I will be exalted among the nations,
  I will be exalted in the earth!”

 The LORD of hosts is with us;
  the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

(Psalm 46)

Note here that the important phrase "the nations rage" - which is an allusion to some other highly significant biblical passages that are directly related to the battle of Armageddon. This apocalyptic phrase first crops up in Psalm 2, which speaks of the eschatological battle in terms that appear again in the Book of Revelation:

 Why do the nations rage
  and the peoples plot in vain?
 The kings of the earth set themselves,
  and the rulers take counsel together,
  against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,
 “Let us burst their bonds apart
  and cast away their cords from us.”
 He who sits in the heavens laughs;
  the Lord holds them in derision.
 Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
  and terrify them in his fury, saying,
 “As for me, I have set my King
  on Zion, my holy hill.”
 I will tell of the decree:
 The LORD said to me, “You are my Son;
  today I have begotten you.
 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
  and the ends of the earth your possession.
 You shall break them with a rod of iron
  and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.”
 Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
  be warned, O rulers of the earth.
 Serve the LORD with fear,
  and rejoice with trembling.
 Kiss the Son,
  lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
  for his wrath is quickly kindled.
 Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
(Psalm 2)

 "The nations raged,
  but your wrath came,
  and the time for the dead to be judged,
 and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints,
  and those who fear your name,
  both small and great,
 and for destroying the destroyers of the earth.”
(Rev 11:18)

The above passage in Rev 11 which alludes to the raging nations in Pslams 2 and 46 is the third woe of the Book of Revelation, at the sounding of the seventh trumpet - which I suggest in Unveiling the Apocalypse refers to a third world war. It takes place after the martyrdom of the Two Witnesses, and should be considered to be the "fire from heaven" (symbolically poured forth from their mouths, just as Elijah called down fire from heaven to destroy his opponents) which is promised in reprisal to any harm that would come against them - as is warned in the Apocalypse:

These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. And if anyone would harm them, fire pours from their mouth and consumes their foes. If anyone would harm them, this is how he is doomed to be killed.
(Rev 11:4-5)

Zerubbabel and Joshua the high priest in the Book of Zechariah are recognised to be the symbolic prototypes of the Two Witnesses of the Book of Revelation. And in the exact section that we find the reference to the "two olive trees" that stand before the Lord of all the earth in Zech 4, we are told that a mountain is made to collapse before Zerubbabel, who represents one of the Two Witnesses:

And the angel who talked with me came again and woke me, like a man who is awakened out of his sleep. And he said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl on the top of it, and seven lamps on it, with seven lips on each of the lamps that are on the top of it. And there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.” And I said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?” Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.” Then he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”
(Zech 4:1-7)

The very last verse in this passage helps us to identify the person represented by Zerubbabel here as the Elijah to come, who prepares the way for the coming of the Lord. We are told that he brings forth the "top stone" amidst shouts of praise - and in Zech 3:9 the "top stone" is identified as the Righteous Branch, the Messiah - a stone with seven eyes, just like the Lamb of Revelation, with the seven spirits of God sent out to all the earth at the Second Pentecost:

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign: behold, I will bring my servant the Branch. For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its inscription, declares the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day.
(Zech 3:8-9)

And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
(Rev 5:6)

Turning back to the third woe of the Apocalypse, which is related to the raging nations described in Psalm 46, we find another allusion to the downfall of Babylon and the collapse of the "burning mountain". The majority of scholars recognise that the phrase "for destroying the destroyers of the earth" in Rev 11:18 is a direct allusion to the destroying mountain of Babylon mentioned in Jer 51:25:

 “Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain,
 declares the LORD,
  which destroys the whole earth
;
 I will stretch out my hand against you,
  and roll you down from the crags,
  and make you a burnt mountain.

(Jeremiah 51:25)

So this parallel further strengthens the relationship between the mountains being moved "into the heart of the sea" in Psalm 46 and the burning mountain of Jer 51 and Rev 8:8, linking it to the third woe of the Apocalypse after the martyrdom of the Two Witnesses in Rev 11. And the theme of the raging of the nations in Psalm 46 and Rev 11 is continued in the eschatological battle described in Psalm 2, where the kingdoms of the world are gathered against God's Anointed One - the Messiah:

 Why do the nations rage
  and the peoples plot in vain?
 The kings of the earth set themselves,
  and the rulers take counsel together,
  against the LORD and against his Anointed...

(Psalm 2:1-2)

This is final gathering of the nations against the Anointed One, who the Psalmist tells us will speak to them in his wrath and break them with a rod of iron, is to be identified with the escahtological battle described in Rev 19, where Christ strikes his opponents down with the sword that issues from his mouth:

 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.
 Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead, “Come, gather for the great supper of God, to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great.” And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army. And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.

(Rev 19:11-21)

The sword that comes forth from the mouth of Christ is the Word of God, through which the world was created. And just as the world was created through the Word, so too will it reach its consummation. It is the command to the angel with the Flaming Sword of the Book of Genesis, to assemble the armies of the nations and send forth fire from the heavens to consume them. A scene which is first mentioned in Rev 16, before being recapitulated again in Rev 20:

And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty. (“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.
(Rev 16:13-16)

And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them...
(Rev 20:7-10)

We also find reference to this eschatological battle in the Pauline epistles:

This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering—since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
(2 Thess 1:5-8)

And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.
(2 Thess 2:8)

So by examining the significance of the various biblical allusions made in Psalm 46, we have yet again found several direct links between the Second Coming, the destruction of Babylon at casting of a burning mountain into the sea, and the battle of Armageddon. The exact sequence of events which I further elaborate on in the book, as a third world war being instigated by the Antichrist, who seizes the political vacuum left in the wake of the downfall of America following the devastating effects of the mega-tsunami caused by the collapse of Cumbre Vieja.

I'm sure Rabbi Johnathan Cahn would find the piece of synchronicity between Pres. Obama's 9/11 10th anniversary speech and the future chastisement of America worthy of note, since in his book Harbinger, he argues that the events of 9/11 were a warning of a worse disaster yet to befall the country if it does not turn from its sinful ways. As the story of Baalam in the Book of Numbers teaches us, God can put His words into the mouth of anyone He chooses. A fact which Cahn appears to pick up on in Harbinger, where he notes that certain events of post 9/11 America appears to be following the sequence of an obscure prophecy found in the Book of Isaiah. Cahn notes how the day after the attacks on the World Trade Centre, Sen. Tom Daschle quoted a passage from the Book of Isaiah, which speaks of Israel's act of defiance, describing their intent to rebuild stronger and better after the Northern Kingdom had been attacked by the Assyrians:

 The Lord has sent a word against Jacob,
  and it will fall on Israel;
 and all the people will know,
  Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria,
  who say in pride and in arrogance of heart:
 “The bricks have fallen,
  but we will build with dressed stones;
 the sycamores have been cut down,
  but we will put cedars in their place.”

(Isaiah 9:8-10)

The Israelites did not see the attacks as a harbinger of the judgment that was to fall upon the nation by the rod of Assyria, which would take place due to its state of apostasy.  Instead of turning to repentance, the Israelites arrogantly promised to rebuild. Cahn points out that this context makes Sen. Daschle's use of this quote even more strange.

Cahn goes on to note that Sen. John Edwards used the same quote on the third anniversary, and that when the foundation stone was laid for the building of Freedom Tower, it was hewn similar to the dressed gazit stone spoken of in Isaiah. Then a sycamore tree that was destroyed in the 9/11 attacks was replaced during a highly symbolic ceremony by a cedar. Also, in the Septuagint version of the Old Testament (the ancient Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible known as the LXX, which contains some variations of Scripture), the Israelites promise that they would build a tower upon the fallen rubble - just as Freedom Tower is being built right now:

The Lord has sent death upon Jacob, and it has come upon Israel. And all the people of Ephraim, and they that dwelt in Samaria shall know, who say in their pride and lofty heart, "The bricks are fallen down, but come, let us hew stones, and cut down sycamores and cedars, and let us build for ourselves a tower."
(Isa 9:8-10 LXX)

Cahn argues that just as the precursory attacks on the Northern Kingdom of Israel were a warning sent by God, telling of the nation's impending destruction by Assyria; so too the attacks on 9/11 herald a greater chastisement still to come. A chastisement that will ultimately lead to the nation's complete downfall.

 The people did not turn to him who struck them,
  nor inquire of the LORD of hosts.
 So the LORD cut off from Israel head and tail,
  palm branch and reed in one day...

(Isa 9:13-14)

In the earlier post The Two Towers and the Sixth Seal, we already discussed how the events of 9/11 appear to be intimately bound up with the future chastisement of the USA. Given that the link to Isaiah 9 was made by the leaders of America themselves in the wake of the terrible tragedy of 9/11, it seems highly significant that on the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the President of the United States unknowingly quoted a passage in the Bible that tells of the exact form the punishment will take - that mountains will be "moved into the heart of the sea", so that its waters swell, roar and foam. A passage which directly parallels the destruction of Babylon, caused by a burning mountain being thrown into the sea, as foretold in both the Book of Jeremiah and the Apocalypse.

  1. Thanks Emmett- once again brilliant detective work at connecting all those things! Might be my warped mind but I can see the humour of God by putting those words in his enemies mouths.

  2. Emmett,

    Excellent work on this blog. I noted in another post discussion of historical dates etc. One very important date was missing... Jan 22, 2013 will mark the 40th anniversary of Roe vs Wade. We have killed an entire generation...in God's mercy we must face justice.

  3. Jamey - I think one of the most humourous portions of the Bible is that of God causing Baalam's donkey to speak. It always gives me a laugh! I think the point was that if God can even make a dumb animal to speak, then His truth could certainly be made known through a so-called "prophet" who was patently false. God seems to love irony...

    Thanks anon! I have thought about the upcoming 40th anniversary of Roe vs Wade myself, especially given the significance of this number in the Bible. It makes me completly despair that this genocide continues with such little protest from the majority. As you say, the blood of these innocents surely cries from the ground for the perfect justice of the Almighty. Christ have mercy upon us all...

  4. Emmett, today Fr during his sermon mentioned the early Christians escaping to the hills as they were aware that Jerusalem was about to be destroyed so they were unharmed. I thought of this in connection to the likely forthcoming flooding of nations, but in a sense it sounds as though it will be easier on oneself (in line with the St Patrick prophecy) to be taken out by the floods given the ensuing persecution by the Antichrist culminating in the world being destroyed by fire.

    In the end may God's will be done just that he give us strength to endure what we must. I think daily readings from the Book of Martyrology will be helpful. A Jew who became a priest in the early 1900's (I didn't quite get his name along the lines of Fr Lehman) wrote a book about the antichrist and how the persecution will be worse than all other Christian persecutions combined!

    I really feel for women especially young ones who have had abortions not understanding the full implications, some of them are tormented souls. Fr Bill Casey (Fathers of Mercy) said those that have realised their mistakes should take heart in instances such as Saul who was murdering Christians but then converted and became the great evangelist- this is the greatness of our religion. They have recourse to the sacraments, need to forgive themselves and can offer up their emotional sufferings associated with their past choices to God for the salvation of sinners. May they be united with their little ones in eternity through the goodness of God.

  5. I truely believe that as Christians we arein a sort of 'training ground' now whereby we have the ability to do all we can, i.e Daily Mass, fervent prayer, penance, Adoration, reading Lives of Saints to help us, with the assistance of Our Lady and Saint Michael to strengthen our Will come what may, to Love God and the Church, yes, even to prepare ourselves mentally to give up our Lives...yes indeed, The will must be iron-clad for this...

  6. The secular mind now is filled with violence, moral relativism and lawlessness designs

    Just look at the barbaric act of abortion. Since 1973 there has been 55 million abortions in American alone! May I say that NO gun has ever achieved that statistic not even all the combined arsenal of WW2! The abortion agenda is the holy grail of their godless ideology in every Nation. The abortion ideology is a narcissistic ideology, which at its core is rooted in pure death. Of all issues that liberalism promotes and seeks acceptance for none is more championed and protected by these barbarians then abortion.

    Lord, Have Mercy on us all!

  7. Agreed Anne, it is the pinnacle of the black magic that medical science practices.

    Has anyone been on a prayer crusade outside abortion clinics? I have been a few times but find it a real struggle in particular seeing women going in and coming out every few minutes sometimes in a bad state and other times people blaspheming making vile comments to stir prolifers up, this I find most difficult. Also seeing the hands of the abortionist is something I find upsetting.

    When I see couples come out of there after the abomination I know their relationship is good as over. Usually the crusades I have been on entail a few frail elderly Catholic's praying and sometimes a young girl talking to women going in distributing brochures. In a sense these people are martyrs of the dry variety if it doesn't involve their blood being spilled. Before reverting to Catholicism I use to think like a pro-choicer although I didn't really think (or care) much about the issue. Digesting Catholicism, the existence of good and evil, the value of the human person made in the image and likeness of God, and how special babies and children are resulted in abortion being a shocking discovery.

  8. Today absolutes are so twisted out of proportion, words and morals are redefined to legitimize lawlessness, 'freedom' (false). Good is called evil and evil good! Such were the days in which Isaiah the prophet spoke about and here we are today with the very same spirit at work in every nation.

    I believe that society in general will get worse until nations finally implode on themselves, either via natural disasters, economically or other. Decadence, lawlessness and moral relativism are now the dominant ideology of our land. I see very clearly in my nation have apostatised not just from Almighty God and His Word but from moral absolutes as well. Lets look around us, Day by Day...

    Decadence, lawlessness and moral relativism are now the dominant ideology of our land here in UK.

    Do not be decieved by this, let us stand firm with the Good Lord. So subtle are their lies that many today are being deceived and allowing their emotions to do their “thinking for them" (2 Tim. 3:1-7).

    It is easy to deduce that the Liberal mind - void of Almighty God and moral absolutes is the exceedingly far greater evil and threat to our culture and society than any weapon.

    I belive that that the inmates are now running the asylum here with British coalition govt and the media. May Almighty God’s Word and the Sacred Sacraments give Us all the light we need and keep us rooted and grounded as this poor World is heading straight into the Day of the Lord.

    Lord Jesus, May your Kingdom Come!

  9. Anne, indeed the wrongs have been made right. I have hardly watched tv for 10 years, but I am shocked by how much worse things have got since 2002. Was at a friends place recently and one of those daytime shows was on may have been Days of our Lives - the entire episode involved people walking around in undergarments/bikini tops/bottoms even when they weren't near a pool. Also as Fr Bill Casey says, "The daytime soap operas are a veritable celebration of marital infidelity". The same good priest said, "The family home has had to become the domestic monestary to keep the barbarians out". Also how many times do we see chastity and other virtues mocked.

    God's wrath will be just and glorious. There will be a certain silence over the planet like an empty stadium after a major event.

  10. Jamey -

    You are right about connecting the future flooding of nations with the flight of the Christians to Pella described by Eusebius. There is a link to this in Jesus' eschatological discourses and the Book of Revelation (I'll elaborate on that more in a future post). Suffice to say, if there is a major apparition in Jerusalem (which will be greater than even that of Our Lady at Zeitoun - only this time it will be Our Lord Himself) accompanied by a very large earthquake centred in the same place, I would take this as a sign of the impending eruption of Cumbre Vieja (just as the destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD was heralded by the cosmic events described by Josephus). So if you lived on the Atlantic coast, and wanted to survive this terrible event, I would consider moving inland or higher ground for at least a couple of months.
    But Christ Himself warned just before his Crucifixion, that in the period of judgment after the Great Apostasy (when the wood "is dry"), the survivors would envy the dead - calling on the mountains to fall on them also.

    "And as they led him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus. And there followed him a great multitude of the people and of women who were mourning and lamenting for him. But turning to them Jesus said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us,’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us.’ For if they do these things when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?”
    (Luke 23:26-31)

  11. Thankfully abortion is still illegal throughout the entire island of Ireland - so I have never had to witness the distress of these hidden death camps. It is one area in which Irish Nationalists and the Unionists of Northern Ireland have united together, when they unanimously blocked any extension of the UK Abortion Act in 2000.

    Anne - You are quite right, secularism is particularly aggressive in the UK. A YouGov poll conducted in 2004 put the number of atheists among those surveyed at 35%, with the number of agnostics at 21%. Given that Church attendance is only at 15%, the remainder must be non-Christian or deists. This is a far worse state than America, where the number of theists is still quite proportionally high in comparision. A 2008 Gallup poll showed that only 6% of Americans claimed to be atheist. Another poll showed that only 15% claimed to have no religion (which I take is atheists and agnostics combined).
    It is particularly saddenning to see the decline in Church attendance in Ireland, since we were once fiercely proud to be Catholic. Attendance has fell from around 85% of the population in 1975 to 60% in 2005, according to the Dublin Archdiocese. Although saying that, we still have one of the highest attendance rates in Western Europe. Christianity is falling at a far greater rate elsewhere in Europe.

  12. So if one wants to avoid the great tribulation of the Antichrist they should head to the coast for the weekend when the major earthquake strikes - might even catch a big wave :-)

    In all seriousness that would probably be a mortal sin? I remember seeing a film as a kid I thought it was biblical based where there was a decent community of families perched on a hill trying to hold back forces attempting to conquer their region, eventually they could no longer hold them back so put themselves and their children out of their misery before the looting, raping, atrocities began. Likewise anyone aware if this is a sin to put your loved ones out of their misery when the inevitable is infinately worse?

    St Louis de Montfort said the greatest saints will be in the end-times it will be interesting who God raises up. Currently the church is quiet in a state of great turmoil and confusion but this winter of apostasy won't last much longer.

  13. Morally speaking, I think that knowingly putting yourself into harms way to avoid greater suffering to come would fall under the category of euthanasia - which is vigorously condemned by the Church. The Church upholds the dignity and sanctity of life, which must be preserved at every cost - even to the extent of enduring great suffering, if we are given that cross to bear. So if you know that you can possibilly get out of that particular situation, then it would be your duty as a Catholic to attempt to do so. Unless your sacrafice could attain some greater purpose, such as rescuing more lives or souls, by putting yourself in the face of danger.

  14. Thank you for those statistics Emmett.

    Ultimately, the bigger picture as to what we can do to help Society is to sanctify ourselves by every means available from Our Holy Mother Church, then we can help society on a much bigger level than we could ever imagine. It worked for the Saints, then we can do it too. They were well rooted in Christ Our Lord, no one could shake them! Come rain or high waters.

    Mary Our Mother, Pray for and with Us.

    God Bless.

  17. I listened to an audio by John Vennari and how the slippery Obama was formed by the principles of Saul Alinsky, below are some excerpts. The most interesting comment I thought was to be nice to the opposition but then once you have the power to do so crush them....

    In a 1971 book called Rules for Radicals,the left-wing agitator whose landmark Rules for Radicals was dedicated to the devil Saul Alinsky scolded the Sixties Left for scaring off potential converts in Middle America. True revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism, Alinsky taught.They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within.

    Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties.

    Mike Kruglik, Obama’s Chicago instructor in Alinsky methods, said Obama was the best student of Alinsky tactics he ever had.

    David Alinsky, Saul Alinsky’s son, applauded Obama’s successful implementation of Alinsky methods.

    Even Obama zealot Chris Matthews, in a December 2010 broadcast of “Hardball”, referred to Obama as “the guy who comes from Saul Alinsky”.

    As is stated in his Rules for Radicals, Alinsky’s foundational principles are:

    1) There is no such thing as dogma, all truth is relative: “For the organizer, everything is relative and changing,” said Alinsky. The organizer “does not have any fixed truth.” This places the organizer in a superior position, Alinsky insisted, because he is “free from the shackles of dogma.”

    2) There is no such thing as a fixed rule of ethics. For Alinksy, the end justifies the means, and all ethics are elastic according to the situation you are in or the strategy you need to employ. Alinsky taught, “Ethical standards must be elastic to stretch with the times.” If you need to lie, you lie. If you need to make promises you know you won’t keep, you do it anyway.

    3) Corruption in the leader is a kind of virtue: “To say that a corrupt means corrupts the ends is to believe in the Immaculate Conception of ends and principle”, Alinksy blasphemously asserted. “The real arena is corrupt and bloody. Life is a corrupting process. He who fears corruption, fears life.” Alinsky castigates the leader who places his personal conscience and personal salvation above the needs of the people, claiming that such a leader “does not care enough for the people to be corrupted for them”.

    This is the school in which Barack Obama was formed: no dogma; no objective truth; no fixed standards of ethics; the end justifies the means; and corruption in the leader is raised to the level of virtue.

    How can anyone believe anything Obama says? There is no fixed standard of ethics preventing him from lying to achieve whatever aims he deems fit.

    As a student of Alinksy (as is Hillary Clinton), Obama will think nothing of stamping out those who stand in the way of his Party’s agenda. In his 1946 Reveille for Radicals: Alinsky wrote that if the radicals become stronger than the opposition, they must “crush the opposition”.

    Congressman Chris Smith and Tulsa’s Bishop Slattery appear aware of Obama’s aim to “crush the opposition”. As noted, Smith warned that Obama’s pro-abortion directives are designed so that “religious hospitals will be squeezed out.” Bishop Slattery observed the new mandate may end up “closing down every Catholic school, hospital and the other public ministries of the Church, which is perhaps their underlying intention.”

    It is futile appealing the Constitution to Obama, since he publicly expresses support for its effective revision.

    The timing of the drop seems almost orchestrated at the point of the anthem which says "our flag was still there".

  19. The timing of that flag drop is weird... Perhaps it was the Pom's revenge for the Boston Tea Party :)

    Secularists seem to blame the recent hurricane Sandy on "climate change". If there are a flurry of earthquakes, tidal waves and volcanic eruptions ditto climate change will be cited.
