Bl. Elizabeth's Prophecy of Pope Benedict and the "Wolves"?

The following is a repost of material I wrote in March 2012, which can be found here. I've only just came across it again and was astonished. I've put it back up since it can now be better understood, in light of the lightning strikes on St. Peter's Basilica just hours after Pope Benedict XVI announced his abdication from the papacy on 11th Feb, 2013. I haven't changed any of the material, but will underline places of interest:

The prophecies of Bl. Elizabeth Canori-Mora (1774-1825) concerning the future persecution of a pope have some interesting affinities with the rather profound words of Pope Benedict XVI at his inaugural address: "Pray for me, that I may not flee for fear of the wolves". (See the full text of the Holy Father's inaugural address here). These words appear to reference Jesus' prophecy of the persecution of Christians in Matt 10, where Christ depicts the disciples as sheep surrounded by wolves:

"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved."
(Matt 10:16-22).

But the Holy Father's words also appear to echo the prophecies of Bl. Elizabeth Canori-Mora (you can find some biographical information on Bl. Elizabeth at Catholic Online here), which are strongly reminiscent of those of Fatima. At the request of her confessor, Bl Elizabeth began to record her revelations, which ended up spanning hundreds of notebooks, and are now stored in the archives of the Trinitarian Fathers at San Carlino, Rome.
On 22nd March, 1814, Bl. Elizabeth was praying for Pope Pius VII, when she suddenly had a vision of the Holy Father being persecuted by a pack of "wolves": During this vision, she saw the pope:

"surrounded by wolves who plotted to betray him… I saw the Sanhedrin of wolves which surrounded the Pope, and two angels weeping… when I asked them why they were sad and lamenting, looking upon Rome with eyes full of compassion they responded, ‘Wretched city, ungrateful people, the justice of God will chastise you.’”

The two angels in this vision recall the two angels of the Third Secret of Fatima, who gather the blood of the martyrs during the Great Tribulation:

Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.

In the earlier posts The Two Witnesses and Prophecies of the Martyr-Pope, we discussed how these two angels appear to represent the two cherubim which adorned the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant, and that they also may symbolise the Two Witnesses described in the Book of Revelation.

Bl. Elizabeth continued to receive private revelations concerning the plight of the pope, and on 16th Jan 1815, she stated that angels showed her:

“many ecclesiastics who persecute Jesus Crucified and His holy Gospel under the guise of doing good… Like furious wolves they scheme to pull the Church leader down from his throne.” Then she was allowed to see the terrible indignation these wolves aroused in God. “In terror I saw the blazing lightening bolts of Divine Justice fall about me. I saw buildings collapsing in ruins. Cities, regions and the whole world fell into chaos. One heard nothing but countless weak voices calling out for mercy. Countless people will be killed. [I saw that God was] extremely angry with those who persecute Him. His omnipotent hands were holding bolts of lightening, His face was resplendent with indignation and His gaze alone was enough to incinerate the whole world.”

This part of Bl. Elizabeth's vision, with a vision of lightening bolts and Divine Justice recalls various biblical passages related to the Second Coming of Christ:

For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. (Matt 24:27-28)

Bow your heavens, O LORD, and come down! Touch the mountains so that they smoke! Flash forth the lightning and scatter them; send out your arrows and rout them! Stretch out your hand from on high; rescue me and deliver me from the many waters, from the hand of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
(Psalm 144:5-8)

Note that the imagery in the above passage in Psalm 144 evokes not only imagery of volcanic eruptions "Touch the mountains so that they smoke!", but also that of a flood "deliver me from the many waters". (See the earlier post The Casting Down of Mountains for an overview of the many other passages in the Bible which connect the Second Coming with earthquakes, volcanoes and massive floods).
The above prophecy of Bl. Elizabeth, which describes "buildings collapsing in ruins" leading to worldwide chaos also mirrors the visions of Matous Lasuta during the Apparitions at Turzovka:

there will be terrible floods and other misfortunes through the elements (iii) there will be earthquakes and mountains will move (iv) Churches will collapse, houses will move and be carried away by the floods...

The prophecies of Bl. Elizabeth written on 7th June 1815 continue to describe further upheavals, where she saw:

“fierce wolves in sheep’s clothing, relentless persecutors of Jesus Crucified and His spouse the Holy Church…I saw the whole world convulsed, especially the city of Rome. How can I possibly relate what I saw of the Holy College? Because of contrary doctrines, together with the secular clergy, they were scattered, persecuted and murdered by the impious… The regular clergy had not suffered a total dispersion, but were also decimated. Countless men of all conditions died in the massacre, but not all were condemned, for among them were those of decent customs and others of holy life.”

Then in a vision which rather frighteningly reflects the current anti-Christian policies of various governments throughout the Western world, Bl. Elizabeth saw apostates attempting to wrench the Christ-child from her motherly arms - actions which would cause her to no longer attempt to hold back God's immanent wrath:

On Christmas, 1816 Blessed Elizabeth saw Our Lady, who appeared extremely sad. Upon inquiring why, Our Lady answered, “Behold, my daughter, such great ungodliness.” Blessed Elizabeth then saw “apostates brazenly trying to rip her most holy Son from her arms. Confronted with such an outrage, the Mother of God ceased to ask mercy for the world, and instead requested justice from the Eternal Father. Clothed in His inexorable Justice and full of indignation, he turned to the world.
“At that moment all nature went into convulsions, the world lost its normal order and was filled with the most terrible calamity imaginable. This will be something so deplorable and atrocious that it will reduce the world to the ultimate depths of desolation.”
(See here).

This irreversibility of God's impending wrath is also reflected in the words attributed to Pope John Paul II during the 1980 Fulda conference in Germany:

With your and my prayer it is possible to mitigate this tribulation, but it is no longer possible to avert it, because only thus can the Church be effectively renewed. How many times has the renewal of the Church sprung from blood! This time, too, it will not be otherwise. We must be strong and prepared, and trust in Christ and His Mother, and be very, very assiduous in praying the Rosary."
(See the earlier post John Paul II - The Third Secret and a Prophecy of a Mega-tsunami?)

It also recalls the words of Our Lady of Akita: "If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them".

Yet Bl. Elizabeth's prophecies also gave a glimpse of mercy to be seen through these horrendous trials, with a vision which recalls the prophecy of the Angelic Pope who it is foretold will restore the Church. Here this Angelic Pope, symbolised by St. Peter (St. Malachy's Peter the Roman?), restores the Church before the onslaught of the chastisement, and a great war:

On the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, June 29, 1820, she saw Saint Peter descending from heaven, robed in papal vestments and surrounded by a legion of angels. With his crosier he drew a great cross over the face of the earth, separating it into four quadrants. In each of these quadrants, he then brought forth a tree, sprouting with new life. Each tree was in the shape of a cross and enveloped in magnificent light. All the good laity and religious fled for protection underneath these trees and were spared from the tremendous chastisement. “Woe! Woe to those unobservant religious who despise their Holy Rules. They will all perish in the terrible chastisement together with all who give themselves to debauchery and follow the false maxims of their deplorable contemporary philosophy!
“The sky took on a morbid blue color which terrified everyone who looked at it. A dark wind blew everywhere. An impassioned and mournful shrieking filled the air, like the terrible roar of a fierce lion, and resounded all over the earth in blood curdling echoes.
“All men and animals brimmed with terror. The entire world convulsed and everyone pitilessly slaughtered one another…
“When this bloody fight will arrive, the vengeful hand of God will weigh upon these fated ones and with His omnipotence He will chastise the proud for their rashness and shameless insolence. God will use the powers of darkness to exterminate these sectarian, iniquitous and criminal men, who plot to eradicate the Catholic Church, our Holy Mother, by tearing Her up by Her deepest roots, and casting Her on the ground.

The reference to those who seek to eradicate the Church can only refer to the secularising forces sponsored by Freemasonry (See the earlier post The Synagogue of Satan).
Her private revelations continue with a vision of the unleashing of demons upon the earth, which corresponds with the prophecy of Pope Leo XIII (See the earlier post Tunguska, Pope Leo XIII, and the Opening of the Abyss):

“God will laugh at their malice, and with a mere wave of His almighty right Hand, He will punish the wicked. The powers of darkness will be allowed to leave Hell and enormous crowds of devils will invade the whole world. They will wreak great destruction and thus execute the orders of Divine Justice, to which they are also subjected. They will chastise man’s goods, families, towns, wretched cities, palaces, houses and everything else that exists on the face of the earth to the exact degree that God decrees…
“God will allow wicked men to be cruelly chastised by fierce demons, because they voluntarily subjected themselves to the devil and joined in his attack of the Holy Catholic Church…
“I saw the horrible prison, Hell. There I saw the devils that would be released on earth to carry their wicked destruction everywhere. They will decimate every place that idolatry was practiced to such an extent, that no trace of them will remain.”

There are some echoes here of Psalm 59:

But you, O LORD, laugh at them; you hold all the nations in derision. O my Strength, I will watch for you, for you, O God, are my fortress. My God in his steadfast love will meet me; God will let me look in triumph on my enemies. Kill them not, lest my people forget; make them totter by your power and bring them down, O Lord, our shield! For the sin of their mouths, the words of their lips,
let them be trapped in their pride. For the cursing and lies that they utter, consume them in wrath;
consume them till they are no more, that they may know that God rules over Jacob to the ends of the earth. Selah
(Psalm 59:8-13)

After this part of the visions of Bl. Elizabeth, which are to be equated with Pope Leo XIII's period of the 100 years given to Satan, she again makes reference to the Second Pentecost under Ss. Peter and Paul - who as the two pillars of the Church (Gal 2:9) martyred under Nero (the precursor to the Antichrist), also represent the Two Witnesses of Rev 11 who are killed by the Beast who rises from the sea:

However, all will not end in this death and destruction. After these purifying punishments, she saw Saint Peter return on a majestic papal throne together with Saint Paul, who went through the world shackling the devils and bringing them before Saint Peter, who cast them back into the dark caverns from where they had come. “Then a beautiful splendor came over the earth, to announce the reconciliation of God with mankind.”
The small flock of faithful Catholics who had taken refuge under the trees will be brought before Saint Peter, who will “choose a new pope. All the Church will be reordered according to the true dictates of the holy Gospel. The religious orders will be reestablished and the homes of Christians will become homes imbued with religion.
“So great will be the fervor and zeal for the glory of God that everything will promote love of God and neighbor. The triumph, glory and honor of the Catholic Church will be established in an instant. She will be acclaimed, venerated and esteemed by all. All will resolve to follow Her, recognizing the Vicar of Christ as the Supreme Pontiff.”
Early in 1821 Our Lord said to her, “I will reform my people and my Church. I will send zealous priests to preach my Faith. I will form a new apostolate and send the Holy Ghost to renew the world. I will reform the religious orders by means of new holy and learned reformers. They will all have the spirit of my predilect son Ignatius of Loyola. I will provide my Church with a new pastor, who is learned, holy and full of My Spirit. With holy zeal he will reform My flock.”
“He told me many other things about this renovation. Many sovereigns will support the Catholic Church and be true Catholics, placing their scepters and crowns at the feet of the Holy Father and Vicar of Jesus Christ. Many kingdoms will abandon their errors and return to the bosom of the Catholic Faith. Entire peoples will convert, recognizing the Faith of Jesus Christ as the true religion.”

This is very convincing, isn't it.

Years ago now, on the feast of St.s Peter and Paul I had an extraordinary experience in St. Peter's I can never forget. This post reminded me of it.

Thanks.

Do you mind sharing? I know some people don't like to talk about their experiences, so don't feel pressured...
I had the most profound spiritual experience of my life while praying at Bl. John Paul II's tomb (I think it was September 5th 2009 can't remember exactly what day). I don't know why I experienced this, because I wasn't expecting anything. I had visited the day before, and while awe-inspired at the historical significance of the place, didn't really feel especially moved in any way above normal. But the next day, I felt compelled to visit again, and this time the atomsphere had changed completely. There were two people at Pope John Paul II's tomb laying roses (they looked golden to me) and praying intensly. The lights were dimmed this time, and the tombs were illuminated by candle light. I remember feeling intense emotions of both joy and sorrow at the same time - it was really weird. It's hard to describe.

This remarkable post has me recalling other Scripture passages where lightning is mentioned, usually to herald the judgment of God as on Sinai and here:

"And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple, and there were lightnings, and voices, and an earthquake, and great hail.

And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars." (Apocalypse 11:19-12:1)

The Scripture scholar Fr. Kramer in THE BOOK OF DESTINY said that "voices" represent proclamations of the Church and "earthquakes" represent upheavals in the world of men, which does not preclude the fact that there are and have been actual natural earthquakes happening all over the world. Interesting that this happens in the same Chapter (11) as the appearance of the two witnesses.

Hi Elena,

Great minds think alike! I'm currently writing a post on the connections between that particular portion of the Apocalypse in line with recent events. There was an earthquake near Rome yesterday:

http://uk.reuters.com/article/2013/02/16/uk-italy-quake-idUKBRE91F0A420130216

The two angels seen by Bl. Elizabeth is connected the vision of the Ark of the Covenant.
The seventh trumpet is also directly to the seventh seal (Revelation purposely recapitulates itself):

"When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and threw it on the earth, and there were peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.
(Rev 8:1-5)

After the thunder, lightning seen in the Temple of God, an angel casts fire to the earth - which I believe is related to the recent meteorite strike in Russia just days after - the focus of the Third Secret (see my earlier posts on Tunguska and Chernobyl - Russia is always the lynchpin, as is nuclear reactors). This in turn recalls Elijah calling down fire from heaven - and I firmly believe that one of the Two Witnesses of the Apocalypse is the Angelic Pope.

Wow! This is getting really intense! I'm sure all of you like me had an overwhelming sense that when the pope announced his resignation this was a really big deal. I think the lightning and meteorite along with a quake in Rome all within the week means the stage is now set for things to get real serious. These things cannot possibly be mere coincidence. God is showing us signs he is going to move quickly.

Emmett I can't wait for your next post on these things.

Thank you Emmett, for continuing to post these updates to your wonderful book, here on the web. I've been reading them for quite a while, even though I haven't commented before.

Yes, it seems as if everything is coming to a point! So much happening in one week. Truly head-spinning stuff too! Who would have thought our beloved Holy Father would resign/abdicate?

Emmett, you truly have a gift for bringing all this information together, so that others (like me) have a better understanding of what is going on. God Bless you in your continuing work and labors. I look forward to you future postings.

"After the three days of darkness, St. Peter and St. Paul, having come down from Heaven, will preach in the whole world and designate a new Pope. A great light will flash from their bodies and will settle upon the cardinal who is to become Pope. Christianity, then, will spread throughout the world. He is the Holy Pontiff, chosen by God to withstand the storm. At the end, he will have the gift of miracles, and his name shall be praised over the whole earth. Whole nations will come back to the Church and the face of the earth will be renewed. Russia, England, and China will come into the Church." -Prophecy of Blessed Anna Maria Taigi (1769-1837 A.D.) who was Beatified by Pope Bendedict XV in 1920

I know this is going to sound a little strange but it is something that just struck me as I was reading about the devils being unleashed to chastise everyone. Do you think that is why zombie, walking dead, and vampire shows are being made by those in the entertainment industry? ( many of whom no doubt are high level freemasons) who know this is going to happen? Just a thought...

Jamey said...

Might be slightly old news but just saw this on Spirit Daily from the London Mirror:

"The Pope is under pressure to go into exile from Rome after he retires so that he does not interfere with the work of his successor, senior Roman Catholic sources indicated yesterday.

There is growing evidence that several cardinals are anxious that Benedict XVI should not carry through his plan to live in an apartment block inside the walls of the Vatican.

They fear the close presence of a retired Pope will create difficulties for the new man who will take over the Papacy this spring.

The suggestion that Benedict should be effectively evicted from his planned retreat and dismissed from Rome came just two days after the Pope’s sudden announcement of his resignation threw the church’s leadership into turmoil.

The Vatican has been gripped with rumours of faction fighting while potential candidates for the succession have been jostling for position for when 117 cardinals meet to elect a successor next month."

If true (not sure how reliable the news source is) what a way to treat someone who was the Supreme Pontiff. B16 if he was a control freak wouldn't have relinquished power like he did - mad dictators no matter how physically ill hang on until the bitter end. Also B16 wasn't in it for the power to begin with.

Thanks Laura!

Hi Anon, I keep meaning to cover Bl. Anna Maria Taigi's prophecies on this subject. It is very relevant. Thanks for posting it here. It is interesting that the statues of Ss. Peter and Paul are the most prominent outside St. Peter's basilica.

Hi Jamey,

I wonder who the "wolves" are? Ecclesiastical masonry? It all seems to be related to the Vatileaks scandals, which attempted to bring to light the divisions in the Church. It's interesting that the Holy Father highlighted these divisions in his last Homily as Pope:

"This prayer makes us think of the importance of the witness of Christian faith and life given by each of us and our communities for showing the face of the Church, and how that face is sometimes disfigured. I think in particular of sins against the unity of the Church, and divisions within the body of the Church. To experience Lent in a more intense and manifest ecclesial communion, overcoming individualism and rivalry, is a humble and valuable sign for those who are distant from the faith or indifferent."
http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/homilies/2013/documents/hf_ben-xvi_hom_20130213_ceneri_en.html

Akita keeps coming to mind:

"The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops."

Perhaps some form of Divine intervention during the conclave is needed to put an end to whatever these "wolves" are planning...

joerusso777 said...

Pope Benedict has done more than previous Popes to stunt the plans of the Wolves with Liturgy and such. His whole Papacy seemed to be built on taking these ravenous wolves Head on.
God Bless Benedict XVI for his couragous heroism!
This all seems to be coming to a tipping point now. I'm very interested to see what God will do next.

Hi Emmett,

I too picked up on the words used by both Bl. Elizabeth and the Holy Father in his inauguration address. It's interesting isn't it, that each authentic revelation has come or is coming true? What's even more astounding is the consistency among the revelations, even down to the symbolism!

Jamey said...

Emmett after the next couple of months you may just have to release a new edition of your book to cover transpiring events :-)

"I wonder who the "wolves" are?"

I speculate that it would consist of the following:
- Apostate churchmen like the Cardinal Mahony's driven by the spirit of the world (the spirit of the devil) with their own vision of the gospel, as Blessed Elizabeth says
“many ecclesiastics who persecute Jesus Crucified and His holy Gospel under the guise of doing good… Like furious wolves they scheme to pull the Church leader down from his throne.”
- Some Freemasons. I saw a certain bishop at a conference last year who relayed that the head Mason of Rome knew certain information that was privy to only a few in the upper hierarchy of the church, this bishop's testimony is reliable.
- A few Satanists as far fetched as that sounds, remember Fr Amorth's comments, many think the poor exorcist is a nutter.
- Men seeking monetary gain.

Jamey said...

"Pope Benedict has done more than previous Popes to stunt the plans of the Wolves with Liturgy and such. His whole Papacy seemed to be built on taking these ravenous wolves Head on.

Spot on - Viva il Papa! A thousand papal encyclicals, speeches, books will do very little to improve the state of the church if the ordinary form of the liturgy is stuffed.

The old liturgy is a source of constant division in the church but the results speak for themselves. From memory Benedict himself was surprised by the resistance from cardinals and other churchmen when he issued the 2007 Motu Proprio.

A couple of instances highlighting the division surrounding the old Mass:

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/damianthompson/100196899/seminary-visited-by-the-pope-bans-traditional-latin-mass/

Further highlighting division was Cardinal Burke being blocked from saying the TLM in London by Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor.
http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/damianthompson/8605093/Cardinal_invokes_Canon_Law_to_stop_Archbishop_Burke_celebrating_Latin_Mass_at_Westminster/

Burke may just be a shot at the papacy and I get the feeling he won't try to placate apostate men so interesting times ahead if he or someone of his ilk gets the job.

Emmet,
Thanks for taking the time to highlight this great piece you did. One question, I believe I have read that Pope John Paul II comments at Fulda were called into question. Some thought they were a preview of text of third secret but I remember reading that some believe he never said these things. In Michael Brown’s fine work “The Final Hour”, I think he cited that some thought these statements are not attributable to JP II.

This version had been pushed in the past by Father Gruner’s group which IMO is less than reliable.

Again, all my best. Thanks for what you do. Enjoy immensely.

Fr Miceli from his book Antichrist:

"The wretched idolatry and vulgarity of tinkering with sacred realities has, unfortunately, penetrated the Church and produced a mediocrity-ridden liturgy, a show for spectators that distracts from the holy, frustrates intimate communion with God and trivializes, where it does not suppress, sacred actions, symbols, music and words. In reality such diminished liturgies have renewed nothing. Rather these innovations have emptied churches, dried up vocations to the priesthood and sisterhood, driven off converts and opened the doors wide to a flood of renegades. Even though valid in its essence, such a new liturgy cannot inspire for it is colorless, artificial, banal, without the odor and flavor of sanctity. A humanized and popularized, man-oriented liturgy will never produce saints. Only a divinized, God-oriented liturgy can accomplish that miracle. One suspects that many priests realize the banality of the new liturgy. That is why they often become, during the Mass and other ceremonies, actors and entertainers. They put on a show in order to gain the attention of the congregation. These comedians in chasubles preach a utopian Christianity rather than the true Christianity." cont

Jamey said...

............

"In our times, then, it is not any longer a secret that the enemies within and outside the Church want to destroy belief in the divinity of Christ. Once the liturgy is humanized, Christ the center and Object of it becomes the humanist, par excellence, the liberator, the revolutionary, the Marxist ushering in the millennium; he ceases to be the Divine Redeemer. We must be alerted to these shadows of the Antichrist who plan, by convincing us to abandon our sacred forms, at length to seduce us into denying the Christian faith altogether. The Church is attacked by these children of Satan in and outside her fold, because she is a living form, "the sacrament- the sign and instrument- of communion with God and of unity among all men"; because she is the visible body of religion. Hence these shrewd masters of sedition know that when her sacred forms go, religion will go also. Violate the lex orandi and you must inevitably destroy the lex credendi. That is why they rail against so many devotions as superstitions; why they propose so many alterations and changes, a tactic cleverly calculated to shake the foundations of the faith. We must never forget, then, that forms apparently indifferent in themselves become most important to us when we are used to using them to nurture our lives in holiness."

Emmett if these hog too much space feel free to delete.

Jason,

There is some confusion about the authenticity of the alleged words of John Paul II at Fulda. But the latest, and to me most authorative confirmation that they are indeed the words of John Paul II is given in Card. Bertone's 2007 book The Last Secret of Fatima - which has a foreword by Pope Benedict XVI.

Thought of your post when reading Fr Miceli's Antichrist yesterday:

"Satan is starring today in almost as many movie and TV programs as the most beauteous damsels and the most famous godfather chieftains. The growing corps of devil's advocates are preparing today a world that will be ready and eager to accept the ideals and rule of the Antichrist when he comes. This will be a world saturated with witchcraft and occultism, a world which has demolished the temples and altars of God and set up altars to demons in houses of Idolatry. That world will be one vast supermarket peddling objects of magic, idolatrous statues, trinkets of superstition; in that world daily libations of human blood and bodies will be offered to placate the Antichrist and his master Satan...Man lives in a world that has become a witches' cauldron, a weird brew of sex, flowers, drugs, incense, tear gas, acid rock, rhetoric, bombs and blood."

I have always thought that the new media (TV, radio, etc) are largely responsible for the Great Apostasy we are enduring today. I think the Church needs to adapt better to the new media to help turn things around, such as sponsoring inspiring documentaries, films etc.

Emmett, are you aware of the work of Blessed James Alberione, founder of the Pauline Family? His passion was to use the media to proclaim the Gospel (and was beatified by JP II in 2003).
Since you are attuned to the significance of dates, Bl. James as a seminarian received his key charismatic inspiration during Eucharistic adoration on the night that divided the 19th and 20th centuries (Dec 31, 1900).

Hi Sr. Lorraine,

No I haven't heard of Blessed James Alberione before. I'm amazed that he recieved his calling at the exact turn of the 20th century! I believe this turning point was of great significance for Pope Leo XIII, and was the reason for his consecration of the world to Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1899 - which he called "the greatest act of my pontificate". It's also quite amazing that he was born in the same year that Pope Leo XIII recieved his vision of the 100 years of Satan's greater power! - Which of course was the reason for the consecration of the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
I'll have to look into his life some more. Thanks for pointing his story out to me!

Emmett,
I would like to take a step back for a moment and comment about the symbolism of Pope Benedict retiring to a monastery in the Vatican Gardens. I've personally meditated about what the 'glory" of the olive actaully is. My own interpretation is that the "glory' of the olive is oil..chrism..sweet annointing. But, in order to get to that oil it has to be crushed. I was stunned to click on this link posted a few days ago in your comment section about Taylor Marshal's blog entry and his reflection on Pope Benedict. He confirmed what I have been thinking for a few days:

http://www.taylormarshall.com/2013/02/st-malachy-prophecy-why-pope-benedict.html

The symbolism of the pope retiring to the garden stirs up images of Christ going to the Garden of Gethsemane which means the Garden of the Olive Press. Is is not possible that Pope Benedict could still be a martyr pope? The reason I say this is that the prophecies I've read from Dupont's book all tell of revolution and wars and the destruction of Rome and the death of the Pontiff. From what I've read this seems to all happen BEFORE the "angelic pastor" or "Peter the Roman" comes on the scene. I say this because of the prophecies listed in his book that tell of the Church being without a pope for quite awhile...a few years in fact.

John of Vatiguerro:
"The Pope will change his residence and the Church will not be defended for twenty-five months or more because, during that time, there will be no Pope in Rome...but...after many tribulations a Pope shall be elected out of those who survive the persecutions. By his sanctity he will reform the clergy...."

also

John of the Cleft Rock:
"The Pope with his cardinals will have to flee Rome in tragic circumstances to a place where they will be unknown. The Pope will die a cruel death in his exile."

Nicholas of Fluh:
The Church will seem to be extinguished and the succession of Peter and the other Apostles to have expired. But, after this she will be victoriously exalted in the sight of all doubters.

Dupont also writes in his book that "According to many prophecies the Church will be without a Pope for some time, and most of the hierarchy will have been destroyed. But she will miraculously rise again and be more powerful than ever."

So, what I'm ultimately getting at is this. Would it be too bizarre to speculate that Benedict is the symbolic Christ of the Agony in the Garden who will be led away and utlimately die and , just as the apostles fled to the upper room when all seemed hopeless for awhile (three days) the Church of this time period will repeat her fledgling beginning and will also be in hiding until the new Pope will emerge to bring on Her ultimate triumph?

This is just my speculation and since you are more knowledgeable about the validity of prophecies perhaps the ones I've mentioned don't carry as much weight or are not confirmed as authentic. I would appreciate your comment on this.
thanks

In reply to "Anonymous" who published the prophecy of John of the Cleft Rock".. We seem to have this backed up in theWarningsecondcoming message of Feb 28th 2013...

"You must pray hard for all of My sacred servants at this time in the terrible state of confusion in which they find themselves. So sorrowful will they be, in the next few weeks because of the demise of My Holy Vicar, that they will not know where to turn. "

So far he has not died.. and I do not know another definition of the word "demise"

I will however , as I think maybe we all ought to, pray hard for Benedict (I do not know whether to add "Pope" at this point) and the true Church..

You can't possibly be serious! Joseph Ratzinger is, as Karol Wojtyla was, just as much a faithless apostate as Albino Luciani, Giovanni Montini, and Angelo Roncalli! Roncalli was busted on suspicion of Modernism during the reign of Pope Pius XI. The fact that Pope Pius XII gave Roncalli the benefit of the doubt, just as Pope Paul IV gave Giovanni Morone the benefit of the doubt, does nothing to negate the fact that, just as Morone's "election" would've been invalid due the question of his (")orthodoxy(") hanging on his head, so was Roncalli's "election" for the same reasons, which means that, even had his "successors" been Christians, which they weren't, they still couldn't have been popes because only a cardinal can be elected pope. Giovanni Montini sold out the Iron Curtain bishops to the Soviets behind Pope Pius XII's back! Luciani called God our Father and our Mother. God is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Mary is our Mother. Wojtyla prayed at Mahatma Gandhi's tomb, worshipped the earth, worshipped devils alongside the pagans at Assisi 1986 and Assisi 2002, worshiped the serpent alongside Jews in synagogues, kissed a koran, asked St. John the Baptist to protect Mahometanism, called the false "prophet" Mahomet a prophet, and the list goes on! Joseph Ratzinger denies the True Presence, denies the inerrancy of the Bible, praises the United Nations, praises the Mahometans, calls their Satanic Religion a great religion, respects their Satanic book, encourages them to live their false "Faith" (in foreign lands), worships Satan alongside Mahometans in mosques facing Mecca, and the list goes on! Christians don't say and/or do stuff like that!

Hi Emmett,
You do a wonderful job on your posts. I have a question related to one thing that you stated. When I read Revelation 11 (The Two Witnesses) I think that there is a very good possibility that the beast spoken of in this chapter is Satan, the Devil himself. Reading the following from Revelation 20 confirms this idea for me, Revelation 20:1-3(DRA)

20 And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.

3 And he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should no more seduce the nations, till the thousand years be finished. And after that, he must be loosed a little time.

Satan will come out of the bottomless pit, two other beasts will come out of the sea and the earth as we are told in Revelation 13.

I have a feeling that what we are on the verge of is still a precursor to the Antichrist who we know won't appear until right before Eschaton. I think the world convulsing as Bl. Elizabeth describes is what will happen prior to a period of peace and a restoration of the Faith, I believe that she states this also. Right now, we appear to be on the verge of the purification probably as a result of all the sin in the world, the manifestation of Satan.

Please let me know your thoughts, thank you.

Hi Dreamer One. Satan rising from the Abyss in Rev 20 relates to the time of the unbinding of Satan, which I argue at some length is equated with the period of the Devil's greater power foreseen in the vision of Pope Leo XIII. This time will come to an end with the ministry of the Two Witnesses, who will in turn be put to death by the Antichrist.

Emmett, Thank you for answering my question. I agree with everything you have stated here except I think it is possible that the two witnesses are killed as the result of the unbinding of Satan which is possibly manifested in Freemasonry or radical Islam but not directly by the Antichrist. Because Satan/the Devil is described as a dragon in Revelation 12 and a dragon is a beast, couple this with my prior post, I truly think it is possible that the following verse from Revelation 11 may be referring to the unbinding of satan,
Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast, that ascendeth out of the abyss, shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Thank you again.
