St. Michael and the Burning Mountain

During the course of researching a topic for an updated version of my book, I stumbled across the official coat of arms of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, which shows the Archangel Michael standing with a lance over a volcano situated in the sea.  This image is highly evocative of the vision seen by Sr. Lucia when she was instructed to commit the Third Secret to writing in 1944:

‘I felt my spirit flooded by a light-filled mystery which is God and in Him I saw and heard: the point of the flame-like lance which detaches, touches the axis of the earth and it [the earth] shakes: mountains, cities, towns and villages with their inhabitants are buried. The sea, rivers and clouds leave their bounds, they overflow, flood and drag with them into a whirlpool, houses and people in a number unable to be counted; it is the purification of the world from the sin it is immersed in.

In this new version of my book, which will soon be published under the title Unveiling the Apocalypse: The Final Passover of the Church, just one of the many new subjects being covered is the how the Canary Islands figured in ancient Greek mythology as the location of Elysium and the Isles of the Blessed, which were said to lie in the far west of the known world at the entrance to Hades, which also was also where the Titans were said to have been bound in the depths of Tartarus. In this updated version of Unveiling the Apocalypse, I will show in extended detail how the Book of Enoch directly bases its story of the Watchers on the Titans of Greek mythology, which in turn forms the basis of several prophecies found in the epistles of St. Peter and St. Jude, and even the Apocalypse itself.  The Book of Enoch, which details how seven "burning mountains" stand at the entrance to Tartarus, can thus be used to establish that these are one and the same as the seven volcanic islands of the Canary archipelago.  Given that it has already been established that the Apocalypse frequently alludes to the Book of Enoch, we can be almost certain that the "great mountain, burning with fire" being thrown into the sea in Rev 8:8 is one of the seven burning mountains described throughout the Enochian literature.

Wow, I didn't even read a word of this post before immediately seeing the connection when my eye was first drawn to the coat of arms, it gave me chills up and down my back. I've been a big fan of Greek mythology since I was a child and had a big story book of dozens of the stories, and took a class in it in university just for enjoyment. I'm going to try digging out my old text book, I'm especially intrigued about the myth concerning where the Titans were bound.

Have tried many times to comment recently but with no success. Trying one last time to say Emmett that your finding on this Coat of Arms is amazing, and timely in regard to your updated book. Was thinking to myself that Jesus goes before us always, even in research, and He invites us to follow Him by taking up the cross. Then I discovered that the capital of Tenerife is none other than - Santa Cruz!

The comment at 04.28 seems to have made it this time and I note that I forgot to leave my moniker. It seems, for me anyway, that if I try to publish via the preview window, the comment goes into outer space. Man, there must be an awful lot of junk out there and some of it has got my name on it!

In regard to the burning mountain being thrown into the sea -- is your belief that this event will cause a massive tsunami on the entire east coasts of North and South America?
And secondly. Do you think it is one of the events that is a warning to humanity to help it wake up (and also as punishment) or do you believe -- in the idea of Medjugorje -- that it is one of the final events to purify humanity for its sins?
(as you know in Medj -- the first 3 secrets that the visionaries speak of are "warnings" to help people wake up and return to God -- but they are apparently not all "good" things -- meaning they have a punishment type aspect -- except for the sign left on the Hill of Apparitions - which is the last warning ---- and then the visionaries said that the last 3 secrets -- 8,9,10 - are chastisemnts for humanity's sins -- they occur to purify -- after everyone on earth has had the chance to realize their sin and wake up (the first 3 events - secrets). Do you think the tsunami is among what would be considered a warning -- or will it be a full on chastisement? Interested in your perspective. Thanks. And again - a great article!

Yes Michael, I believe that the burning mountain being thrown into the sea will bring about the downfall of America and the rise to power of the Antichrist. We can determine from Scripture that this event will be preceded by the appearance of the Sign of the Son of Man in Jerusalem, which will coincide with the eschatological earthquake. So it is the Sign of the Son of Man that will warn us of this impending cataclysm, which is the start of the Great Chastisement.

You'll need to do a lot of digging to find the relevant information Jason. A good starting point would be drawing together the points of comparison between the myth of the binding of the Titans in Tartarus and the story of the Watchers in the Book of Enoch.

Then, Sr. Lucia said: “I felt my spirit flooded by a light-filled mystery which is God, and in Him I saw and heard: the point of the flame-like lance which detaches, touches the axis of the earth, which shakes: mountains, cities, towns and villages with their inhabitants are buried. The sea, rivers and clouds leave their bounds, overflow, flood and drag with them into a whirlpool, houses and people in uncountable numbers. It is the purification of the world from the sin it is immersed in. Hatred, ambition, cause destructive wars.” Then after this, she heard the words: “in time, one faith, one baptism, one Church, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic. Heaven in eternity,” which filled her with peace and happiness. What is surprising about this is the fact that the Fatima visionary refers to the “purification of the world from the sin it is immersed in” – making it clear that all she had seen – the axis of the earth shaking, mountains falling, cities, towns and villages disappearing; millions of people dying in a frightening inundation of water from the seas, rivers and the clouds – was due to mankind’s sinfulness. Commentators speculate that what is depicted is the effects of an enormous earthquake and mega-tsunami, with landslides, entire countries engulfed and huge waves from which no one can escape
s this not what Christina Gallagher has been shown several times, and written and spoken about? Almost a decade before the worst tsunami in recorded history – in the Indian Ocean in 2004 – the deadly event was shown to the Irish visionary, and she documented it. And recall how she related soon after, in early 2005, that a much worse catastrophe, with an earthquake and tsunami of gigantic proportions would occur,
devastating large parts of Africa and Australia, and causing enormous loss of life.

“The vacuum caused by the earthquake will pull huge portions of land and property into the sea. No equipment in existence will be able to record the enormity of these events,” she said.
It was then also that she was made aware that earthquakes would cause a tsunami-type wave to come over Ireland and various other countries, and was shown floods increasing everywhere,
“leading to a deluge” and water permanently encroaching upon parts of countries, with Europe and the world affected.

Hi Emmett and others,
Intriguing to say the least. God's first commandment, "I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt not have strange gods before Me." is expanded in Exodus, "Thou shalt not have strange Gods before me. Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth." (Exodus 20:3-4)
This got me thinking a little more laterally. The last phrase 'nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth' sounds both like the geographical description of Tartarus as well as the Abyss. I wonder if the Titans of Greek mythology are linked with the fallen angels or watchers in the Enoch books. Certainly, the character Heracles (Hercules) is the son of Zeus and the mortal Alcmene. Does not Genesis 6:4 refer to the Nephilim on the Earth in those (pre-flood) days, as being the offspring of the sons of God and the daughters of Adam?
These stories may have a common source. Does some truth abound? Who knows. My wife correctly tells me to maintain my focus on Christ, as He is the Way, Truth and the Life. I can't help and think though, how fascinating it all is.

Emmett,

If the sign of the Son of Man actually does appear in the sky (or is it somewhere else?) in Jerusalem, you might say it would be quite the catalyst for the unification of ALL religions, wouldn't you say? Whether it be a cross, crucifix or Host even, it would prove to the world that the Catholic Church is the only true church and maybe by an utterance from the pope to convey this authority...in some fashion?

Hi Michael G! That passage from Exodus you quoted sounds very similar to Job 26:5-6: "The dead tremble under the waters and their inhabitants. Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering." The word translated as "dead" here is actually "rephaim", which can also mean "giants" or "mighty men", making them the same beings as that described in Gen 6:4. According to the Book of Enoch, the location where the Watchers were bound among the "seven burning mountains" is the same as that from which the waters of the deep rose up to flood the earth during the days of Noah:

"In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened." (Gen 7:11)

Dear Emmett et al,

Thanks to all for all your good works and words of insight, explanations, references, and encouragements of Faith. I have been following along for the past several months and would like to pass on a reference to one, Antonio Yague, and his development of sacred astronomy regarding much of what we are interested in here. He has produced many videos in Spanish over the years and this is a series in English explaining in part how the signs in the sky appeared to the Magi causing them to undertake their journey to adore the King. In a series of eight videos he details his understanding of sacred astronomy, pointing out also that astrology is the perversion of the sacred science, and employing parallel signs as indicated in scripture of the times of the end, and works out in detail his understanding of the signs in the sky. The link for the first of these videos is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBCdYuC2GKs (the following seven videos will load in order). He includes many references to Fatima, and Medjugorje, and Garabandal, as well as Our Lady of Guadeloupe. The whole series runs to about seven hours, and I will say there are a couple of instances in the last two videos where some speculative aspects are likely to give some pause, but all here under discussion has degrees of speculation and I am willing to recognize his. He has also written in the late nineties a book, Reflections on the Book of Revelation, which has the Imprimatur and Nihil Obstat of the Archdiocese of Madrid (1999). Most of his work is in Spanish and unfortunately that is not my language, and perhaps some others here will be able to take in more if you find it useful. He narrates the videos himself, and so there are places where a close listen is needed, but well worth it I think. He also has an E-book available, and while the videos and the book are labelled Part One, he has apparently not had time to devote to producing Part Two. I hope this adds insight to the discussion.

Regards, Murph

Could the Sign of the Son of Man -- be the same sign referred to by St Faustina -- the huge cross in the sky?
And so you're saying this event happens first -- and then is soon followed by the earthquake and mega tsunami?

Why are you doing this?
Posting a myriad of "prophecies" out loud, speculating wildly, publishing one book, then updating it, all in a tenor that wants us believe you have it right, when obviously you do not. For you would not be doing updates otherwise. Did Jeremiah update his visions? John his?
Read Ezekiel 13:6-9.

Kp said...

Uh, he's updating because he's found more information?

Maybe the popes shouldn't release any new encyclicals on any moral issues, as they've all already been covered. Pope Paul VI talked about contraception, so Pope Francis shouldn't talk about it. Pope Eugene IV talked about slavery, so Pope Francis shouldn't make any updated comments about slavery, even though there's new information and examples discovered.

If you have a reference from the Bible or Sacred Tradition that's interpreted by a Pope or Council commanding us not to read the signs of the times, then maybe you have an argument. But those of us here will stick to what St Paul told us, and will continue to read the signs of the times.

Oh, and btw, each prophet was updating what the previous prophet had revealed. The bible was written over the course of millenia, not in a month. So yes, the bible has "updates" within it.

Hi Zvonimir-

Given that one of the hallmarks of our internet age is the entrenchment of opinion so deep, holding positions so strongly that we become identified with them and thus any contrary view is seen as a threat to self-identity, I don't hold out much hope that I'll change your mind.

But Emmett is worth defending, nonetheless, and defense is always sweeter when it comes from others, rather than self-defense.

Everything you wrote is mistaken.

Emmett is not a self-stylized prophet (which in our day is itself a breath of fresh air). He does what I would call speculative theology on eschatological themes, both as found in scripture and in Vatican-approved private revelation.

This truth negates most of what you wrote. The only thing which seems to remain is your assertion that he writes "in a tenor that wants us [sic] believe you have it right."

This is not supported at all by Emmett's writings. When expressing speculation his language always uses qualifiers, e.g. "I speculate that," "I suggest that," "I propose that," and so forth. He never writes dogmatically unless he is relating Church dogma to his readers.

There is a river of noise in the world today, most especially in the field of eschatology and prophecy, threatening to drown out reason, truth and the interior lives of the Church's children. This blog, despite its not infrequent abduction by conspiracy theorists, is something of a haven.

Expect us to defend it.

Thanks guys! I couldn't have answered that better myself. Sam, it seems that the appearance of the sign of the Son of Man will bring about the conversion of the Jews, and is the ultimate fulfilment of the prophecy of Zech 12:10-11:

“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo."

I think that Church unity will be achieved at some point before the appearance of the sign of the Son of Man, since according to St. Paul, the fullness of the gentiles will be brought in before the conversion of the Jews:

"Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”;
“and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” (Rom 11:25-27)

So it will be something else other than the sign of the Son of Man which brings about the restoration of the Church. It appears that the conversion of the Jews will only take place at the end of this period, just before the rise to power of the Antichrist.

Emmett,

Thanks. When you say the sign brings restoration to the church, are you saying the east and west come together,(as in Fatima and all of orthodoxy with the western catholic church) or does this include all the protestant sects as well?

I was thinking today -- about what you said in regard to the volcano and the mega tsunami -- much of which takes out the entire east coast -- in its wake -- destroying and or causing unbelievable damage to all of the cities of the east coast and much of south america as well -- even possibly inundating the west coast of europe -- and connected with this you said that this would cause America to pretty much, fully become a 3rd world country because of the devastation (most especially I would assume by shutting down New York for a great length of time). I remembered something that was attributed to Theresa Neumann, the stigmatist and mystic from Germany -- who was a contemporary of Padre Pio. She said that America would be punished not by war from another country but by natural disasters. Interesting because, really, it would take a massive natural disaster to really destroy the economy -- much more then a few hurricanes and tornadoes. It would take an earthquake massively devastating the west coast (which could happen at any time) and of course a 40 to 100 ft wall of water from a tsunami would do it as well. We're in for a wild ride, I think, over the next 15- 20 years.

I was interested to see the elevation and population. Unless there was a prewarning of some kind, there would be a devastation of 2 million people of just the Canary Island alone. At least the United States (East Coast) would have maybe around 6 hours to try to evacuate, but Can you imagine the panic and traffic Jams! God save us!!!

La Palma, with 86,528 inhabitants covering an area of 708.32 km2 (273.48 sq mi), is in its entirety a biosphere reserve. It shows no recent signs of volcanic activity, even though the volcano Teneguía entered into eruption last in 1971. In addition, it is the second-highest island of the Canaries, with the Roque de los Muchachos 2,423 metres (7,949 ft) as highest point. Santa Cruz de La Palma (known to those on the island as simply "Santa Cruz") is its capital.

Population of the individual islands
The population of the islands according to the 2010 data are:

Christina Gallagher is mentioned above. I'd thought I recognized the name, so I did some checking.

She's the one that claims that Our Lady asked her to call her, "The Matrix".

Her messages give the impression that both Jesus and Mary make pretty harsh threats.

She claimed that one of the visionaries from Medugorje endorsed here, but the visionary (Vicka) didn't seem to know who Christina Gallagher was.

And most importantly, the bishop of her own diocese seems to have spoken against her:

"Our Lady Queen of Peace House of Prayer, scheduled to open on June 23 ... is doing so without the approval of Bishop Aymond. It should NOT be considered as sanctioned by the Catholic Church. Chancery officials have received several inquiries about its legitimacy and others have expressed concern regarding the situation.

"The house of prayer is associated with Ms. Christian Gallagher of the Tuam Archdiocese in Ireland. The Tuam Archdiocese does not recommend her or the House of Prayer as credible. We have also been informed that Father Gerard McGinnity, a priest of the Armaugh Archdiocese in Ireland, will accompany Ms. Gallagher to Austin. Father McGinnity has not been given permission to celebrate Mass at the House of Prayer and will not have faculties from the Austin Diocese to serve in any ministerial capacity."

This is from the bishop of Austin, Texas, but it does specifically say that the archdiocese of Tuam, in Ireland, does not consider Christina Gallagher as credible.

People! Matthew 24:11 - "And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray." (RSV-CE).

Hey guys --
to add further to Christina Gallagher - a few things -- I also did some digging.
-- She said that the messages from Jesus and Mary started, for her, in 1988. And apparently on her website there is a new one from Our Lord that's only a few months old. So its still happening -- as far as she is saying. I say this because even though her Bishop has not given an approval to what is supposedly happening with her -- he has not condemned her either -- which, after 28 years, I think says something. Otherwise he would have outright released a paper stating that its absolutely not of divine origin -- which none of the bishops in her diocese have done.
-- Second, as Chris said above, she has predicted a few major events that have happened. So she's either good at guessing or its divine or its from the devil.
-- Third, many priests have had good things to say about her -- including a few who have said that she read their souls -- again -- that information can only come from one of two sources. Our Lord or the devil.
-- Fourth -- she apparently has suffered the stigmata and it has been documented by doctors.
-- Fifth -- I think one of the most interesting things about her is the medal which our Lady asked to be made -- and she told her to call it the "matrix medal" -- because she said she wished to "mould" us. I think anyone making up that Mary was asking them to have medals made would not pick "matrix" as its name -- but, that's just my thoughts on the medal.
I don't know if she is real or not. But I think that her experiences are very serious -- and so whatever is happening IS either divine or from the devil.
Interesting enough -- she has also talked about a massive tsunami(s) inundating various parts of the world -- and I believe she also said that for a short time almost all of Ireland would be under some water (maybe only 2, 5, 10 feet in some places but that would only occur from a massive tsunami).
And she said this long before the information from Lucia's book was released about what she was shown -- the massive earthquake(s), tsunami.
What is obvious -- is that we live in a time where things have just about come to a head -- and the Lord is going to clean house.

About twenty-five years ago, I was very caught up with visionaries like Christina Gallagher and one called Teresa Lopez. I had the Matrix medal and started wearing it. Soon after I put it on, I had a very scary near attack late at night when I had just gotten into my car. I was shook up and wondered why that would happen with this 'protective sacramental.' I concluded that I should throw out that medal because who knows what it was linked to. When the negative judgment came from her bishop, I threw out all the tapes and books linked to Christina Gallagher. For the Teresa Lopez case, she had a lot of people fooled, even priests. It turned out that she was plagiarizing a mystic from centuries ago in her 'messages.' The most important thing the investigating priest said was: Throw out anything regarding the messages, tapes, images, pamphlets, etc. He said those items create a 'connection' to the deceit of the false prophecies and false prophet which may create problems. He said even if 99 out of 100 things are right and true, if one thing is a lie inserted into the message put there to deceive, you need to throw it out for your spiritual well being. Mary

Chris, Here is a copy of the Archbishop's correspondence about Christina Gallagher
Archdiocese of Tuam
Re: Work of Mrs Christina Gallagher at the ‘House of Prayer” at Achill
Statement of Archbishop Neary, February 29th, 2008

The Tuam Diocesan Office has recently received a considerable number of media enquiries regarding this matter. In 1996 I established a diocesan commission of enquiry to investigate certain claims regarding and emanating from this work. In 1997, acting on foot of a report from the commission, I issued a lengthy public statement to the effect, in essence, that no evidence of supernatural phenomena had been observed but that the persons involved gave every evidence of good faith. Arising from that, I proposed a basic canonical structure that would gradually integrate the work of the House into the life of Achill Parish and the Archdiocese. While this was then attempted by the Archdiocese, I became increasingly perturbed by an apparent absence of enthusiasm on the parts of Mrs Gallagher and her associates. The relationship deteriorated to the extent that Mrs. Gallagher, in July, 1998, closed the ‘House of Prayer’ at Achill, expressing to the media at the time a sense of having been harshly treated by the Archdiocese. In order to clarify the issue for the faithful I issued another statement, regretting the development and expressing grave misgivings as to the wisdom with which Mrs Gallagher had been advised and had acted in the matter.

Diocesan efforts to integrate this work ended in July, 1998 when it was closed by Mrs. Gallagher. Celebration of the sacraments and reservation of the Blessed Sacrament at the ‘House of Prayer’ are not permitted. Any work carried on since then has been entirely of a private nature and has no Church approval whatever. Neither, for reasons given above, does such work enjoy the confidence of the Diocesan authorities. Nothing has been brought to my attention to indicate that I should change from this position in the future. Over the years since then, the Tuam Diocesan Office has clearly and consistently replied to enquiries in respect of this work, which Mrs. Gallagher recommenced.

I respect the faith and devotion of many people who have been impressed by this work in the past, some of whom have expressed their sadness at my stance. Finally, I wish toremind all Church members that they should not hesitate to enquire, as a matter of course, at local diocesan offices regarding the standing of any work describing itself as Catholic, should they be in doubt.

In summary the ‘House of Prayer’ has no Church approval and the work does not enjoy the confidence of the diocesan authorities.

The Prophecies Of The Muslim Invasion Of Europe Was Predicted By Saints And Is Happening Right Before Our Eyes

http://shoebat.com/2016/03/13/94742/

..................................................................................................................I began to understand Dupon’t works and in areas where he missed interpreting correctly, I could see it clearly as I will show here.

One nation out of several that Dupont got it right was France. It will also repeat its destiny as in the past. When Hilarion says “one of the unconquerable Eagles who reigns over the enlightened nation between the Rhine and the North sea,” he is speaking of the nation “between the Rhine and the North sea” which is France. It was France under Charles Martel (the Hammer), who stopped Abdul-Rahman Al-Ghafiqi at the battle of Pottier. This “Hagar/Agar” as Monk Hilarion predicted, will rise again as John predicted in Revelations, with the “wounded beast,” and for over three years (as Daniel also predicted) will rain hell on earth and stop the consumption of the Communion.

Today we see the sons of Hagar, born in Islam, and in Turkey we see the smoke of Lucifer arising...

Sister Marianne Gaultier ( 18th century). “So long as public prayers are said, nothing shall happen. But a time will come when public prayers shall cease. People will say: Things will remain as they are. 1 It is then that the great calamity shall occur.

Before the great battle, the wicked shall be the masters, and they will do all the evil in their power, but not so much as they will desire because they shall not have enough time. The good and faithful Catholics, less in number, shall be on the point of being annihilated, but a stroke from Heaven will save them. Such extraordinary events shall take place that the most incredulous shall be forced to say: The finger of God is there.’ O power of God! There shall be a terrible night during which no one shall be able to sleep. These trials shall not last long because no one could endure
them. When all shall appear lost, all will be saved. It is then that dispatches shall arrive, announcing good news. It is then that the Prince shall reign, whom people will seek that before did not esteem him. The triumph of religion shall be so great that no one has ever seen the equal. All injustices shall be righted; civil laws shall be enacted in harmony with the law of God and of the Church. The education given to children
will be most Christian. Pious guilds for workmen shall be restored.”

his Sunday I winced when we got to the following line in the Gospel reading:

It was now about noon and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon because of an eclipse of the sun (Luke 23:44-45).

“An eclipse of the sun”? Really? Surely the translators of the New American Bible, which we hear at Mass, didn’t render the passage that way!

But they did.

Sigh.

Here’s why I had the reaction I did . . .

Hi Sr. Lorraine! There are no approved prophecies that I am aware of that mention the significance of two comets. As far as I'm aware, these comets aren't meant to be that impressive, and will be barely visible to the naked eye.

Mark W said...

Hi Sr. Lorraine,

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's actually one comet. It shattered a while back, so it's a main body and a large fragment. The nearest approach is tonight, I think, but only visible from the southern hemisphere. The comet itself is called P252/LINEAR, and the fragment is called P2016/BA14. There could be a minor meteor shower on the 28-30 of this month.

Chris,

You refer to Mr. Shoebat's article, which contains the following sentence:-
"When Hilarion says “one of the unconquerable Eagles who reigns over the enlightened nation between the Rhine and the North sea,” he is speaking of the nation “between the Rhine and the North sea” which is France."

The nation between the Rhine and the North Sea is Germany (and/or, possibly, Holland), not France. Germany's coat of arms is an eagle.

Mr. Shoebat's article also quotes a verse allegedly found on the tombstone of St. Francis de Paola. This has to be fantasy. He was born in Italy, spent most of his life there, and died in France. Any talk of his tombstone being in Essex has to be myth. If you follow the link from Mr Shoebat's article to the Milwaukee Journal you will find what looks suspiciously like a cut and paste job.

I don't know if he is referrring to the great eagle as the great monarch who is to come who is french by prophacy.

I will try to write to shoebat and get an explanation.
If so i will post.

perhaps a prediction of this

St hildegarde

The "White Flower' 1 is the Lily, the symbol
of French Monarchy. The Great King will rule over the
whole of Western Europe. His will be the new Roman Empire
at the end of which, according to many Fathers of the
Church, will come the last persecutions of Antichrist. Al-
though St. Hildegard was a German Saint, she mentions
France in particular. Why? Because France, for better or for
worse has always had a great influence on world affairs.
France poisoned the whole world with the deadly doctrines of
her 18th-century philosophers, Rousseau and Voltaire in par-
ticular. The French Revolution marked the triumph of these
philosophers' ideas, which took root first in America, then
throughout Europe in the wake of Napoleon's victorious
armies. From Europe, they spread throughout the world in
the ensuing colonial period. The social and political institu-
tions of the whole world — including Communism — are the
logical development of those ideas. It is fitting, therefore, that
the Counter-Revolution should start in France too. And, in-
deed, it is in France that the Great King, according to all
prophecies, will begin his work.

Prophesies Regarding the Coming Great Catholic Monarch

[...] Some of the prophecies given here have already been cited in my book "CATHOLIC PROPHECY" in which I gave a general picture of the coming upheaval. The present article bears more specifically on the glorious Age of Peace to come, under the reign of the Great Monarch. For this reason, I do not propose to quote at length the prophecies of my previous book but only the passages relating to the Age of Peace and the Great Monarch.

Many of these prophecies are French, and they make it quite clear that Monarchy will be restored in France.

Boy Emmett, you were correct that it takes a lot of digging around to find the right source materials vis-a-vis the Watchers and how they relate to the bound Titans. There are some passages in Leviticus, and in Jewish mythology that deal with the Watchers that gives even more credence it seems to the comparison. I couldn't help but even wonder if the connection has been recognized by certain individuals at times and has spilled out in secular works.

I'm thinking here of Lovecraft's "Great Old Ones" in his stories that have certain characteristics in common; could a secular writer like Lovecraft stumbled across the connection between the Watchers and the Titans and used them in his own original literature. It's purely speculative on my part, but it really makes me wonder.

I happen to have a conversation with an Eritrean immigrant (my wife being an immigrant from Ireland herself volunteers with new immigrants wherever they are from to get acclimatized to Canadian culture, how things like paying bills work, pretty much everything), and apparently the particular work of Enoch and the story of the Watchers is part of his church's canon (Eritrean Orthodox), and he is familiar with Greek mythology as well, so when I talked to him about the connection you've made Emmett I could almost see a lightbulb going off over his head. I just thought that that might interest you Emmett since someone who know the stories from Enoch as well as we know the Gospels definitely thinks you are on to something!

On a complete different tangent, I've recently come across the prophecies regarding the Minor Chastisement of St, Bertina Bouquillon. I don't know if you take requests for future blog entries you make, and I hope I am not doing anything offensive in asking, but I thought you might want to do a write up on her and her prophecies. They aren't anything that we basically haven't read elsewhere, but she is from a time relatively close to us compared to many writers of prophecies about the Minor Chastisement as she passed on in 1850. Maybe there isn't enough information about her to make it worth a blog posting by you, but I thought it might be something worth mentioning.

But, again, your posts are already a delight and a sober reminder to myself to stay right with Our Lord and close to Our Lady, so whatever you post I always find fascinating already, so take any suggestion from someone like me with a grain of salt.

p.s. I admire the way you tactfully handled the unjustified criticism from the poster named Zvonimir. Judging by his name he would be Croatian, so maybe that can explain a little of where he was coming from (not that it makes it alright to accuse you in such a far-off-base way), but I know in the Croatian community (at least the Croat I know), the whole situation there with the prophecies not yet approved or disapproved is a very decisive and hot-button issue, hence an explanation maybe for his strong reaction?

God bless you Emmett, keep up the good work!

Jason R. said...

p.p.s. On another unrelated note, I thought I'd share something I've recently discovered about Fulda, and how the place's history may relate to what Pope St. John Paul is alleged to have spoken there about (regarding the 3rd Secret of Fatima and it's relation to the Minor Chastisement where millions will perish from minute to the next via water i.e. the mega-tsunami).

In it's time when the Kingdom of the Franks was still in control of a great amount of present day Europe, Fulda was it's center of higher learning in way Alexandria had been in the past. In fact, Rababus Maurus (from whose writings of the Great Monarch told of the Monarch going to Jerusalem to lay down his sceptre and crown on Mt. Olivet)was a great teacher at, and even eventually became the headmaster of the school, at Fulda.

I found the connection interesting, and if the Pope did make the comments that he is alleged to have at Fulda, I don't think he chose the location where he made the comments by happenstance, but precisely because of Fulda's history and connection with the foretelling of the Great Monarch and the related Minor Chastisement. This is nothing groundbreaking I'm sure, but it does in my mind lend credence to what the Pope is alleged to have spoken of there (as you Emmett have written about in a great older blog entry from Oct./11 http://unveilingtheapocalypse.blogspot.ca/2011/10/john-paul-ii-third-secret-and-prophecy.html).

Emmett O'Regan said...

Thanks Jason! Very insightful as always! Lovecraft immersed himself in this material, so I would be surprised if he didn't make the connection. I knew that the Ethiopian Coptic Church accepted the Book of Enoch as canonical, but I didn't realise that the Eritrean Orthodox did as well. Do you mind sharing the passages in Leviticus you thought might concern the Watchers of Enoch? Is it the one about Azazel? Interesting point about Rabanus Maurus btw...

Jason R. said...

You're correct! This part caught my eye from Leviticus 16, as Azazal translates from the Hebrew as "scapegoat":, and his role in the Day of Atonement ceremony (Yom Kippur) points to him as a son of the serpent (and of course in Enoch he is one of the Watchers). Not a huge connection, but I found it of some interest because it just seems to lend even more credence to the veracity of the book of Enoch as a whole.

"Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house. He shall take the two goats and present them before the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. Then Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats: one lot for the Lord and the other lot for the scapegoat. And Aaron shall bring the goat on which the Lord's lot fell, and offer it as a sin offering. But the goat on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon it, and to let it go as the scapegoat into the wilderness."

On another off-topic (I am really sorry if I'm cluttering up the comments sections again, apologies to anyone who might find it annoying, truly), I recently picked up a book that I read before I got interested in Catholic prophecies thought I thought might be of some interest to you Emmett.

It's called "The Next Hundred Years", written by an expert in the science of geopolitics, George Friedman. It was a NYT best-seller and a best-seller when it came out in Canada as well. What is so striking is how closely his predictions for the near-future of the world dovetail in with yours based on prophecies, including the likelihood of a confrontation between Russia and the West based in the Balkans or Ukraine, and also the likely potential of Turkey becoming a super-power, either regional or even further afoot, in the near future.

I'm not sure if you have access to places like Amazon in N.I. (I know, if you do, I must seem pretty dumb, haha), but if you are interested in reading this book I'd be more than happy to send you my copy if you have a mailing address or P.O. Box number that you are comfortable sharing (though I understand completely if you aren't, no worries). You can share it with me if this is the case though via my email address (I know I've written you in the past, but if you need it again let me know and I'll email you once more).

Even though it's written from a purely secular viewpoint (or perhaps exactly because of that), it is rather chilling how well its predictions fits into the overall chain-of-events you've laid out in your book and your blogposts!

Emmett O'Regan said...

Thanks Jason! Yeah, the centenary of the Easter Rising is just a big a deal for us Catholics in the north as it is in the Republic. The anniversary is commemorated on Easter Sunday itself, rather than Easter Monday, when the Rising actually took place. Jason R. said...

Oh, that's great then! I was listening to "Grace" by the Wolftones while I was writing you. When I was 7 (1977) an Irish boy who lived on Falls Road as well joined are class as he was orphaned and had an uncle here in Canada. His father had been shot by a Loyalist paramilitary group, and the Army and RUC won't let the family retrieve the body for several days (ostensibly because of the danger of sniper fire they said, but really as a punishment as Roland's father was a suspected Republican, not a PIRA member, but just a Republican by belief). I never forgot that even though Roland only stayed in Moose Jaw for a few years... it's so horrifying to think of; Roland told us that birds ate the eyes out of his poor dad's corpse before they were allowed to bury him with some dignity. Anyways, very glad that is all over. I hadn't thought about that in years but hearing the name "Falls Road" brought it rushing back to me.

Under the Volcano

I'm spending Easter in the southern tip of La Palma. There are many volcanic vents in the area and two notable dormant volcanoes, namely: Volcan San Antonio which erupted in 1677 "with forty mouths" and the baleful Volcan Teneguia which spewed forth a massive lava field as recently as 1971 and extended the Island of La Palma significantly in a southern direction.

The island is relatively new having been formed a mere 1.6 million years ago. Volcanoes generally occur where tectonic plates convege. The Canary Islands are somewhat of a mystery in this regard as there are no continental 'boats' coming together in that region. It is thought that the entire archipelago is the result of a 'hot spot' in the Earth's mantle though some geologists disagree.

In the middle of the isle is the massive Taburiente caldera and extending southwards from that is a line of currently inactive cones, craters and calderas. The main ones are San Juan, Nambroque, Hoyo Negro, Duraznero, and Volcan Martin together with the aforementioned San Antonio and Volcan Teneguia.

This mountainous region is called Cumbra Vieja, the old summit. In spite of the name, which suggests a discrete peak, no such distinct pinnacle seems to exist; rather the entire array of slumbering vents that constitute the ridge fall under that name. Cumbra Vieja therfore is a district and a rather large one at that.

I doubt very much that the process of island building is finished here. I think we can expect further events of an explosive kind. One local I spoke to suggested that the entire south western section is unstable and riddled with tunnels, caverns and cavities of all sorts, but who knows?

Furthermore, it appears that there may be as many as two precedents for what Emmett is suggesting. It seems that one such event, a massive collapse followed by a devastating tsunami, occurred roughly half a million years ago. The other destructive displacement of water happened early on in the life of this very young island. The ocean surrounding La Palma is very deep, I'm told, so that an essential ingredient for destruction, should there ever be another catastrophic landslide, is available right here.

Let us hope it never happens.

Hi Emmett (and everyone else!), I thought I'd post regarding what seems as yet a bit of an open question as to whether Pope Francis could potentially be the Angelic Pope of prophecy. I stumbled across something that leads me to think that Pope Francis could not logically be the Angelic Pope because of other prophecies that would contradict this possibility and take place earlier in the stages of the Minor Chastisement.

The prophecy is from the Desmond Birch book, page 343, but the copy I am pasting is a fuller text of the prophecy than Birch provide:

6. Capuchin Friar (18th Century)

"All the ecclesiastics, both secular and regular, shall be stripped of all their possessions, and of every kind of property, and obliged to beg from lay persons their food and everything necessary for their support, and for the worship of God. All religious orders will be abolished, except one having the rules of the most rigid and most severe institute of the ancient monks. During these calamities the Pope shall die. Through the death of the Supreme Pontiff the Church will be reduced to the most painful anarchy, because from three hostile powers three popes will be contemporaneously elected: one Italian, another German, the third Greek, by force of arms, shall be placed on the throne. During this time much human blood shall be shed in Italy, and many cities, country towns, and castles shall be brought to ruin, with the death of many thousands of persons.
"By the Catholic clergy and people the true and lawful Pope will be elected, who shall be a man of great holiness and goodness of life, selected from the surviving monastic Order mentioned above.
"A scion of the Carlovingian race, by all considered extinct, will come to Rome to behold and admire the clemency of this Pontiff, who will crown him, and declare him to be the legitimate Emperor of the Romans, and from the Chair of St. Peter, the Pope will lift up the standard, the crucifix, and will give it to the new emperor.
"This new emperor, with the robust Italian and French people, and with those of other nations, will form a most Powerful host, called the Church Army (see 114), through which he shall destroy the Ottoman Empire, all heresies, and shall also totally defeat the Emperor of the North, who is called Mystic Antichrist.
"The above mentioned new emperor, with the assistance of God and of the Pope, will cooperate to the reformation of abuses; will assume (with the free consent of the Pope) the management of the temporal government; will assign a decent pension to the Supreme Pontiff, and also the bishops and clergy: and they all, being detached from earthly covetousness, will live in peace, which shall last till the end of time.
"Finally, the Pope will select twelve subjects of his religion, whom he will send through the world to preach missions. They shall have the power of converting the nations to the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, excepting the Hebrews, who are reserved for the end of the world."

So the incident with the 3 popes being put up as authentic, one German, one Italian, and one Greek (the Greek is the one chosen by the power of the gun, perhaps at the influence of the Russians), and then leads the Church as an antipope for a time. This incident obviously hasn't happened yet, and is to take place before the coming of the Great Monarch and the Angelic Shepherd, so that would rule Pope Francis out as the potential Angelic Shepherd, which is not a critical point maybe in any case, but one that gathered interest.

The only other possibility I can think of is if this particular incident in the greater context of the Minor Chastisement is in itself a conditional prophecy, and if it is and then need not take place, perhaps in those circumstances I suppose the possibility of Pope Francis being the Angelic Shepherd are still in the realm of possibility.

Mark W said...

Hi Jason,

I'm really put off by a lot of these Great King prophecies for the simple reason that so many are contradictory (or just plain weird). This is the first one I can remember that mentions three popes being elected simultaneously. It's all a great muddle with only a small nugget of valuable information buried in the mud. The difficulty is sorting out what's right from what's wrong.

It's even difficult to see this one in a figurative light. Three popes from three different places is hard to see in anything as it is now, or has been. And the Ottomans are technically gone (and, yes, I know that Erdogan makes that a little dicey, but as we say here in Texas, "they ain't what they once was.").

It's all a bit too confusing for me. (Perhaps I should have some more coffee.)

Mark W, point very well taken. The scholarship behind the Birch text is just so exemplary that I (probably wrongly) put more credence in the prophecies he quotes in his book, but separating the wheat from the chaff when it comes in private prophecy will always be an endless task.

I would take issue with you on one point (respectfully). There is quite a precedent in approved prophecies that point to the future where the ones who make the prophecies refer to geographical location and future political entities closest to what they would be called in their day (e.g. referenced to Prussians rather than Germans is one example, or even the prophecy of a revised Roman empire most likely referring to the former territory the empire covered than possibly a complete recreation of the empire with all its former trappings).

In the 18th century when the prophecy of this Capuchin Friar was made, Islamic Empire = Ottoman in the mind of the day i.e. "It must be born in mind that at that time these prophecies were written, the average person equated the Muslim religion (or power in the hands of the Muslims) with the Ottoman Empire." It wouldn't be at all unlikely that if this seer saw a future resurgent Islamic Empire of any sort that he would brand it "Ottoman". This would fit a pattern seen with other seers who made anachronistic references in prophecies that by the events laid out we know still belong to the future, such as, again, the talk of a revived Roman Empire.

In any case, with Turkey on track for its economy to enter the world's Top Ten sometime in the next decade, and the opportunities that the mess is Iraq and Syria have afforded Turkey vis-a-vis spreading its influence, the idea of a resurgent Ottoman Empire, even if it goes by a different name, isn't at all a fanciful notion.

That anonymous prophecy sounds rather suspect to me also Jason. The following millenarian passage hoists up a major red flag:

""The above mentioned new emperor, with the assistance of God and of the Pope, will cooperate to the reformation of abuses; will assume (with the free consent of the Pope) the management of the temporal government; will assign a decent pension to the Supreme Pontiff, and also the bishops and clergy: and they all, being detached from earthly covetousness, will live in peace, which shall last till the end of time."

The reign of the GM is immediately followed by the appearance of the Antichrist, so there will definitely not be a peace which lasts up to the end of time during his career. The vast majority of GM prophecies are spurious, and many of them should be rejected. They only lead to confusion.

That's an interesting site, Chris. Not sure what to make of David Bowie visiting her from Purgatory. But it's definitely interesting.

Chris - After looking at some of the revelations from Valentina Papagna, I don't think they are inspired from Heaven at all. At one point, Mary prays the Hail Mary with Valentina, and the Our Father. She also says that you go to purgatory for receiving communion in the hand, though this is currently approved by the Church. And then there's the ghost of David Bowie.

Nope, sorry. This one doesn't appear legitimate.

Agreed. just got finished reading some of these and they don't seem to offer insight into religious principles but rather stories about individuals.

I get confused when reading about these personal saint revelations because as emmett just illustrated, unless you have a greater knowledge and understanding you can't tell whats real.

I remember reading about padre pio when i was younger and the tails about pugatory visits.. But then read in the bible the story about the begger and his request to have people warned. I am a devotee of padre pio but ponder this seemingly divergence.

Also, a family member had a interestng meeting and time spent with Therese Neumann and the priest which documents her life. Things which can't be are seen and things which can't be known are known.

Anyway my point is there seems to be truth intermixed with these stories an it makes it worthwhile to look into these as we go.

Anyway thanks for the heads up mark.

I forgot to mention, thanks also for the reminder of the difference between credible sources compared to unsourced/anonymous predictions Emmett, no matter how respected a text they come from.

I feel rather stupid posting that prediction now, first because I didn't read it nearly close enough (missing completely the entire millenarian aspect to it that makes it completely unreliable on its face), and, secondly, I should know better than to give any credence to prophecies other than those which have been approved by the Church or come from Venerables, Blesseds, and Saints whose well known piety and holy lives give their prophecies and predictions much more credibility just in the way these people lived their lives so publicly with Our Lord.

But since the topic of a revived Ottoman kind of came up as a result, I thought this would be a good opportunity to share an excerpt of a book I recommended above on geopolitics called The Next 100 Years; though written in 2009 some of it prediction have already astounding, including the incursion of Russia into the Ukraine, and the mess in the Middle East, including Turkey's emerging role and the Russian intervening in the area of Syria-Iraq with actual physical force.

This is purely a secular book, but geopolitics has been shown to be pretty good at accurately predicting how countries and power-blocs will act, often predicting major world incidents many, many years before they occur based on the imperatives that are forced on countries by their resources, natural barriers, and other geological and mostly geographical factors.

The following is an except I'm typing out, I believe that it is legal based on fair-use rules around copyright, but if you aren't comfortable having it here I will erase it right away Emmett.

It is sometimes hard to understand how a very powerful Islamic super-state could emerge which plays a big role in proximate events in the Minor Chastisement in a relatively short time. But after reading the except from this secular text, it's hard to see anything but the absolute inevitability of Turkey becoming an Islamic super-state with enough economic and military clout to take on Europe in a world where the United States is suddenly taken out of the picture completely and Atlantic Europe seriously weakened by a mega-tsunami.

Again, the whole book is quite amazing in how well it fits in with prophecies of the period of the Minor Chastisement and how the world will line up in terms of military and political power at that time, if the prophecies turn out to actually occur if our prayers and following the requests of Our Lady of Fatima are not enough to put it off as they are conditional prophecies (although with the apostasy that even the Pope had acknowledged seemed to him to look very much like the long prophesied wide-spread and unprecedented apostasies to precede and bring-on the Minor Chastisement (sorry about the length of this excerpt, but reading it in its entirety aids with understanding how a new Ottoman empire type entity in Turkey is almost certain to develop, and also for any spelling mistakes which I'm sure I'll have plenty of):

"TURKEY

During the Russo–American confrontation in Europe leading up to 2020, there is going to be a subsidiary confrontation in the Caucasus. The Russians will press south into the region, reabsorbing Georgia and linking up with their Armenian allies. The return of the Russian army to Turkey's borders, however, will create a massive crisis in Turkey. A century after the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the rise of modern Turkey, the Turks will have to face again the same threat they faced in the Cold War.

As Russia later crumbles, the Turks will make an unavoidable strategic decision around 2020. Relying on a chaotic buffer zone to protect themselves from the Russians is a bet they will not make again. This time, they will move north into the Caucasus, as deeply as they need to in order to guarantee their national security in that direction.

Jason R. said...

...cont

There is a deeper issue. By 2020, Turkey will have emerged as one of the top ten economies in the world. Already ranked seventeenth in 2007, and growing steadily, Turkey is not only an economically viable country but a strategically crucial one. In fact, Turkey enjoys one of the strongest geographic locations of any Eurasian country. Turkey has easy access to the Arab world, Iran, Europe, the former Soviet Union, and above all the Mediterranean. The Turkish economy grows in part because Turkey is a center of regional trade as well as a productive economic power in its own right.

By 2020 Turkey will be a surging, fairly stable economic and military power in a sea of chaos. Apart from the instability to its north, it will face challenges in every other direction as well. Iran, which has not been economically or militarily significant for centuries but whose internal affairs are historically unpredictable, lies to the southeast. To the south, there is the permanent instability and lack of economic development of the Arab world. To the northwest, there is the perpetual chaos of the Balkan Peninsula, which includes Turkey's historic enemy, Greece.

None of these regions will be doing particularly well in the 2020s, for several reasons. The Arabian Peninsula to Turkey's south will, in particular, be confronting an existential crisis. Except for oil, the Arabian Peninsula has few resources, little industry, and minimal population. Its importance has rested on oil, and historically the wealth produced by oil has helped stabilize the region. But by 2020 the Arabian Peninsula will be declining. Though it will not yet be out of oil, and far from impoverished, the handwriting will be on the wall and crisis will loom. Struggles between factions in the House of Saud will be endemic, along with instability in the other sheikhdoms of the Persian Gulf.

The broader issue, though, will be the extreme fragmentation of the entire Islamic world. Historically divided, it has been badly destabilized by the U.S.– jihadist war. During the U.S.–Russian confrontation of the late 2010s, the Middle East will be further destabilized by Russian attempts to create problems for the United States to the south of Turkey. The Islamic world in general, and the Arab world in particular, will be divided along every line imaginable in the 2020s.
The Balkans, to Turkey's northwest, will also be unstable. Unlike the Cold War in the twentieth century, when U.S. and Soviet power locked Yugoslavia into place, the second round of the U.S.–Russian confrontation will destabilize the region. Russia will be much less powerful than it was the first time around and will confront a hostile Hungary and Romania. Just as the Russians will work to contain Turkey (through the Arab countries to Turkey's south), so they will attempt to contain Hungary and Romania by trying to turn Bulgaria, Serbia, and Croatia against them. They will cast a broad net, knowing that they will fail in some cases but hoping for enough success to divert Turkey's attention. As Greece, Macedonia, Bosnia, and Montenegro are drawn into the Balkan conflicts, the region will once again become a shambles. The immediate periphery of Turkey is going to be unstable, to say the least.

Jason R. said...

cont ...

The Islamic world is incapable of uniting voluntarily. It is, however, capable of being dominated by a Muslim power. Throughout history, Turkey has been the Muslim power most often able to create an empire out of part of the Islamic world—certainly since the Mongol invasions of the thirteenth century. The century between 1917 and 2020 has been an anomaly, because Turkey has ruled only over Asia Minor. But Turkish power—the Ottoman Empire or a Turkic power ruling out of Iran—has been a long-term reality in the Islamic world. In fact, Turkey once dominated the Balkans, the Caucasus, the Arabian Peninsula, and North Africa (see map on page 84).
During the 2020s, that power will begin to reemerge. Even more than Japan, Turkey will be critical in the confrontation with the Russians. The Bosporus, the strait connecting the Aegean and the Black Sea, blocks Russian access to the Mediterranean. Turkey historically controlled the Bosporus, and therefore Russia historically saw Turkey as a power that was blocking its interests. It will be no different in the 2010s or early 2020s. The Russians will need access to the Bosporus to counter the Americans in the Balkans. The Turks know that if the Russians are given such access and succeed in achieving their geopolitical goals, Turkish autonomy will be threatened. The Turks, therefore, will be committed to their alliance with the United States against Russia.

As a result, the Turks will be instrumental in America's anti-Russian strategy. The United States will encourage Turkey to press north in the Caucasus and will want Turkish influence in Muslim areas of the Balkans, as well as in the Arab states to the south, to increase. It will help Turkey increase its maritime capabilities—naval, air, and space—to challenge the Russians in the Black Sea. It will ask the Turkish navy to share the naval burden in the Mediterranean and use its power to block Russian adventures in North Africa. The United States also will do everything it can to encourage Turkish economic development, which will further stimulate its already surging economy.

When the Russians finally collapse, the Turks will be left in a position they haven't been in for a century. Surrounded by chaos and weakness, the Turks will have an economic presence throughout the region. They also will have a substantial military presence. When the Russians collapse, the regional geopolitics will reorganize—without real effort on their part—around the Turks, who will become the dominant power in the region, projecting influence in all directions. Turkey will not be a formal empire yet, but it will be, without a doubt, the center of gravity in the Islamic world.

Of course the Arab world will have severe problems with Turkey's reemerging power. Turkish mistreatment of Arabs under the old Ottoman Empire has not been forgotten. But the only other regional players that could exert as much power will be Israel and Iran, and Turkey will be much less objectionable to the Arabs. With the Arabian Peninsula beginning its decline, the security and economic development of the Arab countries will depend on close ties to Turkey.

Jason R. said...

cont... (and finally, last one!)

The Americans will see this development as a positive step. First, it will reward a close ally. Second, it will stabilize an unstable region. Third, it will bring the still significant hydrocarbon supplies of the Persian Gulf under the influence of the Turks. Finally, the Turks will block Iranian ambitions in the region.
But while the immediate response will be positive, the longer-term geopolitical outcome will run counter to American grand strategy. As we have seen, the United States creates regional powers to block greater threats in Eurasia. However, the United States also fears regional hegemons. They can evolve into not only regional challengers but global ones. That is precisely how the United States will begin to view Turkey. As the 2020s come to an end, U.S.–Turkish relations will become increasingly uncomfortable.

The Turkish perception of the United States will change as well. In the 2030s the United States will be seen as a threat to Turkish regional interests.
In addition, there might well be an ideological shift in Turkey, which has been a secular state since the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Historically, the Turks have taken a flexible approach to religion, using it as a tool as much as a system of belief. As it faces U.S. opposition to the spread of its influence, Turkey may find it useful to harness Islamist energies by portraying itself as being not only Muslim but also an Islamic power (as opposed to a faction like al Qaeda) attempting to create an Islamic superstate. This would shift Arab Muslims in the region from a position of reluctant alignment to energetic participation in Turkey's expansion, regardless of the history and cynicism of the move. We will see, as a result, the United States confronting a potentially powerful Islamic state that is organizing the Arab world and the eastern Mediterranean. The United States will be existentially threatened by the combination of Turkey's political power and the vibrancy of its economy, even as challenges continue to arise on other fronts."

Also, and finally, thanks again for the correction Mark W.!, and my apologies to all; I really should know better by now about posting any prophecies that aren't above reproach or contradict details we know to be correct.

p.s. If I am getting much too far atopic Emmett, please, *please* let me know as well. I don't want to be anything other than a positively contributing member of this little community whose posts help add to the discussion or have something that ties in or otherwise provides additional support to your own theoretical work that I value so much, so I would never take it personally if my posts are much too long, or go to far off the topic (as in with the excerpt from the book The Next 100 Years.) and I require some correction from you Emmett, especially considering how much awe I am in of your enormous body of work in your book, but almost moreso in your posts, and of the scholarly effort, rigorous, that you seem to put into everything. I definitely trust your judgement over these things much more than my own. I know I can be almost unbearably long-winded, I think it's a bad habit I've picked up from being bed-bound for such a long time... I work on it, but it's hard to keep perspective if I am talking (or writing) much-too-much, so anyone reading this, please let me know if I am too verbose and need to work on my brevity! I know I shouldn't be using this forum to satisfy my own craving for human contact and companionship, and apologize if I stray into doing that at times.

Hi Jason,

I think it was Emmett that pointed out the millenarian points of that prophecy, not me.

I read through the posts on the Turk.

First off, I hope Emmett won’t remove them. This kind of thing is important. The whole arena of prophecies that bring us to this site are going to be played out in the world around us. So the information posted about “purely secular” news like this is valid because of its potential connection to prophecy. Pontius Pilate was a purely secular guy, but Christ himself said, “Thou shouldst not have any power against me, unless it were given thee from above.” (DRB) The Turk is the same way – any power they have to make mischief relative to the chastisement will come in much the same way Pilate’s came.

Second, I think one thing is economically certain – Russia’s collapse, if it happens, will be economically triggered. Right now, I’m watching the economic situation pretty closely. Odds are good that the trigger will be in some way related to China, but it could be just about anything. The catch is, it will be global in nature, so the U.S., Canada, Western Europe – Turkey – Russia, et alia ad infinitum – will all suffer under the economic fall.

I do think it’s interesting that the Turk and the Saudi’s cozied-up to one another so much when the Russians were in Syria, and that all that cozy talk died away after the Russians pulled out.

A lot of things depend on how bad the economic situation gets. One economist (Jim Rickards), says that it will be survivable just as it was in the 70's, but gold will be trading at $10,000 to $50,000 (USD) once the reset is done. Another financial expert (Robert Kiyosaki) says we’ll be reduced to canabilism or starvation. The reality is likely somewhere between those extremes, but you get the idea. But Turkey won’t be immune to this, whatever form or depth it takes.

I worked closely with a guy from Lebenon many years ago. He pointed out that the Arab world had not had a decent leader since Saladin (an exaggeration, but you get the idea that it’s been a long time). He did mention that if the Middle East were ever graced with a strong, good and charismatic leader, it would united around him and become a real force only then. I don’t see Erdogan as such a leader, or he would have pulled them together by now. I don’t see al-Baghdadi as such a leader either (though he may be closer than Erdogan). So someone else must be out there.

And I still wouldn’t be surprised if the economic collapse was this year or next, and I’ve said for 8 years now that we may not get to the next election here in the U.S. We’ll see.

But as far as I’m concerned, keep posting, Jason!

I know this is a change of subject but I am referring back to an earlier article on the Sacred Heart. I read the comment section last night in bed and was unable at the time to write a response. Many readers were speculating on the beginning/end of the 100 year reign of Satan granted to him by the Lord Jesus Christ.

I don't think anyone mentioned it but Margaret Sanger and her sister opened the first birth control clinic in the United States on October 16, 1916. The Miracle of the Sun occurred one year later on October 13th, 1917. You may recall that an angel appeared to Lucia in the year before the apparitions began but I don't think she ever gave a date (I don't think she was sure of the date). Is it possible this angel appeared on the date of the opening of this clinic or on the 13th of that month/year?

Irrespective of that speculation, it seems to me the 100 years began with the final battle between life and anti-life, between heaven and hell, when Mary appeared at Fatima and Satan initiated a culture of death.

Emmett O'Regan said...

Try not to be so self-conscious Jason! :) I always enjoy reading your comments! And its always good to bring up discussion. The author of the book you mention does seem to know his stuff. Islam will definitely be galvanised somewhat considerably by the downfall of the US. But I think Russia will be the most to benefit, and a Russian takeover of Europe as foreseen by Blessed Elena Aeillo will be the most likely scenario. Our Lady warned Sr. Lucia that Russia will be the instrument of God's chastisement, and I don't see any reason to suggest that this has changed, or that its capacity to present such a threat has completely subsided.

Anon - Yes, that appears to be another significant factor. There has been some further light shed on the prophecy of Pope Leo XIII by a recently published book. I hope to put up a post on this subject soon.

Hi Sam,

I've heard of the Baba Vanga prophecies, but that's not what I'm referring to. Baba Vanga seems to have been pretty vague, and people have to read a lot into what she said. There's a reason they call her the "Nostradamus of the Balkans" - Nostradamus was really vague as well.

My idea comes from economics and politics more than anything else. It would be very long to try to explain it all, but economically speaking the West is really short on options right now; there are a few, but they're all very risky with seriously negative prospects. One good shove and the western economic model collapses, and with it our way of life (at least, in general terms). I don't think we have the overall strength of will to survive a 1929 style collapse and a bigger depression than the Great Depression. We're too divided.

Odds are, we fracture in a pretty fundamental way. And in so doing, we follow some of the prophecies that Emmett has mentioned.

Jason R. said...

p.s. To Emmett, I most certainly agree with you vus-a-vas Russia being the instrument through which Our Lord will chastise this world as indicated at Fatima and through countless prophecies of Saints, Blessseds, and Venerables throughout the ages.

Russia has their demographic troubles' their shrinking population, the population crunch with a heavy-ended elderly population (the baby-boomers as they are referred to here) as a result primarily of the scourge of abortion and birth-control hand-in-hand along with not enough workers to sustain the elderly demographic in the next coming generations, the same problem will be playing out in the West just as well, and there will not be enough immigrants available world-wide anymore to satisfy the demand to fill the demographic "hole" that abortion and birth-control have created, and the economic crisis that will accompany it.

It seems strange when it is much in the news how countries do not want immigrants whereas in the coming decades modern, industrialized countries will be fighting over who gets them, and will even be offering incentives to attack foreign labourers. It is already happening where I live in Canada where many tens of thousands of workers are brought here as TFWs (temporary foreign workers).

So Russia won't be alone in her problem of a drastically reduced population; Germany and France are experiencing the same crisis, as are all of the world's top economies, even in Asia, which we think of overly crowded often, in both Japan and South Korea.

No matter how Russia may fall economically and in terms of population, the next age of warfare will be carried out in as different a way as between the First World War vs. the Second World War, if not even moreso. Hypersonic weapons able to travel 10X the speed of sound, weapons from space, Russia's nuclear arsenal (which is not going anywhere, but which they are still evolving and adapting as was seen with that nuclear torpedo capable of producing a mega-tsunami all on it's own in a man-made way), and above all, through the use of biological weapons.

Both scripture and prophecy place a big emphasis on "pestilence" that I think many of us tend to overlook. I believe the only interpretation of the widespread pestilence predicted and what part of the planet's population it will take can only refer to biological weapons, weapons that could include such monstrosities such as, say, an airborne-transmitted hybrid of the flu and ebola virus which could be designed to have nothing that could stop it, with no known antidote or antibiotic available... by design. Could you imagine something like the 1918-19 Spanish Influenza epidemic that killed so many millions, but that had ebola spliced in? Just contemplating it feels to chill my very blood in my veins.

And also the threat of an especially huge-big, or specially-designed, nuclear weapon whose main purpose is to generate one huge electromagnetic pulse. The right bomb exploded at high altitude, just one bomb, could fry every electronic circuit in an area as big as North America. If such thing occurred, even from a natural but especially huge EMP from an intense enough solar flare from our Sun, it is estimated by no less than the United States government (both the military and other agencies that deal with emergencies and civil unrest) that approximately 9 out of 10 Americans and Canadians would be dead of starvation and disease within one year of such an electromagnetic pulse occurring because our food transportation systems have become so complex, with food traveling incredible distances to make it to the typical plate. Our entire society is so reliant on electronics in almost every device one could think of that it's difficult to fathom how deeply effected we'd be, or any other area of the world, such as Europe, from an EMP-weapon. Even rogue and unpredictable states such as North Korea are close to being able to deliver and detonate an EMP-weapon over N. America.

So Russia will have plenty of ways of attacking Europe and/or America, whether they would be any America to finish off after the chastisement of a mega-tsuanmi, or much of the Atlantic European nations either. But I believe, as strange as it sounds since they have been such long term and bitter enemies, that Russia and a Turkish-led Islamic super-state may find common cause and both invade Europe at the same time, with the Turks invading through their traditional route over the Bosporus and through the Balkans, while the Russians would attack through and across the wide Northern European plain north of the Carpathians.

Perhaps they will have an alliance of necessity where a Turkish-led Islamic super-state may need military technology transfer and Russia will need hard currency to replace that lost by the unexpectedly low price of energy that could continue for a very, very long time with the incredible amount of natural gas made available to the world through fracking, which has only mostly been used in the US thus far, but has made the US itself almost energy independent, something considered unimaginable only a couple of decades ago. But Russia will definitely be an essential part of the Minor Chastisement brought upon us by our own sinful nature and hardened hearts against following the teachings of the Church (e.g. over 80% of practicing Catholics on a world average use birth-control, as just one example, which I wrote above, has as it's consequence a dearth of new workers to replace older ones, which will be a major demographic problem which may in part precipitate any conflict, which could yet be a very poignant sign of the "chickens coming back home to roost" due to our disobedience.

But even is an Islamist regional hegemon doesn't ally itself with Russia, no matter how battered Russia is, her arsenal is still there with nothing to stop it to being put to use, with the chances of them happening increasing every day that Russia sees its relative power weakening and its population and economy shrinking. If the US were taken off the international stage because of the disaster of the mega-tsunami, Putin or a like-minded successor would probably act in a matters of months, if not weeks, to invade Europe. It doesn't matter who is in charge in Russia, it's a simple matter of the geopolitical imperative which it's resources, natural geography and its boundaries, etc. place upon it.

I know Our Lord gave as His advice time and again, "Be not afraid", but knowing these things is enough to keep one up all night unable to sleep if you consider how close to all of these things we are, possible very close chronologically, that *could* come to pass as conditional prophecies, and it sure doesn't seem like the Apostasy has turned around any. Even the Pope, though he did not introduce anything new, even his statement about divorced and remarried Catholic in relation to the Eucharist this wekk, it is an ideological "foot-in-the-door" that made my heart feel very heavy.

One quick note about the economic situation and how it can play into prophecy.

There are plenty of economics people - with far more understanding of these things that I have - that say that we're in a currency war right now. Jim Rickards is probably the most prominent voice. They say that currency wars eventually evolve into hot wars. The economic leaders often turn to war to cover over the problems they create.

If Russia is part of prophecy, I would not be at all surprised if our current economic situation kinda "pushes" Russia toward conflict.

Just a thought.

I can see Russia as part of equation and also China, at least the financial one. But if this is going to be a 'global' situation, then anything goes.

I am very late in commenting, but better late than never. You are absolutely correct Mark W. regarding the wars over relative currency right now. Though I don't work in the field anymore, I have a bachelor's degree in finance with a second major in economics with a comp. sci. bachelor's degree in science, I still follow these things with more of an interest and perhaps understanding of the average person.

The biggest impact of currency wars/currency manipulation is that of China artificially keeping their currency way, way lower than it would be if the invisible hand of the market were to set China's exchange rates of the yuan. Why China keeps the yuan so artificially low is to boost it's exports, which are relatively more cheap when the yuan is low. China has been doing this ever since it was allowed to join the IMF, and personally I think they should have had their membership in the IMF revoked many years ago if it was put to them to stop manipulating its currency by so much.

Generally speaking, the lower your currency the better for your exports, and the relatively bigger your currency is, the more that country will import goods whether than building things in the country itself, so a high currency generally is very bad for GDP growth. One of the biggest problems in the US is that whenever their is instability ion international markets investors run to the US dollar (a perfect current example is how after the UK's Brexit decision, the value of the US dollar skyrocketed while the pound, euro, and even the Canadian dollar where I live sank even further against the US dollar.

For me personally, this means I will be buying less things online that come from the US and won't cross the border to shop because the weak Canadian dollar makes it way more expensive. With the energy sector in Canada really in the tank right now, the upside is that our petro-linked currency is very low as a result, so manufacturers and other exporters in Eastern Canada will benefit immensely (it might surprise many Americans to find out that Canada is by far their biggest trading partner in the world). Of course, this doesn't help Western Canada much which is suffering economically very much. We used to, in the West that is, be able to rely on bigger and more lucrative grain exports when the dollar was low, but getting grain to market has become a nightmare since a Conservative government sold the Canadian Wheat Board (a marketing group that helped farmers with pricing and getting their grain to their customers) to Saudi Arabia of all countries... I know farmers personally that have had 3 or 4 bumper crops in a row over the last 4 years with all that wheat and canola slowly rotting in bins because they can't book space on either of our national railways to get their crops to market via Vancouver's shipyards.

Another devastating effect of China keeping the yuan artificially low is that countries like the US just can't compete against China... the wages in China are already so low as to be virtual slave labour, with suicides rampant in factories where workers are sometimes even born, grow up, work, and eventually die all within the confines of one single industrial centre... how can American workers compete against that?? Free trade and immigration have greatly increased America's GDP, but the worker's whose jobs were the price of the higher GDP growth haven't had any new jobs to replace them. This is why only 63% of Americans are even in the job market, why great centers of American manufacturing like Akron, Ohio are now into their third generation of former industrial working people living without ever having had a job of any kind, and why only 1 in every 4 Americans right now has a full-time job with benefits.

So it's rather easy to see in a sense that the effects of currency wars can be as devastating to a country, America in my example, as a hot guns-and-bullets war can be. And not just with off-shoring of jobs, but the jobs made obsolete by technological advance (i.e. robotics, that are now even moving from the factory floor to our roads and highways, with semi drivers, bus drivers, etc. expected to be completely replaced by AI-driven vehicles within a generation; what jobs are going to replace these ones lost? If the last 25 to 30 years of American history are something to go by, no jobs will replace them and workers in the transportation sector will join the ranks of the ever growing structurally unemployed.

It's a fact that transcends the usually left or right political paradigm that almost all GDP growth is going to the top 1/10th of 1% of the people in Western economies, that the poor and middle class (what middle class is left there is) are not receiving any of the vast benefits of globalization, and that this is unsustainable and will eventually lead to another Great Depression if governments don't come up with a solution. Either the ultra-rich need to stop their campaign against paying taxes by hiding almost all income off-shore and also stop their campaign of wage suppression against any class lower than their own, or gov'ts are going to have to implement some sort of universal basic income, because jobs are disappearing because of globalization and no new jobs are coming in to replace them. America has become a nation where 3/4 of people work multiple McJobs with zero benefits and no chance of retiring someday. This same 3/4 of all Americans in recent widespread polling were unable to scrape together even $400 over a period of 3 months to pay for an imaginary emergency like a health problem or needing to get a car fixed... the greed of the ultra-rich notwithstanding, to a large extent this is because of China's 30 year battle via a currency war with the West.

p.s. Some of my remarks may sound socialist, but I can assure anyone that I follow everything set out in The Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church, http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/justpeace/documents/rc_pc_justpeace_doc_20060526_compendio-dott-soc_en.html, and in such things such as first set out in 1891 by Pope Leo XIII in Rerum novarum, things such as Catholics being bound to support strong and unimpeded trade unions, that is is deeply immoral for any employer to pay each worker anything less than a "living wage", which means that a single person working a full-time job should have enough to take care of a family the size of three children as well as their spouse, be able to save for things such as their children's full educations, a retirement, and enough to cover any unexpected medical expenses, something that would condemn almost every employer in the Western industrialized world in the way they treat at least some of their employees.

Many people think of the things Leo XIII and every single other Pope since then that has re-affirmed his critical encyclical as "socialist" in nature, as well as more current Popes who have introduced (or more accurately, clarified) such concepts as the preferential option for the poor, which calls on law makers when passing any new legislation to test it; if said law does not work for the benefit of the poor, but rather for richer people (i.e. more tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy who are the richest on the planet based on purely inherited wealth and assets), then that law is immoral, and the legislators responsible for its passage into law are themselves acting immoral, etc.

Again, even though the above things are often labelled as socialist by many people, they are rather part of the teachings of the Church on social issues (to many far right-wing Catholics great surprise I suppose...).

The islands referred to may not be the Canaries, but rather to the British Isles which is reinforced by the image of the Lion and castle which appear on the Coat of Arms of Scotland.

Sr. Lucy said the tip of the flame-like lance detaches and touches the earth's axis, a position far north of the Canaries which are in closer proximity to the Tropic of Cancer. The flame-like tip may be a reference to a comet or asteroid that precipiates a pole shift. (See UNPRECEDENTED Comet C/2017 K2-‘Comet K2’)

Perhaps a pole shift induces global seismic and volcanic convulsions that would inevitably affect the British Isles and the entire Atlantic Basin with a mega-tsunami.

Elysium was an agrarian-based society not suited to the tropical climate and precipitous geology of the Canaries which instead abound with banana plantations. The Isles of the Blessed may also be a reference the British (Hebrew translation-Covenant People) and more specifically to the Celtic peoples whom remain an unsolved mystery.

It is possible the location of Atlantis is the entire vastness of Americas which were once connected by land bridges to the British Isles as well as between the east coast of South America and the west coast of Africa supported by subsea archaeology.

The connections are provocative and deserve much more research before arriving at any solid conclusions to resolve the intrigue.

Our current history of the world has been jaded...INVERTED by revision which underlies a concerted effort by dark forces that maintain their dominance over this world...BY WAY OF DECEPTION. We will have no grasp of how we arrived at the present, much less have any clue of our future until we have a clear and unadulterated knowledge of the past.
